I would like to populate a linked filed with the lookup field coming from different table. How do I automate this

I’m trying to work out if I can create an automation to do multiple tasks or if they all have to be separate (which might max out my allowance)…I have a table which tracks my book contracts. Each contract may have up to 5 titles on it and each title could be produced in up to 6 editions.  I’d like an automation that creates a record in my edition table for each planned edition…So,Test title 1 HardbackTest tile 1 PaperbacketcI can get this to work if each automation is separate but feel like there should be a way to group it somehow. However, at the moment when I try to create a chain it comes up as ‘otherwise’ so it doesn’t run the paperback if there is a hardback. What am I missing?

I am going around and around a lot on this problem and still trying to fin. d the right way to go.I have a table of invoices. The invoices are numbered sequentially. Right now I have to enter each invoice number by hand after checking a summary table I made that lists the latest invoice number used +1 from a formula.I would like to have the “latest number used +1” inserted into the invoice number field of the new invoice being created. I imagine that it I not as hard was I am making it. I will tell you that I am TERRIBLE at automations. I find them unintuitive and frustrating. It’s probably me.But I am guessing that an automation is what I need..So invoice table is “Invoices: House” and summary table is “Invoice: Next invoice Number”. The summary invoice numbers in the “Invoice: Next invoice Number” table are in a rollup field and the Invoice Numbers in the “Invoices: House” field is a numbers field if that matters.Any help is appreciated.Best, Scott

I’m trying to create a form with múltiple tables, I have a table “Responses” that contains fields directly linked to the form, and i have a table “Sectors”, representing the sector that corresponds to that specific response (I have multiple other tables, but it’s not particularly relevant for this question”)When I want to manually add a Sector to a Response, it shows all responses and fields linked to this Sector (image for reference). I would like to know if its posible to just have the name showing, just like if it was a multiple selection field.Disclaimer: I cant use third party options like fillout. Currently:What i want:  

When I use the search extension in Airtable, it works well for finding a record. However, when I click on a record, it shows me the fields, but I would like to be able to edit them. I have a view that is very well organized, and I was hoping to see the record displayed according to that field arrangement, but unfortunately, I haven't found a way to do this.My goal is to quickly search for a record and, upon clicking it, display the specific information I need. So far, I haven't been able to organize the displayed information in the way I want.

I’m looking for help with integrations: My nonprofit uses Airtable heavily to track lists of people and their contact information. We also use MailChimp to send out updates to our partners, newsletter subscribers, etc. using that contact information. My question is this: Is there a simple way to establish a “Two-Way Sync” between Airtable and MailChimp so that they will always contain the same data, regardless of changes made on either side? I need a true “sync” that will: Update MailChimp with any changes entered in Airtable (add, remove, edit), and Update Airtable with any changes entered in MailChimp (subscribe, remove, edit). I’d rather pay a small fee per month for an established app to do this than build it in Zapier/Make, but either way is fine if it works. TIA, M p.s.  This thing is extremely annoying and interferes with editing the table. The only way I’ve found to disable it is to turn off Omni for the entire base. Is there any simpler way?

ContextI have my base created, and my main table is named the “Event Plan”, within this table, each row is the record (event name).In the second table, called my “tasks” lists all the tasks that an event requires. The Problem I’m FacingRight now, my airtable reuses the same task records across multiple events. So I have ONE "Copy Creation" task that links to all the events (because each event has this task). Hello,I’m trying to automate the population of resumes as attachments to a candidate table once a form is submitted.  I’m having trouble getting the resume file to attach to the resume field.  When I do it like this (within a loop through the uploaded resumes), I get an error saying “Invalid String”.  That’s likely because the “ContentReference” is a JSON formatted string.  I don’t see an option to insert the resume file itself, only metadata.  How can I actually auto-insert the resume file itself? Thank you,Robert

Hi All. I have a problem that I hope is just a result of me missing something simple. I have an automation creating Outlook events from a list of Airtable holidays and birthdays. The “create” automations work fine. I was also able to capture the Event IDs from the Outlook events in the corresponding record in Airtable. Now I’m trying to generate a second automation for record updates using the event IDs and am running into an issue. When I input the data, the “Event ID” field shows up in the “Calendar” field, and the Event ID field is blank, so the automation won’t run. Photo included. Any ideas?

Hi, I am trying to construct a daily email to summarise data. I have all the data I need, but I cannot get the email to structure correctly. I have used HTML to make a table for the data, but when the email sends the formatting is awful. I’m looking for a way to get the table to display correctly, does anyone have any ideas? Hi! I need some help, we have a team of people who are linking their gmail accounts so we can send email automations through their personal gmail accounts. I have the automations set up and each team member is going in to link their accounts. Four of the team members were successful, but two people are having issues.The drop down to add their account is not available (greyed out so they can’t click it and add their account). Any ideas on what is going on and how to fix it?

Hello Community.I want to create a form where the user is inputting an on-call schedule. They will add a technician’s name and the dates he is covering, then if they have another technician, then they add the next technician’s name and dates he is covering.Since Airtable Forms does NOT support “Add another” button in the same form. I need a work around for a form that would have repeatable sections.An internet search told me I need two linked forms – but I can’t find anything to help me do thatThis is what I have. We have 800+ bases, each with several automations, and each automation can be sent to any number of recipients based on the project type.  They are primarily external to our org and non-AT users.  I’m trying to find a concise way to audit those email addresses to ensure they are still current and relevant. Can anyone give me any idea of a way to download/query/export this data without querying each base individually?Thanks

I have a table (Invoices: House) that uses a sequential Invoice # entered in a field type: Number. I am currently entering each one manually as I create a new invoice record in the table. I would like to automate the process of assigning the next sequential number as I create a new invoice record.I am trying to figure out if I can do this with a formula or if I need to use an Automation or a Script.Does anyone have a way to do this?Thanks, Scott

Hi -I need to collect data on the number of projects per month that change from “potential” to “launched”. We currently have this field set up as a single select drop down that we manually update once the project status changes. I am assuming in order to track this I will need to add a time stamp or something to the changes being made? Or can an automation do this? We need to track over the entire year the total number of product status changes, but I am unsure how to collect this info. Maybe a monthly report that gets emailed to me showing the changes that I can then tally?Appreciate any help/ideas! Thank you!

I’m trying to automate period assignment in Airtable and want to check whether I’m missing something or if this just isn’t possible without scripting.I have a Periods table where each record has a Start Date and End Date for a 13-period fiscal year. In other tables like Orders, Packaging, and Transfers, each record has a single Date. What I want is for a record to automatically link to the correct Period when it’s created or when its Date is updated, based on whether that Date falls between the Period’s Start Date and End Date.I haven’t been able to find a native way to do this. Automations don’t seem to allow comparing one date field to another date field, Find records can’t evaluate date ranges using the triggering record’s Date, and rollups and filters don’t allow referencing parent record fields. Hi,We run a photography studio. The customer journey starts with a discovery call, before proceeding with a deepened consultation call for some, and then the actual photo session. The bookings for the discovery call come primarily from Meta ads.When monitoring that we have enough bookings (and potentially need to work on the Meta ads to get more bookings), we need to see historical data for how many bookings we’ve had. This would be on either daily or weekly basis, the problem is the same. For example, we’d like to see a table showing how many bookings we had for the coming two weeks and have this for each day, and see what the historical levels have been.This is how I tested: I first created a new table with one record per day. Then I linked the event bookings to each record (day). I want to look up certain related Procedure Records in my “PNP” table, then I want to add all the related Procedure Records to one field in every Work Record in another table. SO: Triggers: Possibly every time a Work record is created? or on a time schedule?
