I have an IF formula to populate a name column.  I’m putting in a substitute formula to remove extra spaces, and it appears to be accepted (no errors) but then it just vanishes.  It leaves the “Substitute” there, but not the info about removing the spaces.Here is my original formula:Here is the substitute formula showing no errors: When I hit confirm change, it reverts to this: Any help would be appreciated, I have no idea what I’m doing wrong.  (And apologies for the large screenshots, I’m unable to make them smaller for some reason).

Hi all,I have a list layout in Interface which allows users to click into records.  In the page which loads, I have a list block which shows a list of players who have played a game.  I have it set up to allow users to add new players to that list.  It works as expected on desktop, but not on the mobile Interface.  On mobile any existing players are visible, but there's no button to add a new player to the list.Is this a feature that just hasn't come out yet or am I missing something super obvious lol?  TIA!

Have automation to run when record is created, When record is created, It will set added_date, add_by(person email) and set record as active. It does 2 of 3… It doesnt add person email address. What could I be doing wrong?   

Hey all,I would like to update the access for some base collaborators who currently have full access to base & Interface to Interface-only access (these users were already shared as collaborators before it was possible to share an Interface without giving access to the base).In this case, does anyone know if I have to entirely delete these users from the base and then re-share them as Interface-only contributors (with the 'Allow access to data in the base' unchecked upon share)?Thanks in advance!

Hello appreciate the community’s help here. I am uploading a CSV file on a weekly basis (the data is from application form submissions on google form). So every week I am getting new applications in. I uploaded last week matched the fields and all was good. I even started reviewing and syncing some applications on the airtable base. I had 10 applications last week. This week I got 17 more. So I downloaded CSV file (business as usual). I went to airtable and uploaded and suddenly i realize it created 27 new records. I proceed and on the base I find 10 old records + 17 new records (out of which 10 are duplicates from the old upload). How can I prevent this from happening, appreciate your support.

We are using Airtable to organise our plant nursery. We need it to track the stock of plants in the nursery and match to orders etc. Its a bit different to normal stock tracking where we might track "current stock" by adding to stock when we get in stock and subtracting as orders go out because we have to grow the plants from seed and there are often plants dying, not being good quality etc. So we often have to go out and count the actual plants in good condition on the tables to get an accurate idea of stock count. But we also want to be able to subtract from the stock count automatically as stock is sent out. So we have a conflict between what we want to enter as our current stock levels - if we have a calculation in the current stock field - auto subtracting deliveries - we can't simply type in a number when we do a manual stock count. Any suggestions on how to resolve this ?

Hi!I’m writing a script that will create a QR code that you can scan to open a record. It works to open in the data view without issue. But I need to have it go to an Interface.If I open an interface on the desktop browser then right click on a record, then click on "copy device URL", that URL will work on the iPhone. I can paste that URL into a note and when I click it, it opens the Airtable app and goes directly to the record in the Interface. Exactly what I want.The catch is, that URL has a bunch of extra base64 encoded stuff. Hi guys,I have an Airtable base with several tables, including one for “persons” and another for "sectors".The "sectors" tables link persones to fields specific to a sector.In the interface, for a specific sector, I had created a Kanban view where the stacking field was set to the ”person” :“Person” stacking field is availableHowever, after changing the interface, I noticed that I could no longer select the "person" field as the stacking field.“Person” stacking field doesn’t appearI have tried to replicate the table from the older version but I can’t manage to make the “Person” stacking field appear again.Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue? Thank you! Marino

HI there - I’m about to pull my hair out and have been trying to figure this automation out for several hours now. I have a table called “Field Enrollment” where I am tracking “Producers” with their unique farm #, tract #, and field #. I have a concatenate formula to give me “Farm Key” which is Producer & Farm. I have a second table called “Producer Enrollment” that I want to be auto populated by the Farm Key. However, there are cases like in my example where there are duplicate Farm Keys and I only want the one. (A bit more context: In Field Enrollment we are required to track data related to the unique Farm/Tract/Field. In Producer Enrollment, we are required to track other types of data related to the TOTAL farm, so essentially a roll -up from Field Enrollment.) How do I create the unique record?!   Example Field Enrollment table: Example Producer Enrollment table:  Here’s the automation I thought would work and is saying is working (but it’s not)  

I ran into a strange problem in an automation.I am using a script to gather some data from two tables and combine it into a rich-text field. In the next step, I send out an e-mail with the content of this field. Turns out the e-mail is sent before the script has updated the text field!Even adding a 3 second delay in the script does not solve the issue.Curious if someone has a solution in place?Thank you!

