Hi all! I’ve been working on utilizing scripting within automations for a project. When a record in a table “MPList” is updated, I want to see if that record’s sort name matches any sort names in another table “memList”. If there is a match, I want the trigger record (from MPList) to be updated. I’m attaching my code below, and I think that one issue I’m running into may be with the input.config() process. The “toMatch” string in the test output window displays the ID, Name, and color for the text field it was pulled from. So, I’m not sure whether the Name of toMatch is correctly being tested for equality with the “Sort Name” field from the other sheet on line 9. let toMatch = input.config().toMatch; let mpList = base.getTable("Imported"); let memList = base.getTable("Members"); let query = await memList.selectRecordsAsync(); let result = false; let member = false; for (let record of query.records) { if (record.getCellValue("Sort Name") == toMatch) { await mpList.updateRec

Hi Team, Looking for some assistance on a formula. I want to know if the created date and time is within the last 12hrs. Thanks in advance!

Hello! Im trying to create an automated reminder - after setting a certain date record, a new field will be automatically filled with a date + 30 days Example: I filled the 1/1/21 in Date 1 - and I want Date 2 to be auto-populated with 1/2/21 Help please    Thank you! Liran

I need to calculate a number based on selected single select option in another field. For instance if the users chooses “Excellent” then the number should be 10, if the users chooses “Good”, then the number shoud be 7, if the users chooses “Fair”, then the number should 5, if the users chooses “Poor”, then the number should be 3, other wise it should be blank. It so that I can then tally the score of nine different fields for a total score. Suggestions?? Formula? I’m fairly new to Airtable and I’ve trid numerous formulas toget this to happen an so far have failed.

It appears that I’ve merged some records accidentally and lost data. Is there a way to undo this? I’m looking at the record history and don’t see the old information, unfortunately. In this screenshot, this record should have more than one hour of history. (Edited to remove identifying information)

I was looking at some of the third party apps in Marketplace and am a bit concerned about the apparent lack of support for privacy. When clicking to add any of the apps, there is a standard phrasing, which includes the name of the app: “Your use of the app is subject to [app provider]'s terms and conditions and privacy policy” Given that many of the apps don’t have a website (so the support link is to Airtable support), there is no privacy policy or terms and conditions. Even where there is a website (eg for miniExtensions) the privacy policy and terms and conditions on the website relate only to the website, and not the app. Are all of the 3rd party apps at our own risk, as it were? What checks do Airtable do on apps before they are added to the Marketplace? I’m thinking that this means my organisation won’t be able to use any non-Airtable provided apps…

I’m pretty sure that in the past there was an info icon next to the view name, which showed the view description when you hovered over it. That has gone. 2 days ago I had no way to view the description at all, unless I edited it. Today I can see the descriptin when I hover over the view name (info icon still gone), but the formatting is lost (no paragraph spacing) and it’s truncated: This isn’t great, as I was using the view description to provide summary instructions for users, to reminde them what they should be doing there. (And so they don’t need to refer to our documentation constantly.) Apologies if I’ve missed a ticket on this. I did search but couldn’t see anything.

Hi - I created a column with an IF statement that pulls phone numbers entered from a survey into the field IF we haven’t recorded the phone number ourselves manually (the survey column is called Phone Number and the manual column is Phone # to differentiate). The formula is IF({Phone Number}, {Phone Number}, {Phone #}) When the numbers are pulled, some of the formats are in the form that the client filled out XXX.XXX.XXXX but we want it in (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Is there a way to add formatting to the formula to force the phone number to be in the format we want?

Hi! In my base I have 3 fields where various dates are entered, based on when a client was contacted. Basically a first, second, and third touch point in communication. I have a fourth field that currently pulls the most recent date based on what’s entered in the other 3 columns. If only the first contact field has a date, then the most recent outreach is that date. If the second contact point has a date, then it assumes that date is most recent. Same with the third contact date… if anything is entered into that field, it assumes it’s the most recent. My issue is that sometimes, 6 months to a year down the road, the contact points may start over, and that first date may become the most recent date. (But because there are still dates entered into the other two fields, the 4th field assumes they are still the most recent, when they aren’t) Is there a way for it to calculate within the system which of the three dates is actually the most recent date? I hope that makes sense!

