Hi, I need to calculate the age of a Deceased. I assume a formula is needed. I have Date of Birth and Date of Death to work with and I need the know the age in Years, Months and Days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I obviously don’t know what I’m talking about, so apologies in advance. I was inspired by this Team Schedule using Airtable blog post where they have a formula column that delivers “team member + Status” so I’m trying to create a formula that achieves something similar, but is a little more complex: My columns are: Brand = lookup from another table example “Client 1” Project = lookup from another table example "Awesome Website" Person = lookup from another table example “Betsy” Status = single select example “Working” or “OOO” My goal is to get the formula to deliver [Shortened {Brand} name | {project}] - Status] or {person} - Status where the result EITHER shows: shortened brand name + project + status (example C1 | Awesome Website - Working) OR person + status (example Betsy - OOO) I’ve poked around several topics and the formula database trying to figure it out but I don’t know coding syntax or complex formulas. Here’s what I have so far: Attempt #1 (kind of works?) {Brand} & "

Hello all, I would like to use an If formula: Everything before a certain date should be “True”, everything after “False”. When I write it like this, it doesn’t work: IF(InvoiceDate<3/8/2021,1,2) (InvoiceDate is a Field in Type “Date” with Format “European”). Do you have any idea and could you help me please? Thank you very much!

Hi everyone, I desperately tried for 3 days to solve this problem, could you help me ? I have 2 forms I ask my clients to fill. each form fills a separated table in the same base. Form 1 and Form 2. to do the folllow up I would like to create a “follow up table” to see which companies filled form 1 and form 2, and to be able to send reminders to the companies that just filled form 1. I tried with automations ( find records based on the company name) but it did not work. I would like to have a " follow up table" with the name of all the companies that filled either form 1 and form 2, and being able to see in the fields Form 1 and Form 2, if they filled both. ( the ones that just filled 1 form would receive an automated email if I manage to create the automation :slightly_smiling_face: )Could you help me ? thanks a lot !

Hello. Nice to mee you. I have this probrem.Preformatted text please let me know. //get table info let table = base.getTable("A2_複製"); let queryResult = await table.selectRecordsAsync(); let record; let stocks = new Array(2); //I wanna set to array[i][0~1], but I can't... Error tell me "TypeError: Cannot read property '0' of undefined" for(let i = 0; i < queryResult.records.length; i++){ record = queryResult.records[i]; stocks[i][0].push(record.id); stocks[i][1].push(record.getCellValue("*印刷型番")); } ; console.log(stocks);

Hi guys, Recently, I ran into some weird cases while trying to copy-paste a formula field cell values. When I’m pasting the content, I’m getting the string with quotation marks at the beginning and the ending of the text, while in the field itself I’m not seeing them. Example: You can see there are no quotation marks in the cell itself, but when trying to paste the cell value, I’m getting: “Text text text” Any idea on how to avoid these quotation marks?

I hope this is the right place to ask this. I’m hoping to figure out an easier way to handle a data type in my base. Basically, a lot of the data we use has cities in our area for different purposes (Address for the student, parent address, school address, things like that). So basically we have 5 different fields that are basically of a “City” type. To import into our system, the city names have to exactly match what is in there, or they won’t import. To accommodate this, I made the city list a dropdown selection. We have a ton of cities we serve, and it seems every year we get new ones. Unfortunately, that involves updating the attributes for not only 5 fields, but due to confidential data regulations, those same 5 fields across multiple bases. Is there some way to sync the dropdown selections for those city fields to a master list somewhere? This way, if a new city pops up, we can push it out to all of the bases for our customers, or if we find out someone put in a city name and spe

I’m trying to have a central calendar of sorts fed from a few different sources, and while I’ve used sync to great effect to make that calendar, my one hangup is in entering new events/dates into that calendar. To illustrate, let’s say I have an “Events” calendar and a few other misc calendars. For example a “Holiday” calendar. They are all synced into a “Master” calendar. What I would ultimately like to be able to do is add a new event while referencing the “Master” view. Say, for example, I am looking to schedule an event but want to make sure it isn’t going to fall on a holiday. I’d ideally like to be able to schedule right on the “Master” calendar. But it seems like that isn’t possible, and instead what I would have to do is go back to the “Events” calendar and add the event after referencing the “Master” calendar. Am I missing anything?