Hi all,Have been scouring the web, AirTable support and various AI platforms to get an answer to this, but no joy so far. I am trying to set up automation to sync changes between Google Calendar and Airtable, including updates and deletions. AirTable support instructed me to set up triggers for new events, updated events and cancelled events. I am doing this on an empty table at the moment just to test it out. Trying to create a automation. I want to have it when a occurrence is created, it will get a count, with date, and filter by user. And if criteria is met, it will send a email? Prefer not script has i dont have team right now

I have a formula field that returns the URLs of an attachment field. If there's only one attachment, it returns one URL in parentheses. My Ask: What methods can be done to direct or redirect automation error notifications to other base users.For many of the builds, I create the automations thus all error notifications come to me when an automation fails. From what I read, if I want another user to receive them, they have to be the one that creates the automation and turns it on. I would need them to ‘duplicate’ the automation and delete the original.Most of these errors come with the interactive actions involving ‘humans’. A prime example is when a form submitter does not enter their email in correctly thus a confirmation email does not execute. These are operational details that the person I built it for can handle and address. I hate to be the go between for these errors or do something fancy with my inbox to forward them to other users.Thoughts in other methods or do the duplicate way? We are looking to get Zapier that might be a method toward a solution.

Hi,Is it possible to somehow filter users away from interface dropdowns relying on a "User" field?We currently see both admin users, Airtable support users and some user's older user names in the dropdowns, which confuses people who should choose e.g. next handler for a topic.Rgds,BjörnPS. This is probably very basic for some of you but I’m new to this … I can’t figure it out. I have an automation that sends me an email of today’s tasks every day 7am. But if there are no tasks, I still get the email, but its an error, as below. Subject: Something went wrong with an automation: Send a daily digest - Airtable Any way to NOT send email if the task list is empty? I have tried conditional actions, (but the only conditions allowed relate back to the trigger - which is time based). Thanks

When I’m adding records, and I need to add a record in a related table, I have the option to do so through the gallery view but not in the form view. I would like to have that option in the form view as well. How?

Hello, I was hoping to get some guidance on what I’m doing wrong in regards to updating the “completed by” field on a salon “shift duties” board interface. I have two tables, Table 1 and Table 2, with different fields. When a specific record is populated in Table 2, I want the values of some of its fields to automatically appear in a corresponding record in Table 1where the cells were initially empty,  based on the primary fields of both tables, I’m calculating a total in Table 1 based on entries into records in several tables and need to have the total in Table1  automatically updated whenever the values change in the other tables. What is the best way to achieve this? IOW, what is the equivalent of XLOOKUP or Index Match in Airtable? 

hi dear folks, I’m wondering, if I build the Base according to a specific project, once this project has been completed, how could I archive it? For instance, if I start from a Base on “house hunting”, after serval months, when I found the house, literally I shall not use this base anymore, it is no longer make sense to keep it on the workspace as well, and what’s the solution for the archive it in the local disk? Or do I need to archive it? Thanks for any pieces of advice.

I try to create CSV backup exports of all my bases as often as I remember. However, going through everything manually is a lot of work and leads to “not doing it” more often than not. I wish there was a way to automate this important backup process. Can this be done through an outside service maybe? Thanks in advance!

Hi,I'm approaching launch for my first Airtable application, a support/ERP/CRM system for my wife's business (two users currently planned). Is there an agreed upon best practise how to launch a production version but yet be able to continue developing the application?I have little real experience in application management, although I have managed some LAMP applications with SQL updates and diffing PHP. I thought I would keep the current base as PROD, make a back-up of it and assign that a DEV role and continue developing new stuff there. But how to migrate changes from DEV to PROD?Rgds,Björn
