Hi, I’m a new user here and trying to create a basic order creation and tracking system. I have a field called Clients and another called client orders as attached above. Basically every time a user enters client name in the order tracking form, I need to generate a new order id in the format of. CUSTOMERNAME/1 and so the next time his name is added on the client order list it generates CUSTOMERNAME/2. I created a field called Latest order Number in the Clients table to act as a counter. I was trying to figure out how to increment the counter corresponding to that client when that client name is selected in the Client Order page. I tried the automate feature on trigger, but it wont allow me to update a record in another table or apply any math formula on it. Is this possible to through a script? Appreciate any help on how to do this. Thanks.

I have 2 bases, one collects data from a form (Form DB) and one that I’d like to use as a master client database (Client DB) for individual companies we do business with. Since the form may be filled out multiple times by one company I’m trying to use an automation to review the Client DB when a form is submitted and if the company is not already there, to add it. Unfortunately companies are being added to the Client DB even though they are already on that list. The following is my set up. Are my conditions wrong? Is my understanding of how the sequence works incorrect? Trigger Type: When a form is submitted Table: Form DB Form: Reg Form Find Records Table: Client DB Find records based on: Condition Conditions *Where > Client Name > Is Not > Client Name (Step 1: Trigger) Create Record Table: Client DB Any help on why this might be creating the duplicates is appreciated.

Will there be any impact to our bases if we remove a billable collaborator who created and maintained said bases? If we remove a billable collaborator, will the system delete or alter some of the information tied to their account?

I am using GET to retrieve data from a table in a base. Rather than getting all the records, I would like to get the records filtered by a view. My query looks something like this: https://api.airtable.com/v0/appXXXXXXXXX.../TheTableIWant?fields%5B%5D=FIELD1&fields%5B%5D=FIELD2_ETC What would the query look like to get a view?

Despite having created a formula field to format my date, it is still sending this format to slack in automation message: 2021-07-31T10:00:00.000Z (which you can see in the screenshot is still the only selectable property in the automation wizard. The date format in my formula field displays correctly like Thursday, November 19, 2020 3:00 PM. What am I missing? My formula is configured as DATETIME_FORMAT(Start, ‘LLLL’)

I want to create a table to calculate my cost of goods, for products that I make. I have a table with the list of products and their RRP. Another table with a list of expenses, ie labour cost, packaging cost, materials cost etc I want to have a third table that takes (product RRP) - (total costs) = profit For example (candle $59) - (wax $2, vessel $5, packaging $3, labour $10) = $39 I’m very new to tables and formulas, so it may be easy and obvious. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello! I just set up submittable forms for event management to autofill our backend, and I want it to send us an email with the completed form. Unfortunately I configured the form from my personal account and it only gives me the option to have the email sent to me directly, but I want it sent to my organization email. How can I customize where the form submission email is sent to? Thank you!

Hello! I’m looking for a way to restrict a lookup to only the record with the max date in a date field. Context: Managing a vehicle fleet Bases: Registration VIN Desired outcome Only display the license plate that is associated with the registration record that has the max “license plate exp date” value. I’m not sure how to go about this. Seems like there may be a way to do so by creating a view in the registration base that only shows the records with the most recent restricting the lookup to that view but can’t figure out the first step there. Any help appreciated.

I am using airtable to coordinate events at a community space and I can’t figure out how to set up the front end with the survey for event booking requests that would go up on our website as the public portal to autofill into our back end. Right now I only have the back end spreadsheet aspect but want to survey portal for people to be able to request events space from the website. How do I set that up? Thank you!

Hi Everyone, I’ve been trying to script from the desktop Mac OS client. I believe it’s an electron app. Unfortunately, any time I try to open the scripting block, it just hangs there and continues showing the loading wheel. I can run scripts, but I cannot edit them, I only see the loading wheel. I saw this thread below: Scripting block does not work in Airtable Electron app Scripting app Running an example script from the Scripting block docs inside the Airtable Electron app (on Windows) generates an error. Running the same script in a browser view of Airtable (in my case: Firefox) works as expected. [Scripting Block Error] My issue is similar, but I don’t get an error at all. Any tips on how to fix this? Thank you!

I was looking around the FAQ and I found this article with the same question but no answers. How do I input specific information into only one grid? Thanks!

