Hi all. I am pretty new to working with AirTable but have managed to figure out most of what I need to know thanks to the documentation and this community! I have one question by which I am flummoxed, however: linked record filtering.We have a base with a bunch of different tables in it, including one for Team Members and one for Tasks. In the Tasks table we have a field for Status, which is a single-select field with four options: Not Started, In Progress, Completed, and Deferred. Tasks also has a field that allows them to be linked to particular team members.In the Team Members table we have a field that pulls in all of the tasks associated with a team member. I’d like that field to be filtered by task status, so that only tasks that are not completed are shown. I’d think that turning on “Filter record selection by a condition”  and using a static filter like this would work:Filter record selection by a condition, connected to task statusIt isn’t actually filtering, though; all tasks

Hello all,Curious if there’s a way to get a Field Agent to ignore blank fields?I have a Field Agent built that I would like to review three fields in a single record, analyze the data in those fields, then output a choice among a multiple select option. Sometimes, one or more of these fields will be blank/not contain any data, but I’d still like the Field Agent to check the other non-blank fields and output a choice. Is there a way to have the agent run even if fields are blank?

Hi guys, I’m a baby on this industry, Automation, AI, so on, but im about to learn from basic.As a first step, Im on the learning & studying by myself alone to use Zapier.But, Unfortunately, Airtable doesn’t allow me to access with login on macOS.(I tried a lot of method, changing Browsers safari, chrome, ARC and also accounts google, apple.Only mobile app accepting my ID, but it doesn’t seems that i can do something on that App)So i’m very discouraged to study automation because i’m stuck with this issue.I hope here is someone who know this issue and recommend a solution with referable links.Please find below captured screenshot.  *Below green bar doesn’t proceed anymore :(

Hi Any idea when Airtable will update its markdown syntax to accept inline images? I love to send emails with Airtable automation, but I can’t find a way to integrate my signature to emails !

Having trouble with another automation. I’m trying to make an automation that will send an email to an assigned care worker, when one of their assigned clients (global worker) has not had a touchpoint in more than two weeks. I’ve mapped it to send an email to their email ID from the linked table, but it’s saying “Invalid email address in the "to" field: fldoiK6gc9Jd7MMgy”. Hey all, I’ve got another (hopefully) easy question for y’all.IF({Rental Fee}="", "", {Rental Fee} / {Open Duration})Here’s what I’ve got. Open Duration is another equation where I used DATETIME_DIFF to calculate the number of months (success!). Rental Fee is a currency field where I plug in the numbers. What I really want to do is see how much the rental fee came out to per month.Cool thing is that the IF field is working well enough, I only get #ERROR! on the fields where the equation is applicable. Not cool thing is the whole #ERROR! message bit. 😂 If rental fee is $10,000 and duration is 10, then why am I not getting $1,000?I can’t figure out what I’ve done wrong. Any thoughts? Greetings, I’m new to Airtable.I want to run a script to delete field columns that contain the word (SS)I get this error:“deleteFieldAsync available: no⚠️ Your current environment/role does not support deleting fields via script.Please run this in Extensions → Scripting with a Creator role, or delete the fields manually.”I am the Owner of the base.I am in extensions → Scripts and running this script from there.Why is it not allowing me to delete if I am an Owner and I am running the script from extensions?Thanks!

I’ve been trying to make formula to proper clean person name, but the result is weird. It’s like the LOWER() function dominates the whole result even though I put it in the middle… is this a bug?if I remove the LOWER() it only works if you dont meet with the all capital names (Like “JOHN DOE WHITE” would stay the same)I even tinker with internal AI and Copilot with the same results.I basically just want to make start with Capital, clean all unnecesarry whitespacesCan somebody help me?

I have what I think is a fairly straightforward task for Airtable AI but I can’t figure out how to execute. Here’s my use case: Users create a new SURVEY record via form, attaching a PDF that contains the topline results of a public opinion survey -- ie, it’s a PDF with text like “Q12: What is your opinion of [topic]?” and then shows the results broken down by subgroup.) I want the AI to extract all of the questions from the PDF and then... create records in a related table QUESTIONS, one record per question. What I’ve done: I can get an AI Field Agent to create a list of the questions in a text field. But I can’t figure out how to make one create new records in the linked Questions field. I can get Omni to do this via a manual prompt (“using the attachment in [record name], extact the questions from the file and create….”)But I can’t figure out how to make this automatic. Ie, once a new SURVEY record is created, the AI goes and makes the child QUESTION records by itself. Am I missing

I’ve got a very simple IF statement Facon is a check box, and it’s clearly empty.Material Supplier address is a lookup and is filled in in most instances. However, I can’t get this basic thing to work? Am I doing something wrong?

I have a list of URLs that return XML documents.I put the URLs into a new table and created an AI field with the prompt “Fetch the URL at {URL} and process it as follows...” (the rest of the prompt isn’t relevant)I enabled Internet access in the Airtable Settings and ran the field agent.Instead of getting the XML documents, I get "I’m unable to fetch or retrieve content from external URLs" (GPT 4.1-mini) or “Sorry, I can't fetch or insert the contents of external URLs.” (GPT 4.1).I was only able to get this to work if I checked “Enable internet search” for this field, but I do not want it to do a web search. I want it to go fetch a specific URL and process the XML. So I have two questions: Is it actually searching the Web instead of just going directly to the specified URL? (which would be a waste of credits)  If not, why do I need to enable “Web search”?Thanks for any info,Natalka

