Hi, all. I have a table that has a “Planting Date” for a vegetable field. This record is linked to another table that contains the number of growing days (ex: 90 days). I’d like to use a formula that would take the planting date plus the number of growing days (90) and give me an anticipated harvest date. What’s the right formula? By the way, each week has a different “grow days” associated with it so hard coding 90 days into the formula won’t work. Thanks, Paul

Hi I would like to be able to create multiple linked records in one “run”. I do a lot of videos for lectures and have a base has with a “productions” table and a “projects” table. I want to be able to add a button in the “projects” table that runs a script the script should ask me how many new records to create in the “productions” table. and then create the records linked to the project This would help me when 1 projects has 30 productions. And because a higher demand for remote learning I get many request for many videoes - so time saved on place it time used in another:) Thanks!

I couldn’t find any informations about extending the existing Metadata API in a way, so there would be a possibility to update the structure of the bases, fields and so on through the metadata API. I have a table that tracks every donation made to our charity, which includes the title of the fundraiser to where the funds were donated. This is triggered by each new donation. What I need to do is find a way to AUTOSUM the donations by the fundraiser title. The stick in my widget is that this number will be constantly updating as more donations come in. Currently, I can group by single select and see the AUTOSUM for each fundraiser. As new donations come in, this number automatically updates. Gorgeous. Since I need that number to use in other places, I’ll need that value to inhabit a single record. What I’ve tried to do is create a NEW table to do a ROLLUP. My issue with this is that I need to manually add each new donation to get an accurate snapshot of the current SUM. Since this value will be used in client-facing data, it has to be up to the minute. Hello When building a simple base of entities (Let’s say Peter, Paul & Jack), i add a column to indicate there’s a link between two (or more) of them. Doing this, i use a Link to another Record in the same base. So when i’m linking Paul to Peter, i see Peter in the “link” column of Paul. But no link appears with Paul appearing in the Peter entry. Is there a way to link two entries in a simple bidirectional way ? It sounds so pretty simple, i can’t believe i have to do it twice for each link between entries. Or should i use a graph tool instead of Airtable maybe for this kind of analysis ? Regards, A

Hey everyone, I have a Deadline column (date) and a “Urgency” column in a sheet. I want any row/item due in less than or equal to two days to be marked in other column as Urgent, and I want anything longer than that to be marked as Not Urgent. I’m guessing there’s a good formula for this, but I’ve poked around for a bit and haven’t been able to find one/do it myself. Any help is much appreciated!!!

Hello, I’m using WEEKDAY() to show me which day of the week (Jour (#)) an order came through. For some reason, the formula shows me this : Orders with different dates 15/04 and 14/04 shouldn’t show the same Day Number in Jour (#) which is where WEEKDAY() is applied. I know it’s related to the fact that these orders came between 00:00 and 02:00 am, tho I don’t know how to resolve this. Any idea ? Thanks

I’m hoping to get the first 9 characters of a record into another field. Id normally just make the field into a formula and use Left({product},9) but the rest of the automation wont run on the formula field. Please help.

I have 2 linked tables, CLIENTS and APPOINTMENTS, where I link an APPOINTMENT record to a CLIENT record, and can have multiple APPOINTMENTS linked to a single CLIENT record. Is there a way to sort the linked appointments in the client record? For instance, could I pull the next upcoming appointment from that linked field and put it in a separate [Next Appointment] field? Or, could I pull all past appointments to a [Client History] field? Am I thinking about this the wrong way, completely? Thanks.

I use the following request to get list of records by view. In this view, records are sorted by id DESC. Hi there! In the last 12 hours, the linked records in my base have suddenly and mysteriously changed! Please help! I run a diaper bank. We use AT to track requests for diapers by size. A text field tells us what size of diaper is being requested, and then, using a linked record field, we manually link it to another table that contains diaper sizes (diaper come in sizes Newborn, 1-7, and pullups). The text and links are easy to match. As of 12 hours ago, it looked like this: (*Note: in the image above, the record created on 9/3/2020 7:25am is wrong (5 and 7). I’m not sure if that was human error, or the beginning of my problems with AT linked records. Keep reading for the main problem.) However, this morning, the links for diaper sizes 5 and 6 went haywire. 5 turned into 6s, and 6s turned into pullups (which in the table we linked to, are called “T(Large)”. But now my problem is that all data is in one cell together but I want to have single records per collection item. Hello, I am trying to create a formula to return the category of my campaign based on the campaign name. For example, if my campaign is “Carlie Bookcase-Manual-Walmart” I want it to return “Bookcases”. I looked into nested IF formulas and FIND formulas and tried to combine them. I got it to work for 1 category using this: IF((FIND(“Desk”,{Campaign Name})),“Desk - Vanity”) But if I try to add more criteria for other categories my formula is invalid. I’ve been trying to figure out if I can create a formula around two date fields… The situation: Create a field with the possible outcomes as SOLD, PENDING, FIRM, CANCELLED depending on two date fields. SOLD if Today is before Signing Date PENDING if Today is currently equal to or after Signing Date and before Firm Date. FIRM if Today is equal to or after Firm Date CANCELLED (I have no clue how to incorporate this. Hello! I am trying to sync prices and stocks for several products between Google Sheets (source) and Airtable (destination). Thanks to other posts’ answers in this community I could make a script that updates products one by one. But I would like to reduce the number of requests by adding 10 products at a time on a single request. I tried several things but I cannot make it work.
