Hello everyone, I need help with my problem. I haven’t found a solution so far. I have an airtable where we include currency rates. Those are in this format #.##### (always five digits after the decimal point) I’m using this formula to switch the decimal point to comma to convert the number to EU standard: SUBSTITUTE(CONCATENATE({currency rate},""),".",",") This works fine so far, unless there is a number like this: How it should look like: 0,02580 What it looks like: 0,0258 The formula omits the final 0 I tried using VALUE to change it to a number field to use “formatting”, but this made things worse. It turns the number into “258”. Any idea how to fix this? Kind regards, Heike

Hi, I have a field which is a formula field for a due date group. I have 'due tomorrow set to → DATETIME_DIFF({Due},TODAY(),‘days’)=1, “ :yellow_circle: Due Tomorrow” But screenshot shows ‘due tomorrow’ for things which are actually due 2 days from now (today is 21st), not tomorrow. I assume its a timezone issue? But not sure what I need to change to fix? Or maybe I have done something else wrong? ?

:wave: Hello Airtable community! Here’s my use case: I have a table Items where each items has a price and a date period. Given their period of validity, I can or cannot add the item to an invoice. Example: I can add item A anytime in the year as its validity starts 01/01 and ends on 12/31. Item B however is only available from 03/01 to 03/31. I have a second table Invoices where each invoice covers a period of time, from a start date to an end date. Example: For customer A, I issue invoice #1 starting at 01/01 and ending at 02/15 and invoice B starting at 02/16 and ending at 04/30. For customer B, I only issue invoice #3 which starts at 02/15 and ends at 03/15. I am trying to create a formula to return the difference in time between two dates in terms of the number of months and number of days. For example, being age “8 months 3 days.” This is the formula I came up with so far, but this direction doesn’t get me an accurate return since not every month has exactly 30 days in it: (DATETIME_DIFF({DATE},‘2 Feb 2020’,‘M’)) & " mos " & ((DATETIME_DIFF({DATE},‘2 Feb 2020’, ‘d’))-(DATETIME_DIFF({DATE},‘2 Feb 2020’, ‘M’))*30) & " days " Any ideas? I am trying to add conditions to my nested IF statement, but somehow it’s not working. I want to extract musical key information from the end of file names. The information I am trying to extract is marked bold. The musical key information can either be 1 or 2 digits (G or G1), or 7-8 digits (C SHARP or C1 SHARP), or 6-7 digits (B FLAT or B1 FLAT). Hello, I have a problem with a SUBSTITUTE formula. I have a text field that contains two consecutive spaces between two words. I want to SUBSTITUTE these 2 spaces by nothing ("") but the formula doesn’t work because airtable consider these 2 spaces as infinite number of spaces. I know it because I tried to apply on this field a substitute 3 spaces by “X” formula and the output was first_word+space+X+second_word Something weirder: if I copy the output of my formula and paste it somewhere else, the space is not present… But it is problematic to me because I want to compare the output of my formula with another field in airtable …

Not sure if I’m missing something obvious, but was wondering why is Airscript.dev listed with the anchor of “airscript tutorials” in the scripting app (Documentation tab, item #4 of “Other Resources”). The site itself says it is neither endorsed nor owned by Airtable. A forum search yields two topics from the apparent owner of the domain, both of which are self-promotions and don’t explain the link. I understand the half a dozen or so marketplace scripts come from third parties but is the scripting app itself not owned by Airtable? Just to be clear, the site is a pretty decent resource but I’m amazed a company with a ten-figure valuation like Airtable would promote anyone for free. And that particular link has some pretty insane promotional value in terms of domain authority juice from Google.

I am trying to figure out how to have two columns in some sort of table or report where one is drawn from one table and another is matched according to an aggregate on another table. In SQL, this would roughly look like SELECT a.name, a.target, sum(b.value) FROM TAB1 a, TAB2 b WHERE a.name = b.name GROUP BY a.name Here, unique names occur once in a but many times in b so that many rows of b match to each row of a. I want to show a message if a number field is blank. 0 is a valid, non-blank entry. I’m using the formula IF({Number}=BLANK(),"Blank","Not Blank") where {Number} is an integer. What I’m seeing is that blank values and 0 values are treated the same in this formula. That is, the formula field shows “Blank” for both empty values and 0 values. I would expect this to show “Not Blank” for 0 values. Conditional formatting will highlight only the empty values, which is what I would expect. So the concept exists. Is there something missing or is this a bug? Any workarounds?

