Hello, I am working with inventory management database. I have two different tables where both have unique UPCs and a status selection. I am creating a third table that will only display products from both tables that are ready for sale i.e status is “Listed”. I have created an automation that checks when status is changed to “listed” then find if that UPC doesn’t exist in product table then create a new field with that UPC. I run into duplicate entry problem. *** when I change a product to listed it will pop up in products list which is what I want but when I change the status to something else and then change it back to “listed” it will create a duplicate field which is not what I expect.***  No matter who much I played around with different conditions and values in find section of automation I still couldn’t figure it out.

Hey guys, I have been seeing this “field color” option on list and grid elements in interfaces. Was wondering if anyone knows how it works? The pop out asks for field configurations, but I have yet to have a field that matches whatever configuration it’s looking for. Is this something up coming or am I just using it wrong? Hi -  I’m building a project and resource management AirTable for an agency. As a part of this I’d like to be able to show scoped hours against actual worked hours per person per project. As an agency that frequently has a variety of different people working on a variety of projects there has to be some flexibility built into this.  Setting up a scoped hour table per project is simple. Having actual hours that the team enter in rollup  filter by project is easy. Having actual hours filter by person is easy. The issue is filtering by both teammate and project.  Thank you for any help!  

Hello,I want to calculate the length between a start and an end date. Seems easy, but the result is wrong for the fields that came from a lookup field.Below a screenshot from my base and my calculations.Here an explanation:Start Date = automatically set as record is created, formatted as “European” End Date = calculation, depending on how my record ended. This calculation is correct, so nothing wrong here. Hey, I wonder how can I see or extract the database diagram of my base that I built here in Airtable. I there an easy way to do that? (the alternative hard way is to edit something in an external tool like https://dbdiagram.io/d) Regards.

My table includes three date fields: Joined, Separated, and Date Rejoined, along with two formula fields: Prior Years and Total Years of Service.I’ve now added two additional fields: Date Separated 2 and Prior Years 2, to account for members who have separated and rejoined more than once. Some members join, then separate, later rejoin, and eventually separate again. I need to accurately track their total time as active members, excluding any periods when they were separated.The original formula for Total Years of Service worked well—until I had to include a second separation date.Here is the formula that worked originally but now I need to take into account the second separated date.If anyone can rewrite this for me, I would be grateful. For some reason, ALL of my automations across ALL of my bases are stalling on the Scripting Block step and I don’t know why… I’m pretty sure this is an Airtable outage issue, but I’m curious if others are also seeing the same thing.  I’ve tried contacting Airtable support and it seems to go nowhere… super frustrated...

I am currently on the Team Plan. The first day I created my webhook trigger automations they worked fine. Now they will only work and create a new record if I manually click on “Run Test”. Automation is turned on and webhook is triggering. Am I missing a setting?

Hola a todos, estoy creando formularios de ingreso de datos sin embargo me encuentro con el problema de que las celdas multivariables y los links records no son capaces de por ejemplo asociar 5 profesores a 5 roles y 5 asignaturas.Estoy intentando hacerlo a través de scripts y automatizaciones sin embargo no he podido lograrlo, alguién tiene alguna sugerencia de como abarcar este problema? La idea es ahorrarle tiempo al digitador de datos, y para esto lo mas optimo que he encontrado es generar un formulario que contenga toda la información correspondiente y con automatizaciones completar las demás tablas, pero cuando hay que agregar varios registros al mismo tiempo y estos deben asociarse a otras variables no he podido lograrlo. Por otro lado tampoco quiero generar 100 columnas en caso de tener que inscribir a 100 personas. Saludos,  

Hi - I have a project management and resource tracker AirTable built. I’d like to be able to look at how many hours someone worked in a previous week. Currently I have a rollup from “time entries” to “team” filtered by a formula within time entries that calculates if a time entry was within the last 7 days. But, leadership would like to review this information on (mostly) Thursdays for the previous calendar week. I’m not able to simply adjust the number of days as leadership may look at this information on a Wednesday or Friday.  Is there a way to calculate this information?  Thanks!

Hi there, I am trying to output text that is taking the text from the lookup field "Name" and taking it away from a field called "Conversations" Currently, I am trying to do this in a formula but for some reason it keeps saying #ERROR!

I was under the impression that when you searched the list it would search every visible column? However when I search for fx “1073” it says there is nothing despite it being in my list?Is this a bug, or is it me who is getting it the wrong way? Search says there is no recordsRecords are there

Hello!Our organisation has basically a large ‘to-do’ list table which includes a ‘Tag’ multi-select field which I’ve just found out our Editor users can’t add new options to – either directly in the table, or through an interface list/record view.We are on a Team/Pro plan so I can edit the field permissions, which I’ve set to Editors and up and it still doesn’t work.As I am the Owner, I assumed anyone could add new options to this field because I always thought the common issue was trying to stop users from doing that! I really am racking my brain because it feels so simple but I can’t test it without sitting next to an Editor, and also wild that I can’t find others in the community with a similar issue.

I am an admin of my company. My company works primarily within interfaces, but I would like to invite one of my colleagues to access the base data itself. How do I do this?

I have a simple automation that checks once a day whether a list of records in table A can be linked to a synced table - table B. It first finds all the records that have no links. Then it loops through the list and tries to add a concatenation field to my linked field. If there is a record in my synced table that matches my concatenation field, then it links to that record. If not, I assumed nothing would happen, and it’ll wait until the next day to try again. However, it sends me emails every day with an error saying, “Updating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.”I assume this is because it thinks that the ones without any matching records it should create a record in my synced table, which it obviously can’t do.Is there a way around this so it does not throw an error if there is nothing to link to?Some matched, some did not, though if one does not match it, see it as an error 

I am stumped on how to solve this problem.Our team has 1 table set up that is pulling data from a synced table. We added in new columns to the right of the synced data to be able to add in subtasks and a few other pieces of tracking information.The issue we are running into is there are other ad hoc tasks that need be done that are not on synced table but we need to be able to put the synced data in the same view with the ad hoc tasks.Our only commonality is that we have a linked record for both from an overview table of projects.Is it possible to bring together a synced data table and an ad hoc table into 1 new table for the team to work from?

Hello,on calender view i want to default to 30 min records shown on calender at present it is 60 mins by default.I have been trying to create a script and automation that will fill an end date and time field automatically to 30 mins after the appointment date field has been updated and then using thsi end date and time field to set this as the end of the appointmentANyone any ideas how to do this??  

In automations triggered by a webhook, is it possible to use the same webhook/automation with different data payload structures? For example, if I’m importing data from 2 different forms with different JSON properties, can I then use conditional logic in the automation to parse the data differently? I know when you test the webhook trigger, it lists the properties, but could you bypass it to handle variations?

Hi, I have a company table and a contacts table that are linked. When i click in the linked field of the company table, and click +, i see all the records in the contacts table. I would like to limit the shown records to only those contacts that belong to the company in question. Can anyone advise how i do that plse?

Hello,we run an agency and for every client we have a different base. The base is almost identical for every client. We now have access to the business plan, and we want to use a master base to consolidate the data from every client into one base, so that we can benchmark our performance as a whole, and dive deeper into every client if we wish. We have a table called KPIs in every client base. The KPIs are always the same. For that reason I have created the same base in our master base, and I am now syncing data from master into each client base. We also have a projects table for every client, which includes 3 fields (primary metric, secondary metric, tertiary metric). These field are linked records from the KPI table. In the KPI table (for each client) we can then see how many times a KPI has been used for that client, and the overall uplift for a KPI with a client. I want the same information to be shown in the KPI table in our master base, but then for all clients.