Hi, I’ve been playing around with Airtable and Integromat via Webhooks, and I was wondering if there was a way for two Airtable bases to communicate via webhook and scripts. Here’s the use case: A webhook trigger is set up in Base 1 in an automation. A record is created in Base 2. This triggers an automation to run a script, which posts to the webhook URL from the trigger in Base 1. The automation in Base 1 is triggered by the incoming webhook, and updates a corresponding record. I’ve used Integromat to trigger webhooks via automation scripts using the following code, but unfortunately it gives me an error when I try the same thing with an AT webhook url: let data = input.config(); let response = await fetch(`https://hook.integromat.com/******************************** ?id=${data.ID} &email=${data.Email} `); console.log(await response.text()); I’d appreciate any help or pointers on updating the script to work. I know that @Justin_Barrett, you’ve posted about this in a few topi

So I watched an excellent Youtube video and figured out how a user can edit table data with a form. However, I got the Record ID to prefill, but I can seem to get the others working. Here is the code. It’s a mess. Hard to write it in since a tiny box. CONCATENATE({Form URL},'?prefill_Parent%20Record%20ID=',{Record ID},'&prefill_Doll%20Complany=',{Doll Company},'&prefill_Company%20Logo=',{Company Logo},'&prefill_Country=',{Country},'&prefill_Status=',{Status},'&prefill_Doll%20Lines=',{Doll Lines},'&prefill_Sub%20Lines=',{Sub Lines},'&prefill_Resin%20Colors=',{Resin Colors},'&prefill_Will%20they%20custom%20color%20resin?=',{Will they custom color resin?},'&prefill_Official%20Webpage=',{Official Website},'&prefill_Official%20Taobao%20Store=',{Official Taobao Store},'&prefill_Official%20Measurements=',{Official Measurements},'&prefill_Skin%20Color%20Comparison=',{Skin Color Comparison},'&prefill_Notes=',{Notes}) Company Logo is an attach

I am researching on how to integrate our application with airtable base as a database. Any links to the api/ integration docs/guides on this would be helpful.

i started an app and try to show table fields in my app i used a code from guides as axemple, but when i request fields by their names it shows as undefined, but field record.id is displayed ok i have table with wields Title, Price etc, but only record.id have value in app, but in table all fields have value my code import { initializeBlock, useBase, useRecords, } from '@airtable/blocks/ui'; import React from 'react'; function HelloWorldApp() { // YOUR CODE GOES HERE const base = useBase(); const table = base.getTableByName('events'); const records = useRecords(table); const events = records.map(record => { return ( <div key={record.id}> {record.Price || 'not named record'} </div> ); }); return ( <div>{events}</div> ); } initializeBlock(() => <HelloWorldApp />);

Let’s say I had 400 records and I create two grid views. Will that count as 800 records?

After searching here and looking at the nested ifs reference, I believe I’m close, but not quite there. I want the formula to look at values in two fields (likelihood of a problem; severity of a problem) and return a third value (combined level) depending on the combination. A sample of part of it is below. Example formula so far: IF( AND({Likelihood} = “Improbable”, AND({Severity} = “Acceptable”)), “Low”, IF( AND({Likelihood} = “Improbable”, AND({Severity} = “Tolerable”)), “Medium”, IF( AND({Likelihood} = “Improbable”, AND({Severity} = “Undesirable”)), “Medium”, IF( AND({Likelihood} = “Improbable”, AND({Severity} = “Intolerable”)), “High” ) ) ) )

I’m pretty new to Airtable & formulas. Was hoping someone could help me find a solution to cleaning up data for a phone field. I’m pulling data from multiple sources and while most numbers are formatted consistently, there are a few outliers I want to be sure to account for. Most common format: Dirct: XXX-XXX-XXXX A decent number also have an extension on the end in the format of " ext. X" , which are always one character. Some other formats that throw things off: There are just a few that are entered as (XXX) XXX-XXXX A handful of others that are Cell: XXX-XXX-XXXX And a small percentage that include multiple phone numbers as Dirct: XXX-XXX-XXXX, Dirct: XXX-XXX-XXXX My goal: If there are two phone numbers listed, I’d like to move the second one into a new column for an additional phone field. My guess is to parse this by comma somehow, but again – new to Airtable and having trouble figuring this out! I’d also like to remove the cell: or dirct: in front of all numbers. They can rem

