I’m trying to use data from a lookup field in a formula and keep getting #ERROR!. The formula (below) works with a plain text field created to test, but not the lookup field. IF({CITIZEN SLACKIDS}=BLANK(),’’, ‘<@’ & SUBSTITUTE(VALUE({CITIZEN SLACKIDS}),’, ', ‘>, <@’) & ‘>’) I’ve tried wrapping the lookup field in VALUE () to no avail.

Hello, I’m trying to create a formula to give a certain status to a record when 2 criteria are met. This is my attempt but I get the status “Onvolledig” in every cell although there are cases where the result should be “Volledig”: IF(AND({Betaalopdracht} = 1,({Huurders} = ‘’)), “Volledig”, “Onvolledig”) Field {Betaalopdracht} is a Checkbox. Field {Huurders} is a linked record => so if the checkbox is ticked AND {Huurders} is not empty, then I would like to get the status “Volledig”. Thanks in advance for the help! Hey! I’m trying to send an array of customer data to an API webhook on a external service (e.g. Sendgrid/Zapier), using a POST request in a scripting block. Using the basic fetch() function, CORS is preventing it to work. Using a CORS proxy like https://cors-anywhere.herokuapp.com/ isn’t an option because I don’t want to send sensitive data through this service. What’s the best way to fix this? Best Dominik

I have a table with a list of employees.I have another table of projects and roles that the employee may be assigned to, for example in the project table we have a column for PM, Co-PM, Lead Analyst, Analyst 1, Analyst 2. I want to count the number of times each employee is assigned a role in the projects table. In Excel and Google it is a simple =COUNTIF(‘Project’!$P$2:$V$87,A1), where column A is the employee column in the employee table, but there is no COUNTIF function in Airtable… I have also noticed that for every link I have made to the employee table I get a column in the employee table called “Project” or “Project 2” or “Project 3” and each cell has the Project ID from the Project Table. I have tried to make a formula column called “Workload” and use the formula COUNT({Project},{Project 2},{Project 3},{Project 4},{Project 5},{Project 6},{Project 7}) However this returns 0, because the links are not numeric references they are text references.Using COUNTA just counts the num

I’ve seen versions of this post, but not this specific issue, and I can’t ever get Airtable support to answer my help requests so putting it out there to see if anyone has a fix! In the “Next Renewal Date Calc” field, I want to add 90 days to the adjacent date in the “Current Period Start Date” field, but only if there is data in that record. Otherwise, I’d like the “Next Renewal Date Calc” field to be blank. However - it appears I’ve got one of two options. Don’t do an if / then statement, just do a date add formula in Next Renewal Date Calc, and then it shows an error in the records that don’t have an adjacent Current Period Start. However, it shows the date formatted for human eyeballs. Write an if / then statement, which returns data as expected, leaving dates only in the fields with an adjacent Current Period Start date. Good day all! New Airtable user here. I’m experimenting with Airtable Pro to gain some functionality over Google Calendar for planning complex jobs across multiple manufacturing departments within our facility. I’m using it as a glorified calendar and I’m trying to get over a couple hurdles I cannot figure out. I need to export about 12 different Google Calendars into Airtable, which I’m able to do by exporting each Calendar as an .ics file, and importing that file into Airtable. Here’s where I run into two MAJOR hurdles. I need to be sure I maintain the NAME of each Google Calendar as it’s imported into Airtable, into a field titled “Department”. For example, I have a Google Calendar named “Material Arrival”, and I have a department in the drop-down menu titled the same. However, when I import the .ics file, I do not get an option to map the Google Calendar’s name to any field. Nor do I seem to have an easy option to automatically set the Airtable field to say “Material Arrival” f

Morning all. I have a base I’m working on that calculates overtime, It also compares the overtime shift worked to an employee’s scheduled shift. I have a set of DURATION fields for each employee - Mon Start, Mon End, Tues Start, Tues End… for all 7 days of the week. Based on the day of the week our OT shift works, it shows the appropriate day’s shift. I’m pulling the start date of an event from one table (Overtime Events), the employee’s normal shift from another table (Employee Data), and the calculation is in a 3rd table (OT Shift Data). I’m trying to concatenate the DATE ONLY from when an overtime shift begins, and the DURATION field from the employee’s info, to create one date field I can use for other calculations. None of the date/time formulas seem to give me the results I’m looking for. Can anyone please offer any advice?

I am trying to push multiple values in a look-up table at once to a single update field. So far I am filtering the record, finding the IDs of the values in one of the values. Pulling out specific ones and then I am not sure what to do to update multiple values inside of a new field with a look-up table. Note, I didn’t copy and paste properly. I have a Scenes Table with records listing each scene (Scene Name) to be shot for a video (Video Title). Once the Scene Names are all listed they go to a Shots Table where shots for each scene are created. In the Shots Table each record is based on the Shot Number. I have a checkbox field (Shot?) that I check when that shot has been filmed. Filmed scenes get sent to an Archive View when that checkbox field is checked. What I’d like is an automation that checks my (Shot?) field in the Scenes Table when all shots for that scene have been checked in the Shots Table and entered the Archive view. For example, in the screenshot below when the shots listed in the (Shots) field enter the Archive view in the Shots Table the (Shot?) checkbox gets checked. If a trigger tied to ALL shots entering Shots Table archive view is problematic, I’d settle for when any shot enters the archive view for a scene, it triggers the checkbox for that scene in the Scenes Table. Hi, I’d like to have a view that shows only the records that are created when a form is filled out and then sent. I sometimes add records mannually in a table, but most of the time the records will be created by someone (client) that fills a form. I’d like to have a view for only those records. Does that exist ? My coworker is leaving the business, and so her Airtable account will be deactivated after her last day next week. Will her name still come up in activity history if she had done something? or if she had been tagged in something?

