Hi there ! 👋First of all english is not my mother langage, sorry if my english is not perfect.I'm working on a customer networking project.We have a multitude of tables, but there's no specific naming convention. they're table used by sales people, so not necessarily a tech culture. &#x1f605For example, in one table to determine which sales rep is the owner of a customer, the name is "owner", in another it's "Account Manager".To create a dashboard grouping together a multitude of information, I've decided to create join tables, as the information I group together will inevitably be useful elsewhere.Is it possible to add the "owner" and "Account Manager" information in the same column to this join table?In SQL, it's possible to do this with "virtual columns", but I haven't found anything about this on Airtable.If this doesn't work with Airtable, do any of you have any feedback on data aggregation using Airtable -> Zapier -> Google Sheets -> Airtable type automations?Tha

I feel like I’m missing something pretty easy. I’m having a hard time converting what I do in Excel into our Airtable base. Each year our clients' total sales (a rollup of their sales for a given year) converts to shares based on a sales/shares tier. The tier changes every year. Because of this, we want to track the data historically. For example:Client ABC’s 2024 Total Sales were $250,000 and they earned 4 shares based on the 2024 shares tier.Client ABC’s 2025 Total Sales were again $250,000, but this year they earned 2 shares because the tiers changed in 2025. We need to track the tier changes each year as to keep data integrity of the shares earned each year by our clients. (We don’t want ABC’s 2024 points to change from 4 to 2, which it would if we use a nested if formula - the change in criteria for 2025 would mean an edit to the formula which would have a cascade affect and change all previous year's data.) ANNUAL CLIENT TABLE - rolls up sales totals for each client for all their

Table 1 is a database of completed projects, table 2 is a list of invoices. How do I have the linked field in table 1 link to the next available invoice # in table 2? The invoice #s cannot be duplicated and I’d like them to stay chronological. All of this is currently set up, but it’s done manually. First, by searching what invoice # is next then in table 1 under the invoices field, create a new record with the next invoice # in line. Is there a simpler way to do this? Table 1 Table 2

Hi, I am pretty new to this and not a developer. We are using Airtable for our product database for our Shopify store, and have Airpower as the sync between them. This works pretty good, but there is one major thing we need that Airpower does not support.We need the number of "committed" inventory of the products to sync from Shopify into Airtable in real-time. Right now, the Airpower Inventory sync only brings the "available" number through, but both are required for us, and we need the data to by syncing constantly so it's up to date.Is this something we could use a webhook for? Or is there a simpler process?

Is there a way to use Airtable sync to conditionally sync data from one base to another? I need to only sync specific records and not all of the records in table.If it is not possible using Airtable sync, is there any other way of accomplishing this?

Am I overcomplicating this?I have an automation to create a time stamp in a Date Completed field when a Status single-select field is changed to Done. The Date Completed field is populated with the full date and time, but I need to utilize this information in a Reporting interface for my management so I’d like to be able to have them select the month from a Dropdown Filter. To that end, I’ve created Month Completed field that uses a simple formula to just show the 3-letter code for the month, based on the Date Completed field.The issue I’m having now is that I’m not able to use that 3-letter code (because it’s a formula field?) as a filter on the Dashboard.I could create another automation that’ll convert the formula field into plain text or even a single-select field, but I feel like I’ve now created a whole bunch of steps to do something that might be accomplished in a simpler method. Note that the Month Completed info isn’t being used anywhere else. Hi all! I have a problem that I feel should have an obvious solution: I’d like to set up an Automation that normalizes a string value after input by base collaborators. However, the Automation appears to run too early, catching only parts of the input string. (This behavior is not consistent, though: From time to time the Automation will catch the whole string.) I selected When record updated as trigger and configured it to watch only for changes in a specific field (in my case: Keyword). Example from the screenshot: The entered text is “Aldi Angebote”, but the Automations appears to run already after the first letters are typed in, so only “Ald” is used as Automation input. What’s the best way to solve this problem? Is there a better trigger for this use case that I am missing?

I have an Airtable that is populated from Jotform submissions. The Jotform has a configurable list that for someone to fill in their schedule for the week. The configurable list can’t be split in Jotform so I’m trying to split information in Airtable. I want all of the days of the week listed in the configurable list cell to be extracted in a Days Open column but can only figure out how to extract the first instance using regexextract.  For example the configurable list will come in as:Day Open: Monday, Opening Date: 2025-06-16, Closing Date: 2025-10-27, Start Time: 09:00 AM, End Time: 02:00 PMDay Open: Saturday, Opening Date: 2025-08-09, Closing Date: 2025-08-30, Start Time: 10:00 AM, End Time: 04:00 PM and I want Monday, Saturday to show up in the days they are open.

