Hi All, very new to this and looking for some help. I’m looking to quickly see if a briefing has been completed or if any fields have been left empty (to then later report on this). Example I have 5 fields, if one of these fields is empty I want the output to be “incomplete”. I have been trying with this: IF({Message Name}=BLANK(),“Incomplete”,“Complete”) but this only works for me with one field. Any way I can check multiple fields to see if one of them is empty?

Hello everyone ! I have records with multiples Date fields (4 fields to be exactly). So we have {date field 1},{date field 2},{date field 3} and {date field 4}. I would like to have a formula field that shows only the year of one of these date field. Something like "If {date field 1} has no date, check {date field 2}. If not, check {date field 3}. If not, {date field 4}. If not, keep the cell empty. I tried some of formulas, without sucess. Thank you so much for your help! Quentin

Hi, I’m attempting to solve for the posted date/time of an item. Desired result: date & time of post for a new item. Available data: each item has some information about the time, but is listed in one of the following formats: x minute(s) ago -x day(s) ago -x week(s) ago Success criteria: the best approximation of an items posted date/time understanding that “a week ago” could actually mean 7-13 days ago but, for my case, I can accept this as 7 days ago. The desired results will contain a date and time. I’ve tried to use the “created time” field and find a way to subtract the time unit(s) I’m provided with, but to no avail. Is there a way to accomplish this in Airtable? Thank you in advance.

Hello, I have a table that has a Date Field. I wanted to use the filter option for a table to filter date records for a specific year such as only show dates that are 2020. With a date field, I don’t have an option to choose a date for a year. Is it possible to use a formula in this Filter section?

Hey everyone, I have a form where I am collecting responses, but I need to have the the form change the questions after each submission. I have a script set to run automatically after a new record is added which will generate the new field name and has the field id set as a variable, but I do not know how to change the name of a field while using scripting. Does anyone know if this is even possible? I basically need a function which takes a field id and a new field name, and the function will update the field name. I would even be okay with keeping the field name the constant, if I could just update what shows up on the form. I do not think there is a high level of coding allowed for forms though. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I had a functional formula formerly from a template, and then I went and copied tables between bases, and lost the actual formula in the field. What I’m trying to recreate is a conditional formula that returns a status on character count based on the social channel selected in another field. Basically: If CHANNEL is Twitter and CHARACTER COUNT is between 71 and 100, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: If CHANNEL is Facebook and CHARACTER COUNT is between 40 and 80, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: If CHANNEL is Instagram and CHARACTER COUNT is between 138 and 150, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: If CHANNEL is Linked In and CHARACTER COUNT is between 25 and 140, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: Thanks in advance!

When trying to do the very simple formula of CONCATENATE({First Name}& “ “&{Last Name}) it won’t submit, simply saying invalid formula. I have read another thread that said this is what to input to have a space between the two values, and that I also shouldn’t need to use the concatenate prefix, I’ve tried many things and nothing works. Any help?

Hi all, Can you please help me make a formula? I have records with the following (relevant) columns: Commission Processing Date (date format) Income ($ format) 1099 ($ format) After a certain date, my Income needs to be adjust by -15% and that result should be listed under my 1099 column Thus, I would like to do the following formula for my 1099 column: If Commission Processing is on or after 01/01/2020, then Income should be multiplied by 0.85. Otherwise, 1099 remains the same number as Income. Can’t figure out how to do the date part of the IF formula. Thank you!

I’ve built a simple tracking for my recurring expenses and I want one of the fields to show the current month with the information in the field next to it. I can’t seem to find how to do that.

Good afternoon folks. I have PRO account with several bases our department collaborates with. I have one base in particular that my boss and I have access to, me as Owner, him as editor. One field is a single select, and he is not able to add new values to the choices by typing into the field. I have gone so far as to select specific users to allow editing to the field, I’ve made it so editor and higher have rights to enter data… no matter how he tries, he can’t add a new value. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a database of clients who need to pass an annual certification exam. I have a Client table, that is linked to a Certification table, with multiple Certification rows for each attempt at the exam, with a unique date & result for each row. For each Client on the Client Table, I’d like to select the row On the Certification Table with the most current Test Date, so I can easily see their current Certification status. The Client table key is Client Name and the Certification table Key is Client Name + Testing Date. I can change these if needed. An example of the Certification Table below. On my Client Table, I’m creating a view with lookups to several other Tables in my base to get a complete view of Clients Status. When finding info on the Certification Table, I’d like to select the row that matches each Client on the Client table, with the most current date on the Certification Table, so I can easily see their current Certification status. Noob, sorry in advance. (also used to excel which I’m sure makes it even worse) I created a column that takes a uniform date column (start date) and count column. Then a third column that has the following formula - DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD({Start Date},Count-1,‘DAYS’),‘MM/DD/YYYY’). It works well. BUT (there’s always a but) I’m not able to format it as a date, preventing me form being able to but it in a calendar. My question is: is this antiquated thinking? Did I do something backwards? Or is it a limitation of Airtable that likely is saving me from a bigger problem? And, would anyone have a fix or better solution than the one I laid out? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I use sorting and filtering a lot but am not too happy with it. It feels quite manual. I use vim and keyboard shortcuts often so anything to do with the mouse annoys me. I feel like airtable would be amazing if it had some sort of launch controller to do many popular tasks, like sorting and filtering. I have Total pay (Currency) earned in one column and duration field in another. How do I calculate my hourly rate per record? I have only seen how to calculate total pay if you already know the hourly but in this case, I already have the duration and total payout but just need to find out what that means per hour.

Hi! I have a table called “Initiatives” - each “Initiative” has a multi-select for 50 states. I would like to generate a new row in a table called “Tasks” for each state selected for an Initiative. Example: INITIATIVES TABLE Row 1: Initiative A | NY, NJ, PA TASKS TABLE Row 1: Initiative A - NY Row 2: Initiative B - NJ Row 3: Initiative C - PA Is this possible? I’ve tried using Automations but unfortunately I need to be able to do this for up to 50 states, and the limit of 25 Automations prevents that. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am using a single select column with options as predefined numbers, 1 to 6 - representing hours (time sessions). I would then like to multiply the selected option with X (day rate) and output the result in a currency column (total cost). I can’t get it to work. Is it possible? I would like to use a single select instead of a number field to input hours.

My records are created from automation, representing tasks that were started. I have a created date field that represents the start date of the task. I also have a single-select field that staff use to mark a task completed, among other statuses. I want to be able to know when the status has been marked completed and show that date as a record field so I can then compare and check if tasks are completed the same day they were started, and if not, how long they took to complete. I’m not even sure this can be done or if there are other ways to get to what I want but I appreciate any advice! Thank you!

I’m developing a real estate website focused on condo buildings in the Washington, DC metro area. I’m housing the data in AirTable and via Zapier, it will create/update pages in WordPress. Two of the tables I have are for [condo] Buildings and Metro [stations]. The Metro is the subway system in Washington, DC. There are roughly 2500 condo Buildings and 100 different Metro stations. A Building will be near zero or several Metro stations. In the Building table, there are 3 fields that contain the names of Metro stations that are: Field 1 - within a 1/4 mile Field 2 - between 1/4 to 1/2 mile Field 3 - between 1/2 to 1 mile Each of the fields can have 0 to several Metro station names.
