Hello - I've searched the discussions, but found no resolution to this issue - to display my database addresses on a map, I have to convert the addresses to GPS coordinates, which I've done - now to re-integrate the new columns with the coordinates into the Airtable base, I found the CSV import extension, which would work great... however, the option to merge by Record ID is not available, and I have no other way to merge them. We have branches of organizations with the same name multiple times - how can I get the same functionality but matching by Record ID?

Hello, my airtable is used within data within a project management platform I built in sotfr. my client portal users enter data via a softr modal which lands into the airtable and a softr table view that displays the entered data. I need each entries of by user to be auto-numbered from 1 to whatever the final entry is.For example if the data represented a christmas wishlist, and little bobby entered a “toy truck”, “building blocks”, and “book”, I need the list to show:toy truck Building blocks bookAnd if little tommy entered “Basketball”, “ipod”, and “ball cap” the list should be basketball ipod ballcapThe number needs to be hard coded to the entry, so that when the list is sorted differently the number follows along, for example, if I sort little tommy’s list within the softr presentation layer alphabetically the list should be:3. Hi guys, I’m trying to find a way to insert a formula that calculates the expiration date of leases based on the commencement date and the number of months that the contract is for. So far, I have this: DATEADD({Commencement}, {Term (mos)}, ‘months’) This calculates the expiration date almost perfectly, but I need to find a way to take one day off of the formula. A 12 month lease starting on 03/01/21 would return 03/01/22, but the expiration would actually be the last day of February, not the first day of March, if that makes sense. How can I get the formula to subtract one day from the result? Thank you!

Hi!I am wanting to see if it is possible to create a Form in Airtable for payment. Once the participant fills out the form, depending on their answers, it will charge them X or Y. We use PayPal, but I know Stripe has an integration with Airtable, so maybe that could be an option. I have scoured the community board, etc. and have found similar questions, but answers are from 3 years ago. Has anything changed? Is this possible to connect a payment to an Airtable Form? Any help is appreciated 🙂 

I am using Airtable for volunteer sign up for an event and wondering if somehow I can add the liability release form electronically. Has anyone done this before within forms? We need a signature and what not so I don’t know if there’s a way to add an attachment they can type in and then that would save on my end. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi, I’ve been using Airtable for a few years and a heavy automation user with Make.com and Zapier. However, I don’t have any programming experience whatsoever.The script is used as one of the steps in my Airtable automation. I’m in need of a script that:Takes a value from a field Multiple that value by -1 (negative 1) Return that value as input for the next step in my Airtable automationI’ve just started online course on Javascript, but this course obviously takes time and I need the script right away. I have built a system where various tables for different Internal departments sync to a “target” table where an API takes the data and uses it in a Warehouse management system. The idea is to use this target table as a place where everything is put together, ideally without any human intervention.However now I've just read the following in the sync support section:Automatic syncs will eventually stop on bases that don't have any recent activity. To keep automatic syncs active make sure that some kind of action (i.e. create a record, update a record, create a new view, etc.) is being performed in the base on a regular basis by automations, humans, or a combination of the two. I wonder how that will affect my target table in the long run.Do new rows that are created via the sync count as 'created record' even though there is no human intervention in the target table? I have a table with contact information for people and business. I need to associate contacts (in the same table) with each other where appropriate. When I associate Sally with Joey (see screen shot), I'd like Joey to automatically be added as an associated contact for Sally.I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how to automate this. Especially since I don't want to affect the Pizza Shop record in this case, I just need to locate the record that was just linked to (Sally) and enter the record that was updated (Joey) while also retaining any records the "linked to" record (Sally) already contained in the linked field (Pizza Shop). 

Hello guys! I work at a biotechnology company and we use bioreactors to produce fertilizers. My problem is the following: I have a database with two tables: Orders and Tasks One of the fields in the Projects table automatically calculates the number of fermentations (tasks) I have to run depending on the volume of fertilizer I need to produce. The calculation considers the total volume that must be made per order, the number of bioreactors I have available at the time of the order, and the production capacity of each bioreactor. Since the number of brews (tasks) is dynamic, I would like to automatically create a Task list for each order. For example, if I need to perform 17 fermentations (tasks) in a given order, I would like 17 new records to be created in the Tasks table and associated with the order. I need a column to calculate the total days- formula being ENDDATE minus STARTDATE plus 1.  Any suggestions?  I can get the datetime_diff, but that is days between not total days.Thank you!! 

Hi everyone, I have an automation, where the automation should copy a field whenever a new record is created. It should copy the data from Instance field to All Events field in the same table. However I get an error that says “Updating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.”. I made this automation as the owner of the base and I have absolutely no idea what or where is going wrong. Does anyone have any recommendations to solve this problem? Thank you in advance!

When I am downloading a .csv file from my base when opening the file in Microsoft Excel some of the data is missing/changed. The field that is having the issue is a linked field that lists numbers from an autonumber field. It seems that after 5 sets of 3 digit numbers the numbers just change to zeros. I have attached photos of the data from Airtable and what I am seeing in Excel.