I have a base that I’ve published as a library, let’s call it Part Numbers. It only has two fields - a Part Number and a description. I have 2 or 3 other bases that are pulling in this library as a table, and they’re linking records to it.I now need to make some updates to the Part Numbers base - some individual #s may be deleted, or descriptions might be changed, etc. If I upload a new CSV to the main library base and overwrite everything that’s there, but many of the #s never change at all, will the linked records in other bases stay linked?

I would like to send an email at 10am every week day to orders with the status ‘past due’. At the moment I have an automation with Trigger > at a scheduled time Action > find records (if status is ‘past due’) Action > send email however the test email fails due to “Cannot email more than 25 recipients at a time.” at the moment it is adding every recipient to one giant email, rather than separate emails. Is there a way to have it send out separate emails for each ‘past due’ record? I don’t want all of my clients to see each others email address :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks

I have a form for Licensure to get submitted, but I am wanting the person submitting to see the Description of the Code that is chosen.I can't seem to get this to show how I want because I need on my database to have a column with ONLY the code to be passed over on the file I generate.  Ultimately what I want is what you see below.  I want the "License Code - PS to be what is showing.  If we have someone in certain states I need it to change to a certain code.  Here is what it should look like (coming from step 3 below, but read why I don't seem to like this).  I tried a few items listed below:1. Hello Airtable Community, I have experienced recently a misunderstanding with an automation of Airtable. I have a Plus Plan but the number automations free are 0, It says I have done 50.000 automatizations and now I cannot try my app anymore. I don’t need even 50.000 automatizations by now but It has been a misunderstanding of an automation of “When record updates” in the Collections base. This Collections Base is linked with the products (that are 1.000) and this products are sync with Shopify AirPower API that sync the changes every time. So the solution, i think, is to do not watch this records in the automatization… but I did not noticed earlier… Is there any solution on this type of situations? I am a developer and I need to keep working with the automatizations to develop an web for my client, even upgrading to Pro Plan will stop the work for this month as I have achieved 50.000 automatizations… What could I do? We are looking to enable users outside our domain (parents of our students) to submit a form with an attachment. If we turn on the setting "Allow unrestricted access to shared forms" at the org level what other impact might that have from a security perspective? We are using AirTable to manage very sensitive data about our students. Thanks!

We’ve created an airtable base for submissions from teams, and then those need to be reviewed by assigned reviewers.  In the form, the review must select their own name. In another field, they need to select the project they are reviewing. I would like to filter the projects that are options to be just the ones the review is assigned to.  Is there a formula to say the “Assigned Review” field matches the name selected in the review name field?  As a work around, I was going to use filter by View -- but I’m also not seeing that option anymore. Was that moved? 

Hi, I am looking into options or workarounds to check if a value of a record exists in database before submitting a form. Is there a third party software or tool that is compatible with Airtable to do this? or is there any workaround with an automation to submit the form and check if record exists. If it does not exist, open again the form and show an error message to fill out a correct email. I would appreciate any suggestions.Thank you.

I need external parties to update existing records. I have successfully created a second base that serves as the receiver of the updated fields. I accomplished that by creating a form in the second base and using the URL from the form to create a formula field in the first base that will pass a record identifier to the second base. The URL works well and the record identifier from the first base shows up in the new record (RequestID) in the second base to match the record being updated from the first base. My problem seems to be with the automation. I am using when the form, from the second base, is submitted to trigger the automation. I then added update record to the automation. Based on a video covering the topic by Julian Post, I list the second table called New Update as the Table in the configuration. I list RequestID from the second table as the Record ID. It relies on a table for transactions with various fields, as well as a table called Rules, with the rules I want to create for my categorizations. Hi all.So I seem to be stuck. I have a table called People. 100s of records with them all associated with a Company Name (from Company Table). Some people are designated (checkbox) as being a billing contact or primary contact for a company. All of this is great. I made a view called People By Billing view that shows me just those markedNow each year we sent out invoices. We have a table called Payments, with one record for each Company in the Company Table.  This is all good. Here is where I am frozen. What I want to do is pull those that are marked as primary or billing from People to link in the Payments. We want this because we send out emails via the SendGrid tool to those people and attach the Payment ID to it so we can process. I wrote a script that loops through a People By Billing and writes them to a linked record in Payments but it keeps overwriting the record already in the linked record, and honestly, I don’t feel like this needs to be a formula. However, I sometimes receive emails with information that belongs to different records in Airtable.Initially, I receive an order confirmation.
