Hello, I want to know if there is a formula to identify a text within a link cell, in this cell conditions that a home meets appear. Example: unreleased, released, foundation, walls, roof, finishes, finished. I want the formula to identify if the cell evaluated says without releasing the result is UNSTARTED, if it contains released the result is IN PROCESS or if it contains finished, the result is TERMINATED. I have tried with the IF formula, but I have not succeeded. Thank you 

Hello,I am endeavoring to create a social-media post manager/tracker to coordinate reposting of the same centrally-approved content on the same dates by many different agencies for various campaigns.  The first table contains a record for each content item with the posting date(s) assigned, along with the agencies who will need to post; since there may be multiple posting dates, instead of a Date field, I have added a table just for dates to make this a Linked Record selection.  My second table, which has a row for each selectable date, pulls in the content to be posted on each selected date with a lookup for the agencies tied to each. This is intended to be the table that contains views specific to each agency for their own status updates, filtered to show each agency's approved content assignments (via the "Msg Approved by City" checkbox). This is how I would like it to work when the base is put into use.  Note that I tried to use Autonumber for the primary f

I’m working on a voting app, where there are tons of enhancements. There’s a ‘Votes’ field which is of type ‘User.’ Users can add their names to that field in order to vote for that enhancement. This is based on a simple, single table.I want to have an interface page that lists enhancements that have gotten votes, sorted by the number of votes each has gotten. So if I add my name to that Users-type field, the number of votes for that enhancement goes up by one, and the sorted list of enhancements by number of votes gets appropriately updated.I thought I could just do a calculated field with this formula: COUNTALL({Votes})However, that’s giving me a value of one (1) for each record, even though right now most fields have no entries and a few have 2 or three.I’ve only done pretty basic things with Airtable, so I’m hoping there’s a simple way to do this and I just can’t get google to find it for me. Any help you can offer would be appreciated! 

I use Airtable as a logbook for the vehicle (TABLE1). Each row = one trip. I would like to use automation to send myself an email when an oil change is due. So I need to total the miles driven (from TABLE1) and compare that to when the oil change is due, which should be placed in another table (TABLE2).Is it possible to create one record in TAB2 that still shows the current SUM column from TAB1 (same number as in the summary bar)?I don't want to use a rollup that has to be manually updated each time.

I built a project management tool using softr as the UI. I am looking to build an airtable automation that sends and email upon various triggers with the airtable data. The triggers seem to work fine, I am having trouble pulling in the data I need from related records in other tables. The data structure in this example would be:Project Table - has a field containing project members. This field is related to the user table Users table - has individual records for each user and a field in each user record containing all the projects it is associated with Drafts Table - Each record contains the data about a video draft I have built, including the project the draft is related to.The desired automation would detect a new draft record has been created and find the associated project record which contains a field defining the “primary project contact”. Hi,I’m experimenting with the RLP with DNA 2023 Airtable template.  I’m trying to personalize the column headings and can’t figure out how to do what I want after reading the Airtable help.  Can someone please tell me the following?  It's really a general question about copying/pasting a column field from one tab to another.I made a new field called “My Tree” and inserted it on the DNA Match Details tab.  But, now how do I insert that same “My Tree” column on the Kit Access tab?Thanks! 

Hi, I have an automation that triggers on record update. But it triggers whilst I’m still typing instead of once i finish and press enter. Is there a way i can tell it to wait until the user ahs finished entering the data (aka pressed enter) and then run? Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi there! I have two tables involved in this automation, a Projects table and a Tasks table. Currently my automation is set up so that when a project status changes to "Ready to Build," a series of new records are created in the Tasks table.I'm running into a scenario where a project might be paused or delayed and moves back to "Pending" status, then back to "Ready to Build" again at a later date. Is there a way to keep the automation from recreating the same set of tasks again?Thanks! 

Hello Airtable community!I inherited a pretty robust Airtable system from a predecessor and have been working to revamp it, but my formula skills are not as good as the person who came before me, and I've been struggling to get IF AND statements to work. The logic seems sound, but they keep returning empty cells.One of the ones I'm struggling with concerns a formula that should return 1 of 2 options if a cell has a specific entry. I can get a single IF statement to return the correct result, but as soon as I try to include an AND, it fails. Here's what I have so far:In my table, the formula field is 'Ship From' with the two options being 'Direct from Printer' or 'X Distributor'. I want the formula to return 'Direct from Printer' if another field - 'Role' - is one of 3 options: Marketing/Sales, Licensor, or Editor in Chief. Hello everyone, I have the following problem: I have an Airtable automation that informs the assignee of a project when some fields change. Now we often have the case that there is no assignee yet but someone edits one of these fields. Then the automation fails and I receive a notification by email every time that the automation has failed. Can I change this somehow?Unfortunately, triggers cannot be cobined, for example: If field A changes and assignee is not empty. best regardsMirko

hi everyone!I am using automations to send a message on slack when certain conditions are met. In the body of the message, I want to show the conditions that were used to create the listed results... but cannot figure this out.I have a "Find Records" block setup, with the condition to find 5 records that match a certain multiselect field (in my screenshot, "O Positive").  This works fine.When I go to configure the message block,  I can add different dynamic data by clicking the +, however, there is no way to select the condition. I want it to say "O Positive" in my message body (chosen dynamically from the Find Records block), but I only see the option to list the results here, which puts this in my message 5x, since it's showing this field for each of my 5 records. Instead, I want to simply show the condition I selected in the Find Records block 1x... so the message lets us know the conditions that created the resulting message.Is there any way to select the condit

