I have a default value of "not started" set for a single select "task status" field (see screenshot of field settings). In an interface, I'm using a button to create a new record from a Timeline view. The view has filters applied, which include filtering [records without "Completed" in that status field] OR [records with "Completed" in the status field AND Completed Dates within the past 7 days.] (see screenshot of filter settings)The new record form attached to the button also has "not started" selected as the default option for the task status field. (see screenshot of form settings)The problem is that when I click the button, the form defaults the task status to "completed" rather than "not started". I suspect it might have something to do with the filters applied to this timeline but I'm not sure. Hello - I'm fairly new to Airtable and I have a base with 5 tables, each table contains the schedule of a different project that I am tracking.  I want to create an interface calendar that displays milestones across the 5 projects, but I can only see how to source from one table.Is there a way to connect your interface to more than one table? Every time I send my request, I receive the following error message:“Column names must be non-empty strings.”I’ve carefully checked my CSV file, and everything seems fine. The column headers are properly defined, and there are no empty values. What’s more confusing is that when I manually import the same CSV file into Airtable through the UI, it works perfectly without any errors.I have double-checked that:• The CSV file is correctly formatted.• Column headers are valid and properly named.• There are no empty column names.• The same file works fine when imported manually via the UI.Has anyone else faced this issue with the Sync API? I'm having a really hard time with making a formula field only calculate a value if the input field is not empty, including if it's 0. For some reason Airtable seems to treat 0 and empty value that same.Here is my current formula: IF({Monthly Actual} = BLANK(),BLANK(),{Monthly Actual} - {Monthly Goal})In the attached screenshot, I want the fields with monthly actual = 0 to have a difference calculated, and I want the empty monthly actual to not have a difference calculated. The latter works, but the former doesn't. I've tried ChatGPT, Perplexity...etc. all types of AI and can't figure it out!

The Template M Query provided by Airtable at this link which integrates Airtable with Power BI, does not allow scheduling refreshes in Power BI:Instead of allowing you to schedule the refresh, Power BI shows this message warning that the "dataset includes a dynamic data source."Previously, the other Template M Query, with the past API_KEY, allowed to schedule refreshes. Therefore, I think there has to be a way to ensure scheduling with the recent personal_access_token.Has anyone had this problem as well? If so, does anyone know how to change the template to make it work?

I want to check if my search terms ('A', 'A1', or 'A2') match any of the entries in the Klasse column. Using the method suggested in the linked discussion, I crafted the following formula:  OR(FIND('A', {Klasse}) > 0, FIND('A1', {Klasse}) > 0, FIND('A2', {Klasse}) > 0)This formula is intended to verify if 'A', 'A1', or 'A2' exists in any of the Klasse entries. However, I encounter an issue where FIND('A', {Klasse}) incorrectly matches entries containing 'A' as part of a longer string (e.g., 'AM146'). I am looking for a way to ensure that only exact matches are identified.Could you provide some guidance on how to refine this formula to achieve exact matches only?

I am attempting to use a form to update a record in the existing table.So an account executive fills out a form with the new terms and rate amounts for 2025 2026 and 2027I tried coping a workflow shared by a community member (https://community.airtable.com/t5/other-questions/updating-existing-records-problem/td-p/187594) where they made a new table from the form and then updated the old table but that isn't working for me.  I think it was from Consultant @ The Time Saving CoBefore that I was bypassing the second table and that did not work either. Hi there. I'm trying to create a formula that returns a numerical value (price) based on a dropdown field. So, if "Option Zebra" is selected in the dropdown, the formula returns a value of 250. If "Option Lion", then the formula returns a value of 300, etc. Would some amazing wizkid be able to help me with that?

I've been tasked to create an interface that serves as a self-help page for people who encounter common tech issues. I also want them to be able to rate whether the solution helped them, but seems when using record interface won't allow a public user to interact with the rating element even after making it editable. Everything else is working except this component. Is there a workaround for this?

I have created an airtable base to see what steps different organizations need to take. I have a list of all of the steps in one table. And a list of all organizations in another. I have a linked column connecting the two to show what steps each organization has taken. I am trying to make it so I can easily see the steps that an individual organization has NOT taken yet/ what they still need to do (They all have to do all of the steps). I don't necessarily care how it is done as long as I don't have to do it manually and can easily see what steps have not been taken by each organization.For example, I want Organization 2 to say that it still needs to do steps 15, 19, and 20 (the steps do not have to be done in order for the most part).Images and an example base are attached for a better understanding of what I am trying to get at. Why, oh why, do I not have control of how I order elements on a Dashboard interface? I want to put a list view first, at the top of the interface. There seems to be no way to do that. The first option to add is a count, then I can add bar graphs and pie charts, etc, and then lists and pivot tables have to go at the bottom. A list or pivot table can't be dragged to the top, nor the pie and bar graphs dragged below. This is a huge pain and I do not understand why there is no option to arrange elements the way I want them, the way they make the most sense. Am I missing something here? Doing something wrong?

