Hello team, hope you’re doing well.Is there any way to share or extract the schema of an automation in the aim to share with functional people, non technical just to make sure that we are respecting the functional specifications.

Hi, I am trying to construct a daily email to summarise data. I have all the data I need, but I cannot get the email to structure correctly. I have used HTML to make a table for the data, but when the email sends the formatting is awful. I’m looking for a way to get the table to display correctly, does anyone have any ideas? Ideally I want the table to sit in the white space with the other text I have attached a copy images to show the issue and what the raw form looks like

Hi! I need some help, we have a team of people who are linking their gmail accounts so we can send email automations through their personal gmail accounts. I have the automations set up and each team member is going in to link their accounts. Four of the team members were successful, but two people are having issues. The drop down to add their account is not available (greyed out so they can’t click it and add their account). Any ideas on what is going on and how to fix it?

Hello Community.I want to create a form where the user is inputting an on-call schedule. They will add a technician’s name and the dates he is covering, then if they have another technician, then they add the next technician’s name and dates he is covering.Since Airtable Forms does NOT support “Add another” button in the same form. I need a work around for a form that would have repeatable sections. An internet search told me I need two linked forms – but I can’t find anything to help me do thatThis is what I have. A table for the On-call schedule where a year of weeks is set up with the start and end dates for that week, and the property.I then have a On-call Assignments table that has the technician’s name, the work week they are assigned. Then I have two forms that I want it to seem logical for the user to fill out and,  I want the tables to logically be; This technician → belongs to → THIS schedule → At this propertyAm I on the right track? How to I wrap this up in a bow? Thank you a

We have 800+ bases, each with several automations, and each automation can be sent to any number of recipients based on the project type.  They are primarily external to our org and non-AT users.  I’m trying to find a concise way to audit those email addresses to ensure they are still current and relevant. Can anyone give me any idea of a way to download/query/export this data without querying each base individually? Thanks

Good afternoon, everyone, I’m now trying to set up my tables so when “Shoot Date” is updated in the “Shooting Schedule” table, the box is checked under “Interview Scheduled?” in “Interviewees’ Contact Status” for the corresponding interviewee, in this case, Alan Barker. Shooting ScheduleInterviewee Contact StatusHowever, I’m running into issues when setting up the automation. I think I’ve pinpointed what the issue is based on reading previous threads in this forum with similar problems to mine which is that the Record ID is not changing from the ‘Trigger’ to the ‘Action’ step:AutomationSo, I’m kind of stuck as I don’t know how to find a different Record ID so I can get the ‘action’ to work successfully.TROUBLESHOOTING I’VE DONE SO FAR:For the trigger step, I’m not entirely sure how many fields I’m supposed to select. I only selected “Shoot Date” initially and the automation didn’t work so I thought the issue might be I didn’t select “Cast” which is a linked record to the database of in

I have a table (Invoices: House) that uses a sequential Invoice # entered in a field type: Number. I am currently entering each one manually as I create a new invoice record in the table. I would like to automate the process of assigning the next sequential number as I create a new invoice record.I am trying to figure out if I can do this with a formula or if I need to use an Automation or a Script.Does anyone have a way to do this? Thanks, Scott

Hi -I need to collect data on the number of projects per month that change from “potential” to “launched”. We currently have this field set up as a single select drop down that we manually update once the project status changes. I am assuming in order to track this I will need to add a time stamp or something to the changes being made? Or can an automation do this? We need to track over the entire year the total number of product status changes, but I am unsure how to collect this info. Maybe a monthly report that gets emailed to me showing the changes that I can then tally?Appreciate any help/ideas! Thank you!

I’m trying to automate period assignment in Airtable and want to check whether I’m missing something or if this just isn’t possible without scripting.I have a Periods table where each record has a Start Date and End Date for a 13-period fiscal year. In other tables like Orders, Packaging, and Transfers, each record has a single Date. What I want is for a record to automatically link to the correct Period when it’s created or when its Date is updated, based on whether that Date falls between the Period’s Start Date and End Date.I haven’t been able to find a native way to do this. Automations don’t seem to allow comparing one date field to another date field, Find records can’t evaluate date ranges using the triggering record’s Date, and rollups and filters don’t allow referencing parent record fields. Because of that, the only options I can see are manually selecting the Period or using a script.Has anyone in the community has found a native way to automate date range based period linki

