I’ve searched various threads for this answer and I’m still not sure if this is possible or not. I have Table 1 (let’s say) that has a formula field which constructs a url from another field and the record id. It looks like this With an automation I email this url (a form in another table - let’s sayTable 2) to potential respondents. Table 2 also has a field called “BD Link” which references Table 1. When a respondent submits the form, “BD Link” is never populated. Can someone point out what I’m doing incorrectly? Thanks!

Hi, Begginer here with formulas! I imported a lot of data into my database. In a column box, for example, I have up to 10 different data, all separated by semicolons. My goal is to multiselect them, but I was told that I had to substitute the semicolons for something else for it to work. I have tried the basic substitute formula, but clearly I am missing some information or understanding. Thank you very much for your help!

Hi. I use LinkedIn, and am interested in my SSI score (which LinkedIn automatically creates for you) - you can find it here: https://www.linkedin.com/sales/ssi. Basically, the more you use LinkedIn / engage with it, the better your SSI score. As you refresh this page every now and then, it shows you how your score has either gone up or gone down. So I wanted to create an Airtable web clipper so that I could capture my latest score whenever I visit the page, and write it to a table (so I can see a history of my SSI scores). I’ve set up a table to mimic all of the key fields on the SSI page, but am struggling to write the content (can’t find any good help online, and I’m not the most tech-savvy). I’m not sure how to set up the CSS selector to find the particular part of the page (the current SSI score - see screenshot). Objective: I want to return a number if a cell has a certain text in it and then multiply that number by another number to return a total value For example: If Content Type Column says TikTok then return number 30. However when I use the Switch function like this: SWITCH(({Select}), “UGC - TikTok”, “30”, “UGC - Review”, “25”, “UGC - How To”, “20” ) It shows a number but isn’t recognised as a number, therefore I am unable to multiply it against another column/variable to measure total cost. E.g. 30 * 5 (no of videos) = $150 [Content type cost] * [No of videos] = #ERROR! How to solve?

Hi all. I’d like an automation so when two columns show specific criteria (e.g. KNOWN CLIENT and PRODUCTS) this creates an entry in a third column with “PRODUCTS NEWSLETTER”. I’d then like a further column showing when “PRODUCTS NEWSLETTER” was added (i.e. last modified). I need this as it’ll run a Zapier automation and input the customer data into Mailchimp. I had successfully created an AND formula but this didn’t seem to link to a ‘last modified’. I’m trying automation but I don’t understand the steps. Can anyone help? Thanks so much.

Hey everyone, Is it possible to move a record from one base to another with an automation? My organization organized projects in their own bases and each task gets assigned an owner. Ideally, I would like to be able to use an automation that is triggered by a task/owner assignment and places the task in the owner’s own base in order to create a “to-do list” of tasks aggregated from different project bases. Dear ones, I need help. I’m using a filter on another system that searches the result based on a certain date. If I inform the filter as follows. Date = “2021-06-25”, The expectation is that I would return all the rows that appear on this date, however filtering this way I have no return. If I use the Date filter >=“2021-06-25”. it works, but it brings me back not only the lines corresponding to that date but all the other dates ahead.

Hi folks I have two tables: One is called “Products” the other is called “Product Components”. As you can imagine there is a (1:N) link between them, so a Product can have multiple Components. Hi all. I have a base with 12 tables. I would like to create a table which will list links to all the other tables in the base, to ease navigation. I can get the View link but that opens up in a browser. Is there a way to create a link to a table that then goes to the referenced table within the desktop app? Thanks in advance. Shaun

I’m still pretty new to Airtable, and I’ve searched for this info to no avail. I’m trying to understand the core reason(s) for using multiple workspaces. In our business, we have multiple clients with very different setups and data. I need to be sure those streams don’t cross. If we can share the bases within the workspace without granting access to everything, is there a reason why I couldn’t use one workspace and build out a base for each client?

Hey, can anyone tell me if features available to upgraded users (Plus, Pro, etc.) will be visible to non-upgraded users in a certain workspace? For example, If a certain base contains Gantt charts, a pro feature, will a “free” user who the base is shared with be able to see or interact with the gantt chart? I am looking at to build a system which will allow me to keep track of the walkthrough I do with my teachers as a school principal. I have one tab with all the teachers, one tab with all the standards we are looking at. My goal is when I start a walkthrough would be to: Select the teacher Upload medias Add notes in 3 boxes: description fo the observation, area of strengths, suggestions Rate the selected standards (probably 5 maximum for one walkthrough), and add a note next to the rating What would be the best way to design this ? My issue is on the standard as for ONE ENTRY (one walkthrough for one teacher), I can see how to deal with the medias and the three notes, however I don’t see how I can select the standards I want to rate and rate them. If you have done think kind of design or you know a template that could inspire me, I would love to see it.

I am trying to figure out how to translate the in-airtable-ui filters into a filterByFormula method in the request via fetch. I can’t seem to find any docs and some related questions kind of seem like people are figuring these out somehow so I feel like I’m missing something. For my exact example, I’m trying to replicate "where fieldName contains string" in the Airtable UI. I’ve seen some conflicting opinions between using FIND and SEARCH, but neither have worked for me yet. I’m hoping to find something that outlines those available options, similar to how there examples for CURL (and an unofficial CodePen for generating them)

I’m building a research project library and I’d like to create a multiselect “see also” column at the end of each record where we could select any of the other records (projects) in the base for people to reference. Whenever a new project is added to the library I’d love for that project title (from the title column) to appear as an option in this multiselect list. I’ve seen how to link records from another table, but wondering if something like this is possible within the same table. Thanks!

Hello! Airtable noob here, we are just integrating the software into our company’s workflow. Is there a way to track or view all the times someone has been tagged as a collaborator, across all tables in a base? We currently have one table for projects and a linked table for tasks. I would like to be able to create a view where I can see all the projects AND tasks that I’ve been tagged in. Is this possible? Thanks!

Hello I would like to create a field where when data is imported into AirTable, that it would input the current month as written into a specific cell. like “7/1/2021”, for any entries entered in that month, I want this one cell to enter 7/1/2021, and not update any previously entered rows.

Hi, I currently have my IT-inventory in Airtable. I would like to upgrade this with a kind of lending/borrow system. Where the employee’s can scan a QR code and take the (monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc…) device and I know who took it. And when they afterwards return the device and scan again, it shows in Airtable that it’s returned. Is this possible in Airtable or is there something that already exists?

I’m working on a base that makes some currency calculations and I’ve noticed that when you have an amount that ends in a 0, e.g. £10.50, the zero at the end won’t show up in markdown that I’m using in automations. It will show as £10.5 instead. For any other amount that doesn’t end in a zero, you will get the two decimal places. The same happens whether it’s a formula field, a number field or a currency field. I could probably correct this with something like IF(RIGHT, 2=".", {Number} & “0”), i.e. add a zero when the second from right character is a decimal point, but that seems like an ugly way of doing things. Any advice?
