Hello everyone, I have the following problem: I have an Airtable automation that informs the assignee of a project when some fields change. Now we often have the case that there is no assignee yet but someone edits one of these fields. Then the automation fails and I receive a notification by email every time that the automation has failed. Can I change this somehow?Unfortunately, triggers cannot be cobined, for example: If field A changes and assignee is not empty. best regardsMirko

hi everyone!I am using automations to send a message on slack when certain conditions are met. In the body of the message, I want to show the conditions that were used to create the listed results... but cannot figure this out.I have a "Find Records" block setup, with the condition to find 5 records that match a certain multiselect field (in my screenshot, "O Positive").  This works fine.When I go to configure the message block,  I can add different dynamic data by clicking the +, however, there is no way to select the condition. I want it to say "O Positive" in my message body (chosen dynamically from the Find Records block), but I only see the option to list the results here, which puts this in my message 5x, since it's showing this field for each of my 5 records. Instead, I want to simply show the condition I selected in the Find Records block 1x... so the message lets us know the conditions that created the resulting message.Is there any way to select the condit

Hi there! I am trying to remove NaN values from a formula field where both positive and negative values exist. This is in an effort to clean up two extensions: One chart indicating the number of each value's occurrence and one number where I am trying to get the average of the values, but with NaNs included I receive an infinity. Here is my current formula:DATETIME_DIFF({Due Date},{Date Completed},'days')+IF({Date Completed},{Due Date} = "NaN", BLANK())Thank you in advance!

Hi,I'm trying to create a table to track income and the records feed from different tables using automations which are assigned a deal type as they're created. If they're type A the commission is 15% of the payment amount, if they're type B the commission is 10% of the payment amount and if they're type C then the commission field needs to return 0. I don't know if it makes a difference, but the payment amount field is a formula. I've tried SWITCH({Type of deal},"A", {Payment amount} * 0.15,"B", {Payment amount} * 0.10,"C", 0) But I just keep getting ERROR in the results. I tried looking here at nested IF formula and came up with:  IF(AND({type of deal} = ”A”, {Payment amount} *0.15,))IF(AND({type of deal} = “B”, {Payment amount} *0.10,))IF(AND({type of deal} = “C”, {Payment amount} *0))But there's clearly something bigger wrong there that I can't see because it says it's not a valid formula. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated, thank you

I have set up a slack message to kick off a workflow that requires manual input.  The slack message has multiple buttons that once clicked check the appropriate field in the Airtable.  The problem is that once one of those buttons are clicked, all of them disappear in the slack message.   How do I make it so that once one button is clicked the "Updated in Airtable" message only shows for that button; allowing for the other buttons to be clicked?

Hi There, I know I should already know this but I always get nervous when dates are involved. I want to be able to highlight either a field or a row when a task in the row passes the deadline. I don't need to know any other information like how many days over it is, I just want it to be highlighted to bring attention to it. I have a [Date Due] column and a [Status] column. The idea is that the status column would be set to "On Time" or "Overdue" to allow filteringCan anyone tell me what formula I can use to trigger the change in the status column?Thank you for your time. S

Hey there,Thank you for your time helping me !So i'm a mushroom farmer. I cultivate different batchs simultaneously. Each time I harvest one, I create a record for it, with the date of harvest, the batch harvested and the weight harvested. There is a tab dedicated to it.I also have another tab which contains more infos about each batch, and also a sum rollup of the harvests of each batch.My main metric to know if a batch is good is the yield, I compare the total weight of the batch to the amount harvested. For example, I harvested 10 times a batch, the total is 300kg of fresh mushrooms on a batch of 1000kg of mushroom substrate, hence 30% yield.But I'd like more complex infos, for instance I'd like to know on which specific date of harvest I crossed the 10% yield mark, the 20% ... So i could know for each batch after how many days I crossed the 10%/20% markI've tried some combos of rollup and formulas but nothing works so much, any ideas ? 

I'm new to Airtable formulas, so I would appreciate your input.I created a formula that I absolutely KNOW was working. But suddenly the field where the calculation was says #ERROR! now although it said 100% before. I can't figure out what has changed because I didn't change the fields used in the formula.I would appreciate your help.The field name is Sold v Booked %The formula is:IF({# of Winners Booked},IF({Number of Winners/GCs Sold},{# of Winners Booked}/{Number of Winners/GCs Sold})) The # of Winners Booked field is a Lookup field from another table. The Number of Winners/GCs Sold field is a Number field. I wasn't sure if the above formula would work because the # of Winners Booked field had 1, 1 in it as it's looking up multiple records.  So I was thrilled when the Sold v Booked % field showed "100%" which was correct since it was 2 that sold and 2 that booked..&

Hi everyone!Im using automations to send updates of records (a list of 5 at a time) to a slack channel... I have the data I want to showing up correctly, but I'm wondering if there is any way to customize the style/spacing of the output of the "List of Records" in the message block?For example, I want field names to be bolded, to have the field and data on the same line (instead of next line), and make a different separator than "-----------------------".The "List of Records" content option in the Messages block has no options to customize that I can see (screenshot)... Maybe there is another solution though?  Wanted to ask!!

