Hi, community! It`s my first time writing a formula and I need your help! I’d like to create a formula to represent a due date ocurring ‘today’, a due data ocurring ‘this week’ and a due date ocurring this month. I tried to create that formula combining an IF function and a DATEADD function. Airtable keeps informing the formula is invalid. What’s is the correct way to write that? I thought the following formula was ok, but Airtable says it’s wrong IF({Due Date} = TODAY (), “Today”, IF ({Due Date} = DATEADD (TODAY() , 7, ‘days’), “This week”, IF({Due Date} = DATEADD (TODAY(), 30, ‘days’), “This month” ) ) ) The formula is wrong and I don’t know how to fix it. I tried several variations and all of them are wrong as well. Could you please help me solve this? P.S: The table is written in Portuguese. Hello! I help run https://vacfind.org, a COVID vaccine information site that stores links to helpful websites in Airtable. Given the recent Airtable downtime, I was wondering if it would be possible to have a simple /ping endpoint (or similar) added to the API so that I can configure our caching server to use this endpoint to check whether Airtable is up and if not, configure itself to serve requests from the cache. Does something like this already exist in the Airtable API that I’m not already seeing? ideally id like to not have to configure auth to make a request just to figure out if the Airtable API is up (200 OK) or not (503 Service Unavailable). I have a base with several tables of school programs that students can sign up for through a Jotform. I do not want to merge these tables into one because each program has various data/fields that are unique to it. However, there are a set of fields that are the same, such as those concerning student personal info (email address, phone number, address, etc.). I would like a single script that can do some processing on such fields that are named the same across multiple tables using buttons. In scripting, typically I set the table explicitly via something like let table = base.getTable(“Table Name”); I am wondering if there is any way I can either: Get the table that a button was pressed in or Get the table that a record exists in I know I can make multiple copies of a script and just change the base.getTable() part, but I’d rather keep this as a single script that works on multiple tables. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi, I hope this is an easy to answer question; sorry for the density of my skull! I’m building a content scheduler for my editorial team; some stories are immediately assigned a publication date, but for others that field is still blank/TBD. As a result, when you view the list of stories sorted by PUB DATE, all the undated ones appear first – which is undesirable. To avoid that, I created a new field (PUB-DATE-Fx) with a formula that converts the PUB DATE into an IF statement, thus: IF({PUB DATE} = BLANK(), “UNSCHEDULED”, {PUB DATE}) Now, when I sort the the stories by PUB-DATE-Fx, the undated stories come at the end, under “Unscheduled.” Wonderful! But it also creates ugliness: when I sort the stories by PUB-DATE-Fx, the date now appears as an string of digits (2021-03-09T00:00:00.000Z) instead of something recognizable (March 9, 2021) Is there an easy way to tweak the formula so it renders a date that’s more user-friendly? I am looking for any documentation on integrating ClickFunnels with Airtable. I have a very simple 2 column Table - Email and a String of Data I can make Get, Post, Purge to work in Postman, but I was told all I need to do is grab the JS out of the API docs and paste it into a CF HTML element. This throws a ‘require not defined error’ My research has lead me to believe I need to use NodeJS or NPM or both, but to be honest I have never worked with either… Is there any documentation on how to get this running?

I’m an Airtable noob with what I hope is an easy-to-answer questions for someone (unlike me) who knows what they’re doing. I’m building a content scheduler for my editorial team; it includes a view of stories sorted by week. To do that, I created a field (WEEK) containing a concatenation formula built around the story’s expected publication date (PUB DATE): CONCATENATE(“Week of”," ",DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD({PUB DATE},-DATETIME_FORMAT({PUB DATE},‘e’),‘days’),‘M/D’)) That works great for those stories with an assigned PUB DATE, sorting them under “Week of 2/14” or “Week of 3/23” or whatever. But some stories don’t have a pub date assigned yet, and those date fields are blank. Here my formula fails, filing those stories under "Week of “#ERROR” How do I get rid of the #ERROR ? Seems like I need to combine concatenate with some sort of IF statement, but that’s beyond my brainpower. Any ideas? No doubt there’s a much simpler way to do this. Thanks!

Hi there, I work for a prison education nonprofit that works with people facing federal crimes. We want to be able to send legal updates and resources to graduates of our classes, and use Airtable to track those graduates. We want to keep our records updated as to when graduates of our classes are transferred to a new federal prison, had their release date changed, or been released. Anyone incarcerated in federal prison is given a register number. You can use that number to get release date and location data from this API. We’ve been using a combination of Python scripts to do this but it’s been clunky and buggy because I’m not that great at Python (frankly I’m not that great at coding, period, but I’m learning). I think we can do this more efficiently with a script in Airtable. Here’s the one catch: every once in a while, someone puts in the wrong register number for our graduates. Is there a way to show values returned from an API side by side with the current values in the Airtable

I’m having trouble prefill-ing a “checkbox” field. I’ve followed the guide on the support forum (I’m not allowed to link it here for some reason) and everything works, except for my checkbox field. I’ve tried “1” “true” “checked” (which is stored in the table/grid view tied to this form). None of these work. What is the proper value to pass in URL parameter to have this field “checked” on load?