Hi This relates to this Topic This is the code I have: let repoT = base.getTable('Repo'); let sourceT = base.getTable('Source'); let record = await input.recordAsync('Pick a record', sourceT); // let name = record.getCellValue('Part 1') + '-' + record.getCellValue('Part 2'); if (!record.getCellValue('Repo')) { let name = record.getCellValue('Data'); // create the record in the repo table let newRepoRecord = await repoT.createRecordAsync({ 'Name': name }) // set variable for today's date let now = new Date().toLocaleDateString("en-GB"); //note that newRepoRecord is the record ID of the created record // see this by logging the result: console.log(newRepoRecord); // now take the newly created record ID // and set the linked field from this let updatedRecord = await sourceT.updateRecordAsync(record, { 'Repo': [{id: newRepoRecord}], 'Part Created': "Part Entered " + now }) } else { console.log("Repo

Hi, I want to know how to the change the avatar background color. As you can see in the attached screenshot, two of the collaborators have the same background color for their avatar icons. Apart from updating the picture, can I change the background color to differentiate them? Thank you. Victor

I have imported our Google Analytics data through AirFlow and would like to convert the Hour of Day to the correct format. The way GA has it formatted is “2021070100”, which is 7/1/2021 at 12:00 AM. Is there a formula I can use to get the desired outcome? Thanks!

Hello! I am using LEN({Long Text}) to count the number of characters in a text field. I also see how to use this to display a symbol depending on if its under or over: IF(LEN({Long Text})>280, “ :x: ”, “ :white_check_mark: ”) How do I combine these in one field? So it would show the character count, and also the symbol for over or under? Thanks for any help!

Hello! I’m looking to link my bases for an art history research project, and one of the ones that would be helpful is to make the life dates of the artists actual dates, instead of having them as a “Single Line of Text” category like I do now. The problem is I can’t figure out if it’s possible to include text like “ca.” (or “around”) to date fields. Do you have any suggestions? I suppose if someone lived in “the early 19th century,” I could put 1800–1850 as specific dates. The other issue is I just want years, not days and months. If I can figure out how to do all of this, I could make an interactive timeline showing the overlaps of artists’ lifetimes! That would be fantastic.

Hi All, I am trying to get a function to enter the current date when I change the status to done but I want the date to stay static and I cant figure out what date function to use for this. Here is what I have: IF(Status=“Done”, DATETIME_FORMAT(TODAY(),“DD/MM/YYYY”), BLANK()) Now when I changed one item to “Done” yesterday it put in yesterdays date but when I logged in today it had todays date instead. I figured this would happen but don’t know what to put where I have “TODAY()” to get this to work. Can anyone help me with this?

Hello there , Is there any way to create conditional select fields in airtable? I want to change select option values for one select field on the basis of another select field dynamically. For instance I have 3 dropdowns A, B and C . A has 10 values , If I select 1 value in A select field , B field should display content related to A field and similarly C field should display the content related to B field. Is it feasible in airtable .I have tried to use views to achieve this but there are a number of options related to each field , so it will be quite troublesome to create view for each possible combination. Is there any alternative that we can make use of to achieve the end result? This functionality is implemented in google sheets with the help of google scripts but I want to use airtable to manage my data. here is the link for google sheet functionality : Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software

Hi, I am planning to recommend Airtable to my client for the coming project. We have a few automation tasks which Airtable has been proved to be the best tool. While Airtable provides powerful automation/scripting abilities, I am wondering is it possible to access the webhook headers as well in addition to the body/payload. Thank you!

I’m still fairly new to scripting, and going through the learning process. I’m assuming the below error means that scripting can’t access the details that it needs to? Error N: Can’t set cell values: Field ‘Button’ is computed and cannot be set My example code below; let myTable = base.getTable("ButtonTable"); let myTabeQuery = await myTable.selectRecordsAsync(); for (let myRecord of myTabeQuery.records) { let getButton = myRecord.getCellValue('Button') console.log(getButton); let getSelect = myRecord.getCellValue('SingleSelect') console.log(getSelect); let newName = "💚"; await myTable.updateRecordAsync(myRecord,{Name:newName}); let newSelect = "💚"; await myTable.updateRecordAsync(myRecord,{"SingleSelect": {name:newSelect}}); let newButton = "On"; await myTable.updateRecordAsync(myRecord,{"Button": {Label:newButton}}); } Is there any method to update Labels?
