I'm finally making great progress and haven't been frustrated enough to quit yet, so I think I'm going to be able to make this (along with fillout) to help support my makerspace.  I hope to eventually move from the free plan to Teams once I know I have all the major pieces in place.But once I do, and we're using it, I'm concerned that my future clugey attempts to add functionality might break operations.  Is there any concept of development, QA and production versions of a workspace?

I have two tables, Table 1 and Table 2, with different fields. When a specific record is populated in Table 2, I want the values of some of its fields to automatically appear in a corresponding record in Table 1where the cells were initially empty,  based on the primary fields of both tables, I’m calculating a total in Table 1 based on entries into records in several tables and need to have the total in Table1  automatically updated whenever the values change in the other tables. What is the best way to achieve this? IOW, what is the equivalent of XLOOKUP or Index Match in Airtable?

 Not sure what to title this.In a record detail interface page, there is the option to add a button and perform an action. (Yes, love it!) But it doesn’t seem like the option exists here to add a new record in a different base via a form—the dropdown on the right doesn’t seem to allow it. And unfortunately, “Interface Forms” for some reason still don’t count as “Interface Pages”, so I can’t click on “Go to interface page” and click on my form.The best current option seems to be “Go to external URL”, and put in the URL of the form. But that seems to only open my desired form inconsistently:open external URL in same tab = overwriting my current page, and there’s no way to complete that form, then hit a “back” button to get back to my record detail open external form URL in new tab = often it just doesn’t open.My ideal would be to click on the button, open another modal with the form, which I could complete, then close, and still have the record detail at-the-ready.Does that make sense? Hey All,I am trying to add a button to an interface which will simply duplicate the existing record the interface is looking at.  The Interface is a quote builder and we often want to make different iterations of a quote for a customer.  I know we can simply go to the grid view, find the record, right click and duplicate the record, but I am trying to not give my sales team access to that level of data.  You know how sales teams are.  😉 I imagine a script of some sort would work, but I'm more of a no-code guy, so I'm looking for some help.  Thank you for your time.

I am new to Airtable and created my first form a few days ago using the new Form Builder interface. After the fact, I realized there was a field I hadn't included that I'd like to prefill. I read through all the various instructions on prefilling by altering the URL - all makes sense to me - but I can't figure or WHERE to do the URL edit in the Form Builder interface? I can copy the form URL to the clipboard, but WHERE to I put it where the alteration to the URL will be pulished and saved?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

NPO TEAM ACCOUNT (just to let folks know)So I love having master sync tables and create views off them for different usages in a base.For example: I have a common base for State and Country, absolutely love this, and use it across a lot of our bases for different purposes.In our CRM we use it for Contact, Company, Communities, Speaker/Facilitator Bureau, Charity Compliance, and Grants tables.  There are some privacy requirements, and access controls that we have in place.I have set a VIEW -  States, just for lookup that does not show ANY other fields except the STATES field.So why if the view doesn’t show any of the other fields (where it is being used in the other tables) why does the individual record show. And then when I open it up - I see all the other areas I really don’t want some of my team messing with.Have I missed how to not show the other tables?Yes, I know I could make an interface but some of us like to work in a different manner, and bulky block interfaces are not our th

My Make.com module is returning "Status Code Error: 403" and I can't connect up my Airtable. I initially had it working and then created some new bases, so I generated a new Personal Access Token. Not working. Have tried different permissions. Logging out, logging in (I know). Etc.  Any suggestions?

I’m exporting data to a pdf via Typeflow. One of the fields is a Link to multiple records, which happen to be street addresses.  When I export the data to a pdf, the default view is to separate each linked record by a comma.  I’m trying to create a line break instead of a comma.   I created a formula field with SUBSTITUTE(Addresses,”,”,”\n), however the street addresses contain commas, so this didn’t work. Any ideas for another work around?   Huge thanks in advance.  Current format:Record 1, Record 2, Record 3 Desired format:Record 1Record 2Record 3etc

Oh hello there! I am working with a team that is developing a base to capture competitor profiles. Within the base we have an organizational overview tab, contacts tab, program information tab, and a SWOT Analysis tab where we'd like to fill out the data on the competitors' strengths (from a drop down), weaknesses (from a drop down), opportunities (from a drop down), and threats (from a drop down) (among a few other things unnecessary to mention). What I'd like to do is have a matrix template that will pull in those selected drop down items and look something like the below for each organization/competitor. Would the matrix or page design extension be best for this? Might there be a better tool? I have some serious beef with the page design view and how limited it is - or perhaps in my case, just not intuitive enough to be impactful. Any ideas would be incredibly welcome. Thank you!

I have two table A and B, table A has product status variable that tracks the different phases of product and helps with different views to see specific inventory. Table A is also linked to table B, I would like to be find a way to edit table A’s status field from B once I am done processing it instead of manually going to A to change it. so far I couldn’t find a way to change. any advise is highly appreciate. 