I would like to make it so members filling in a form can select their name or their organization’s name from a list in the database using “+add”. But I only want them to see an alphabetical list of member names and not information in any of the other columns. So I created a “member name only alphabetical” view in the database. Then on the form, I selected ‘limit record selection to a view’ and chose “member name only alphabetical”. But all the hidden fields are still showing up. I only wanted the alphabetical names to show. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Airtable Community! Need some assistance for a date formula that is stumping me. Here is the backstory and the info that accompanies the screen shot I have attached: I have a field that the user chooses for a month called “S1 Month – Choose”. I then have a field next to it called “S1 Month Shown”. This field converts the 1st field to a numeric value using the following formula: IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“January”,“1”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“February”,“2”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“March”,“3”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“April”,“4”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“May”,“5”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“June”,“6”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“July”,“7”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“August”,“8”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“September”,“9”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“October”,“10”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“November”,“11”,IF({S1 Month - Choose}=“December”,“12”)))))))))))) I have another field that is being used in this process called “Today” that is a formula field to generate the date of today. Here is the formula I am using for this:

I want to create a AVERAGE formula using 3 columns that use the single select function. See attached image.

I’m guessing if it was possible it would have something to do with using typescript but I have not been able to figure it out. I did download node and tried to install the airtable npm but kept getting a “connect EBADF” error. Not sure if any of this is actually gets me closer to my desired goal but this was just me attempting things.

Hello guys, I’m just getting started with Airtable formulas and couldn’t find the right formula for this scenario and will be grateful if you could help here. I’ve 2 columns when based on the value on column A I want to determent if to display a value of column A or column B in the D column. = If column A contains 1 or 2 or 3, then display the value of column A, if contain Y, display value of column B Thanks

Is there a way to trigger an automation when a record is removed from a view? I know there is one from when a record enter a view, but I need the opposite and my random tests have not been working!

Hi there! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:  Is it possible to trim input, by using the _'s ? Or is there a more clever way? Input: John-Doe_recGQNicbCUqYIJ9s_coach-60bf663d8f264a0004816093 Output formula 1: John Doe Output formula 2: recGQNicbCUqYIJ9s Output formula 3: 60bf663d8f264a0004816093 Looking forward to some tips! Thankyou! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hi, I have a time and date stamp being created in a field (Last Modified Time) for a field that we use to say when an Estimate can be made - sort of a “Clock starts ticking Now!” timestamp. The original field that the Last Modified is watching is filled by a Zapier workflow. I then have a second field that gets time and date stamped (Last Modified Time) with when we check a box for when a user says the Estimate is done. Lets say the 1st field has a date and time stamp of 8/1/21 2:30 pm, and the second field has a time stamp of 8/2/21 3:34 pm. How do I calculate the difference between the two? The goal is 48 hrs, so if the total came out as hours I would be fine with that. I currently have tried the following formulas but it seems to be related more to the fomatting allowed by AT but that is just a guess. Here is what I tried: DATETIME_DIFF({Time Stamp on Estimate Checked}-{Time Stamp - Start Time}) also tried: {Time Stamp on Estimate Checked}-{Time Stamp - Start Time} Any help would b

Hey all, I’m struggling to create a view… For context… the table in the screenshot below is an integration that copies every email from my gmail account into AT. I’ve grouped this particular view by “subject line” for the purpose of “batching together” subject lines that have been sent twice or more. My Q is - how do I create a filter that ONLY shows the groups that have 2 or more of the same within them? In other words, how can I create a filter that shows only the emails (subject lines) that have been sent two times or more? Thanks! Christopher

