I have a date, some weeks, and some holidays. I need to add the weeks to my date and exclude all holidays and weekends. I’ve used the WORKDAY function. However, I’m a little uncertain how to treat my weeks. Should I multiply them by 5 (since there are 5 working days in a week) or by 7 (since there are 7 days in a week, and the function will filter out all the weekends)?    

Following the advice to have all info on one table and use views, I have successfully created a one table base for my law library. For views separating case law and articles, for example, is easy. I have a field in which I enter a letter according to the subject. eg for cases, enter C, for articles enter A. For a different project, I should also like to have a one table base, but am unable to work out how best to add records where each primary field record (the record in the primary field) and its different fields have numerous records in the same field. For example: Existing Setup: 2 tables. Table 1 and Table 2 In each table I have 3 fields including the primary field. In Table 1, this primary field is renamed Property Next field is Y, the next field is Z. In Table 2, the primary field is Date. Next field is Location, next field is Notes. I have an Invoice table. My automation setup is, when a record gets created, I run a script which calls an api (that api updates an Attachment field in the Invoice table) and then at last there is a Send Email action.For some reason, the send email action does not send any attachments. Although I could see the files are added successfully by the api. Here I add attachment field from the trigger response.I think, Send Email step is referring to the older values,  present during the start of the automation. Now what works is, if I add an Update Record step in between Run Script and Send Email, and update some random field and then in Send Email refer the attachment field from Update Record action.Just wanted to know if this is the expected behavior or not

I am trying to create a list of members who have not made a booking yet.  I have two table; Members and Bookings.  The relationship is one to many i.e. the Bookings table can have many records from one member.  I want to create a view or table which shows me which members don’t have a booking.  We can then contact them and find out why they have signed up and not used the service.

I am trying to use a shared form to get our client’s current Mailing Address for stipend scholarship checks. They can get multiple checks over time so we want present their last Mailing Address and have them accept it with no changes or override with a new address.. My approach was to create a shared form where I can prefill the previous Mailing Address. It would be blank the first time or would show the last value if they had one stored where they can override it or just hit submit to accept what defaulted in the form.Because it is a shared form, anything submitted would be a new record. I was going to date stamp the new one and use it to update the master record. The issue I am having is I cannot prefill the Client ID (the key) into the form as read only (or at all) even when the prefilled link came from a record that had the key, the new record only has the data they submitted. Hello,I'm able to retrieve AIRTABLE data from a first table as well as fields from a table linked to the first one, but the level below doesn't seem to work.As indicated in the documentation and the explanatory video on DOCUMINT, as for the first linked table, I create an Fx field named “Lien_Table3 Table_Id” with the value “TableID”.On DOCUMINT, I indicate the Repeat / Loop on each “Lien_Table3” record.On the PDF generation link, I indicate “...expand=2...”.But no display of the desired field.What could be wrong?Is there a level limitation with the free version of Documint?Thanks for your help!Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

I have noticed that the PDFs I have created with Page Designer (by clicking the little printer icon) do not contain selectable text. It seems to be a giant image. Not how a PDF is supposed to work. This is especially relevant when you include a URL field and want this to be clickable. Strangely enough some of my URL fields are clickable in the little preview pane in Airtable. But only some of them. Of course when I print and save them as PDFs none of them are clickable, because it is not text. There is an answer to a previous question that suggests using Long Text fields to avoid that problem but that does not work for me (and how should it, since my output is not text?): Some links not clickable in output PDFs from page designer - #6 by ScottWorld

Before maybe a month ago, when I clicked to add new fields, I can just type the name and then select the type. Now I have to select the field type first and then enter a name. My brain is wired the other way. Is there anyway to go back to the old way?

I have a table where there are potentially multiple images available:Two columns linking to other records, then One Lookup column for each of those to look up the image attachment, and then finally, One more column where I paste a screenshot, used for cases where neither of the other links are present.So there are potentially 3 columns which could contain an image attachment. If I were to try to build a sensible gallery or an app, I’d only want one image for many of the views, so I’d like to make a Best Image column.The rules are more or less:Does Source 1 exist? If so, use Source 1 If not, does Source 2 exist? If so, use Source 2 If not, use Screenshot  If I try to do this using a Formula column, I end up with what looks like a URL to the image on dl.airtable.com, instead of it displaying the image. The docs do say that attachments can’t be returned from formulae. The thing it does return may be usable for a webapp still; I haven’t yet tried. At the very least, it isn’t viewable

