Trying to figure out how to have the Interface “Button” When clicked it will go to the form I built? Do I use external URL?

Hey folks, I’m trying to figure something out.I’ve got an old CSV doc that I’ve integrated. Unfortunately, it’s a mess and I’m only a “enough to get by” kind of Airtable coder. I’m a bit stumped.So, I’m trying to make a formula that combines multiple cells to make a condensed long text field for mailing addresses (if possible). Unfortunately, many of these individual cells are empty and there are 562 lines of them. There’s no good rhyme or reason as to what is empty, either. Sometimes it’s address 1 and address 2, sometimes there’s a city and state and nothing else, sometimes all of the information is filled out, so making a straight hierarchal system like I’m more used to seeing doesn’t really work.Example:IF(address 1, <all the info>,   (IF(address 2, <address 2 down>,    (IF(address 3, <address 3  down>,)))Here’s my best effort at what I want to do:Any advice? I’ve been playing with Omni.  I asked it to merge two multi-select columns.  It created an AI field, which didn’t solve my needs.  I asked it to undo and it could not.  I can’t find one of the merge fields. I’m pretty sure I didn’t delete it.  Which makes me think Omni is not super safe in terms of preventing data loss.Maybe I am imagining things.  Has anyone else accidentally blown away data while using?Thanks!

I have been trying to help my son (13) start up his lawn care business.  I'm familiar with, and use airtable regularly for some small tracking.  I love its accessibility, range, and adaptability.  Thought it would be a good fit.  Created an easy to use base with services available (with fees) table, service provided and dates table, and client table.  Then created an invoice table that he can simply add the services provided to certain customers from the "services provided" table.  Works flawlessly.  He has grown the business and uses written invoicing.  Tried to help him save a step by automating the invoice so he could send it as a text to the clients each month.  Page designer creates the invoice.  Is there a way to send the invoice created as a text or email to an email in the invoice? To sum it up, use page designer to create a document.  Send the document via text or email.  Solution needs to be simple, and low cost

I'm wondering if there is a way to restrict a date field to a range of dates. We have a base that grants people access to our website. In order to get access, they need to fill out a form saying how long they need access for, but we want to restrict it to dates that are 1 or two months from now so they don't put 2025 or something ridiculously far away. Does anyone know how I could accomplish this? Thanks!

I'm setting up an automation triggered by updating a field in one table, which updates a field on the linked record in another table. I'm using "Find records" to search the linked table based on condition that the record's name/title matches the name/title of the linked record from the source. Essentially, I'm just trying to find the record linked to the updated record.However, when selecting "Dynamic" for the condition value, the name/title field to be used is not selectable, with the pop-up message of "no valid nested values" when hovering over the field. It really seems like this should work, and this error message is cryptic and not helpful.Does anyone understand this "no valid nested values" error?Should I be grabbing linked records to be updated in a different way?

I’m building a database for products that sell on multiple marketplaces (Etsy, Creative Market, and my own website). I have one table for the products and another for the marketplaces. I have URL fields for inputting direct links to product listings (separate fields for each marketplace), and fields for linking the products to the marketplaces they’re listed on.Currently, I have to manually add both the URL and link to the related marketplace, but I’d love to create an automation that updates the marketplace link to include all marketplaces for which the URL field isn’t empty. For example, if a product has only an Etsy URL, it should only link to the Etsy marketplace record. If it has both an Etsy URL and a Creative Market URL, it should link to the marketplace records for both. I was able to successfully create an automation that linked to a single marketplace based on a single URL, but when I tried to update it so that it would also link to a second or third marketplace when addition

Hi, We’re battling getting contact duplicates from Meta lead campaigns. Basically people forget they’ve already signed up, and send in a new registration. Since these are Meta, we cannot control anything upstream. A first step is to get our people, who only work in interfaces, alerted that there’s a duplicate to a contact. It would therefore be enough, for now, to achieve a field that tells the user the amount that the current user’s e-mail address can be found in the total base (~2.000 contacts now). I’m trying an approach where I link all contacts to one record in another table, then lookup all e-mail addresses. Back in my main table I link to the second table and lookup the e-mail addresses. I would the like to count the instances of the field “email” in the lookup field where all e-mail addresses are. FIND finds only the first and gives the position, SEARCH does the same. COUNT and COUNTALL do not work on text. How could I get the count? Rgds. Björn

Hello, I wanted to know if it is possible to embed an Airtable table on my website with the Kanban view for example, and to be able to change status from my site without going through Airtable.

I have Two tables. People and Groups. The groups table is used for an assortment of things in our organization. So most everyone is a part of 3-20 groups. My problem comes when I need to add more than 30 or so people to a single group. Bulk adding overwrites all of the varied groups that a person is in and i can’t find an angle to add more than one person at a time to the group without overwriting all of that person’s existing groups. I’m attempting to create an automation that I can use a view that automatically appends a person to a group but I’m thinking there has to be a better way. Any insights?

I’m using the Outlook Email action to send my emails, because (1) my org uses Outlook, and (2) normal Send Email automations get caught by the spam filter of various Outlook distribution emails that are the recipients of certain automations.In the last month, there have been two different instances of the Microsoft API being down, causing my Outlook Email-based notifications to fail to send. But these emails are sending essential information, and I’d like to be able to do something else (send a Slack, or use the standard Send Email action) if the automation failed. Is there anything in either automations or the various APIs that would support this?

