I have a small farm and use Airtable to track the animals. I have a table for their basic info (name, dob, etc), one for weights (used every time we weight them), one for any treatment(s) they get, and one to track breedings. I’d like to be able to have a view where I can pull up an animal by name, then see all the other associated records regarding it from the other tables. If I pull up animal “Bob,” I’d like to then see his weights and treatments in the same view (by most recent). I’ve tried searching these forums and the web to see if it’s possible, but have come up empty. This view would normally be used from a mobile device.

Hi. Would like to know is there a way to do automation so that I can count how many times I have checked a checkbox? :white_check_mark: The counter (or variable?) should increase by 1 every time I check a checkbox in the corresponding record. It should NOT decrease by 1 if the checkbox is unchecked. :white_medium_small_square: I need this function/automation because I have recurring tasks every week and want to count the times I completed the task. Also, I think there is currently no way to uncheck a checkbox by formula / automation. How can I make my weekly tasks show up to be unchecked when a new week starts? Thanks! P.S. I have tried this method: By automation, every time a record is checked (trigger), I create a new record in the ‘Script’ table. The record has my task’s ID as its name and the number (initially 0) copied from the triggering record field ‘counter’. Then, another action is modifying the triggering record by adding 1 to the Script record. But it seems doesn’t work

Hello there I would like to avoid user copy and paste in one of our tables. For this is have created a button and modified the excellent ‘copy values from one field to another’ script by @JonathanBowen to my needs. This works really well to copy a value from my source field to a target field, replacing the existing value in the target and leaving a create date in the source field. Now what I want to achieve is that that target field is a linked primary field in another table. At the moment users do this manually with copy and paste, but we do not want to introduce the idea of copy and paste as a function, a button would make this more elegant. The idea behind it is that we use one table to build a product by formula from other field values, so that we end up with a full parts code in one field (the source). I am building a simple daily task management automation. I want any task that was not Done to be forwarded to the next day at 3AM so when I start work I have all uncompleted tasks automatically in today’s task list. So far… Trigger When records matches conditions When Date is yesterday And Status is not Done Action Update record Record ID: Record (step 1 Trigger) | Field values | Date Fields: Date | Today() Also tried DATEADD( Date, 1, ‘days’) Trigger test ran successfiully. Is it possible to get visible fields for a chosen table and view? I checked the Airtable scripting documentation and I cannot find the property to check if a field is visible for that view

Hi! I’ve tried to read on my question since a lot of people also ask about it in the community but I’m still not very clear with the answer, so I will share my specific scenario to be sure. I’m setting up Airtable workspaces for a Company that will have 9 Pro users. By this, I initially assumed it would be $20/year per user. BUT… it got a little confusing with the different shared workspaces. So the 9 users are spread into 3 different departments: 3 users in HR, 3 users in IT, 3 users in Sales. Each team will have their own workspace. But there are some processes where the Sales Team needs to share certain Bases from their workspace to the 3 people in IT Team to complete a process. Does that mean, even though the 3 IT Team are already paid Pro users, there will be an additional $20*3 users for them to have Editor permissions in specific Sales Bases?

Hey all, I am trying to generate a date in a formula field by using the data from two other fields. -I need the formula to read the datum in the {End Date (Current)} field, determine if it’s blank and then if it is not. want it to then calculate the date based off ANOTHER field {Days Notice to Cancel}. And if it is blank I want it to say “1”. So far I feel like the below formulas need to communicate but I am not sure how to combine them to make them talk properly. (however, any suggestions are helpful, even a whole other formula combination). Hello wonderful Airtable community, I am working on an email automation that will report on student progress through a variety of courses. I have each course listed as a single-select field, then the possible grades listed as the options to select. I want to send an email report that shows these grades: Class 1: {GRADE} Class 2: {GRADE} My problem is that no matter what options I select when building the automation, the GRADE field shows up blank. I maxed out 500 fields. It’s disappointing cause I didn’t know about it or I missed it wherever it’s mentioned. At least the Account overview should warn me earlier I am maxing out the number of fields. It doesn’t say anything about that. Now I have to spent days and days to redesign the table, maybe weeks… I have lots of fields primarily because of many complex formulas I have. I rather do multiple steps with formulas so that it’s easier to fix them or update them, given how unhelpful the formula editor is in Airtable. Now I will have to fold many of these fields together to free some space. I have alone 30 fields taken up with formula to generate separate URLs for attachments in the attachment fields (Yes I know there is an addon)… and so on. If I sound a bit frustrated, yes I am. That’s SILLY this 500 fields limit. If it was 1000, fine. But I would have thought maybe 5000 or unlimited. I have lots of formulas and dozens of automations… It will take me weeks to fix this. I am trying to create a view based on rooms and multiple items within that room. Is there a way for me to just output the room number once at the top and then the related records for that room beneath? Currently, i have it grouped by room in view, and the records just show up in rows with the room number on each. Hello everyone! I’ve got several cols (days of the week) that have a time that I wasted in doing a task in minutes (ex: 120). All that I’m trying to do is a SUM of this minutes but in a h:mm format. Example: The task is “Book Design” and the minutes I’ve spent in doing that task are (120, 120, 60, 60, 30). The SUM of that minutes is 390… that’s 6:30 hours. All I want to have is this number 6 and I don’t know how to get it. Thanks in advance!

Hopefully this is a simple one and I explain this correctly: I have a table of products containing several fields, including: unique product ID and price. (Let’s call this the primary table) I am using the Data Fetcher Airtable app to pull updated product information from an API into a separate table in the same base. (Let’s call this the secondary table). This also contains a unique product ID and price I want to fetch the price in the secondary table and update the relevant price field in the primary table, using the product ID to ensure the correct item is updated. If these were two tabs in Excel, I would just use a vlookup to look up the id and return the price. However I can’t figure out how to get this to work in Airtable. Any advice much appreciated. For info - the two tables do have a name field, containing the name of the product, however the names in the primary & secondary tables don’t always match, so I cannot use this field to match an item. I have one table - ‘Feedback’ - where each row is a bit of customer feedback, and each bit of feedback has a column for ‘Insight’ (i.e. what type of problem it is) and another column for ‘CSAT score’ (ranging from 1-5). I have another table - ‘Insights’ - which lists all the insights from the feedback table in the first column (these are linked). What I want to do is calculate the average CSAT score for each insight. I have managed to create a new column in the insights table entitled ‘CSAT Score (from Feedback)’ which looks up the CSAT scores from the other table and presents them for each insight, separated by a comma. What I then want to do is create another column which averages these scores. However, when I used the formula average({CSAT Score (from Feedback)}, I get the error message shown below. I’m running a scripting app that loops through all the records in my Airtable using await table.updateRecordAsync() in a few fields, including a single-select field. Every once in a while, through human error or something else, we’ll wind up passing something to the script that makes it try to update the single-select field with some value that isn’t one of the options for that field. Right now what that does is cause the script to throw an error and abort entirely. What I’d like to do is have it throw an error message and continue on to the next record in the table. What’s the best way to go about this?
