I’m currently using the following formula for tracking Project Health: IF({FOC (Current)}<TODAY(),“LATE!”,“ON TARGET”) however there are times when the “FOC (Current)” date field is appropriately blank. Right now it’s labeling it as “Late” but I need it to show “No FOC” instead. If FOC (Current) is < today = “LATE” If FOC (Current) is =/> today = “On Target” If FOC (Current) is blank = “No FOC” I can’t seem to make the multi-IF’s to work. Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to rename a step in automation or to give it a pseudonym? This would be very handy for future editing. You could see what each block does, or is supposed to do and save you time from opening it and looking into what it does. It can still hold its original name, but can it have a label or something, saying finds record from such and such or calculates the average… Cheers

Hi. I’ve combined two tables into one but when I sort by any of the single text it sorts into two A-Z lists one after the other. This happens when I sort cells with numbers or with letters. I’ve checked and can’t see any leading spaces in either list (although may be checking for these wrong - I’ve been clicking into a cell and scrolling to the start to make sure the first character is a letter and not a space). Any other thoughts?

Hi, just started out on here so please excuse if this is an old topic! I would like to see the autonumber on a form so that when an operative places an order from the form template he is able to provide the supplier with the number. Is this possible or is there another way around this? Many thanks

What I am trying to do is use 2 nested if statements to check if 2 variables are blank (A and B). If A isn’t blank it will post A, but if A is blank it will then check to see if if B is blank and if B isn’t blank it will post B. But if B is blank as well it will post the safety string C. I thought below would work but its not working. A and B are cells and C is a string that I have as a safety net. IF({A} =BLANK(),IF({B}=BLANK(),“C”,B),A) Any help would be great thanks!

Hello, Currently I have a Pro Plan with only 1 billable collaborator and I need to transfer the ownership to another user. But my concern is to follow these FAQ instructions (How can I transfer ownership of a base or workspace to another user? – Airtable Support) and being charged for adding a new billable collaborator. Is there a way of replacing the owner without being charged for a second one, since I have to add the new owner before I remove the other?

Hey there, I have a question: When I open a record through clicking on it in a linked record field, what determines the order and visibility of fields that I see on the record? I often see fields that aren’t helpful for me, and I wonder: what do I have to do to make sure that certain fields are visible and appear at the top of the record? Thank you!

My problem is that want to remove a month on my date formula which is : UPPER((DATETIME_FORMAT({Date}), “MMMM”)) So my result looks like this “FEBRUARY” but i want my result to be -1 month so if the date is FEBRUARY, i want it to be JANUARY. I don’t know how to do that can somebody help me ? :thinking:

I am currently working on setting up a time sheet on one of my bases. I am having an issue with a formula to ID my entries. I am trying to Concatenate the date, name of person, and total worked time all in one. I have the date and name figured out but I can’t get the total worked time to format in anything but seconds. CONCATENATE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Start Time},‘l’), " - ", Who, " - ",{Total Hrs}) {Total Hrs} is currently this formula, DATETIME_DIFF({End Time},{Start Time}), which is fine because I can change the field to be a duration. I have explored the community but haven’t been able to find a solution. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi there, I’m trying to debug an issue with the Airtable automation, but don’t know how to re-test the trigger as the instructions indicate (see image below). Apparently Airtable cannot email non-collaborators on my current billing plan, but the email recipient is the owner of the base, so I guess it’s a level up of a collaborator. What’s could be wrong with this automation? I’ve tested with other email records and it worked perfectly. Can anybody help? Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Community! I’m working on a table that allows my company to easily track and time rental property application processing times. Fields I have are listed below: Unrelated fields are hidden. We want {Hand Over Timer} to start timing once a record gets updated to “Processing”. We don’t want to track time over weekends. For this, we decided to implement the help of the WORKDAY_DIFF() function. The problem is, this works horribly when time is involved. I’m building a custom app and need to show an attachment’s thumbnail image as part of an info card. When I enter <div>{record.getCellValue("Attachment field")}</div> to view the cell values, I get the following error: Error: Objects are not valid as a React child (found: object with keys {linkedRecordId, value}). If you meant to render a collection of children, use an array instead. I’ve tried adding record.getCellValue("Attachment field").fields.url but it comes up as undefined. I’ve also tried {record.map(value => {value.url})} to try access the object’s properties but map is not a function of record. How can I access the thumbnail’s URL?

