Hi, I’d like to rebound on a question by @Javier_Growth_Lab which has not been solved and the topic closed. I have set an automation to send a mail to my base collaborators. It works for all of them but one, The email is correct and is associated to my collaborator’s account. I did not set any address restrictions and he otherwise can perfectly interact with and edit the base. So I am a bit lost, I’ve tried the automations step by step and it works for other users, but for that one collaborator, the run fail message reports that I can’t email non-collaborators - but he is indeed a collaborator. In the documentation for the NOW() function it states that: If the base is closed, it will update approximately every hour only when the base has time-dependent automation triggers or actions, or sync dependencies. I have a Zapier process that polls a view, does this count as a sync dependency? The formula i’m using calculates whether the value in a date field is greater than the current datetime, and if it is it will appear in the View that Zapier is watching. It’s important that the formula is calculated 24/7 and not just when the base is open.

I’m trying to use Airtable Automations to an update to a single select field that I use for status on my records. I cannot see a way to tell my automation to change the value in this field to one of the pre-defined possible values for my status field, so I tell it to just use the name of one of my values. The Automation then creates an entirely new status for my single select filed, with that name, so I wind up with a duplicate value in my single select field, and the record status is set to that duplicate value with an identical name, rather than to my desired value. This means that my downstream automations triggered from that desired status do not fire, because the record is set to some new status which is completely separate, even though it has the same name. How can I make my automation update the single select field value to one of my predefined possible values?

I am using python to run sum calculations and data summaries at various sub-groupings. This is being done using python pandas and the data format is a dataframe. I have to convert this dataframe to a list according to the airtable python wrapper documentation, which I have used before, just not the dataframe part. After converting to a list, I am getting this error requests.exceptions.HTTPError: (‘422 Client Error: Unprocessable Entity for url: https://api.airtable.com/v0/appQzuUudoe2rSAR0/Test-2’, “422 Client Error: Unprocessable Entity for url: https://api.airtable.com/v0/appQzuUudoe2rSAR0/Test-2 [Error: {‘type’: ‘INVALID_REQUEST_BODY’, ‘message’: ‘Could not parse request body’}]”) is anyone familiar with this any why it is happening?

Hi, Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. I’ve got a table with 3 fields: Customer (Single Line Text) Interests (Multiple Select Field) VTS (Formula Field) and I’m trying to get the VTS field to populate with the Customer Code if “VTS” has been selected in the Interests field. I used the formula IF({Interests} = “VTS”, {Customer}) Screenshot 2021-02-13 231010|700x490 and it returned a result when “VTS” was the only item selected in the Interests field, but not when more than one option had been selected. I’m assuming it’s the equals sign that needs editing, but I’m not sure what I need to replace it with. Any help would be much appreciated.

What I am trying to accomplish is: If the rate is HOURLY, calculate date/time difference for # of hours If the rate is DAILY, calculate date/time difference for # of days if the rate is TOTAL, calculate the rate X 1 Any help or suggestions would be awesome!

Hello, I need help trying to figure out this formula. I have spent the last three days looking through the community and I believe this is the closest article I can find, (Formula Help! IF AND + checkboxes) but I still can’t seem to get this working. I originally created an IF statement based on blank fields. The purpose was based on keeping track of our workflow. Now, we have the need to added other “flags” that I will need to change the formula to "Done! " without completing all the steps from the original IF statement. The first flag is a “Canceled” Checkbox. If the checkbox is checked I need the status to change to “Done !” regardless of other fields are still blank. The second is new additions of two extra fields added to the Single Select field in the Shipping Method. If the option of “Picked Up” or “Dropped Off” is selected, I would need the Status to change to “Done”, without having to select a date for the “Delivered” Column. Hello, I am not sure how to word this and did not find any topics that matched what I wanted to achieve, so I wanted to ask if this is possible. We track all of our orders within one table. Each order has a unique name. That name comes from a ticketing system. (Example REQ0000001) We have a team of about five people who pick these orders to ship off to customers. I am often asked what is on the order because sometimes all the fields don’t populate correctly on the ticketing system. What I am trying to achieve is a self-serve user portal, where the team can type the request number and they are shown the line items of the order. I guess like the opposite of a form entry, but instead a record lookup. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am guessing, I might have to use a third-party app to achieve this.