I have a nested IF formula that is working well, but is excruciatingly hard to maintain because it’s so many levels deep. It would be easier to maintain if I could use IFS(), but that doesn’t seem to exist in Airtable. Is there anything else similar I could use? The logic is (in pseudocode) : IF regex_match(MYFIELD, expr1) then regex_extract(MYFIELD,pattern1)ELSIF regex_match(MYFIELD, expr2) then regex_extract(MYFIELD,pattern2)ELSIF …. etc for far too many more patterns …ELSE blank()ENDIFI don’t think I can use SWITCH or CASE (if these even exist in Airtable) because each if statement clause is different. Essentially, I have a string that may contain one and only one of a dozen substrings, and I need to detect and extract these substrings whenever they show up. Fun times.

Hi everyone,I’m building my own CRM and want to filter for e-mail domains and create company records based on it. But I do not want to create company records for typical free e-mail-providers like gmx, web or gmail. That’s why I want to filter before running the automation. Can I input more than 1 value into the conditioning “does not contain”? And if so, how? I tried putting a comma inbetween the options but that did not work. And I do not want to setup a condition per domain that should not be included.Thanks for your help!RegardsJonas 

How can I accomplish the following: In a form I want to dynamically alter the choices available in Field B when a certain option is chosen in Field A. E.G Field A could be a single select list of countries Field B could be a single select list of states (All states in all countries) When a specific country is selected in field A, a corresponding subset of options is available to select in field B.

I have a single table with 2 varying date formats, one that is in date format (i.e. 6/30/2025) and another one with single select (i.e. 2025). I’m trying to figure out a way to link the two together, that way when I update the actual date, the year updates accordingly. A lot of times we have multiple people working on the same table, and they update the date column, but not the year. Simplifying this to where the year updates automatically would allow us to keep things consistent. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

I am trying to create an automation that will send a personalized email to a list of recipients. I have a record that triggers automation when matches conditions.I have several records linked to one field of the triggering record that link to the recipients table, where email addresses are stored.I use Find Records to obtain a list of names and email addresses from a linked records.I want to iterate sending Gmail to each of the addresses individually, addressing the person by name and sending the message only to one person at a time.If that is possible, how do I use the input source data in the To: field and in the email body to address one single person - not the list of them at once.If I do not use Find Records to create the input list, then I can only use ID and Name from the linked records and can not pull out their emails from the table where those recipient names, emails and other data are stored, leaving me with useless set of IDs and names only. Thank you in advance for any tho

I have a working formula in my table to calculate the job duration from "job start" to "job end". I am trying to use the same formula to calculate a job response time from "Job Creation date" to "Job start". The formula is as follows:CONCATENATE(FLOOR(DATETIME_DIFF({Job Start}, {Job Creation Date}, 'minutes') / 60), ":",RIGHT("00" & MOD(DATETIME_DIFF({Job Start}, {Job Creation Date}, 'minutes'), 60), 2))However, this doesn't seem to be working as I have a job created date of 20/06/2025 13:00 and a job start of 20/06/2025 13:08 and the result it is giving me is 0:52 - I cannot seem to get this formula to give me the result of 0:08 which is what the actual result should be.My job duration formula works exactly the same way and gives me the correct answer. Hi. So the only way I can read-only share an interface with an external user is through Pro or Enterprise plans? Also is there a way to automate the sending of an interface dashboard for updates weekly, monthly, etc?

I'm using a simple JSON to POST data to create a new record in Airtable.I'm using Field IDs to prevent name changes from affecting the integration. I'm trying to setup an automation that sends out reminder emails to a bunch of people. I'm wanting to customize the email to pull information, such as their name and email address, into the automation. However, when I try to input the dynamic data into the email that will be sent out, the only option I have showing up in my "insert values from field" are ID and the primary field in the table. Whereas with most dynamic setups, I'm able to pull data from any field in the table. Why are the other fields not available? Is there a workaround for this? Hello, I’ve got a Bookkeeping Airtable Base and have created a record review interface for the user to review new records, created with transaction info pulled from their banks. They’ve got to make sure they categorize the transaction and that it has something written into the Vendor field, then they hit the “save” button, which I created to run an automation that updates some things behind the scenes, crucially, pasting the value of a formula field (that adds up the Vendor field plus the transaction year) into a linked field called Merchant, and then marking that record as “reviewed.”So far it’s been going wonderfully, but I ran into an issue when a user told me they hit “save” but nothing happened, and going in I realized that the automation only works when there is already a record in the linked Merchants tab with the correct Vendor+year combo. Hey everyone,I'm working on migrating data from an old database to a new Airtable base, and I've set up linked tables. I've also created a script extension that successfully migrates a record when I manually select it within the extension.My goal is to embed this script in a button field on my interface. This button should allow users to run the script directly on the current record they are viewing, without having to open the script extension and select the record manually.Here are my main questions: How can I pass the current record (the parent of the button) as an input context to my script when the button is clicked? I need the script to know which record it should operate on. I've noticed that when I link the button to my script, the button appears disabled. Is this because the script is expecting manual input (like selecting a record from within the extension itself), and if so, how can I configure it to be runnable directly from the button? Hi everyone ! I am trying to authenticate a request using Basic Auth. I then need to base64-encode my logins. (could encode them manually and then insert but would prefer to keep that logic in the code) I didn’t found how to achieve this “natively” without rewriting the entire encoding function. btoa() does not seems to work :confused: Can anyone help me on this ?
