I have the following use case: I have images saved as attachments within a table. I need to automatically upload any newly created images via API (not Make or Zapier due to volume) to an 'Input' bucket on S3. From here the images are manipulated by another API and saved to an output folder. When a file is uploaded to the output folder we would send this back to airtable.Can someone give me some general direction in writing a script to enable this? I understand I will need a presigned URL from AWS which is well documented, but I'm struggling on how I might do this using Airtables API. Any help very much appreciated!Many thanksEdward

I create a Make.com automation that sends out a transactional email to the customer when a new record is created in my enrollments table.  The last step in the automation is to update the Enrollment record so show that the Confirmation Email was sent out by updating the record with today’s date.It’s a rather basic setup, but every time I test it out I am getting a “404 Not Found” error when Make tries to update the record.I have checked the Input / Output in the error, but I’m not finding anything useful.  The OAuth connection is working fine to pull the records, and the Base / Table / Field names are all pulled from the dropdowns.  I also checked the Base ID, Table ID, and Field ID from the output bundle, and they are correct.Airtable Update node 404 Error  Input Bundle  Output Bundle  Airtable Field 

I have two separate bases. When a form is submitted in base1, a record is created. When a specific record matches a condition, i want to use an automation to create a record in base2.Ive tried using the sync feature in the data layer, which appears to pull base2 data layer into base1 data layer but when i go to the automation, the table I want to create a new record in is there, but is greyed out and cant be selected. I went through permissions with someone from airtable, but we still can’t figure out what the issue is. This is from the automationIn the table field i can see the table i want to create a new record in, but it is not selectable. IN the data layer, it is listed as grid view   

I want to update a record when a field condition is met, and currently the “Update Record” automation only seems to use any value/change to the field. What I am trying to do when the “Status” field is updated, and ONLY when it’s Value is changed to “Used” do I want to execute the update. Right now when the value is changed from Used to Unused, it runs the automation. Any guide on what combination of actions I can use to do this?

If I use an automation to update fields, does it update the fields in the order listed in the automation? So can I copy data from the existing fields first then update the fields with new data all in the same automation? If they update in order why can't I rearrange the order? just have to delete and reorder them all manually...

I have a Single Select field field that I want to allow users to be able to add new options too when they are in Create Form interface. Since this is not possible, are there any workarounds/alternative designs that anyone has used?My thoughts:1. Using Linked Record is also not possible, since it doesn't allow new record creation from the Create Form interface. 2. Using a text field and then automating creation of the option in Single select also is not possible since I believe it doesn't allow update of the Single Select options through "Run Script" in automation?

I have an email table with field agent that extract information from an email. I want to use data from another “events” table to match the result from the field agent and get the best possible match. Any suggestions on how to achieve this?Regards

As I create Interfaces for my database, I noticed that my record selector box for my source table, always defaults to the earliest record.  I need it to appear blank, when I first open the table's Interface.   Is there a setting that I need to change, or is an "unwanted" feature of the Airtable Interface?

This is kind of complicated and I’m not sure if it will be possible, but here goes. I’m trying to automate data entry for each record I create in my Project table. What I have set up now is a Long Text field called “Paste” where I paste the contents of an email, and several field agents that comb through the text of that email to fill out fields like Project Name, Project Type, Notes, etc. Each email contains the name of several people associated with the project’s production team: directors, writers, and producers. I have a separate table that is a Master Contact List of all the names that have ever been entered, and in my main Project table, I have a linked field called Production Team that links to the Master Contact List. Multiple linked records are allowed so that multiple people can be logged in that field in the Project table. Right now, I have to manually enter all the names. This one is a little convoluted and I can’t figure out where I’ve gone wrong. I have three tables - course list, participant list, and course completion status. I set up an automation so that when a participant is added to the linked field in course list, or a course is added to the linked field in the participants table, it creates a record in course completion with that information.What is happening is that the new record will do one of three things: it will link to the correct record in the course list, it will link to a different record in the course list, or it will create a new record in the course list. I’m trying to convert an Access database we use to track event and participant data to Airtable so that we can get away from Access and all of its downsides. What we have has always seemed pretty simple and straightforward, but I’m really struggling to create a similar situation in Airtable that isn’t so time consuming. What I have is two tables connected by a join table: Events is where I create records for each new event we host, with a unique number as the identifier, as it’s possible to have multiple events on the same day. Participants is where I create records for each new attendee who participates, and the unique identifier is their username. We have new events about every week, and new attendees is unpredictable. Participants may attend one event or many events, and the goal of the database is to track who comes to which events, to be able to pull data about the types of people who come to our events, and to offer transcripts of the events attended by attendees who may ask for

Hi everyone,I’m trying to create a line chart in Interface Designer that shows interest rates over time. My table structure is simple: Date (date field) Rate (percentage field) Type (single select) In the chart settings: I use Date for the X-axis, Rate for the Y-axis, And I apply a filter so that only records with a certain value in the Type field appear. However, I noticed that Airtable automatically applies an aggregation (e.g., average, sum, etc.) to the Y-axis values, and I can’t find a way to set it to “none.”Since each date in my table corresponds to exactly one record (no duplicates), I’d like the chart to simply plot the rate as-is, without aggregation.Is there a way to disable aggregation or make the chart use raw values for each record instead of aggregating them?Thanks in advance!