I have been playing around with @Justin_Barrett’s excellent script “Parent Child tree hierarchy” (Parent Child tree hierarchy). The output of this is a text field with any separator you like, for example: World > UK > London > Hammersmith > Elspeth Avenue > Joe’s Cafe World > France > Paris > La Defence > BNP Paribas World > USA > New York > Manhattan > Central Park Question - is there any way to extract the #3 item (or the #2 or #4 for that matter) from these text strings? In this case, to pick out “London”, “Paris” or “New York”. I assume this should involve counting 2 instances of the separator (“>”), and then selecting the text from there up to the next separator.

Is it possible to create a publicly accessible Interface whereby access to a given record is based on a unique string that is entered in by the end user? I have records (of students) and want an individual’s information accessible only be entering a unique string. Ideally, I wanted a field where you enter in a string and then gives access to one record along - can this be built out within airtable? Thank you all!

I have a default value of "not started" set for a single select "task status" field (see screenshot of field settings). In an interface, I'm using a button to create a new record from a Timeline view. The view has filters applied, which include filtering [records without "Completed" in that status field] OR [records with "Completed" in the status field AND Completed Dates within the past 7 days.] (see screenshot of filter settings)The new record form attached to the button also has "not started" selected as the default option for the task status field. (see screenshot of form settings)The problem is that when I click the button, the form defaults the task status to "completed" rather than "not started". Every time I send my request, I receive the following error message:“Column names must be non-empty strings.”I’ve carefully checked my CSV file, and everything seems fine. The column headers are properly defined, and there are no empty values. What’s more confusing is that when I manually import the same CSV file into Airtable through the UI, it works perfectly without any errors.I have double-checked that:• The CSV file is correctly formatted.• Column headers are valid and properly named.• There are no empty column names.• The same file works fine when imported manually via the UI.Has anyone else faced this issue with the Sync API? I'm having a really hard time with making a formula field only calculate a value if the input field is not empty, including if it's 0. For some reason Airtable seems to treat 0 and empty value that same.Here is my current formula: IF({Monthly Actual} = BLANK(),BLANK(),{Monthly Actual} - {Monthly Goal})In the attached screenshot, I want the fields with monthly actual = 0 to have a difference calculated, and I want the empty monthly actual to not have a difference calculated. The latter works, but the former doesn't. I've tried ChatGPT, Perplexity...etc. all types of AI and can't figure it out!

The Template M Query provided by Airtable at this link which integrates Airtable with Power BI, does not allow scheduling refreshes in Power BI:Instead of allowing you to schedule the refresh, Power BI shows this message warning that the "dataset includes a dynamic data source."Previously, the other Template M Query, with the past API_KEY, allowed to schedule refreshes. Therefore, I think there has to be a way to ensure scheduling with the recent personal_access_token.Has anyone had this problem as well? If so, does anyone know how to change the template to make it work?

I want to check if my search terms ('A', 'A1', or 'A2') match any of the entries in the Klasse column. Using the method suggested in the linked discussion, I crafted the following formula:  OR(FIND('A', {Klasse}) > 0, FIND('A1', {Klasse}) > 0, FIND('A2', {Klasse}) > 0)This formula is intended to verify if 'A', 'A1', or 'A2' exists in any of the Klasse entries. However, I encounter an issue where FIND('A', {Klasse}) incorrectly matches entries containing 'A' as part of a longer string (e.g., 'AM146'). I am looking for a way to ensure that only exact matches are identified.Could you provide some guidance on how to refine this formula to achieve exact matches only?

I am attempting to use a form to update a record in the existing table.So an account executive fills out a form with the new terms and rate amounts for 2025 2026 and 2027I tried coping a workflow shared by a community member (https://community.airtable.com/t5/other-questions/updating-existing-records-problem/td-p/187594) where they made a new table from the form and then updated the old table but that isn't working for me.  I think it was from Consultant @ The Time Saving CoBefore that I was bypassing the second table and that did not work either. Hi there. I'm trying to create a formula that returns a numerical value (price) based on a dropdown field. So, if "Option Zebra" is selected in the dropdown, the formula returns a value of 250. If "Option Lion", then the formula returns a value of 300, etc. Would some amazing wizkid be able to help me with that?

I've been tasked to create an interface that serves as a self-help page for people who encounter common tech issues. I also want them to be able to rate whether the solution helped them, but seems when using record interface won't allow a public user to interact with the rating element even after making it editable. Everything else is working except this component. Is there a workaround for this?

I have created an airtable base to see what steps different organizations need to take. I have a list of all of the steps in one table. And a list of all organizations in another. I have a linked column connecting the two to show what steps each organization has taken. I am trying to make it so I can easily see the steps that an individual organization has NOT taken yet/ what they still need to do (They all have to do all of the steps). I don't necessarily care how it is done as long as I don't have to do it manually and can easily see what steps have not been taken by each organization.For example, I want Organization 2 to say that it still needs to do steps 15, 19, and 20 (the steps do not have to be done in order for the most part).Images and an example base are attached for a better understanding of what I am trying to get at.