Hi there! I am trying to remove NaN values from a formula field where both positive and negative values exist. This is in an effort to clean up two extensions: One chart indicating the number of each value's occurrence and one number where I am trying to get the average of the values, but with NaNs included I receive an infinity. Here is my current formula:DATETIME_DIFF({Due Date},{Date Completed},'days')+IF({Date Completed},{Due Date} = "NaN", BLANK())Thank you in advance!

Hi,I'm trying to create a table to track income and the records feed from different tables using automations which are assigned a deal type as they're created. If they're type A the commission is 15% of the payment amount, if they're type B the commission is 10% of the payment amount and if they're type C then the commission field needs to return 0. I don't know if it makes a difference, but the payment amount field is a formula. I've tried SWITCH({Type of deal},"A", {Payment amount} * 0.15,"B", {Payment amount} * 0.10,"C", 0) But I just keep getting ERROR in the results. I tried looking here at nested IF formula and came up with:  IF(AND({type of deal} = ”A”, {Payment amount} *0.15,))IF(AND({type of deal} = “B”, {Payment amount} *0.10,))IF(AND({type of deal} = “C”, {Payment amount} *0))But there's clearly something bigger wrong there that I can't see because it says it's not a valid formula. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated, thank you

I have set up a slack message to kick off a workflow that requires manual input.  The slack message has multiple buttons that once clicked check the appropriate field in the Airtable.  The problem is that once one of those buttons are clicked, all of them disappear in the slack message.   How do I make it so that once one button is clicked the "Updated in Airtable" message only shows for that button; allowing for the other buttons to be clicked?

Hi There, I know I should already know this but I always get nervous when dates are involved. I want to be able to highlight either a field or a row when a task in the row passes the deadline. I don't need to know any other information like how many days over it is, I just want it to be highlighted to bring attention to it. I have a [Date Due] column and a [Status] column. Hey there,Thank you for your time helping me !So i'm a mushroom farmer. I cultivate different batchs simultaneously. Each time I harvest one, I create a record for it, with the date of harvest, the batch harvested and the weight harvested. There is a tab dedicated to it.I also have another tab which contains more infos about each batch, and also a sum rollup of the harvests of each batch.My main metric to know if a batch is good is the yield, I compare the total weight of the batch to the amount harvested. For example, I harvested 10 times a batch, the total is 300kg of fresh mushrooms on a batch of 1000kg of mushroom substrate, hence 30% yield.But I'd like more complex infos, for instance I'd like to know on which specific date of harvest I crossed the 10% yield mark, the 20% ... So i could know for each batch after how many days I crossed the 10%/20% markI've tried some combos of rollup and formulas but nothing works so much, any ideas ?

But suddenly the field where the calculation was says #ERROR! now although it said 100% before. I can't figure out what has changed because I didn't change the fields used in the formula.I would appreciate your help.The field name is Sold v Booked %The formula is:IF({# of Winners Booked},IF({Number of Winners/GCs Sold},{# of Winners Booked}/{Number of Winners/GCs Sold})) The # of Winners Booked field is a Lookup field from another table. The Number of Winners/GCs Sold field is a Number field. I wasn't sure if the above formula would work because the # of Winners Booked field had 1, 1 in it as it's looking up multiple records.  So I was thrilled when the Sold v Booked % field showed "100%" which was correct since it was 2 that sold and 2 that booked..&

Hi everyone!Im using automations to send updates of records (a list of 5 at a time) to a slack channel... I have the data I want to showing up correctly, but I'm wondering if there is any way to customize the style/spacing of the output of the "List of Records" in the message block?For example, I want field names to be bolded, to have the field and data on the same line (instead of next line), and make a different separator than "-----------------------".The "List of Records" content option in the Messages block has no options to customize that I can see (screenshot)... Maybe there is another solution though?  Wanted to ask!!

I have been playing around with @Justin_Barrett’s excellent script “Parent Child tree hierarchy” (Parent Child tree hierarchy). The output of this is a text field with any separator you like, for example: World > UK > London > Hammersmith > Elspeth Avenue > Joe’s Cafe World > France > Paris > La Defence > BNP Paribas World > USA > New York > Manhattan > Central Park Question - is there any way to extract the #3 item (or the #2 or #4 for that matter) from these text strings? In this case, to pick out “London”, “Paris” or “New York”. I assume this should involve counting 2 instances of the separator (“>”), and then selecting the text from there up to the next separator.

Is it possible to create a publicly accessible Interface whereby access to a given record is based on a unique string that is entered in by the end user? I have records (of students) and want an individual’s information accessible only be entering a unique string. Ideally, I wanted a field where you enter in a string and then gives access to one record along - can this be built out within airtable? Thank you all!