I am having an issue where I have a table that calculates a sum Total. I figured I could easily just show a user’s name + total on the interface but it seems very hard for some reason.Right now, I get the sum with a user’s name, but it then adds all of these columns for each unique sum there is within the data set.Example Image: And here is what the data l​​​​​ooks likeSo I am just trying to make a table on the interface (as we will share that view) that simply shows Name + Total.I have a bar chart showing this, which kind of works, but just having 2 columns with plain text would be nice too in the interface.Thank you!

Hi all, I want to do some fairly complex actions when my users create a new record, and in certain circumstances block them from creating it.Here is the logic that I want to run when I create a new record: If FieldA is not null Look for a record with matching FieldA If such a record is found, do not add this record, stop 🛑 Else: If FieldB is null Fetch BValue from external source with a script that takes FieldA as input If FieldB is now not null: Look for an already existing record with a FieldB value that matches what I found If such a record is found, do not add this record, stop 🛑 Else, update this record with the new FieldB value The first issue is that I have nesting “IF”s here. And I cannot seem to nest IF statements in the automation interface. I have a Teams level workspace with the following solution : Services Rendered Businesses Staff Monthly Reports YTD ReportsThe monthly & YTD reports are essentially acting as join tables for generating rollups, counts, and other formula fields to create up-to-date Month & YTD reports each time a new Service Rendered is submitted. In order for this to work smoothly for month reports, I set up an automation to relate the services rendered and businesses they were rendered to directly to the report itself each time a new SR was submitted. In order to add the new SR & Business without overwriting the others, I had to lookup and re-insert ALL the businesses and services each time. Not a big deal for one month’s work. BUT…Now, I’m ready to create a similar YTD report of my monthly reports table but quickly discovered that we will always have more than 1000 services rendered in a year, so this will not work for the YTD report after the first few months have passed. Hello!We have a dashboard interface that we share with our clients. While we filter the elements of the dashboard to show records only where an email field in the record is the same as the login email of the Airtable account, anyone can still see a full list of who has access to the dashboard and their Airtable email addresses. This has been brought up as a concern as various countries would see that as a possible privacy infringement since contact information is shared. Is there a way to hide this information to others that also have visibility of a public shared link (be it to a base, or interface)?  

Hi,I’m trying to create a field that tells you when the next due date of your credit card payments are, based on what their monthly due date is (e.g. 5th of every month) and today’s date. I know I’m creating a string that looks like a date and not a date itself, which isn’t a problem for me.My issue is that the comparison I’m using to check if the Payment Due Date is before today, a simple comparison of values really, is returning one wrong result! I created extra formula fields to see where things went wrong, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the issue is! Basically, when I compare the number in Today against the Payment Due Date, with this formula: IF(DATETIME_FORMAT(TODAY(), "DD") > {Payment Due Date}, "yes", "no")  I get an incorrect result (Payment Due Date 5 returns “no” when it should be “yes,” because 22>5). I don’t get it. Does anyone know what’s going on? Thanks a lot!  

I have a single select field in an interface that allows users to enter new values if what they need isn’t already on the list.  This will grow over time and it would be a lot more useful if it was in alphabetical order, but I don’t want to have to go into the field properties every day and click the alphabetize button.  Is there any way to automate this?

I have a multiple select field called “Weaknesses” in which a client can select different areas they’re struggling in with the language they’re learning. I’d love a formula that takes their responses and transform it to 1 word weaknesses and puts them together in a grammatically correct sentence. So... If they say “I can't stick to goals”, then I want the return to be “Goals” in the formula field. If they say "I can't stick to goals" and "I'm not great at speaking" it should return "Goals and Speaking." Hi All,I’m relatively new to Airtable and I’m struggling to figure out how to structure the formula to do what I want. I know roughly how to do it in Excel, but really struggling to translate how it’d work in Excel to Airtable. Hi all, hoping the hive mind can solve for what I think may be a common use case. Here we go…I have two tables:Table 1: List of records from form submissions. Records are only added to this table. Records are linked to another table with multiple look up fields. We have an automation that when a record is created in this table it finds a record in Table 2 by matching against a unique identifier and updates the lookup fields. If the unique identifier is not matched, the linked and lookup fields remain empty as seen in the screen grab below. Table name is named 1. Onboarding FormTable 2: List of records that is overwritten daily by an external sync. With any given update, records remain, are added to and/or fall off the list so it’s not a situation of “when a record is added”  or “enters a view”. Table is named 2. I have a date, some weeks, and some holidays. I need to add the weeks to my date and exclude all holidays and weekends. I’ve used the WORKDAY function. However, I’m a little uncertain how to treat my weeks. Should I multiply them by 5 (since there are 5 working days in a week) or by 7 (since there are 7 days in a week, and the function will filter out all the weekends)?