Perhaps I am just completely missing something but I have been attempting to set up an automated outlook email to send certain notifications to some of our customers. Most of the formatting I have been able to find in the link provided in the automation on Airtable’s markdown syntax. The only thing I am struggling with is line breaks. The documentation states that “Every line break will be treated as a hard line break”. When I test out the email by sending it to myself, I notice, that everything, regardless of how many line breaks I manually put in to the preview, comes out with only a single line break. Example: In the example above, ideally, there would be an extra space / line break between the statement above it and the word “Sincerely” itself. Hi there, I recognize the power of regex expressions, but I’m just pathetic at composing them, so I’m reaching out for help from someone who actually understands the syntax. I have a table in which all entries contain a URL with this structure: https://scholarship.ode.state.oh.us/Student/Home/Details/555555?stdntID=444444 From record to record, only two components of the URL change: The number immediately following Details/ (i.e. 555555) The number immediately following stdntID= (i.e. 444444) I need to write two formulas, one for each of the components named above, to extract these unique numbers. HI All I am wanting to have a trigger set for a reminder to follow up on a job/task, eg; when something is urgent i want it flag me every day, important every 3 days, general every 7 days, once i have followed up and changed the dates of last follow up. I can’t seem to get the trigger to work when i’m trying to set up in automations.

In the MP IMU% field I have this formula: IF({MP ICOGS},SUM({MP IGP} / {MP ICOGS})) My question is how do I change my formula to return a value in the MP IMU% field that is not a negative percentage? The true answer is 281.34% - I’m beyond stumped??? :woozy_face:

I am comfortable creating and linking bases, but I really need help inside my grid view for 1 item, I just need to understand how to create a formula that will auto-populate if one of my users has been assigned an item, this formula column should have 4 different selections either checked-out, available, damaged or lost. Could someone please help me? PS, I have been using the Filter options and another view meanwhile to display what I need, but I need this to not be having to change my database to check-out or damaged after every new user assignment.

Hello! Excuse me if there is an easy solution for this. I would like to be able to auto-populate my “price for ad” field based on my single select column “ad size.” There are 31 different selections and 31 different prices. Do I need to write a formula for each selection and the price, or is there an easier way to accomplish this? The formula that I am trying is: IF({Ad Size}=“10x10 PBPost”,1108.50) I’m having no trouble with the formula running, but it is not returning any values to the formula column.

Hi all, I’d like to know if there is a way in a Scripting app to check if the script was called from the click of a button in a column or via the Run button on the Script app itself. My use case is that we ideally want one script that can be used either for a single record (the button column scenario) or an array of records (which we would fetch & manage in the script itself). Basically the first if statement in the script would check this, and then the code would branch accordingly. I’m not sure what I’m doing with remoteFetchAsync, but when I make the same API call in Postman I get a response with the list of warehouses. When I do it in Airtable I just get a status. What can I do to get the response back?

Have a table I create records with using a form - since this morning after airtable was down I still haven’t been able to upload attachments. Have tried multiple browsers, iOS, have even tried uploading straight to airtable. Wheel just sits there and spins saying upload. Any ideas? Haven’t had any issues with my tables thus far until this morning. Thanks

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if I can create a formula that gives me a certain number of months ahead instead of changing the filter from a certain date to date each month, sometimes we miss it, so I want to set up the filter to read from the formula I want the formula to read from my ( Release Date ), this exiting month and 2 months ahead like give me Feb, March, and April as true, so when I tell the filter to give only what is “true,” it will give me those 3 months, and it will automatically drop one and add another each beginning of a new month. I want to create an airtable column that will say Yes if two other columns are identical, say No of those other columns are not identical, and say N/A if one of the columns is empty. Is there a way to do this? For example: Column A says Cow Column B says Cow So conditionally formatted Column C says Yes Column A says Cow Column B says Duck So conditionally formatted Column C says No Column A says A Column B is blank So conditionally formatted Column C says N/A I’ll take any solution, doesn’t have to be conditional formatting. I’m new to Airtable, but have extensive experience in SQL databases. I could do something like the following in Access, but I want to make this database cloud native. Any assistance would be appreciated. I’m working with a consulting firm that has ~50 consultants who relate to one or more legal affiliates of the firm through independent contractor agreements (ICA). Each ICA formally connects one of our legal affiliates with an “external entity” (an LLC, a sole proprietorship, etc.) to which a consultant belongs. Each consultant may have one or more external entities that they are themselves connected to. I have built my base like this: I want to be able to create a Consultant view (ideally a card/grid-view) that would show me the consultant’s information and a list of all the agreements that are related to him/her through the external entity table. However, I can only figure out how to display data that is from the directly related table “Consultant/Entity Relationships”.

I have a base that I’m using to track projects, which have a start date and an end date. Sometimes those projects get modified for a variety of reasons with one of those reasons sometimes being that the end date gets extended. We track all modifications in a separate modifications table that gets linked to the original project. We want to be able to dynamically display the new project end date by referencing all mods and returning the latest date. To do that, I have set up a Rollup Field linked to the Modifications table that returns the maximum value: MAX(values) But if there are no modifications, that Rollup Field will be empty, which won’t work. So, after reading the forums, I created a formula field date with the following logic: IF({Rollup Project End Date}>{End Date}, {Rollup Project End Date},{End Date}) It appears to work at first, but upon closer inspection, the date getting returned in that formula field is one day earlier than it should be.
