Am i missing something?  I prompted omni to make a new dashboard page with a custom element to view my rental inventory in the netflix style (like we were shown in the announcement zoom).  I asked it to create each row by the ‘type’ field and to show certain data when hovering over the thumbnail.  Maybe that part was too big a request…It created a standard gallery view of all my stuff…  Nothing really ‘custom’ about it.Anyone have success building custom elements with omni?

I’ve got a base with an “Event Finished” formula field that works like this:IF(DATETIME_DIFF({End}, NOW()) < 0, TRUE(), FALSE())It resolves into a checkbox, and I use it to filter out finished events from admin list views. My base currently sees about ~15-20ish events a day, which have times attached, and the folks that need to monitor the views have told me they find it really annoying when finished events aren’t filtered out of a given list view.And it works fine! I could be using IS_AFTER rather than DATETIME_DIFF, but otherwise, it does the job. However, I know NOW is a function to avoid. Its inaccuracies aren’t a big deal to me (if the formula clears out an event 15 minutes later than it should have, that’s not the end of the world), but its computational cost is becoming more of an issue. I assume NOW continues to recompute for every record, even those that are well beyond completed at this point. I’m trying to optimize things so NOW gets called less, so here are some question

Some of my text fields are VERY long with formatting etc. is that still going to work when being sent via a query string? Seems to so far but I would hate it to break.

I have created an automation that sends an email with text and numbers. The numbers are pulled from two dynamic fields. One field is a percentage and the other field is a currency. However, the percentage and currency formats aren’t making it over to the email (sent by Airtable). Looking for input on how to format the numbers into percentage and USD currency. 

Airtable Community, I am looking for AI use cases for Project Management. We at Kalypso use Airtable primarily for Project Delivery. We manage health reports, Stakeholders, Assumptions, Schedule, RAID, Scope, Deliverables, Meetings, Etc. Most of the AI use cases I have seen demonstrated are more Marketing focused. Background: I have a feed that inserts data into an Airtable base using the API. Sometimes the feed inserts non-printing characters into one of the fields.Specifically, it inserts the UTF-8 Byte Order Mark (BOM), EF BB BF, in the middle of a string. The field it gets inserted into is a URL field.The BOM isn’t visible in Airtable, but when we try to use the link, we get 404 because of the %EF%BB%BF in the middle of the link.For example, the link as displayed in Airtable would be something like “https://community.airtable.com/topic/2341”, but what is actually stored is “https://community.airtable.com/topic/%EF%BB%BF2341” . Searching for %EF%BB%BF in Airtable using filters or automations gives no results.Question: How can I search for and remove the BOM from field values where it appears?

I’ve set up a base that tracks a specific team’s incoming trouble Tickets. The main Tickets table has a single-select field for Status, which can be ‘Submitted’, ‘Needs further details’, ‘Queued’, ‘In Progress’, or ‘Done’. I’m now working on reporting and management would like to know the full time it takes for ticket resolution, but also how long a ticket remains in each status before progressing.I can’t decide which of these approaches would be preferable: Have an automation create a new linked record in a Reporting table with a time stamp when a ticket is created, and then create an additional new linked record on the Reporting table for each subsequent Status update. Then I’d need to do a little more work to compile all of the records on the Reporting table that link to each Ticket (I’m assuming via a bunch of rollup fields). Is there a supported way to update Script Extension code using an API? For example, have scripts stored in a GitHub repository, built using GitHub Actions, and then deployed to Airtable. I am using the new form builder and want to filter the values of a dropdown field, Product, based on the value of another field, Designer, on the same form.Although I found the "filter records by a condition" option, I cannot see a way to use the Designer field's value as the condition for the filter. I’ve set up a marketing base and part of what I’m using it for is creating UTM parameters. There are a few fields that are inputted via form, like campaign name and start date. Each of those has a secondary field in the base where the data from the first is made lowercase, special characters and spaces are removed, etc. Then those reformatted fields are all concatenated together into one field called ‘Calculated UTMs’. As is standard with UTMs, several of those different sections are separated by underscores.I’ve set up an automated email to send these generated UTMs to someone on our GA team, and I’m pulling in the ‘Calculated UTMs’ field, but it’s displaying the final UTMs incorrectly - instead of showing with the underscores, it’s removing them and using them as indicators of where to make the text italicized. Hello, I am filtering out a view based on the value of a “single line text” field in which I search for a specific substring (E.G. “Backrow”) although I got presented also the records in which there is the same word but with different casing (“BackRow) and I don’t want that.Am I missing something or the filtering for “single line text” is actually case insensitive? Beginner here, first post - certainly not the last.  What I am needing seems like it should be simple, but the solution is evading me.What I'm looking to implement is a way to find the total number of rows (volunteers) from table A and write that into table B once a week so I can track the total number of volunteers over time.I have linked both tables but no matter what field I try to run the COUNTALL on, the result always seems to come back a 1.  Ideally, I'd like to use an automation so that this total is pushed to the history table once per week.  Sure could use some help here.TIA,Dan 