I’m using Airtable to organize a writing group, and I’m trying to set up an automation that will send a weekly reminder about the meeting on the day before we meet, but only to the people who opt into the reminders (who are all listed in a “Reminders List” view of my “Members” table). However, when I activate the automation, it sends multiple emails to each person on the list. How have folks set up weekly reminders to a designated group? I can’t seem to get the table’s “email” field to work as a correct input for “To” so I’ve used another airtable community post’s recommendation of the “find records” action to make a list of people needing the email...but now instead of four people each receiving the email once, each of us receives the email four times. Here’s what I currently have set up, in case that’s helpful:Trigger: at a scheduled time (Mondays at 10am) - WORKS First Action: find records (From the “Members” table, make a list of everyone in the “reminders list” view) - WORKS Secon

I’m trying to write a nested if formula in a CRM document. I have a column for the frequency I need to contact someone, a column with the date they were last contacted and a column that I want to say “Overdue” if it’s more than X days since my last contact. For instance, if I have the Frequency marked Monthly, I want it to say “Overdue” if it’s been more than 30 days since my last contact.Here’s what I have now, but it doesn’t say “Overdue” when it should. I've never been fussy about colors, but the new options for base themes are a big step backwards for me.  The old bright, bold, cheery, energetic & fun colors that made the Airtable experience feel enjoyable and different from your average boring, serious database, have been replaced by: A) a dark, dreary version (my green base now looks exactly like Excel - uugh) or a mushy pastel version (were people asking for more 'washed out' low contrast header options?).The fun bright colors were part of Airtable's experience (and brand) for me.  Is there a way to bring them back for my workspace?  

Here’s what I have:Meetings table with Meeting Status single-select field.Tasks table with Task Status single-select field.What I want to do:When Task contains (blah)and when Task Status is Completed.ThenUpdate Meeting Status to Completed in Meetings table.I did this exact same thing a while ago with the same tasks table and an exam table, and it works perfectly. Here’s a screenshot: But when I set it up exactly like this one, it doesn’t work? I’ve even duplicated the automation that does work, only changed the action’s table and field, and it still doesn’t work.How am I doing it differently from the first? How do I make it work? It needs to only work on the single meeting that is connected to this task (there is not more than one).

I want to make sure I'm not missing something. I have an automation that copies some data columns from one table to another, when a button is clicked on an interface. It does this for batches of data, and I have a checkbox to mark when the automation reviewed a record.This is easy to setup using the Repeating group feature.However, I also now want it to check for duplicates. Rather than creating a new People record, I also want to check if that person exists.This would require using the Conditional Logic tool in automations. However, I can't seem to use both Conditional Logic and Repeating Group. I'd like to 'Repeat' through every record, then use a Conditional Logic by finding if a match exists.I'm guessing my only option would be to script this using Javascript in the automation. Is that correct or am I missing something? 

I have an automation that runs everyday, looks for records with certain conditions and if they exist, adds them as a grid to an email that is sent out. The problem is, if there aren’t any records that day, I get an error because it still tries to send the email. Conditional logic(else do nothing) to prevent an email from being sent if there were no records would make sense to use here. I don’t see those options coming up when I try to add actions. Am I missing something or is this a bug? I’m not looking for an script alternative. If there a way to do this using the block logic I’d like to know.

I'm trying to create an automation that when a form is submitted to one table (Touch Points) then it also updates another record in a different table (Global Worker) I’ve got the RECORD ID formula showing in Global Worker table, and am Linking the automation to it.However I’m getting the Received Invalid Inputs. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here. ​​​​​​ 

spreadsheets Hi, I’m trying to recreate the structure of the attached spreadsheet in Airtable, but I'm running into trouble because each checklist item needs a different field type. I'm a PM, and I'm building a checklist that I want to go through once per project. Each checklist item requires a different field type. After discussing with ChatGPT, I was told that if there are 10 field types, I should create 10 separate fields and input each item only into its corresponding field type. But this checklist isn't just for me — about 20 team members will need to fill it out frequently. If it's structured this way, it becomes very inconvenient for everyone to use. What would be the best way to structure this kind of checklist in Airtable?

Two similar linked records link the BOOKINGS/LICENCES and the COSTS tables with the REPORTS table. I create a new record on the junction REPORT table (primary field = ReportID), and I manually choose to bring which licenses from the BOOKINGS/LICENCES table and which costs from the COSTS table will be included in this particular report from linked record on each tables.  Then I created a linked record both on the BOOKINGS/LICENCES table and on the COSTS tables that automatically pulls into those tables the reportID number (primary field) and an associated lookup field, so I can know directly from the BOOKINGS/LICENCES table, in which report a particular license is included. Same from the COSTS table.  I replicated the same logic and created the same relations through linked records on both tables. It works perfectly on the COSTS table. For a reason I cannot understand and after several attempts it simply does not work on the BOOKINGS/TABLE . Neither the information about the record numb

As the title states, I need to know how to make comments made on an image viewable in a shared view. I don’t need the ability for people to comment, I just need the comments that I made visible to them! Seems silly that I can share all the other information on an airtable, but I can’t easily share comments that break down what an image shows to more clearly convey the information being shared...

I wanted to find out from the Airtable Community - is anyone using Airtable to send *Scheduled* emails? If so, then I’d like to know how you do it, and how timely the emails are. Over the last couple of years, I remember hearing on these forums that Airtable doesn’t update very regularly… and that if I say send it at 5:00pm Airtable might send it at 4:45pm or 5:15pm, or even a day late. Is that still the case, or can I send scheduled emails that are sent at the correct time yet?  To be clear, for my use case, it doesn’t have to be exactly on the minute for me. I am at a nonprofit that’s just trying to simplify our systems to have a lower technical learning curve. It’s up to 150 emails a week for appointments. I want to simplify these workflows so I don’t have to use Make or Zapier to send *Scheduled* emails.  I would be glad to use Airtable AI (Omni or Field Agents) to do this as well, but first I wanted to check with the community to see about Scheduling specifically. TIA! ML
