Hi all, I’m at my wits end. I’ve written code for Airtable locally, which largely works. Now I’d like to place the code on a cloud functions tool so I can run my code on the browser and have it communicate with other APIs. I really, really wish there was a better chat function for individual records other than the activity screen. This would be solved if I, as an administrator, could turn on and off who gets an email when someone comments in the Activity. But we have content that can be touched by multiple different people, sometimes over months, and the folks who discuss it at the beginning don’t always need to get pinged when someone else is discussing it weeks or months later. The rest of my office are reluctant users, so being able to remove any barriers or extra work is essential to getting them to engage with it more fully.

Hi all, I’m working as a lean consultant. Helping teams to reach their business goals. I currently experiment with a system that uses excel and trello but they are not connected. I believe airtable could solve this. The solution would be a great product that could help 1000’s of teams all around the world. So I have a vision. I have a mvp. I just need help to get it working in a lo code to like airtable. Could anyone help me with further resources? I’m trying to calculate and then visualize Net Promoter Score (NPS) from a table of evaluation scores submitted through a form. NPS = (% promoters - % detractors) / total number respondents Where: promoter values = 9-10 detractor values = 1-6 total respondents = 1-10 I’m new to Vega and got stuck pretty quickly. I’m pretty sure I need to do a calculate transform step, but not sure how to assign e.g. “promoter” to values of 9 and 10. Is binning the approach, or is there some conditional logic that could work? I’m interested in ways to do this without Vega as well, but I like not having to add extra fields to my table if it is possible to do the calculation within the app module. Hi all, I’m facing the following challenge: I have a table with a list of Product items (Catalog), to simplify the question I have 3 columns: Product name | Product ID | Sizes e.g. Red Tshirt | 14828 | S,M,L or Blue boots | 5423 | 8,9,10,11,12 I need to take a single row and duplicate it & split it per each size as the following: This original row: Red Tshirt | 14828 | S,M,L Should become this: Red Tshirt | 14828 | S Red Tshirt | 14828 | M Red Tshirt | 14828 | L (So all the other columns have the same values) Has any 1 ever encountered something like this? Uncaught (in promise) Error: Can't create table: invalid field config for field 'games_id'. Creating or updating options for multipleRecordLinks fields is not supported at this time. Is there any other mechanism or workaround for this? When creating a table, or updating a table?

I have a “Created Time” field which I am trying to use to trigger automations. When I test the trigger, it says it was successful but is only finding 1 record when there should be many. I’ve tried setting different conditions, but no matter how I set them, the automation is not capturing the correct records. Am I missing something?

Hi, new to Airtable, so this may be a dumb question; apologies in advance if so. Is there a way to dynamically update single select field options from an API? For example, looking to have a list of item types to select for a record, ex: Server, Workstation, Switch This master list is contained in another system but accessible via rest API. Is there a way so that in the far end system, if “Router” is added as an item option, the Airtable option list for that field will now contain “Server, Workstation, Switch, Router”?

Hi everyone, I’m unable to get a DATETIME_DIFF formula to work the way I want it to. Basically, I have a Status field as a single select as follows: My goal is to have a column that shows me the number of Days since a record was created. When I use the DATETIME_DIFF by itself, it works just fine as below, showing 0 days However, what I want to do is to show this only when the Status column is not equal to complete. So I’m trying to wrap my DATETIME_DIFF as the true result when the Status != “Complete”. But this doesn’t work. When I set the status to complete, I get the false result of the IF formula, which is “Complete”, so that part works fine. But when I change the status to anything other than “Complete”, the formula shows me a blank. I can’t figure out why this isn’t working. I tried swapping the IF formula for a SWITCH, but I have the same issue. The DATETIME_DIFF doesn’t show a result. Is it possible to use more than a single logical operator for filtering results? So far, I see there is only the option to filter based on the AND logical operator or the OR logical operator. Is it possible to combine these? For example: WHERE (“Status” contains “active” AND “Due Date” is within “1 month”) OR (“Status” contains “started” AND “Due Date” is “empty”) Otherwise, I need two separate filters and cannot see projects side-by-side easily.