I understand there is an Admin panel available on the Business and Enterprise plans that looks like a one-stop-shop for organizing user settings/permissions, but that this is not available on the Teams plan. Isn’t there a way on the Teams plan to see all users in one place to see what they have permission to and at what level with the ability to edit the settings right there? Currently it seems like a disorganized mess as I have to go to each element to see who has what and frankly that’s not very clear. An Admin panel seems like database 101 and should be available to all paid plans. Am I missing the boat here? (I feel like I’m missing something obvious.) A specific question: In our workspace, under the Collaborators tab, it shows three users:Me - Workspace OwnerMy boss - Workspace EditorEmployee - Interface Editor Would this setting allow the employee to interact with the base itself, or do can they only see the interface (which is the goal)?

So I’m looking to employ a formula to provide a word count for my SEO keyphrases, which range from 2 to 8 words. Hi everybody,Our company has 3 x sized boxes - small medium large.We fit the following quantities of our product in each  box:Small - 95Medium - 200Large - 300What I want to do is tell a user how many boxes each order will use. I’ve achieved this with nested IFs:IF({quantity} <= {Small Box (from Link To Products)}, "1 x Small Box", IF({quantity} <= {Medium Box (from Link To Products)}, "1 x Medium Box", IF({quantity} <= {Large Box (from Link To Products)}, "1 x Large Box",ROUND({quantity}/{Large Box (from Link To Products)},2)&" x Large Boxes")))This works well. My only issue is with the last statement when orders exceed 1 x Large Box. With an order larger than the size of 1 x Large Box, it returns a decimal of large boxes e.g. “2.67 x Large Boxes”. My question relates to the deicmal  - I now want my formula to say whether that residual decimal would fir into a small box, medium box or round up to another full large box.I’m used to nested IFs going in one direction, but no

I am on the Free plan for now trying to make sure everything will work …. I’ve got a Find records and no matter what it only returns 10 records, even if I make the only condition where it should catch them all. For example the primary field of “Name” is not empty. Or switching to a View based and still the same result.Is the free account limited on the number of found records? or am I being a major bonehead on my action...

Hello! I’m having more difficulty than I’d like to replace text with a newline.In the Airtable Find & Replace extension script, I’ve modified it to support RegExp find and special character replace. However, when I replace the text with a special character like a newline, it always comes out in a literal text format.Here’s a real basic example of what I’m doing:let originalValue = record.getCellValue(field);let findText = "<br>";let replaceText = "\n";let newValue = originalValue.replace(findText, replaceText);Every time I view the replaced results, there is always a \n in the output: Is it possible to ensure that Airtable treats \n (I’m even doing \u{005C} to try to get around it and it doesn’t work) as an actual newline and not literally as “\n” ?

I’m building a self-referencing task dependency system in Airtable. Each task can list its Predecessors, the tasks that must be completed before it,  and I want Airtable to automatically display the corresponding Successors, the tasks that depend on it, without any code or automation.In short, I’m creating a two-way view of task relationships so that linking one side (Predecessors) automatically reveals the other side (Successors). So in the image attached, “Conduct internal briefing meeting” should show up as a successor in “Project set-up”. If anyone can help this would be amazing!

Hi all, I have been struggling to figure out a way to solve this all day. I am wanting to track checked out laboratory media in an interface graph so that team members who create the media can see how much is being used per week. I’d like this to be automated for the previous week, but specifically Monday through Sunday of the previous week (so that you can check any day of the current week and the numbers would remain the same for the previous week). My plan for this was to set an automation trigger for early Monday morning, that then finds all records within the last 7 days (all checked out items have creation dates + times for the check-out record), and then marks them with a date for the previous week’s Monday, using the Update Record command (which would be found using a formula field consisting of DATEADD(NOW(), -7, 'days'), which will return the previous Monday (because the trigger to pull from this field is occurring Monday morning). The interface would then pull from values wi

Hi everyone, I’m currently testing the ai field agent’s capabilities for automatized tagging of records, but I’ve come across a limitation that I seek to overcome with your help: No centralized tag management. When using the field agent for direct ai tagging, I have not found any option to provide tags in a centralized way, similar to how you can do with linked fields for human tagging. There is the ai recommendation option integrated into the linked record field, but this does only add a recommendation for human usage. Is there a way to have it both? The centralized tagging table and ai field agent tagging? I’m considering injecting an accumulated list, of all entries in my tag table, into the prompt of a simple text ai field agent and have it output it’s selection as a list, which hopefully could be linked via automatization features.
