I currently have a system created to track gear that comes to my warehouse and then leaves.I have different ways in where this gear arrives such as picked up by us, dropped off to warehouse by client, picked up by client from warehouse or returned by us. I have a field for each of those ways. most of the time when it is picked up by us it is also returned by us. I want each entry to automate being returned up by us when i choose picked up by us. Same for the other ones that are paired. What steps do I have to take to make it to where each time I make a new entry that this can be automated? I also do not want it to effect previous entries already made.    

 Originally when we created our system, we used text fields to record the Call Time and Gig Time Span. Since we have the time zones already saved for each record, I am wondering if there is an easy way to do the following: Switch the Call Time Field from a Text Field to a Time field (without having to type the time zone every time) Switch the Gig time Span Field into 2 different Time fields for both previous records and current records, a Start Time and End Time. Similarly, I do not want to type the time zone every time. Moving forward, I would like to only have to type the start start and end time for an event in separate fields (not in the text box).If this is possible, these would save a ton of time and allow us to do better, more efficient work. Is it possible to export a revision history? And if so, can a specific date range be specified?

Hello, I have a base that has the date and time in one field, I have created another field and I would like to have that field enter the YYYY from the date time field using a formula. Would anyone know what the formula would be? Thanks in Advance!

Good day.I have a “whole” staff table, with various “statuses” SOWs, Guests, and FTE.  However, a newer table was linked to the base, with “special” contractor statuses.  I need to have these “added” to the above Full Table, along with their statuses, etc.  The whole needs to be the final source as it’s used across bases.  How might I go about this?  

I have a table linked to an application form. This table has a field with a check in it.I have another table within the same workspace for people that are referred, also with a check in it.Right now, new members apply and then I have 2 records: one from the application form, another from the manual enter I did as the person got referred.I want the system to update all records when someone applies using the form, so it doesn’t create another record, but fill in all the information on the already created one. Is this possible?I can’t seem to make it work via automations.

Hi! good day!I am currently using the formula below to determine if a record/records is within last weeks Sunday to Saturday. Sunday being start of the week and Saturday being end of the week. AND(       IS_AFTER(           {Time in},           DATEADD(               DATEADD(                   TODAY(),                   -WEEKDAY(TODAY(), "Sunday") - 7,                   "days"               ),               0,               "days"           )       ),       IS_BEFORE(           {Time in},           DATEADD(               DATEADD(                   TODAY(),                   -WEEKDAY(TODAY(), "Sunday") + 0,                   "days"               ),               0,               "days"           )       )   ) If today is the 20th of June then my Current formula will tag my June 8 , 8AM record as false. If I adjust the time to 8:30AM, formula will tag it as true, would like the formula to include the entire day of sunday up to the entire day of saturday. Appreciate the help!

Hi, I have about 50 task fileds that each have a status. They can be marked as Assigned, In Progress, Complete, Question for Supervisor,  Question for Administrator. Each field is a multiple select field, because sometimes there is a question for both the supervisor and the administrator. I have a view for the supervisor and a view for the administrator that are each filtered to only show tasks that have a question for them. I have an interface that has linked table of images.I need the user to be able to rearrange these records by hand (drag and drop) so they print nicely and the right order. This works if I do it in a view. However the user should only be in the interface. I seem to be able to find anyway to rearrange these in an interface using either a gallery or cards. Is it me who a missing a check box to allow this?

 Hello I struggle to configure an action button in the Record Detail view: I wish to update a check box field to ‘NO’ and then to ‘YES’  such that to trigger an automation, but that does not work. It is weird that if I configure both Updates to ‘YES’, the Button takes the ‘After.. ‘ appearance as default. What am I missing?Thanks   2 Updates Button  This is what I wish to doWeird behaviour (??)  

I’m trying to use the record review interface in one of my interfaces, but instead of loading the record details, it just shows a persistent loading spinner and nothing ever appears. I’ve tried refreshing and checking permissions. Has anyone encountered this before or found a fix?

Hello! I’m trying to make a templated onboarding document that we can easily update with information fed from Airtable. Here’s the direct use case (Integrations are generally off the table in a corporate security setting): Hire Roster (lives in Airtable, holds new hire data) Microsoft Word/GDoc/OneNote (whatever!) that is complete with specific fields waiting to be fed new hire data, will serve as new hires’ onboarding document. Is there a way to automate the process of filling out a document without manually doing it?

