I am comfortable creating and linking bases, but I really need help inside my grid view for 1 item, I just need to understand how to create a formula that will auto-populate if one of my users has been assigned an item, this formula column should have 4 different selections either checked-out, available, damaged or lost. Could someone please help me? PS, I have been using the Filter options and another view meanwhile to display what I need, but I need this to not be having to change my database to check-out or damaged after every new user assignment.

Hello! Excuse me if there is an easy solution for this. I would like to be able to auto-populate my “price for ad” field based on my single select column “ad size.” There are 31 different selections and 31 different prices. Do I need to write a formula for each selection and the price, or is there an easier way to accomplish this? The formula that I am trying is: IF({Ad Size}=“10x10 PBPost”,1108.50) I’m having no trouble with the formula running, but it is not returning any values to the formula column.

Hi all, I’d like to know if there is a way in a Scripting app to check if the script was called from the click of a button in a column or via the Run button on the Script app itself. My use case is that we ideally want one script that can be used either for a single record (the button column scenario) or an array of records (which we would fetch & manage in the script itself). Basically the first if statement in the script would check this, and then the code would branch accordingly. I’m not sure what I’m doing with remoteFetchAsync, but when I make the same API call in Postman I get a response with the list of warehouses. When I do it in Airtable I just get a status. What can I do to get the response back?

Have a table I create records with using a form - since this morning after airtable was down I still haven’t been able to upload attachments. Have tried multiple browsers, iOS, have even tried uploading straight to airtable. Wheel just sits there and spins saying upload. Any ideas? Haven’t had any issues with my tables thus far until this morning. Thanks

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if I can create a formula that gives me a certain number of months ahead instead of changing the filter from a certain date to date each month, sometimes we miss it, so I want to set up the filter to read from the formula I want the formula to read from my ( Release Date ), this exiting month and 2 months ahead like give me Feb, March, and April as true, so when I tell the filter to give only what is “true,” it will give me those 3 months, and it will automatically drop one and add another each beginning of a new month. Hello, I have a script that is intended to copy a set of predefined task records whenever a new project is created. The problem I am running into is with the multiple-select columns. I want to create an airtable column that will say Yes if two other columns are identical, say No of those other columns are not identical, and say N/A if one of the columns is empty. Is there a way to do this? For example: Column A says Cow Column B says Cow So conditionally formatted Column C says Yes Column A says Cow Column B says Duck So conditionally formatted Column C says No Column A says A Column B is blank So conditionally formatted Column C says N/A I’ll take any solution, doesn’t have to be conditional formatting. I’m new to Airtable, but have extensive experience in SQL databases. I could do something like the following in Access, but I want to make this database cloud native. Any assistance would be appreciated. I’m working with a consulting firm that has ~50 consultants who relate to one or more legal affiliates of the firm through independent contractor agreements (ICA). Each ICA formally connects one of our legal affiliates with an “external entity” (an LLC, a sole proprietorship, etc.) to which a consultant belongs. Each consultant may have one or more external entities that they are themselves connected to. I have built my base like this: I want to be able to create a Consultant view (ideally a card/grid-view) that would show me the consultant’s information and a list of all the agreements that are related to him/her through the external entity table. However, I can only figure out how to display data that is from the directly related table “Consultant/Entity Relationships”.