Hi, I have a rollup field (called “Lessons Included”) that won’t work in the following formula: IF(AND(FIND(“Math”, {Lessons Included}), {Submit Date}=BLANK()), “Math Pending”, IF({Submit Date} = BLANK(), “Math Not Included”, DATETIME_DIFF( {Materials Due}, {Submit Date}, ‘days’))) The FIND doesn’t work, and all fields where Submit Date is blank return Math Not Included, even if Math is part of the rollup field. Any ideas on a workaround for this? UPDATE: If I create a helper lookup column that includes ONLY “Math”, I can get the formula to work. However, with all the lesson types included, that would make my sheet much larger than it currently is.

Hi! I’m a beginner when it comes to Airtable and I want to sync or combine two of my different bases so that I have everything in one place. We have two separate brands that we promote on social media, but I’d like to have all of our content in one space. I’m currently using the free version of Airtable. I used the help article and got the information from one to the other, but when I go to the calendar view they’re still separate and I cannot see each of the posts I’ve planned for the different brands. I hope I’m explaining this well enough for someone to help. Basically, I want to see all posts in one calendar view. Let me know if anyone has a solution, I’d really appreciate it!

Hi, I have a conditional rollup where I am doing an Arrayunique of events that occurred in a specific Academic Year. If the array is empty (meaning, the event was not scheduled in said year), then I want the rollup field to say “Not Scheduled”. Is that possible? I currently am doing this by using the Rollup as a helper column, but would love it if I can do this all in one.

Hello, I am looking for a method/formula to calculate the total time allocated for products (for manufacturing) which have different components with pre-defined times. For instance, A product called “GS60” can be manufactured from one or mix of “RCBO+GPO”, “SA Meter”, “Modem” and so on. I have pre-defined time for each component such as “RCBO+GPO = 1h”, "SA Meter = 1:5h etc. Once I select the components from multiselect field, it should be calculated the total time for each product in “Total Time” field. Hi all! I’m looking for a solution in a switch formula, with nested if functions. I want to calculate a percentage & addition based fee that changes based on the category input. Also with possible caveats on how that fee is calculated based on the price of the item. I’m hoping this is possible. Example: If Category=A, multiply by 12% If Category=B, multiply by 9%, then add .50 If Category=C, AND the price is <$15, ADD $2, OR if Category=C, AND the price is >$14.99, multiply by 20% Right now I have a separate table linked to include all this info, but I would love to set up a formula to calculate all of this within the main table. I’m new to formulas, loving it but struggling a bit as well… I’m trying to automate a change in my records, from a phase of the process to the next, at a specific date using IF/AND. I created a fromnow field called “Calculation” and when it gets to 0 days, I would like to change my Phase en cours to the next phase. I’ve searched various threads for this answer and I’m still not sure if this is possible or not. I have Table 1 (let’s say) that has a formula field which constructs a url from another field and the record id. It looks like this With an automation I email this url (a form in another table - let’s sayTable 2) to potential respondents. Table 2 also has a field called “BD Link” which references Table 1. When a respondent submits the form, “BD Link” is never populated. Can someone point out what I’m doing incorrectly? Thanks!

Hi, Begginer here with formulas! I imported a lot of data into my database. In a column box, for example, I have up to 10 different data, all separated by semicolons. My goal is to multiselect them, but I was told that I had to substitute the semicolons for something else for it to work. I have tried the basic substitute formula, but clearly I am missing some information or understanding. Thank you very much for your help!

Hi. I use LinkedIn, and am interested in my SSI score (which LinkedIn automatically creates for you) - you can find it here: https://www.linkedin.com/sales/ssi. Basically, the more you use LinkedIn / engage with it, the better your SSI score. As you refresh this page every now and then, it shows you how your score has either gone up or gone down. So I wanted to create an Airtable web clipper so that I could capture my latest score whenever I visit the page, and write it to a table (so I can see a history of my SSI scores). I’ve set up a table to mimic all of the key fields on the SSI page, but am struggling to write the content (can’t find any good help online, and I’m not the most tech-savvy). I’m not sure how to set up the CSS selector to find the particular part of the page (the current SSI score - see screenshot). Objective: I want to return a number if a cell has a certain text in it and then multiply that number by another number to return a total value For example: If Content Type Column says TikTok then return number 30. However when I use the Switch function like this: SWITCH(({Select}), “UGC - TikTok”, “30”, “UGC - Review”, “25”, “UGC - How To”, “20” ) It shows a number but isn’t recognised as a number, therefore I am unable to multiply it against another column/variable to measure total cost. E.g. 30 * 5 (no of videos) = $150 [Content type cost] * [No of videos] = #ERROR! How to solve?