Hi all, I have a base that date and timestamps new records. But since I had to import thousands of records from an old spreadsheet, it doesn’t correctly reflect the original date/time in the CREATED TIME field. So I created a field called DATE + TIME - MANUAL that is a date field that has the original submitted dates for the old records. All future records will get a submitted date/time in the DATE + TIME - AUTOMATIC field. In a third field called DATE + TIME SUBMITTED, I need to use a formula to say that, for a new record, if the DATE + TIME SUBMITTED - MANUAL field is blank, to use the data in the DATE + TIME SUBMITTED - AUTOMATIC field, but using this formula doesn’t bring in the data from the automatic field if the manual field is blank:IF(NOT(BLANK({Date + Time Submitted - Manual})),      {Date + Time Submitted - Manual},      {Date + Time Submitted - Automatic})Am I doing something incorrectly? Or is there a better way to achieve this? In the end, I just need to have a date field

I have an existing table with 800+ records (imported from a CSV). Now, I’d like to add an image for each record (import from a folder of PNGs–with matching file names). Is there a way to do this in bulk? Example Records: Name, Type1, Type2, Image Abomasnow, Grass, Ice, [to add: abomasnow.png] Aerodactyl, Rock, Flying, [to add: aerodactyl.png] Aggron, Steel, Rock, [to add: aggron.png] etc.

In my Contacts table I have 2 types (single-select) - “non-profit” and “legal” - and a linked record field to a Requests table. The Request record has two Lookup fields pointing to Contacts - one a lookup filtered by a view of nonprofit-type only, the other filtered by a view of legal-type only.  This is so my user can quickly distinguish the two types assigned to the request.Now, I add 1 contact to each of the two fields in the Request. I would expect to see both Contacts linked to that Request. But the only Contacts shown as linked to that request are those entered in the first (“nonprofit”) column. If I force a “legal” contact into that first Request column, It shows up as expected on the Contact side.I’m not understanding something about how linked records work. How should I structure the linkages between these fields across the two tables?  thx 

Hello, I am trying to use a lookup field from another sheet.  It seems that I can only search by the primary field, not by the field I have selected as the source.  For example:Sheet 1 - Primary field: Job #Job #: 1234Job Name: Sheet 2Lookup field in sheet 1 - Job Name: (I can search for Job # (1234), but not by job name. Is there a way to fix this or work around?

I have it set so that users can change the sort order in a grid view interface, but how can I set the default sort order that is displayed when the view is accessed?  The interface is embedded into a website for public viewing, and I can’t figure out how to set the default order to be a logical one for most viewers.  Suggestions?

Hello!I am running into an issue where the field count is almost maxed out on two tables in my base and I need the ability to add more fields. In both of the tables, there are many fields that are used for reporting/stats. I considered moving all of those fields to another table but it’s not quite working out.I do closing coordination for real estate agents. The two tables in question are the Properties table and Contacts table.The Properties table has records for each contract. The Contacts table has records for each of my agents. Each property record is linked to the agent for that contract in the Contacts table. Reporting in the Properties table is done based on the agent for things like properties under contract, properties closed X amount of days ago, etc. Reporting in the Contacts table is done based on the agent using rollup/formula fields that reference the Properties table for things like average sales price over X periods, commission totals over X periods, etc.In the new tabl

Hi there - I am building some interfaces for my team that collects data in one table that is linked back to another table and I’d like the team to be able to update both in 1 page. Here’s a hypothetical scenario: I have a table of Owners who are all in my dog training class. The Owner table lists all of the things about the owner. I also have a table that has a list of every Dog in my class with information about them. Many Owners have multiple Dogs and I want to associate the Dogs to the Owner. My real-world example is a lot more complicated with hundreds of records. I want to keep my team from bouncing around multiple tables and manually linking records so am hoping to be able to design an interface page that allows them to add new data to another, linked table. I have a script running right now that essentially asks “enter # of dogs” then “create that many blank records in the Dog table” and then “Link those blank records to the Owner Table.” I feel like there’s an easier way… A but

I've set up a very basic automation: Trigger=when a form is submitted; Action=Google Sheets: Append a new row to a spreadsheet. The automation is working correctly, EXCEPT for the fact that the new row is appended at the TOP of the spreadsheet (i.e., row 1, above the header row) instead of at the bottom of the spreadsheet (i.e., under existing rows of data). Is there a way to specify that new rows should be appended at the bottom, below existing rows?Thanks! Heidi

Hello, I am working with inventory management database. I have two different tables where both have unique UPCs and a status selection. I am creating a third table that will only display products from both tables that are ready for sale i.e status is “Listed”. I have created an automation that checks when status is changed to “listed” then find if that UPC doesn’t exist in product table then create a new field with that UPC. I run into duplicate entry problem. *** when I change a product to listed it will pop up in products list which is what I want but when I change the status to something else and then change it back to “listed” it will create a duplicate field which is not what I expect.***  No matter who much I played around with different conditions and values in find section of automation I still couldn’t figure it out.

Hey guys, I have been seeing this “field color” option on list and grid elements in interfaces. Was wondering if anyone knows how it works? The pop out asks for field configurations, but I have yet to have a field that matches whatever configuration it’s looking for. Is this something up coming or am I just using it wrong? Hi -  I’m building a project and resource management AirTable for an agency. As a part of this I’d like to be able to show scoped hours against actual worked hours per person per project. As an agency that frequently has a variety of different people working on a variety of projects there has to be some flexibility built into this.  Setting up a scoped hour table per project is simple. Having actual hours that the team enter in rollup  filter by project is easy. Having actual hours filter by person is easy. The issue is filtering by both teammate and project.  Thank you for any help!  

Hello,I want to calculate the length between a start and an end date. Seems easy, but the result is wrong for the fields that came from a lookup field.Below a screenshot from my base and my calculations.Here an explanation:Start Date = automatically set as record is created, formatted as “European” End Date = calculation, depending on how my record ended. This calculation is correct, so nothing wrong here.