We have a base that lists all of our dealers’ contact information, including state. State is a single-select field, with all states listed, just to make it easier for people to enter the correct state, and also to ensure consistency of the state abbreviations. I created a grid view grouping our dealers by state, which worked fine. However, at the top of the list is an “empty” record – and I can’t figure out why. I looked in the single select list (where you manually input the data) and didn’t see any blank or empty fields. I also looked at all the individual dealer entries to make sure each one has a state selected, and they all do. Any ideas why that empty field is appearing?

I have some multiline text I for some reason do not seem to be able to split into parts. My text is: “506070 80” let arr = multi.toString().split(" "); console.log(arr) //["506070 80"] Does anyone know how I can split this? If i make real space in the multiline text it splits as expected.

My office manager and myself are both owners on the same table which we use to track orders. Sometimes it is necessary for us both to be in that base/table at the same time but be filtering for a different thing (typically customer name). If I have it filtered for last name “Miller”, but in her workspace she needs to filter by last name “Jones”, I lose the Milers and suddenly see the Jones. This obviously doesn’t work for us! This is the reason that I created a separate user for her–I hoped this would solve this problem. I don’t want the same view as a different user, I want the filtered view I select. We both need to be able to make changes to the table so we both have full permissions.

Hi there - Currently, I am trying to do a data automation script to check if values meet specific criteria and then make recommendations for what is there vs what isn’t. The script is working as intended, however my CPU time is exceeded (3438 ⁄ 1000ms). Any recommendations on how to fix?

Hi all, I’ve read various threads on permissions etc when sharing Databases. I am still confused if it’s possible for read only users to still be able to filter views or if there is any way at all to be able give people the ability to use filters without having to pay extra on my monthly bill. I think I’ve tried the various methods but every time I make the access privileges read only the filters disappear. For people viewing the data it is only really useful if they can filter it down to what they are looking for. I’m also a bit worried in my tests if I gave someone editor permissions im suddenly going to be billed for it *yikes! Any help would be brilliant. Glen

I’m surprised I can’t find anyone else having asked about this; is there any scope for: increasing the PATCH limit from current max of 10 or making it explicit in API documentation that PATCH is limited to 10 … so users aren’t left troubleshooting an error that can be quite subtle (I had to tell browser console to unfold several layers of nested error logging).

The primary table contains an appointment date (date field - ‘Appt Date’) and pre-set appointment times (single select field - ‘Appt Time’). We have configured a single-select field (‘Action’) to manually add the record to a view, which successfully triggers the sending of a text message via Zapier and Twilio. We want to automate the sending of the text 30 minutes before the appointment time, but we have almost no experience with formulas. The formula should set the ‘Action’ field to ‘Send Appt Text Reminder’ 30 minutes before the ‘Appt Time’ when ‘Appt Date’ is today. Your help is appreciated and suggestions for a better way are welcome. We are slightly limited, I think, by the fact that the Zapier/Airtable trigger is when a record first appears in a view. But we have everything working manually; now we want to automate the sending.

I’m rolling up a list of quantities, and need to determine which quantity was the most recently ordered. I have a separate Rollup field on the same table identifying the most recent date, but I need to be able to set the value of the filter on quantity rollup to only show the quantity when the production date matches the date I have in the second rollup field. Is there a way to set the value of a filter to match a field value? Cheers, AK

Hi My automation behaves strange when using two trigger conditions. I created a very simple automation to demonstrate the bahavior. Trigger: When record matches condition When “Force sync” is True OR When “Time since last modified” > 600 Action: Run a script (using default code) Some explanation about the settings: “Force sync” is a checkbox field. I use it to force the automation to start “Time since last modified” is a formula field that calculates the time (in seconds) since the last modification of the record. The formula is IF(DATETIME_DIFF(NOW(),{Last modified time},‘seconds’)>1000000000,-10000,DATETIME_DIFF(NOW(),{Last modified time},‘seconds’)) The issue: The automation isn’t triggered when the “Force sync” is set to true. The cause? Apparently it has to do with the formula field. If I change it to a Number field it works as expected. Then why is it now working with the formula? KR Ashgard

I’m a newbie so this may be a dumb question. I’m building a To Do list. I’d like the primary field to be a Single Select for category (priority to do, shopping list, normal to do, etc.). Since Single Select is not available for the primary field I thought of using a formula that would simple be the name of my category field. This works, but duplicates data in the category field leading to confusion. I thought about hiding the primary field, but this also is not allowed. I then thought of auto number, but this too is not allowed. I tried the function record id. It works, but what it returns is confusing and meaningless to the casual user. Can someone suggest a better way? Thanks

i have the following colums that iam trying to combine in a formula : customer billing (with only two possibles choices: direct or indirect) indirect total sales revenue (a formula which multiplies a monthly amount by a number of months) I need a formula in a new column which combines the two following conditions: IF “indirect” is chosen, then copy the same amount IF “direct” is chosen, then apply a 12% on the “indirect total sales revenue” i hope it is clear enough.