Is it possible to only have a month and year in the date field. Ex: 07/2021. One step further, a range of only MM/YYYY-MM/YYYY. Ex: 07/2020-06/2021

Hello, i need help with integrating with asana. I have set it up using integromat successfully to update a task, mark it as complete/incomplete or create a new task. Now, i would like to create a option whereby, i could delete an asana task when the record that created it in the first place is deleted in the airtable. The flow would that i created a record, which in turn created a task in asana. Now, for any reason, if a delete the record, i would like the task to be deleted as well. I need help with the filter specifically how could integromat recognize the task that should be deleted. Kindly guide.

I am trying to write multiple new records to a table. The docs suggest doing this like so: table.createRecordsAsync([{'My field name': '1'}, {'My field name': '2'}, {'My field name': '3'}]); In my code I have the following test: table.createRecordsAsync([{ 'Name': "Dave"}, { 'Name': "Sam"}]) But I get the below error: invalid record format. please define field mappings using 'fields' key for each record definition object As a check, I also attempted to write a single row, like so: table.createRecordAsync({ 'Name': "Dave"}) And this worked fine. I also attempted this: table.createRecordsAsync([{ 'Name': "Dave"}]) And I got the same error as before. So it seems to be something about the createRecordsAsync method and passing an array. Any ideas?

Hi all, Hope you’re doing well. I’m asking the community about a strategic choice I’m about to make. We are handeling Client Missions through Airtable. We did automate most of our process with Zapier, like sending e-mails. Right now, we only have 1 Client Langage, and 2 differents type of products. Each product and lang will result in a quiet different mail template. For now, I was using Paths in Zapier. However, we’re going to scale to 3 langages, and maybe up to 4 or 5 products, therefore I may have up to 15 differents mail templates. Zapier Paths seem not appropriate at all, without considering maintenance costs… I’m about to change the strategy to conditionally format e-mails templates directly in Airtable in a Formula Field. As far as I can tell, the Batch Update app uses the React Select library to handle input components for single-select and multi-select fields (both “regular” and “collaborator” types). Can the source code for the Batch Update app be made public so other developers can replicate the appearance already used in a “standard” Airtable app? As it stands, the Select component provided in the Airtable SDK isn’t quite sufficient for multiselect fields.

Hello all, I’m a no-code programmer (if that’s even possible) so for everything I do I look for a similar example and I copy and adapt. I’m trying to make a script where after pressing a button the user is asked for a couple of values to be updated in that record. I’m not able to find any script example where it automatically selects the record which button was pressed, and I always see something like this: const record = await input.recordAsync(“Pick a record”, table); Where user has to find and choose again the record to be updated. Kia ora! I’m setting up an automation that watches one table for new records, and updates records in a second table with the information from the first. The specific use case is clients being able to update their personal information. This is done via a form in the first table with a range of optional fields - with the aim being that clients can only fill out what needs updating and leave the rest. However, when updating records in the second table based on these entries in the first, any empty fields in a record in the first table wipes the data from those fields in the second. Is there a way to leave fields alone if the fields in the new record are empty?

Hi all, I’m literally just starting out, but trying to make my primary field choose the correct investor (either personal or corporate). Is there a way to make this work in something like this format: IF( {Company Name}!=BLANK(), {Company Name}) ELSE( {Last Name}) The first part of the string works, but I can’t get the second part to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Connected typeform to airtable through a zapier integration. Text data, single select options work and is moved. Problem is the uploaded image / attachment from typeform comes up empty in my airtable. Anybody with the same problem?