I have an excel file that we currently filter by 3 to 4 fields to come up with a price for an item for vehicles. We filter by Year, Make, Model, and then for certain products, we also end up filtering by other parametes, but I’ll use size as an example. I am trying to create a form where instead of having to exit and go to the excel sheet, a person could potentially do the following: Select year → this should provide the filter for the next question and only return Brands for those years When they select a make, it should filter the next question to only show models for the selected brand. When they select model, if there are 2 models, it should bring up the size field for the next question, if there is only one model, it should bring up the ID for that specific model in the next question. I have a question regarding the page designer extension. How to make the data fields automatically adapt to the amount of data to display and for the extension to create as many pages as necessary? I am setting up a contract. This contract contains a “travellers” paragraph. Under each traveler, page designer displays the information concerning him (package chosen, date of departure, date of return, details of flights, details of accommodation, etc.). The number of travelers naturally varies from one contract to another. There are contracts with 1 single traveler and others with 40 travellers. On page designer the reserved field does not adapt to the amount of data. In addition, we only have the right to 1 single page!! How to solve this problem? Thanks

Heya everyone!So I noticed that on the Airtable update API endpoint they note about upserts:Airtable reserves the right to throttle upsert requests differently from the standard rate limit throttling policy.Intuitively, I’d assume that differently means that they’re more strict about it as they’d be doing comparisons on their end.Does anyone know whether upsert is throttled more aggressively than plain updates? I’d assume so but I thought I’d get it cleared up.Thanks!

I have a base that is largely used for planning.I have a lot of automations. Often one action sets off a chain of 4-5 automations.Because I use this base for planning, records get deleted often as part of my workflow (i.e. I change my mind).An unfortunate, unexpected irritation with this is that reasonably often, an action will set off an automation > I delete the record before the automation is finished (these are usually simple automations "if Record A Field A = x, update Record B field A" - most are not long and convoluted).And so, I have a significant and frequent number of "failed automation: record not found" emails and notifications.Is there any way to prevent this happening?

Hello, I’m new to Airtable, (trying to help a friend build an efficient solution) and I’m looking for some advice. We have a form with a rather large multi-select field. Users must enter their name, date and select any number of options from the multiselect field. The information comes into the table in the way you would expect: But in order for it to work with my friend’s processes (and existing tables) they need a way to break the record up (ideally on form submission) into multiple records: I found a way to do it with automations. I created an automation for each Option to check to see if that option has been selected, and then create a new record. Unfortunately, this is time consuming and will not scale well. Can you recommend how to build an automation script (or other solution) that can automatically parse the multi-select field into multiple records, one for each selection? Thank you,

Howdy good people!Hoping someone can advise with a product code lookup scenario. Our team sells training subscriptions. New subscribers submit airtable forms to notify of catalog onboarding. Each subscription is tied to a certain product (9 product types currently). Product name auto-populates in a multi-select 'Product' field upon form submission in an 'Offline Subs' table. Each product has a set unique code stored in another table (Product Codes). We need to auto lookup and match the product name with corresponding product code and auto populate this in a 'product code' field in the 'Offline Subs' table (see attached). Playing around with lookup fields and can't see an automation option, imagining that this will require a script to achieve?I don't have any coding/scripting experience so hoping someone can share a similar successful script or use case experience. Any assistance greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hi everyone! Our library uses an Airtable base for approving programs, some of which are one-time and others are repeating. We’re running into a problem where we’re sometimes overbooking on a single day (this is across multiple branches, so we have the room, but we try not to host too many programs on one day) and we’d really like to see all our programs on a calendar view. The problem is with the recurring programs. Right now, the base is set up with a text field where programmers put in their dates (e.g. “every third Wednesday from 11-12”) but obviously Airtable can’t read that. We could set up individual date fields for each occurrence, but some of these programs are staples, held dozens of times a year and would necessitate dozens of date fields. As a work around, I tried making a separate “Calendar” table with the dates as primary fields, and then in the main table, the date field became a linked record field. In Calendar, I created a calendar view and that technically works, but
