I have a simple automation that checks once a day whether a list of records in table A can be linked to a synced table - table B. It first finds all the records that have no links. Then it loops through the list and tries to add a concatenation field to my linked field. If there is a record in my synced table that matches my concatenation field, then it links to that record. If not, I assumed nothing would happen, and it’ll wait until the next day to try again. However, it sends me emails every day with an error saying, “Updating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.”I assume this is because it thinks that the ones without any matching records it should create a record in my synced table, which it obviously can’t do.Is there a way around this so it does not throw an error if there is nothing to link to?Some matched, some did not, though if one does not match it, see it as an error 

I am stumped on how to solve this problem.Our team has 1 table set up that is pulling data from a synced table. We added in new columns to the right of the synced data to be able to add in subtasks and a few other pieces of tracking information.The issue we are running into is there are other ad hoc tasks that need be done that are not on synced table but we need to be able to put the synced data in the same view with the ad hoc tasks.Our only commonality is that we have a linked record for both from an overview table of projects.Is it possible to bring together a synced data table and an ad hoc table into 1 new table for the team to work from?

Hello,on calender view i want to default to 30 min records shown on calender at present it is 60 mins by default.I have been trying to create a script and automation that will fill an end date and time field automatically to 30 mins after the appointment date field has been updated and then using thsi end date and time field to set this as the end of the appointmentANyone any ideas how to do this??  

In automations triggered by a webhook, is it possible to use the same webhook/automation with different data payload structures? For example, if I’m importing data from 2 different forms with different JSON properties, can I then use conditional logic in the automation to parse the data differently? I know when you test the webhook trigger, it lists the properties, but could you bypass it to handle variations?

Hi, I have a company table and a contacts table that are linked. When i click in the linked field of the company table, and click +, i see all the records in the contacts table. I would like to limit the shown records to only those contacts that belong to the company in question. Can anyone advise how i do that plse?

Hello,we run an agency and for every client we have a different base. The base is almost identical for every client. We now have access to the business plan, and we want to use a master base to consolidate the data from every client into one base, so that we can benchmark our performance as a whole, and dive deeper into every client if we wish. We have a table called KPIs in every client base. The KPIs are always the same. For that reason I have created the same base in our master base, and I am now syncing data from master into each client base. We also have a projects table for every client, which includes 3 fields (primary metric, secondary metric, tertiary metric). These field are linked records from the KPI table. In the KPI table (for each client) we can then see how many times a KPI has been used for that client, and the overall uplift for a KPI with a client. I want the same information to be shown in the KPI table in our master base, but then for all clients. When I go to upgrade to the new Teams plan, it says I have 14 billable users (and tries to charge me for such), but 9 of our users are only commenters.The Pricing page FAQ says, "No charges will apply for read-only collaborators, commenters, or people submitting forms."When I click "14 Billable Users" (on the upgrade page), it says, "…users with viewer and commenter permissions will get free viewer seats."And yet:It says here, "You can see every billable collaborator… This includes… any base collaborator with owner, creator, editor, or commenter permissions."And here: "On self-serve paid workspace plans, any collaborator with a permission level of Commenter, Editor, Creator, or Owner is classified as billable.I know Airtable is in middle of a price structure switch; not sure if this conflict of info is due to that.

Hello!  TIA for any help!  I'm creating a base for Donor Management and have run into a challenge.  I'm building an interface for Fundraising Campaign tracking.  The main Interface is a Record View layout.  Potential donors are loaded into a table and then viewed via this Interface.  When you click on a potential donor, it loads their contact information and the tracking data below it, as you can see in this screenshot.  *I've removed the sensitive data! Because the potential donors are linked into the campaigns, all their contact information is not editable in this Interface.  I'm generally okay with that, but I'd like to include a button that would let users open a donor's page for editing, possibly using the Contacts Interface you can see in the menu bar at the top.  Is there a way to create a link that would somehow take the ID of a linked record from the current Interface and pass it to the Contacts Interface on loading?Thanks agai

Hello, Been very busy and I suspect I’m going blind with what’s probably (hopefully) a simple data flow. As a picture says a thousand words, my problem is as per below; I can self link a record to its own table with a lookup field, which in this example I consider that as “Pushes to” - So A pushes to B. But what I’m needing, is another column that tells me the reverse of that relationship, so I can see that “B” is pulling from A - and then even create a filtered view around that very “Pulls From” data. I’m keen for your thoughts on this, hoping there’s something simple that I’ve missed that will allow this workflow. But I also have access to scripts/automations too if they’re the only way out of this.