Hi community, I recently had to solve the situation where I needed to get URLs from hyperlinks stored in rich text formatted long text fields and put them in another long text field. Essentially, just showing the URL, not the hyperlinked text. I ended up adapting the "Convert attachments to URLs" script (posted by Alex Wolfe). I had found a post here, that used a regex expression but this seemed to only work for visible URLs. I never could get it to work for my use case. Hi all,Seeing lots of posts from 2021 and 2022 about an inability to print from Airtable. When I go to print either a record review interface, or from the page designer, the generated PDF is an absolute mess.A lot of the posts say Airtable are working on it, so hoping that in the 2 or 3 years that progress has been made, or a work around solution has been found?If not, is it fair to conclude that printing from Airtable requires an external app and to factor those costs in when assessing costs for Airtable?Thank you,Ryan

Howdy all, I promise I really have looked at exisitng topics but there is information overload. Ideally I would like ot use ODBC driver to connect to AT to Windows via ODBC driver, I found several but they are all expensive subscriptions.  It seems AT may have its own ODBC driver now??  But I can’t find it anywhere in the AT documentation. What is the best extension or method to use data from multiple tables within a base, fill in essentially form letters WITHOUT using the extensions that you have to put the information boxes on the template.   The data I have for the body of the “letters” is sometimes several pages and I can’t find an extension that doesn’t chop off the rest of the text once it goes beyond the bottom of the information box or window we placed in the page setup.  We are printing the letters to PDF. Any suggestions for something that would act as “mailmerge” or is an annual ODBC sub to CCData or Devart the best way to go?? Thanks!!!

Hi All,I want to create a tennis league and publish it on my webstite which I created in Webflow. The database is to be dynamic, information will be added using a airtable form. There will be 16 players in the league and they will play each others. The goal is to get the current league table and ranking. On the page I want to display the results of all the players' matches (example - 6:2 3:6 7:5), the current position and the amount of points collected so far. I have used SOFTR + AirTable to build a project management portal for my customers. The primary purpose of this portal is to have a common place for my customers to enter information that will be used in the video projects we build for them, so my customers must be able to login with a user (client) account. When onboarding a customer I need to create 3 records:The athlete record, which operates like the “company” record in a CRM The User account record which is a user in the softr platform The project record which is where the customer work will get done. It is linked to the athlete record and the user account record.The softr user table is sync’d/linked to a table in airtable called users.  Generally, I assume it is normal for the softr user accounts (clients) to be created using the softr studio interface. We have Dymo LabelWriter 4XL's set up at various stations, and we have labels designed in Page Designer. Our receiving station, for example, has a Receiving Interface, and labels need to be created for everything we receive.To print a label, the user has to click a button in the grid element of the interface for the line just received, which redirects them to the record in the underlying base (already a bad situation), then click a button that takes them to page designer, then click 'print' 3 or 4 times to get a label to come out.My background is in warehouse distribution, where our purpose-built warehouse management software would simply print a label as soon as something is received, that is the level of functionality we want to mimic, or come close to.So we are looking at 3rd par

While I love the clean look of Interfaces, it’s frustrating that we can’t manually reorder records (drag-and-drop) within a list or table.In the base view, we can reorder records manually, but in Interfaces we’re stuck with sorting rules or creation order, and new records always go to the bottom.For teams using Interfaces to manage workflows (without exposing the full base), this feature would be incredibly helpful.Are there any plans to enable manual ordering or drag-and-drop within Interfaces in the near future?Thanks!

Hi,I want to ask for Ideas to optimize AI Attachment Analyze workflowMy files are named with random group of chars.I created a table, where Attachment uploaded to ‘File’ field. There is AI field READ that analyze content of Attachment, and outputs a few parameters needed to categorize.For Example, it’s ‘Doc Number’, ‘pages’, ‘City’ ‘Doc date’, ‘Summary’. City is single-select. After AI filled this data, automation triggered, that puts each data in respective fieldThen formula field ‘New filename’ generates name according to this data.Then automation launched by ‘New filename’ renames a file and puts it to ‘Document’ field(i suppose that each record has 1 file only, if more, it gets only with first in cell. it’s OK)it all works OK, but since I don’t need 2 doc fields, I changed Automation so it renames file and puts back into the same ‘File’ field . But this triggers AI again.  AI gets the same data so nothing changes after that. But I don’t like that it makes second run. It’s not just