I have a base that I’m using to track projects, which have a start date and an end date. Sometimes those projects get modified for a variety of reasons with one of those reasons sometimes being that the end date gets extended. We track all modifications in a separate modifications table that gets linked to the original project. We want to be able to dynamically display the new project end date by referencing all mods and returning the latest date. To do that, I have set up a Rollup Field linked to the Modifications table that returns the maximum value: MAX(values) But if there are no modifications, that Rollup Field will be empty, which won’t work. So, after reading the forums, I created a formula field date with the following logic: IF({Rollup Project End Date}>{End Date}, {Rollup Project End Date},{End Date}) It appears to work at first, but upon closer inspection, the date getting returned in that formula field is one day earlier than it should be. Hi guys, We have multiple servers with remote desktop access, and we’re using them on a daily basis. The current solution is a sheet with the server IP, username, and password. As you can imagine, it makes it very difficult and inefficient to search the relevant server, insert its address and credentials, and log in. In order to solve this problem, I’ve started to read and look for a solution. The first and easy-to-implement solution I’ve found is to create an “RDP” (Remote Desktop Protocol) file, with the relevant credentials - and connect directly to the server without the need of adding credentials each time. Still, from what I’ve seen - you can’t create a hyperlink to this file, either locally or on the web. So, I’m looking for a creative way to add a column to my table with a direct link to each server. Hello! Hoping I could get some advice on a formula field that accepts my formula but the cells won’t return any data (not even an #error message). Maybe it’s a bug…? Since I’m dealing with multiple formula fields, lookups and a Rollup result that is being fed back to the original table, I’m thinking it’s an issue with Airtable recognizing the data…Any workarounds or syntax advice? Hi! I’m trying to create a formula that would display a “week of” for a given date where Monday is the start date of the week. The below is the formula I came across on Airtable’s blog - it works great except it displays the start of the week’s date beginning with Sunday. My formula expertise is very limited so there might be a very simple solution to this - I just can’t seem to find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’m currently using the following formula for tracking Project Health: IF({FOC (Current)}<TODAY(),“LATE!”,“ON TARGET”) however there are times when the “FOC (Current)” date field is appropriately blank. Right now it’s labeling it as “Late” but I need it to show “No FOC” instead. If FOC (Current) is < today = “LATE” If FOC (Current) is =/> today = “On Target” If FOC (Current) is blank = “No FOC” I can’t seem to make the multi-IF’s to work. Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to rename a step in automation or to give it a pseudonym? This would be very handy for future editing. You could see what each block does, or is supposed to do and save you time from opening it and looking into what it does. It can still hold its original name, but can it have a label or something, saying finds record from such and such or calculates the average… Cheers

Hi. I’ve combined two tables into one but when I sort by any of the single text it sorts into two A-Z lists one after the other. This happens when I sort cells with numbers or with letters. I’ve checked and can’t see any leading spaces in either list (although may be checking for these wrong - I’ve been clicking into a cell and scrolling to the start to make sure the first character is a letter and not a space). Any other thoughts?

What I am trying to do is use 2 nested if statements to check if 2 variables are blank (A and B). If A isn’t blank it will post A, but if A is blank it will then check to see if if B is blank and if B isn’t blank it will post B. But if B is blank as well it will post the safety string C. I thought below would work but its not working. A and B are cells and C is a string that I have as a safety net. IF({A} =BLANK(),IF({B}=BLANK(),“C”,B),A) Any help would be great thanks!

Hello, Currently I have a Pro Plan with only 1 billable collaborator and I need to transfer the ownership to another user. But my concern is to follow these FAQ instructions (How can I transfer ownership of a base or workspace to another user? – Airtable Support) and being charged for adding a new billable collaborator. Is there a way of replacing the owner without being charged for a second one, since I have to add the new owner before I remove the other?

My problem is that want to remove a month on my date formula which is : UPPER((DATETIME_FORMAT({Date}), “MMMM”)) So my result looks like this “FEBRUARY” but i want my result to be -1 month so if the date is FEBRUARY, i want it to be JANUARY. I don’t know how to do that can somebody help me ? :thinking:

I am currently working on setting up a time sheet on one of my bases. I am having an issue with a formula to ID my entries. I am trying to Concatenate the date, name of person, and total worked time all in one. I have the date and name figured out but I can’t get the total worked time to format in anything but seconds. CONCATENATE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Start Time},‘l’), " - ", Who, " - ",{Total Hrs}) {Total Hrs} is currently this formula, DATETIME_DIFF({End Time},{Start Time}), which is fine because I can change the field to be a duration. I have explored the community but haven’t been able to find a solution. Thanks in advance for your help!