Hello, I am trying to get a field named “Statsig Url” in a table named Experiments (this is a field with the url type). (My intent is to get the record id based on the value of the Statsig Url field). Cannot get this Switch to work and its very simple.  I have a field that has the year of the record stored as a number (ie 2025).  I can easily get this to work with these arguments as a singular IF, but I dont want to nest 5 Ifs. The below will not function, doesnt even give an error, wont even let me save it. Hello! I am trying to set up a work request form, and am stuck on one part. I’m not sure whether I need to use formulas or automations, but I’ve scoured help videos and articles to no avail trying to find what I’m looking for. I would like to have a numerical Work Order ID (basically a consecutive numerical number) added to a record field as soon as the record is created. Ideally, I’d love for it to take this form (Year-####), as that’s the current system we use, but I’d settle for just a unique numerical number for each new record created. I’m sure this is simpler than I’m making it out to be, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there, hoping someone can assist me. I need a formula that will note true/false based on an attachment field.For further context, this will be used in another formula that combines various fields into a link which goes to a custom Typeform. The fields from Airtable are set as hidden fields, but at the moment I'm having issues with the logic because it can't recognise if the data is true/false since the entire file name is showing. Having this terminology would be good so I can simplify the link and the Typeform logic.I tried working with the TRUE formula but couldn't get that to work.Let me know if you need more information. I have the above time stamps. What I need to do is calculate the hours/minutes from 8AM to the Start Date 1, as well as End Date 1 to 5pm. How can I accomplish this?

I'm reaching out for your expertise. My sample table has three date fields: Joined, Separated, and Date Rejoined. It also has two formula fields: Prior # of Years from Joined date to Separated and Total Years. I need your helpto correct the formula for calculating the total years of membership.I am trying to calculate the total number of years they have been members. I can do that, but the problem is that when they join, separate, and rejoin, we don’t give them credit for the years they were gone/separated. Here is the formula I used for Total years. I’m sure my formula must be wrong for the “total years including prior years".     DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Joined},'days')/365 - {Prior # of Years from Joined date to Separated}But for members who have never separated, it gives me NaN for prior and total. I've been trying to find out what counts towards my automation run; however, either I can't find it, or I'm constantly overlooking the something.Basically I just want to have a solid grasp on what adds towards my automation limit?Is it just counted every time an automation runs?Does steps in the automation also count?Does loops count as one or multiple runs?

Hi Airtable Community, I’m attempting to send an email every time a new record is created. The message of the email should include the contents of every field that has data in that new record. Our fields are added to regularly, and I do not want to edit the automation every single time a new field is added to our table.  Is there already a known solution to this, that will automatically include all fields with data in the message of the email without pre-coding the specific field into the automation?  Thank you,Danny

My table has two checkbox columns that are set to show different symbols for True. “Actively Working” column is set to show a yellow star. “Hide” is set to show a red “x”.Both of these columns are showing a mix and match of both values (see photo). It is happening in the app on both ipad and phone. Individual records opened up show the correct value in the correct column. Anyone else having this issue? How do I resolve it?

I’m an airtable newbie. I’m building a base for planning production (live events) for the AV company I work for. One of the things I need to track is our pre show, show, and post show milestones in the planning process. The time frame is based on when we are loading in gear for the event. I need to make an automation that will take the load-in date and subtract 30 days for pre-show items, stay the same date for show items, and add 14 days for post show items. I have the pre, show, and post as a single select. Any and all help would be appreciated 

I have a list of clients that I do work for. I do the same 50 tasks for each client. Each field in my table is another task. The tasks are dropdowns with the status of the task like assigned, in progress, completed, and questions for supervisor.My supurvisor wants to create a view that shows only the questions for her. I did this by filtering the view to only show records (clients) that has the choice ‘questions for supervisor’ in field a, b, c d, etc. all the way through. This works well.However, I need to unhide all the fields because maybe that field is the one with a question. So, when a question pops up in her view, she has to scroll all the way to the right until she finds the field that has a question. This wastes a lot of time especially because there are a lot of clients and by each client there can be more then one question.I am looking for a way to only unhide a field that has ‘questions for supervisor’ for at least one record.