Hello everyone,I’m new to Airtable and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.I run a small insurance and finance company (about 2 years old), and I’m trying to sync data between two tables: Insurance Policies and Insurance Documents. The goal is for any changes made in the Policies table to automatically update the corresponding record in the Documents table.I’ve tried linking records, but that causes unwanted behavior (for example, it creates new records in the Policies table when I select Policy IDs in the Documents table). I then tried setting up automations, but I keep running into errors and loops.Below is the automation prompt I was attempting to follow:“Create an automation that keeps the Insurance Documents table perfectly in sync with the Insurance Policies table. Whenever a record in Insurance Policies is created or updated, find the matching record in Insurance Documents where the Policy ID matches the Policy Number. If a matching record exists, update:• Carrier

Hi,We run a photography studio. The customer journey starts with a discovery call, before proceeding with a deepened consultation call for some, and then the actual photo session. The bookings for the discovery call come primarily from Meta ads. When monitoring that we have enough bookings (and potentially need to work on the Meta ads to get more bookings), we need to see historical data for how many bookings we’ve had. This would be on either daily or weekly basis, the problem is the same. For example, we’d like to see a table showing how many bookings we had for the coming two weeks and have this for each day, and see what the historical levels have been. This is how I tested: I first created a new table with one record per day. Then I linked the event bookings to each record (day). I then created a lookup field that would select all events of the type Discovery and wanted to add a filter for including only those events with a date “on or later” than that record’s date, which was not p

I want to look up certain related Procedure Records in my “PNP” table, then I want to add all the related Procedure Records to one field in every Work Record in another table. SO: Triggers: Possibly every time a Work record is created? or on a time schedule? A button?Step 1: Look up all related Procedures records based on a Work Record category fieldStep 2: For every Work Record, add all the related Procedures records to a “PNP” fieldShould be easy right? Just some ideas here but it didn't work at all..

Hello everyone,I am trying to make a nested IF/AND formula to do the following:IF the ‘Date First Contacted’ = blank, status = ‘Not Contacted.” IF the ‘Date First Contacted ‘= not blank and ‘Follow-Up Date’ = not blank, status = “Followed up.”Is it possible to write this into a formula given that ‘Date First Contacted’ and ‘Follow-Up Date’ are separate fields?  Thank you!

Is there a way to automate the following scenario using any of the automation tools (like Make, Zapier)A change in a field in airtable triggers a 'create a campaign' on mailchimpThe campaign is reviewed and sent manually. The sent campaign triggers a 'change in status column' in the airtable. Is this kind of two-way sync possible? Thanks!

Hi guys,I'm relatively new to scripting, so I've mostly used scripts I find in this amazing community and adapted them to my tables. Once such script I've tweaked to create junction tables. It automatically creates entries in a junction table when a linked record field is updated. It has been working pretty well for a 5-6 months now, then all of a sudden earlier today, it started giving the error:ERRORTypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading '0')at main on line 38"Usually I can figure out what is going on and fix it, but this really has me stumped. I didn't touch the script today (I'm the only one who manages them). I took a snapshot of the base from this morning and the script works in that, so I tried to copy/paste the code from that to the live version, but it still didn't work. Which lead me to believe that has something to do with a change in the base, like a changed field or table name. So I thought, okay maybe someone accidentally changed a field name. Double chec

I’m trying to filter using linked records but i must have a mental block. Table A is People Records. it is linked to: Table B: Service Records (multi records) Table C: Congregation (one record) Table C is Congregation. It is linked to: Table D: Districts (one record) Note: it is NOT linked to Service Records, but does have a lookup field to Service Records (from People). Table D has lookup fields for: Service Records (from Congregations) I want to report the number of Districts that had at least one Congregation that has a Service Record that meets the following criteria:Service contains “2025 11” {Service is the “Name field”} Service does not contain “Cancelled” {Service is the “Name field”}I also want to report the number of Congregations that have a People Record with a Service Record that meets the same criteria.Service contains “2025 11” {Service is the “Name field”} Service does not contain “Cancelled” {Service is the “Name field”} The problem i’m running into is that some Pe

