Hello! I am trying to set up a work request form, and am stuck on one part. I’m not sure whether I need to use formulas or automations, but I’ve scoured help videos and articles to no avail trying to find what I’m looking for. I would like to have a numerical Work Order ID (basically a consecutive numerical number) added to a record field as soon as the record is created. Ideally, I’d love for it to take this form (Year-####), as that’s the current system we use, but I’d settle for just a unique numerical number for each new record created. I’m sure this is simpler than I’m making it out to be, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there, hoping someone can assist me. I need a formula that will note true/false based on an attachment field.For further context, this will be used in another formula that combines various fields into a link which goes to a custom Typeform. The fields from Airtable are set as hidden fields, but at the moment I'm having issues with the logic because it can't recognise if the data is true/false since the entire file name is showing. Having this terminology would be good so I can simplify the link and the Typeform logic.I tried working with the TRUE formula but couldn't get that to work.Let me know if you need more information. Any assistance would be appreciated.UPDATE - I've found a solution;IF( {Attachment Field}, "TRUE", "FALSE" ) 

I have the above time stamps. What I need to do is calculate the hours/minutes from 8AM to the Start Date 1, as well as End Date 1 to 5pm. How can I accomplish this? 

I’ve seen a lot of wild posts about this topic, but I was wondering if there was a a more simple and concise explanation for how to convert a field containing an integer in Unix Time, to a Date field. I'm reaching out for your expertise. My sample table has three date fields: Joined, Separated, and Date Rejoined. It also has two formula fields: Prior # of Years from Joined date to Separated and Total Years. I need your helpto correct the formula for calculating the total years of membership.I am trying to calculate the total number of years they have been members. I can do that, but the problem is that when they join, separate, and rejoin, we don’t give them credit for the years they were gone/separated. Here is the formula I used for Total years. I’m sure my formula must be wrong for the “total years including prior years".     DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Joined},'days')/365 - {Prior # of Years from Joined date to Separated}But for members who have never separated, it gives me NaN for prior and total. I've been trying to find out what counts towards my automation run; however, either I can't find it, or I'm constantly overlooking the something.Basically I just want to have a solid grasp on what adds towards my automation limit?Is it just counted every time an automation runs?Does steps in the automation also count?Does loops count as one or multiple runs?

Hi Airtable Community, I’m attempting to send an email every time a new record is created. The message of the email should include the contents of every field that has data in that new record. Our fields are added to regularly, and I do not want to edit the automation every single time a new field is added to our table.  Is there already a known solution to this, that will automatically include all fields with data in the message of the email without pre-coding the specific field into the automation?  Thank you,Danny

My table has two checkbox columns that are set to show different symbols for True. “Actively Working” column is set to show a yellow star. “Hide” is set to show a red “x”.Both of these columns are showing a mix and match of both values (see photo). It is happening in the app on both ipad and phone. Individual records opened up show the correct value in the correct column. Anyone else having this issue? How do I resolve it?

I’m an airtable newbie. I’m building a base for planning production (live events) for the AV company I work for. One of the things I need to track is our pre show, show, and post show milestones in the planning process. The time frame is based on when we are loading in gear for the event. I need to make an automation that will take the load-in date and subtract 30 days for pre-show items, stay the same date for show items, and add 14 days for post show items. I have the pre, show, and post as a single select. Any and all help would be appreciated 

I have a list of clients that I do work for. I do the same 50 tasks for each client. Each field in my table is another task. The tasks are dropdowns with the status of the task like assigned, in progress, completed, and questions for supervisor.My supurvisor wants to create a view that shows only the questions for her. I did this by filtering the view to only show records (clients) that has the choice ‘questions for supervisor’ in field a, b, c d, etc. all the way through. This works well.However, I need to unhide all the fields because maybe that field is the one with a question. So, when a question pops up in her view, she has to scroll all the way to the right until she finds the field that has a question. This wastes a lot of time especially because there are a lot of clients and by each client there can be more then one question.I am looking for a way to only unhide a field that has ‘questions for supervisor’ for at least one record. Hi,In my Airtable, I have a simple Work Order app, connected to Softr.My tables are: Owners, Units, Work Orders. All 3 tables are linked.I would like to automate (autofill?)  “Owner’s Name Surname” in Work Orders  tableWhen a user chooses an Unit (like in WO 6),  Owner’s Name Surname  should be automatically filled (in WO 6 -  “John Doe”).(I can rearrange  Owners  table, and make   Owner’s email   as primary field, if that will help)I have tried different Automations, but I couldn’t make it. Thank you very much. 

I just tried out automating sending some emails with Airtable. Is there a way to remove the Airtable branding? The „via Airtable“ in the from field, as well as the „Sent via Automations on Airtable“ at the bottom? Thanks!