I came across an issue recently where a linked record column in table ‘A’ without the option to allow multiple linked records, still contained some records with multiple links to records in table ‘B’. Upon researching the matter it turns out that when you duplicate a record in table ‘B’ it duplicates the entire record including the column tracking the reverse link to records in table ‘A’ and therefore causing the record in table ‘A’ to now contain a second link to the newly created record. I understand why this is happening, as duplicating the record in its entirety includes the linked records column, however i am not sure this is the correct behavior, certainly if it violates a constraint added in another table

Hi, first of all new here :grinning: I’ve searched in the comunity and nothing really answers my question I have a formula DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD({Data Pagamento 1},{Produção Dias},‘days’),‘DD/MM/YYYY’) When I go to calendar I cannot select that field. Am I doing something wrong? I also thought of the possibility that the fact of being a “formula field” does not let the app recognize it as date, even though it is. So I thought a work around that I don’t know how to apply Create a second “date field” which value is equal to the formula. I thought maybe with … automation? :roll_eyes: I tried but I wasn’t able to find such function. “Date Field” = “Formula Field” Thanks Juan

If I set a field to be required AND only visible under a specific condition and that condition is not met, will it stop the form from submitting because a hidden field is set as required? It sounds stupid, but I literally ran into this only a couple months ago elsewhere with a form builder product that will go unnamed… but it wasn’t smart enough or well engineered enough to know that if a field is hidden, it shouldn’t be required unless it is visible no matter what. So then it would output a validation error telling people “You need to fill in field XXXXX” and they can’t see the field or even know it exists. Super poor UX there. I could probably test this and find out but I figure I’ll ask here in case there’s something functional I may be overlooking or additional info.

I am trying to search for records in Airtable from Integromat and unable to figure out how. I have created a scenario where I get a unique id to be searched for in Airtable via a webhook. After linking the webhook to Airtable, I selected the option “Search records”. There is a field called “Formula” and I am not able to figure out what it means.

Hello, I have an issue which I will try to explain through the following screenshots: THE SET UP I have have a 3 Field (Column) Table with the following fields: (Name, Company and Re-Orientation Status) The AUTOMATION - Trigger Condition The trigger: When Re-Orientation Status is Overdue The PROBLEM When I test the trigger, only 1 record is found; however, the table above clearly shows that more than 1 record meets the trigger condition. Please advise on why this happens. Is there any way to fix this?

This may sound like a silly question but is there a shortcut to enter a new record? I have tables that are sometimes hundreds of records long and don’t want to scroll to the bottom just to click the plus sign to add a new record. Also trying to avoid using the context menu to insert a new row. Is there no quick add button anywhere at the top or did I miss it somewhere?

Hello, I’m a new user and looking to set up a quick questionnaire. I discovered pretty quickly that there are character limits on the Single Select Field option which is causing parts of the options to be cut off. I saw references to using Linked Records to get around the character limits, but I’m struggling to see how exactly to do that. Is there a tutorial that I can follow to see how this is done? Hi there! Is there a formula for isolating the last available single-select from each group? I’m looking to only show the Shows that are marked as On-Air but also only want to see their currently airing season. I have a single-select for On-Air or Off-Air, and a single-select field for Seasons, but let’s say Jersey Shore has 6, and Teen Mom has 10 seasons, I only want to see Season 6 of Jersey Shore and Season 10 of Teen Mom. We have set up several calendars for various streams. Now we would like to create a new ‘mothership calendar’ to be able to view all the events in the individual calendars in one place. Is there a way to do this without having to link to each event?

I’ve built a formula that shows a Status in my Task field based on how many Sub-Tasks are complete: IF({Sub-Tasks Complete} = 0, “ :radio_button: Not Yet Started”, IF({Sub-Tasks Complete} = {# of Sub-Tasks}, “ :white_check_mark: Complete”, “ :orange_circle: Working On It”)) For some of my Tasks there is only one Sub-Task. When one of my teammates moves the Sub-Task into the “Working On It” status, I would like the status in the Task field to say, “Working On It.” Not sure how to change my formula to do that. Hi All, Looking for some guidance as I’m well outside my basic scripting depth. Use case: I have a table of applicants each linked to a group. The groups are listed out in another table and then all the group’s applicants linked in the “group members” field. Each applicant has a field that I would like to compile into a list and email or display with markdown formatting. The goal is that I have a button on the Groups table that allows a user to “generate list” which outputs or emails them the formatted list of the 5-6 group members that can then be copied into an email. Where I’m stuck is I am able to get as far as building an array of the ids for the linked applicants, but don’t know how to then use that array to retrieve the individual field values for each applicant from the applicants table.