I have been messing around with formulas for two days, trying to figure out how to put a checkmark in the column if the post date is today or after. So, for my social media posts (which I don’t have automated from Airtable, I post them using another platform), once the time has come and gone that the post should have gone live, I want the formula column for that record to have a check box. Thanks in advance for any help with this. Kelsey

Hi! I am trying to set up a field to automatic track the day of a meeting. This meeting is the last Thursday of each month. I found a formula to automatically populate the last day of each month but I can’t find/figure out a solution to change that date to the last Thursday. For Example Last day of the month for August is 8/31/2021 (Tuesday) but I need it to be 8/26/2021 (The last Thursday) Here is the formula I found for the last day of the month: DATETIME_FORMAT( DATEADD( DATETIME_PARSE( DATETIME_FORMAT( TODAY(), ‘YYYY’ ) & ‘-’ & (VALUE( DATETIME_FORMAT( TODAY(), ‘MM’ ) ) + 1) & ‘-01’, ‘YYYY/MM/DD’ ) , -1, ‘day’ ) , “MM/DD/YY” ) I was thinking another formula field using WEEKDAY() might work but it just gives an error when trying to change the day. Thank you in advance!

I created a formula field to merge three date fields into one. No record has more than one date, so I wanted them all to be in one place. However, when I used concatenate, the dates are very long, so I’m trying to use DateTime_Format for all three, but I keep getting Errors. I’ve tried looking this up and have tried different combinations, but no luck. Here’s what it looked like originally before I tried formatting

I’m not a programmer, I’m trying to update a record based on the conditions selected. I’m battling to understand the ‘await’ function. I believe it’s a promise and that it splits the code until the conditions are fulfilled? I kept getting an error if I put the await inside the if conditions. I’ve re-written this a few hundred times and tried looking up what other people have done and now I’m throwing in the towel. Below is the full script, any guidance would be hugely appreciated. // Change this name to use a different table let table = base.getTable("Game Tracker"); // Prompt the user to pick a record // If this script is run from a button field, this will use the button's record instead. let record = await input.recordAsync('Select a record to use', table); let seats = record.getCellValue("Employees"); let segmentSize; await table.updateRecordAsync(record, {"Segment": segmentSize}) if(seats) { if(seats > 300) { segmentSize = "Enterprise"; } else if (sea

Hi all, I am trying to combine text from two fields using Concatenate (and that’s simple enough) but when I try to add a Substitute formula to shorten one field’s text, it doesn’t work. I am new to formulas, and am sure I’m doing something wrong here. Here are the two formulas that work on their own, but not together. Thank you for any insights! SUBSTITUTE(RIGHT({2021-22 School Program & Membership},LEN({2021-22 School Program & Membership})-22) CONCATENATE({Program Booked},’ / ',{School Name})

I’m trying to import a large spreadsheet to a new table. The spreadsheet has about 8.5k rows and about 30+ columns. I’ve tried to import it via both the Google Sheets and Excel importer and in both occasions (on several attempts) it shows the correct data/sheet to import but on clicking ‘Import’, it just hangs on ‘Importing your data…’ with a spinning circle (and a greyed out background). I’ve even left it for 24hrs and it’s still on the same page. I’ve cancelled and started again several times and the same thing keeps happening and there’s never any evidence of even a partial import (it never even creates the new table). Can someone please advise only I’m not a enterprise client (I’m a Pro Client) so they’ve advised I contact the forum. Thank you Stephen PS I’m importing in from the Mac Desktop Client not via the Web Client.

Hello, Is there any way to allow only some fields to be editable in a view ? Through sync’ed bases / views / anything? Regards, Ruchika

Hi all, I’m trying to create a formula that helps me trim a product specific link to its root website link. For example, I have: https://freestar.co/products/12-x-bottles And want to get: https://freestar.co In some cases, the links are https://www. and sometimes they are are above (without the www). Could you help me out?