Hi all! I’m trying to add the functionality to my airtable wherein a viewer/editor can add a note to an existing entry without having to type over the entry. Ideally, this would function like a digital sticky note, so I can view the comment, but it doesn’t impact the structure of the airtable itself. Does anyone know if that’s possible? My database has run well for 3 months but now I need to change the discount structure. I have added a Column and called it Qtr and each record will be either 1,2,3,or 4 the idea being that the discount offered for that Qtr could be different. I have zapier adding records to my Airtable but I have no idea when the record is added. Is there a way to have a date column that automatically adds a date to the record when it’s added?

I am hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. I think REGEX_EXTRACT and SUBSTITUTE are the right way to go here. I have titles that all have the word “BPM” followed by a space towards the end. I want to extract everything to the right of "BPM " (and the space). Examples of the titles I am working with: DAM301_203 PULSE WITH SYNTH 80 BPM A FLAT what I’d like to extract is “A FLAT” DAM100_001 PULSE DEEP END 105 BPM F SHARP what I’d like to extract is “F SHARP” DAM201_400 PULSE TICKING CLOCK 125 BPM C what I’d like to extract is “C” So I am thinking I need to “substitute/extract” everything up to and including "BMP ", and I should end up with what I’d like to keep, regardless of length. Is my thinking correct? If yes, how would I do that? I have not managed to come up with a regular expression that captures what I"d like to capture. Thank you so much in advance.

The CSV Import app will merge records from a CSV file with existing matching records and create new records in the target table. As far as I know, it’s not possible to merge/update only without adding new records. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I am not sure if this is even possible - I have a table that has 3 name fields - {Name 1}, {Name 2} and {Name 3}. A formula field {All Names} combines the content of all 3 name fields separated by commas. I am using this formula: IF({Name 3}, ({Name 1} & ', ’ & {Name 2} & ', ’ & {Name 3}), IF({Name 2}, ({Name 1} & ', ’ & {Name 2}), IF({Name 1},{Name 1} ))) Is there a way to have the name “ENDING” always be at the end of the string, regardless of the name field it was entered in? So in my example, the second row would read: “Michael, ENDING”. If this can’t be done in one formula, maybe a second formula field can re-arrange the order. The name “ENDING” will be consistent across the table. I can of course make sure that “ENDING” is always the last name to appear in any of the 3 name fields. What I’d like to do is make sure that it is indeed always the final entry in the combined string, regardless of what users enter where. Thank you so much for pointing me in the

In my example, the fields “Name” and “Code” should start with the exact same 10 digits. I’d like to create a formula that compares the first 10 digits of both fields and displays a message if they match. Since the content of the “Name” field gets entered independently from the “Code” field, I’d like to use this formula as a way to check for errors. I started with the following formula: IF( AND( REGEX_MATCH(Name,’\w{10}\b’), REGEX_MATCH(Code,’\w{10}\b’) ), ‘Codes Match!’,’’) I am realizing now, this formula only looks for 10 digits, regardless of content. Not good. How do I specify that the first 10 digits of both fields have to be identical to display a positive result? Is using LEFT(Name,10) and LEFT(Code,10) the right way to go? If yes, how would I work them into a formula? I can’t seem to figure that out. Thank you in advance!

Hi, First issue I have linked a ‘products’ table and an ‘orders’ table. The products table lists the items but some of the items have multiple choices (such as colours, sizes and finishes). When the product is selected in the orders table, the options are grouped together and not selectable (i.e. it is a mirror of the original contents rather than a dropdown which is unique to the entry on the orders table and doesn’t change the main products data). I want to be able to select the specific options for each product on the orders table without having to create multiple products based on colours, sizes and finishes. I suspect it’s a formula or other method rather than just linking but I haven’t been able to find an answer online (as there are too many solutions for linking and I’m probably using the wrong terminology for my issue). I’d like it to cover the 3 fields I have (all checkboxes) so when a team is done providing a component of copy, they check the box and the status appears. Field 1: Copy Requested Checkbox Field 2: Ready for QA Checkbox Field 3: QA Approved Checkbox Hoping the formula can mirror this: IF Copy Requested is checked then the Status is Copy Requested IF Ready For QA is checked then the Status is Ready for QA IF QA Approved is checked then the Status is QA Approved I have it figured out with just one field in the formula, but to add multiple is where I’m getting stuck. Hello, I’m building a table to track sales and inventory. Each product has a number of components, and sales/resupplies impact the total inventory of components. For instance chair 1 = 1 wood structure + 1 leather canvas chair 2 = 1 wood structure + 1 velvet canvas So a product can have multiple components, and a single component can be found in different products. I think this qualifies as a many to many relationship, as explained by the airtable guide. I built a quick prototype, and managed to do so without using a junction table, and it seems to work just fine. Why is that? Hi, I have been having troubles with the ‘rollup’ field function. Every time I use it, it gives me this error message: Sorry, there was a problem saving this field. Invalid formula. Please check your formula text. Some context: As you can see, the field all the way to the right is linked with the other table: The second table is a feed of forms being submitted. In those forms being submitted, I want the “flight time” (duration field) to add up to the Flight time field in the first base, which is not working due to the formula being ‘invalid’. Here they are: There will be a mentor request form that is sent out to all users in our community asking them to select an available mentor from a dropdown list. available means that the mentor has less than 2 mentor requests in the current month We would then keep track of mentor requests and close them as they get done How would one go about setting this up?