We all know about ChatGPT. It’s profoundly expanding the possibility of creating some very smart systems. Pervasive and near-free access to LLMs (large language models) inch us closer to AGI (artificial general intelligence), which can be applied to apps and data in several ways.Airtable, of course, is readily able to enjoy the benefits that services such as OpenAI provide to developers. Integrating the power of LLMs for text and code completion is almost trivial. These are magical capabilities, but they aren’t the only capabilities. Most AI experts and analysts agree - AI will become pervasive in all solutions, and the ones that create the greatest customer value will blend application data, user context, and LLMs to create extremely relevant and powerful outcomes.Rows That Have MeaningAirtable search is not a pleasant experience at all. The findability of discrete records in a table is terrible. Locating key data across multiple tables and bases is almost impossible. I have explored t

Hi all, I import CSV files with salary ranges.There are two fields from CSV: “Salary Min” & “Salary Max”. Their format is $75,000.00. I want to have them in one field ($75,000 - $100,000), so created a third field with the formula IF(  AND({Salary Min}, {Salary Max}),    "$" & {Salary Min} & " - $" & {Salary Max} & "/yr",    "") However,  I get “$75000 - $100000/yr”.I looked around and tried AT’s AI but so far luck.Is there a way I can resolve this? Thanks a lot

I have a separate table for contacts, name, email, tel, address, etc. In the primary field, I enter the person’s name, eg. John Smith. Having read somewhere useful for the base design to have separate fields for a person’s name, I have added two fields immediately to the right of the primary, field name FN (for first name) and SN (for surname). Each field option Single Select. Which means that whenever I add a record in the primary field I also have to add the person’s first and surname separately to the respective fields. I sort on primary field and that suits my needs, as in the event not finding instantly does a filter or simple search. But unless there is some benefit to the database set-up evolution in having two separate fields for FN and SN I can’t see any advantage. Is there? and if so then what is it? tia

I have a table with a linked field to another table. The linked field refers back to the primary key of the table I am linking back to (eg a unique project number) but that is just numbers and it doesn’t mean anything to most users when searching. Is there any way I can have the linked field search for the name of the project rather than typing in the unique primary key to the record I want to link back to? I have added a lookup field but this only pulls in the project name field once I have linked back using the link field by entering the corresponding unique job number,

Hello all, We have recently implemented Airtable on our team to account for hours worked by employees. To gather the information, I created a form in which they answer at the end of every work-day to take into account the actual hours worked. These answers feed a database that groups every reply by week/employee. In the database, I created a column of “Work-day” which is the employee’s weekly hours divided by 5 business days. This way, when they answer the form, I would have the daily overtime and then it would be grouped weekly and it would give me the weekly overtime. However, the team is mainly composed by part-time workers and that’s where it becomes tricky. We don’t really enforce a fixed start/finish hour, so a person who has a contract of 18 hours/week, may work only 2 days one week and then 5 days the next week, picture below.  What I would like for it to do, and that I wasn’t able to, is to calculate how much overtime (or time they didn’t work) they are doing per week, based of

I run a small non-profit and we use Airtable to track all of our donors/volunteers/etc. I want to do address labels for a mailing. We currently have the columns set up as First Name, Spouse Name, Last Name, Street Address, City, State, Zip. Is there an easy way to print labels from Airtable? If the best way is to export, then how do I get around that my columns are too specific (ie I need First, Spouse, Last name to be one line, and City, State, Zip to be one line). Thanks!

Hello everyone,I’ve created an Airtable to help manage pre-production workflows and am struggling to get what I think is a simple automation running; I’d like that when a record is assigned a contact person (The “Assigned?” field is “Yes”) and given an “Assignee” to carry out this task, that the status of that record be updated in the “Interviewees” table to “Contact Assigned.” This is the automation I’ve set up so far but no matter what I do, I keep getting the “Record does not exist” error.I can’t get it to update the status of the record within the “Interviewees” table. Now I’m wondering the problem lies in the fact that the record name or interviewee name is not the primary field in the ‘Interviewee contact status” table, but you can’t make a primary field a linked record. Is there any way to get around that or is that not the problem at all? Is this an automation problem or a table infrastructure problem? Thank you!

I’m looking at building an interface to streamline inputting some information but before I think about redesigning my current database I just want to check if it’s possible to create an interface that would allow information to be updated across multiple tables?Even more complicated, would it be possible for the interface to react live to automations? To try to give a bit of context I want to have a contract table where the top line contract information is kept - as part of this an automation creates different versions of a product linked to that contract in an editions table…Could an interface handle me entering the contract detail and then have the editions appear ready to be edited?
