Hi there. Am wondering if it is possible to duplicate a table and then when I update the original table, the duplicated one is updated as well? I am trying to achieve a scenario where by I have a table holding all the master info for employees - including salary, contact details, etc but want to share a table just showing the contact details with the rest of the team. I’m hoping to get the first 9 characters of a record into another field. Id normally just make the field into a formula and use Left({product},9) but the rest of the automation wont run on the formula field. Please help.

I feel like this is an easy solution but I’ve hit a wall. I’m trying to get a %age. In my formula field I have {Actual Hours Worked}/{Max Capacity}. I have set the format to Percent. Somehow I’m still getting #Error! Any suggestions what I’m doing incorrect?

I have 2 linked tables, CLIENTS and APPOINTMENTS, where I link an APPOINTMENT record to a CLIENT record, and can have multiple APPOINTMENTS linked to a single CLIENT record. Is there a way to sort the linked appointments in the client record? For instance, could I pull the next upcoming appointment from that linked field and put it in a separate [Next Appointment] field? Or, could I pull all past appointments to a [Client History] field? Am I thinking about this the wrong way, completely? Thanks.

I use the following request to get list of records by view. In this view, records are sorted by id DESC. But the API returned list of records, which are sorted by id ASC https://api.airtable.com/v0/mybasekey/mytable?api_key=my_key&view=my_view This problem just happened in today. Hi there! In the last 12 hours, the linked records in my base have suddenly and mysteriously changed! Please help! I run a diaper bank. We use AT to track requests for diapers by size. A text field tells us what size of diaper is being requested, and then, using a linked record field, we manually link it to another table that contains diaper sizes (diaper come in sizes Newborn, 1-7, and pullups). The text and links are easy to match. As of 12 hours ago, it looked like this: (*Note: in the image above, the record created on 9/3/2020 7:25am is wrong (5 and 7). I’m not sure if that was human error, or the beginning of my problems with AT linked records. Keep reading for the main problem.) However, this morning, the links for diaper sizes 5 and 6 went haywire. 5 turned into 6s, and 6s turned into pullups (which in the table we linked to, are called “T(Large)”. The TRIM function doesn’t seem to work when referencing a Lookup field in a Linked Record. Every time I try to trim the data that’s passed from a lookup in a linked record, my formulas return #Error. Here’s the formula at fault: TRIM({AMID (from link)})&"-"&TRIM({AMID})

Hi Airtable Community. I’d like to create a medal tally for a school’s athletics meet where the results are counted by how many Gold, Silver and Bronze each school has. I’d like this medal tally to be automatically updated and sorted when I update an event table, e.g, if I update the winners for the table for 100m event by the school, the Medal Tally would automatically update.

Hej all, I am currently trying to automate a flow from Webflows CMS to Airtable. What I have done is to automate a zap that send the collection data to airtable every hour. But now my problem is that all data is in one cell together but I want to have single records per collection item. Hello, I am trying to create a formula to return the category of my campaign based on the campaign name. For example, if my campaign is “Carlie Bookcase-Manual-Walmart” I want it to return “Bookcases”. I looked into nested IF formulas and FIND formulas and tried to combine them. I got it to work for 1 category using this: IF((FIND(“Desk”,{Campaign Name})),“Desk - Vanity”) But if I try to add more criteria for other categories my formula is invalid. Here is the invalid formula: IF( (FIND(“Desk”,{Campaign Name})), "Desk - Vanity”, IF( (FIND("Dining”,{Campaign Name})), "Dining Tables”, ) )