Hello All, I have some fields in my database that are mandatory at different stage. I want to do a form with the first fields for the first time, and then send another form prefill and update the record. I do not see how to update. Is there a way to do it ? thanks

I use a lot of linked records.Occasionally I have an issue where a [Record from table A] is deleted (by a user or automation with script) which triggers the deletion of a [Record from table B] it is linked to (by a user or an automation). Because changes to from [Record from table A] look up fields in Table B trigger other automations, these automations start running before Record from table B is deleted. However Record from Table B has finished deleting before the other automations have finished. This isn’t really a major issue, but it is an alert in airtable and my emails that I need to check to make sure something else isn’t going wrong.  Is there a clever way I can simply check if the record still exists as a conditional action in running the automation? I realise this could be resolved by redesigning other automations, but that will require redesigning several dozen.

I am new to Airtable so forgive me if this is an easy answer. I have searched the forum and can not find the solution. I want to sum a field with several records {days worked}, by group {name}. I have accomplished this by grouping by {name} and the result shows in the group bar. I want to use the results of this in another formula calculation, in a different table. This automation is designed to automatically update two fields of a newly created record submitted via form. Neither of the fields being updated by the automation is "Formula Name", which is the field that appears to be causing the failure. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

 I am looking for the best way to set up an Airtable to keep track of a lot of book publishing details with minimal repetitive data entry and as human proof as possible. I’m on the free plan.  The situation:I have several book series (Power of Five, Dragons, Talonswood, Trident, Draken). Each book series has multiple books. Each book can be published in multiple formats (ebook, paperback, hardback, discrete paperback, discrete hardback). Each book is being translated into multiple languages (English, German, French, Italian). After translation, each book, in each format, needs to be uploaded to several platforms (KDP, Kobo, Ingram, Tolino, D2D). Not all books get uploaded to all platforms. For example, English language books don’t get uploaded to Tolino.  I need to somehow keep track of this mess so me and my assistant know what’s been done and what hasn’t. Also would be good to keep track of an error log so we know what’s needs to be fixed.  how would you set this up??

I set up an interface for reviewing and managing customer credit limits and I can’t figure out how to set a field to display with the numbers right-aligned.It would look so much better and be more readable with the currency values right-aligned the way they should be! 

Hello. I am working on a form to list specific medications, the vendor it originates from, cost, qty, etc. I’d like to be able to input the brand names of medications into the form and have the generic names of that specific medication auto-populate in a field below the brand name on the form and in the grid view. I’ve tried creating a separate table and inputting the medication brand and generic names in a list, but I cannot figure out how to use conditional formatting (or lookup) to populate the generic name in the form. Hopefully this makes sense. I’m struggling to describe what I’m looking for. Example: Single Line Text Field: Medication Brand Name - Adrenaline Conditional Field: Medication Generic Name (to auto-populate) - Epinephrine

Airtable has come a long way from when I first started where I had to pair it with Excel to get earnings and cashflow projections for my small freelance business. I now have four extensions that give me data I used to have to calculate with Excel, but I’m missing the fifth that would let me ditch Excel completely, and this extension needs the following formula: Projected Available Next Month - Fixed Number=“Left to Earn (negative)/Rollover (positive).”I have the first part to get these numbers and then I have the method to use the answer of the equation to redistribute those numbers in AT according to whether I’m short or flush, but I cannot get that middle calculation in AT.FWIW because my income is so variable, this data lets me even out my earnings and pay myself a regular paycheque. I started doing it manually on paper, then with Excel, then I started in AT and continually improved my base as more features came available. I have automation where if number in employee table is above 6 trigger automation, If I manually select record and run automation it works as it should.. Just not sure why its not being triggered.So employee was at 7, I created another entry using interface, It moved to 8. Automation did not run.  

Does "commenting" an entry count as a modification regarding the default value "last modified date" ?Thanks !

Hi, I’m looking for a formula that will flag when a name is appearing in different columns in the same row. This is to flag scheduling conflicts. Column A, Column B, Column C, Column DParticipant X, Participant X, Participant Y, Participant Z Here is my current formula for 2 columns:IF(AND({Column A} != "", {Column A} = {Column B}),"Duplicate")It works. But when I try to add more columns, it breaks down. Can anyone help? Or is there another method altogether?
