Hello.I'm a bit confused about the different types of extensions in Airtable and can't quite figure out which one makes sense for my use case. I already know how to solve this inside a specific base using older approaches, but now I want something more reusable across different bases and aligned with the newer tools.Previously, there were:Airtable Scripting Extensions - easy to reuse by copy-pasting code, but a bit too limited in terms of interactivity. In the interface I have a list with two linked levels. Level 2 (parent) only has a handful of records. One of the records in Level 2 has over 4000 Level1 (child) records. When I open that parent record to vie the child records it is extremely slow and the slowness makes the application largely non responsive - until I move to a different parent record or some other table in the interface.  If I simply open another list in the interface with only the one child table, all 4500 records open pretty much instantly. What's the best way to handle this? 

This question has probably already been answered… but I haven’t managed to find it.So here it goes.I’m trying to implement a work control system for a nursing home. Many of the staff only need to view their tasks and record certain information in a couple of processes.I’ve designed a form for this purpose.On the other hand, the Interface contains multiple administrative views and queries.Currently, we only have one editor user and one viewer user.Unfortunately, I can’t get the staff to have access only to creating, editing, and viewing their own tasks.I’ve tried embeds, iframes, HTML… in many different ways, and nothing works. Airtable always limits me.Am I doing something wrong?Do I necessarily have to pay for additional users?Would that give me another interface?Would Fillout (as suggested by Scott Rose @ScottWorld) be the solution?I don’t want to use tools like Make or n8n.Thanks in advance.Natxo Rodríguez

Hi guys,I have been trying to format my gmail body using html tags but i am not getting my desired output. The formatting looks awfl when sent to customer. Extra spaces have been added above & below the text despite setting the padding to 0. In a rich-text enabled long text I can use [] to create a check list.Trying to create a checklist by default in an automation using the same function but it doesn’t seem to work. Is there anything different I need to do if this is a capability? If not i can look into adding it to a script that I have earlier in the automation.

Hi,How can I change which fields are visible in the “Click to see underlying records” drill-down in an interface dashboard pivot table?Automatically I get “sum” and “link to cost centers” but I’d need to show something else.  Airtable instructions claim that you should be able to do it, but I just can’t see where to do it. “Underlying record detailsIn the User actions section of a dashboard visualization there is the option to allow end users to "Click to see underlying data" from the interface page. This option is per-visualization, meaning you as a builder have the granularity to toggle this on for individual dashboard insights. I’m an executive assistant who manages a “phone sheet” for an individual in the entertainment industry for someone who “rolls calls.” For those not familiar, essentially I call on the behalf of my boss and then keep a running log of all the outgoing calls placed but not answered, incoming calls not answered, reminders for calls to make at a later date, and then mark completed/connected calls. I use a program called “Phoneslate” that I’m attempting to make a dupe on Airtable. Here’s my question: I would like to be able to enter in someone, let’s say “John Smith,” and then have a column where I can select any of the phone numbers linked on the record. As you can see in the example photos, I would like to add a column between the lookup “Company (from Person)” and “Notes”, where it’ll auto-pop up the 4 different phone number columns and I can select one of the linked numbers. I don’t need all of the numbers listed to appear in the grid, just the one that I would select as the best number

 This thing is extremely annoying and interferes with editing the table. The only way I’ve found to disable it is to turn off Omni for the entire base. Is there any simpler way?

Hi,I need to pad a number to a fixed amount of digits (8), i.e. prepend with leading zeros when the significant number is less than 8.This is easy enough to do for integers with a substitute formula:RIGHT("00000000" & {Test SUM},8)However, in my scenario I have decimals and that doesn’t work, since a number 10.00 will count as 2 digits while 10.11 counts as four digits. Hence the padding will be off.I can replace the decimal character for the decimals with something else than .00, but the .00 ones still counts as two digits shorter.SUBSTITUTE( RIGHT("00000000" & {Test SUM},8), ".", "")The above substitute/right formula gives this result. The .45 decimal number is otherwise right but has one leading zero too little. The .00 number is off by two positions to the right (should be 00012300). I tried to come up with a way to treat the integer part and the decimal part separately, but could not find a way with LEN/MID/LEFT/RIGHT to split up 123 and 00 to two separate parts. We have used a shared calendar for this, but it gets somewhat messy.Hence, would it somehow be possible to have the event placed in a dynamically chosen calendar? Hello, I have a workflow which includes repetitive data input. Simple copy-paste have some drawbacks.I have a table called Orders. Each row is one order which includes product, quantity etc. Each order requires multiple tasks to complete and there is a linked table for that called Order tasks. Orders come in patches with different products but every product tasks are very similar. I would like to configure first order tasks and then copy it to the rest of the orders. The problem is that then there are only first few tasks which are linked to ALL of the orders. Each order should have their own set of rows in Order tasks table.I have tried multiple workarounds but I haven’t found working solution. For example, duplicating rows in Order tasks table makes it very tedious to relink to correct row in Order table. I have also configured “allow linking to multiple records” but it seems to have no effect when copying and still links to multiple records even when not allowed.Is there some kind o