I’ve been trying to figure out if I can create a formula around two date fields… The situation: Create a field with the possible outcomes as SOLD, PENDING, FIRM, CANCELLED depending on two date fields. SOLD if Today is before Signing Date PENDING if Today is currently equal to or after Signing Date and before Firm Date. FIRM if Today is equal to or after Firm Date CANCELLED (I have no clue how to incorporate this. Hello! I am trying to sync prices and stocks for several products between Google Sheets (source) and Airtable (destination). Thanks to other posts’ answers in this community I could make a script that updates products one by one. But I would like to reduce the number of requests by adding 10 products at a time on a single request. I tried several things but I cannot make it work. I guess it’s related to the way the script parses the data. Does anyone know what determines the order of records structured as milestones in the GANTT view? Right now, if two milestones have the same due date, one seems to arbitrarily stack on top of the other in the GANTT view. Does anyone know what dictates this order? Is it not possible to sort records in the GANTT view? Also - does critical path not highlight when GANTT views are organized with grouping? I can’t seem to get it to work when I group by project category and then by project.

Hello community! I am using an automation that triggers when an Airtable field is updated. The action is to update attendees field in an Outlook calendar but testing returns an error of ‘Cannot read property “timeZone” of undefined’. See image for what this looks like. Am I about to fall down the rabbit hole that is time zones in Airtable? Or am I just missing something obvious? Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi guys! I’m quite new to airtable and have no experience in writing strings. I have read the syntax page, but could not find out what i should do to get the desired outcome. I have a column with the name “Referral URL” In this column, urls will be entered trough zapier when a user submits his/her credentials. Something like this: “www.test123.nl/test-ebook-landingspage/?ref=xd3r4n” I have another column next to the “Referral URL” column which is called “Referral Code”. What i would like to do is, eliminate everything before “=” and place only the “xd3r4n” in the cells of the “Referral Code” > This should be automated en run everytime someones signs up Is there someone who has experience with this? My company helps provide aid to individuals in very life-threatening situations in other countries. Their personal identities and whereabouts are closely guarded for their safety. Each person is a record in our base. We would like to map out individuals by city in the Map App in order to help with basic logistical planning. My only question is: Does using the Map App (Google Geocoding API) enable Google access to any information in the Base/Table/View outside of the 2 columns (location-text column and Geocoding Cache column) required to set the Map App up??? Thanks for any insight into possible security issues implementing the Map App!

I’m creating a community-facing form where folks can click a button to open a client’s webpage - IF the client has a webpage. However, if they DON’T have a webpage, I’d love the button to not appear. As it is, it’s disabled, but is there a way to make the button disappear if conditions aren’t met? From the screenshot: The first entry lacks a checkbox or website. As such, I’d like that button to be invisible, as opposed to merely greyed out. The second entry has a true checkbox and a website, and the appearance of the button is fine. Any ideas?

I’m using Airtable to schedule event times and am trying to tie a few fields together with a formula but am having trouble getting the date to play along. Right now I have a project name field and then multiple events within a project over a few dates/times. So for example, I’d like to have: Project 1 - 4/10 2:00pm Project 1 - 4/10 4:30pm Project 1 - 4/10 7:00pm I have a relevant date/time field, but then when I use a formula to include that field in a name, it formats it in a way I do not want. When I use datetime_format, it’s in the wrong time zone (I think) and I can’t change it in the formula formatting. This is what I’m using: {Project}&" - "&DATETIME_FORMAT({Start Date Time},‘M-DD-YY h-mm’)

Hi! There is probably a very simple solution to this, but I’m trying to create a field that shows information from EITHER of two other fields - whichever one happens to be populated. My issue is that they are both calculated number fields, so I’m getting zeros instead of blanks. Example: of Jars (SOUP A) = 3 of Jars (SOUP B) = 0 Ideally Field C should just be “3” but instead I end up getting “30” because I don’t know the proper “IF” formula to wrap into it. Here is my current formula: CONCATENATE({# of Jars (A)},{# of Jars (B)}) Any assistance would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I want to be able to send HTML emails to my contacts in Airtable. I’ve used the SendGrid app, but it only sends text emails. I’ve tried Zapier to integrate Airtable with Mailjet. The problem is it needs a “trigger,” and I want to sent out general emails (newsletters) without a trigger, just whenever I need to send them. Any suggestions? Is this something that a knowledgeable API person would be able to configure? I’m willing to pay someone to do it. Thank you.