I have a table called Task template, which contains a 18 records of all the tasks I want assigned to a project. I have been using a simple automation that runs in airtable when a new project record is detected. The automation finds all the tasks in the template table then loops through the resulting list and creates new tasks in the task table matching each of the template tasks.  This all works fine.This evening I added a step to set a field in each newly created task to be the assignee based on a field in the project table that initiated the automation. This works too... but sets ALL 18 tasks with the same assignee, and this is not what I want.Each task has a field called "system task ID" which is a text field containing value 001 - 018. The intent was to make these tasks referenceable in the softr platform I am using with this data.The challenge I need to figure out is how can I set the automation to set the assignee ONLY on newly created tasks with a system id of 001 - 010?Bel

Hi all, I'm am building a price comparison base which will be used to compare pricing from 1000+ suppliers on a range of products (3000+), but as a former Excel user, I'm struggling to mentally picture the base.I understand it would be one table for products and one table for suppliers, but I'm not sure how I structure the records to report on the cheapest supplier price.So if Product A is sold by supplier 1,2,3 & 4:1. How do I link each supplier to the product with their respective price?2. How do I get a column to show the cheapest price and from which supplier?My brain automatically reverts to rows for products and columns for suppliers, but I know that's a  spreadsheet mentality and I will regret it as the data grows... Any help sincerely appreciated!

I am using airtable with softr for a client portal, and I and trying to configure and automation to send and an email to the portal admin alerting them that a user has logged in for the first time. I have a "users" table in airtable which maps to the "users" table in softr. I have last modified turned "on" in air table. Softr maintains it's own "last seen" field which I have mapped into a matching date field in air table. The basic logic is that the "last seen" field is empty until a user logs in. So I would think that I would just need to trigger when the "last seen" is part of the "last modified" history? But this alone would result in an email going out every time the last seen field changes which would be every time the user logs in.I only care about the FIRST time, so I would need a way to check if the "last seen" field was previously empty, then compare it to the current field contents. I just do not understand where I would get the "previous" value from?I am open to doing t

I have a form where users will enter product details, among those details is the "Field Date", I am trying to set up automation so that when they submit a form and enter a new record, it takes the "Field Date" and subtracts 11 days from it and then enters the new date into the "Feedback Due" column for that product.I have a TRIGGER set to recognize when the "Field Date" is not empty. My ACTION is set to Update Record, then in the "Feedback Due" I am trying to use DATEADD({Field Date}, -11, 'days') to calculate the new date.I just get "Field "Feedback Due" cannot accept the provided value: Could not convert string to date."Both columns are set to the same date format. Hi there,I have a team of account executives and I'm trying to rollup the amount of revenue each person manages during a 12-month period. Revenue is generated on a per project basis. Each project has a start and end date and a monthly retainer fee, which are recorded in the project's record in my project table. I have a formula field ("Project Value") that calculates the total project value.I maintain a second team member table and I link account executives to the projects they manage using a linked record field. Some projects are managed by two account executives (and are linked to two account executive records as a result).The problem is that when I rollup the amount of revenue each person manages during a 12-month period, for projects that have two account executives attached, the rollup attributes 100% of the project revenue to both of the employees linked (rather than 50% to each). Can anyone point me towards a solution? Many thanks.

Setting this up in Smartsheet is easy and intuitive, requiring no formulas.Desired workflow:I want to set the Start Date, the Duration and task Dependency so that, if the Duration or Date(s) of a task change, the downstream tasks, as denoted in the Dependency field, will auto-magically update. Hi,I have a formula that almost works. I'm trying to make my primary field a formula where it looks at "Column A" and looks at "Column B". If a there's a value in "Column A", enter that value as the primary field. If there's a value in "Column B", enter that value in the primary filed. If there's a value in both "Column A" and "Column B", combine those two values and place a "/" between the two fields. The formula I have looks like this: IF(AND({Column A} != BLANK(), {Column B} != BLANK()), CONCATENATE({Column A}, "/", {Column B}),IF(Column A != BLANK(), {Column A}, {Column B})) This does work. However this formula is adding the "/" character to the beginning of "Column A" and at the end of "Column B" when there's only one value in one of the fields.