When I created my Airtable Community/Academy accounts forever ago, I set them up with my work email because that was my only Airtable login at the time. I’m now leaving this current position and want to transition my logins to an email account that will still be accessible (which is also tied to my personal Airtable account). I can’t seem to find a spot in the Settings or Profile where this can be changed--am I missing something, or do I need to go to Airtable support directly?

Hello,I am new to junction tables and have pretty much zero scripting experience, so bear with me.I am trying to create a breakdown of call sheets for group shoots and create individual “shifts” in a junction table. The goal is to be able to adjust start and end times for those linked in the shoots and to be able to create a more comprehensive reporting interface to track hours and OT by multiple criteria.I cannot show the actual base, but have created a basic example of the structure and result of Airtable’s junction table extension.Client tab:Franchise: Franchises have assigned POCs for internal notifications. I’m using the same automation with the same attachments, but it only runs a few times within about 5 minutes and then starts failing repeatedly for 20-30 minutes.I’m on a Business plan and have more than enough AI credits, so I don’t think it’s a usage limit issue. Does anyone know what might be causing this behavior?   

I just want to highlight or select 20 views or more at a time and delete them when we move from one school term to the next or one year to the next. Is there now a way to do this? There are some posts about this from years ago ...

I want to use the Claude - Airtable connector in my team which allows them to create records from within claude. I want to make sure that when they are creating a record, for eg. a Task, they are asked to give all the information that is required for my processes. I don’t see how I can set the SOP when allowing them to create/edit from claude.

I have enabled all AI models and AI Labs features in our Airtable workspace (we are on a Business plan). However, even though everything appears to be turned on, I am not seeing the “Generate Image” option, nor do I see any image related field agent available. Interestingly, I do see the "Video (AI Labs)" option.Am I missing a step to enable image generation? I am very new to airtable so excuse me if I misunderstand some things.I am trying to use airtable to create a calendar of my bookings.I have two types of bookings. One that lasts exactly 30 minutes and one that lasts several days and start and end time are customizable.Because its a chore to pick a date and time exactly 30 minutes past the start time for my short bookings Im trying to run an automation so that anytime I create a record with no end date it will set the end date field to exactly 30 minutes past the start date.Is this possible?  

Hi,I’m new to airtable and I try to make a script triggered from a button field. I need to get the selected record linked to the button clicked but could not find how to achieve this.I can’t believe there is no way to get the current record id from the script, what am I missing?Thanks.

We use Airtable Interface to match caregivers to clients based on required skills such as Alzheimer’s care, hospice experience, and Hoyer lift. Multi-select fields are the best structure for this type of data because they are clean, scalable, and easy for our team to maintain.In the Interface, we use multi-select dropdowns such as “Skills and Experience” to narrow down caregivers. However, when selecting multiple values in the dropdown, the behavior uses OR logic instead of AND.For example, if we select both “Alzheimer’s Care” and “Hospice Experience,” the results show caregivers who have either skill, not those who have both.In real workflows, we often need to find caregivers who meet multiple required criteria at the same time, such as Alzheimer’s care and hospice. Hello !We have a list of contacts for each entity that we work with. Within this list of people, there are 1-3 people who are designated as authority contacts.I am trying to automate an email to send out periodic reminders to review their information. With a single auth contact, I have a working automation with links personalized to each person.This becomes harder when there are multiple auth contacts. I need the email to be sent to the group of people rather than individually. If I use a token to pull the URL value for the record, it’ll show duplicates of the URL in the email body. Anyone know of a way I can rework this or add to it to make sure that only one of the records’ values displays?

I would like to see the date instead of “5d ago”.  Is that possible?