Hi, So I have my formula calculating the 90-day deadline from the start date. DATEADD({Start},90,‘day’) But I want it to only calculate IF there is a date in the start column. Currently, if there is no date in the start column it produces a #error, however, ideally I’d like to set the formula so that the deadline is blank until the actual start date has been entered. Hello, We are looking for a solution to convert a single image (company logo) to get a url. We import the CSV to Webflow but we can only import an image with a url. The ultimate goal is to automatize with Integromat so when clients fill the form and upload their logo, the table is updated and all the info are sent to Webflow. I have the feeling that I’m missing something very simple but I don’t see where. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi everyone - I’m a total beginner to Node js but it’s very frustrating, that after hours of searching on Airtable Docs as well as through the community, I can’t seem to find the answer to one of the most basic things a user would want to do with a database. In short - I’m trying to do a lookup. Given a “phone number” of “(454) 382-9029”, I want to return the “Full Name” of “Carol Lerner”. I want Airtable to access the right record and the code to print the “Full Name”. In Excel this takes 2 seconds to do. I’m at a loss why this has been so difficult to find code for on Airtable Docs or Community on Node js. I know that I’m a beginner. I’m not sure why it’s so difficult to see how to do something like this. My code won’t really be of much help here as I keep getting errors when I try to run it. I keep getting closer to remembering the difference between a spreadsheet and AirTable, but I have a Base design that is just eluding me. Initially I have a 2 table Base that need to be linked. Table 1 has a list of people in my organization along with critical information. The primary field will obviously be the members name (we are small enough that I am not concerned with duplicates, or can handle them if necessary). Table 2 will be continuously built through form input by the organization members. Primary field will be a date/time stamp as that is really the only unique identifier on this Table. I want to link the two tables through the name field, but I am not sure the best way to do it, particularly since there may be some mismatch between the name in Table 1, and the name entered on the form for Table 2. I was originally considering having people entering First Name and Last Name, and then using concatenate to join them, but I couldn’t find a way to have a field be both a linked

In [Workers] I have a rollup field called {Lowest_rating} which uses the Min() formula to return the lowest number a worker has in [Worker Interactions]. FWIW, the field in [Worker Interactions] that is being rolled-up is a number field. Where the worker has no rating yet, the rollup returns a “0”. I find this to be visually confusing. Is there anyway in the rollup to return the cell empty rather than a zero? Photos below. thanks!

Is there a way to tell table.updateRecordAsync what field to update with a variable? I have a table that tracks the date a person receives multiple trainings. Each training has a date field. I’m able to hard code the field in table.updateRecordAsync, but I haven’t figured out a way to do it with a variable, even a string type variable. This would allow me to have one script where one could select the training to update, rather than a script for each training. Here is my code: await recordTable.updateRecordAsync(record,{ '*INSERT VARIABLE HERE': date }); I also tried using the usual javascript way of inserting variables into strings like this: await recordTable.updateRecordAsync(record,{ `${fieldString}`: date }); This just gives me lots of errors.

I am trying to import a Google Sheet containing ~500 rows of data into Airtable. Airtable successfully detects the data, including the column labels, but after I confirm and press the “Import” button, it always throws this error. How can I fix this?

Is there a way to have a user input a date in a script? I have a button that adds today’s date, but I’d like to give an option to add a custom date, just like in a date field. Text input seems kinda iffy.

A simple DATEADD is changing time. SET_TIMEZONE(DATEADD(date,moredays,'days'),'America/New_York') If it is because of daylight savings, does airtable recognize that and have a ‘fix’?

I want to track Companies, People, and date each person is hired. In a relational database I would use a “join table” to handle the many-to-many relationship and would include a “HiredDate” field in this join table. AirTable makes many-to-many relationships easy, but then no easy way to track hire date for each person at each company. This seems like such a common use case (companies/people, products/customers, students/classes). What am I missing? Thanks!

I’m trying to create a formula that can search a column that contains multiple text dates and return only the earliest date. I feel like I must be missing something very simple, but I have a grid view with an Email Address column, and it is sorted by that column and only that column. For the most part it looks fine, but Email Address ‘psmith82…’ is sorting ahead of ‘psmith11…’. Anyone else noticed anything like this, or have any suggestions? Thanks!

It would be really useful to be able to set confirmButtonDisabled and cancelButtonDisabled (both booleans) to diable the respective buttonts on the ConfirmationDialog component.