Hi all,I have a very strange behaviour with Airtable attachments together with make.comIn a loop in make,com, I create 4 images using FLUX.  I upload the generated images using "Create a record" module together with some other data (attachment column type) The images are correctly uploaded to the Airtable. Later in the same scenario I use the “Search records” module in order to retrieve the 4 rows with the images The rows and data are retrieved correctly but in *some* cases (this can’t be reproduced) the returned data for one of the images  contains only the ID and the original URL (that I used to upload the image) instead of the Airtable data with the airtable URL and the thumbnails, etc..See the screenshots:The first one shows the Create Record and the circled field contains the URL for the upload The second shows the wrong result for one image (yellow) and the correct result for another (green) The thirds shows the output bundles which make it obvious that there’s a difference.Any i

Have built 4 tables to collect inventory information on our fire department’s truck inventory.Tables:cabinets i.e. E-211 Cab. #1 items i.e. 2 1/2” Brass Male to Male Coupler inventory: list and # of item in each cabinet archive inventory: because the governing body wants it.I am trying to create this using Interfaces. What I am trying to do is use a Record Review template that has the cabinets in the left pane and the inventory items for each cabinet in the right pane. I have been successful in that. I have a working Inventory Interface page. The item list is complete (2,501 items). The Cabinet list is complete (65 cabinets).Truck Captains will use an iPad to open Airtable to the Inventory interface and choose one of the truck/cabinets they are responsible for from the left hand list and check off the inventory items they find. Hello, Currently I have a date field called Date, I would like to make a formula that looks at this date and outputs the first Tuesday of the previous month.Example{date} - Shows March 13, 2025Formula - Should show February 4, 2025 (First Tuesday of Previous Month)I was able to find the 1st date of the previous month utilizing this, but I cannot seem to figure out how to get the first Tuesday. DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD(DATEADD({Date}, -1, 'month'), -(DAY({Date}) - 1), 'days'),"MM/DD/YYYY") 

I see several posts that are similar to my question, but I haven't been able to find the actual solution yet.  I have a database of all our locations, and at any given time we have about 40 pending locations. I'd like to send an automated email to the listed manager each month asking for an update until the status is changed from pending to open.  Some managers have multiple pending locations at one time so I'd like to only send one email per manager rather than multiple if there are several pending in their area. There's probably a few ways to do this, but for now I have a rollup column on a different table that breaks down by district all the pending locations.Any thoughts?

Hey all,I’m getting the dreaded “received invalid inputs” but it’s not specific.I have a form that someone fills out to get a “certificate” number in another table.There’s a specific view for the Non-Assigned certificates. There are two tables, one that stores the form’s data, and another that has a listing of certificate numbers and such. Now I’d set it up as such: Then the Find Records settings:  Not sure what else to do???   

Hello!I created a Project Template base that has various phases and steps with our design process. This base will be duplicated and renamed as new projects come in.I also created a separate Project Dashboard base, to be used to get a birds eye view of all the active projects going on at once.In the Project Template base there’s a table with a name, assignee, and project status fields. This grid view is synced to the Project Dashboard.Once I duplicate the project template base and rename it to the new project, is there a way to pull in the new name of the base into the name field?I didn’t see anywhere in the functions to pull in the base name. I was able to generate the base name using the script extension +  output.text(`${base.name}`);, but I don’t see a way of bringing that information into the name field.Thank you for your help!

Hi Airtable Friends,I need help. Since I couldn’t squeeze all the Product fields I needed to see at-a-glance into the Record View template, I laid them out onto a Blank Canvas. But when I add the List element, it doesn’t display a list of products as would have been the case with the Record View template. Instead, it only allows me to choose from one of the Link to Record fields. If I change the source to “Products”, I see the list of products—but it’s not at all connected to the record view fields. Really hoping some of you  geniuses out there have ideas! Thanks in advance!  

Hi, I want to be able to copy the result in one field into another single-line text file so that I can look it up. The first field is multi-select. All I want to do is convert it into a single-line text field. I need this to look up the text from another table. I need to do this because the first field is already a lookup in this table from yet another, and I need to be able to link some of the details from a third table altogether. I hope this is making sense. I don’t know how else to explain it. Thanks S

See screenshots below - I've used the "find records" option many times, and always restrict it to a specific view.  Only this time, and any time I test the find records action anywhere globally, it suddenly seems to stop at 10 records. The description still lists the limit as 100 records, it just stops at 10.  The view in question has 52 records in it. I've even went so far as to test this on older automations which we've since stopped using (afraid to touch any currently running automations for fear they might stop working properly).I've recreated the automation, refreshed the page, re-sorted/grouped records, but have not been able to work around the issue.Has anyone else ran into this?

Hi community members, I’m setting up an automation that triggers based on the date but running into a problem with getting the values of the record that triggered the automation… To give you context, the main table is "Reservation" and contains all details of the reservation. In it, there is also a linked field "Yacht" which points to another table "Yachts". I have also added 2 lookup fields in Reservations : yacht name and yacht model. I defined the input variables but when I want to output them, the linked fields are empty arrays (see screenshots below). Please advise on how to fix it because I need to pass these values via webhook for further use.  

Here's a question for you all,If you have a check box that asks a question such as [Would you like to add this service?] Where checked is yes. How can I get a formula field to fill with a price result?i.e. IF({New Service}, ….{New Service} Being the checkbox field.
