i have the following colums that iam trying to combine in a formula : customer billing (with only two possibles choices: direct or indirect) indirect total sales revenue (a formula which multiplies a monthly amount by a number of months) I need a formula in a new column which combines the two following conditions: IF “indirect” is chosen, then copy the same amount IF “direct” is chosen, then apply a 12% on the “indirect total sales revenue” i hope it is clear enough. Hello, is it possible to move/export a tab from one base into a different base within the same Workspace without having to download the CSS and losing all of the attachments, formatting, etc.? And if that’s not possible, is it possible to merge two bases? Apologies if this is basic or has been answered, I could not locate any previous discussion on it. Thanks!

Hello Everyone, We have a QR code tenants can scan which will redirect them to a form to fill out. We are not really fans of the fact the form is in a airtable.com/blabla website instead of one of ours. The QR code is already printed and scattered around the community and it leads to an airtable.com/blabla website. Can we redirect the users after they scan the QR code to a custom website which has the form held on the airtable.com/blabla website? Thanks

Hi all! I have a base of student information that needs to be updated every semester when new students enroll. I get an excel spreadsheet from our registrar with the student information on it, but I’d like to pare it down to just the unique records before I import, or have Airtable only import unique records. I just dumped everything and used the Dedupe app last semester and it took me several hours to tidy everything up, so I’m not doing that again. Is there a quick way to only import unique records into Airtable?

I’m trying to use an automation to look for a record in one table to update a record on another table. I’ve created a form that I’d like my team to use to update students testing status (Yes/No) I tried to set up the automation with a Trigger on a new record created on the Test Update table I’d like to use the student name on this new record from the Test Update table and look up their info on a separate table to update their Test Status. It looks very easy to set up but I must be missing something obvious because I can’t get this to work. The trigger appears to be working, but in the update step, I get an “invalid input” error. Attached screenshots of how I set this up and the error info.

As you can see from the image, I want to add a drop down option to multiple records. Is that possible? If not I need to manually select for a lot of records…

I’ve read in this thread that the Airtable block CLI requires Node versions below 15. Unfortunately, I’m on an Apple Silicon Mac trying to help my fellow developer with a custom app project. As it turns out, as far as I can tell, Node 15 is the minimum that builds on Apple’s arm64 architecture. This in effect means that until block is updated to support Node 15, I cannot help build custom apps. I have tried installing older versions of Node with NVM, and they fail to build. Is there any way that I can use block with Node 15, or any idea of the timeline for it to be ready?

Hey all, we are trying to get unique project numbers for our airtable. (We are managing video projects). Last year, we just did an auto number and had a formula to add 20000 to that number. 20001, 20002, 20003, etc. This year, we want the unique project number to be P21001, P21002, P21003… P for our name, 21 for Year, and 001 for the unique project number. We also want 2020 projects to be P20001, etc. I found in the forum the formula for getting the YY: MOD(YEAR(CREATED_TIME()), 100) Can someone help me figure out how to make the formula that will work for any year in this way? Imagine I have 2 tables: STORE and ITEMS STORES are linked to the items table so that multiple items can show up in each store. The ITEMS table has a column called “Last Updated”, which is a bunch of dates I created a lookup field on the STORE tab that looks up the linked ITEMS “Last Updated” field. This returns a list of dates in a string: 10/20/20, 10/19/20, 11/2/20, etc Question: I want to take the Max of this field but I don’t know how to do this. I tried a formula like: Max({Items Last Updated}) but that doesn’t seem to work. Sadly, Airtable doesn’t seem to have a Split() formula equivalent. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

If I add four collaborators to my Pro plan base, can they add other collaborators? If so, is there a permission setting to prevent this (both for security and cost reasons)?

new to the program and I’m trying to trigger an automation to run 30 days prior to a date (birthday) in order to send a postcard. I’ve set the to trigger when “record matches condition” and the condition to birthday (date field) is one month from today. It will only trigger when the year matches 2021 (one month from today) Do I have to strip out the year from the birthday field in order for it to trigger?

Hi All, very new to this and looking for some help. I’m looking to quickly see if a briefing has been completed or if any fields have been left empty (to then later report on this). Example I have 5 fields, if one of these fields is empty I want the output to be “incomplete”. I have been trying with this: IF({Message Name}=BLANK(),“Incomplete”,“Complete”) but this only works for me with one field. Any way I can check multiple fields to see if one of them is empty?

Hello everyone ! I have records with multiples Date fields (4 fields to be exactly). So we have {date field 1},{date field 2},{date field 3} and {date field 4}. I would like to have a formula field that shows only the year of one of these date field. Something like "If {date field 1} has no date, check {date field 2}. If not, check {date field 3}. If not, {date field 4}. If not, keep the cell empty. I tried some of formulas, without sucess. Thank you so much for your help! Quentin

Hi, I’m attempting to solve for the posted date/time of an item. Desired result: date & time of post for a new item. Available data: each item has some information about the time, but is listed in one of the following formats: x minute(s) ago -x day(s) ago -x week(s) ago Success criteria: the best approximation of an items posted date/time understanding that “a week ago” could actually mean 7-13 days ago but, for my case, I can accept this as 7 days ago. The desired results will contain a date and time. I’ve tried to use the “created time” field and find a way to subtract the time unit(s) I’m provided with, but to no avail. Is there a way to accomplish this in Airtable? Thank you in advance.

Hello, I have a table that has a Date Field. I wanted to use the filter option for a table to filter date records for a specific year such as only show dates that are 2020. With a date field, I don’t have an option to choose a date for a year. Is it possible to use a formula in this Filter section?

Hey everyone, I have a form where I am collecting responses, but I need to have the the form change the questions after each submission. I have a script set to run automatically after a new record is added which will generate the new field name and has the field id set as a variable, but I do not know how to change the name of a field while using scripting. Does anyone know if this is even possible? I basically need a function which takes a field id and a new field name, and the function will update the field name. I would even be okay with keeping the field name the constant, if I could just update what shows up on the form. I do not think there is a high level of coding allowed for forms though. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I had a functional formula formerly from a template, and then I went and copied tables between bases, and lost the actual formula in the field. What I’m trying to recreate is a conditional formula that returns a status on character count based on the social channel selected in another field. Basically: If CHANNEL is Twitter and CHARACTER COUNT is between 71 and 100, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: If CHANNEL is Facebook and CHARACTER COUNT is between 40 and 80, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: If CHANNEL is Instagram and CHARACTER COUNT is between 138 and 150, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: If CHANNEL is Linked In and CHARACTER COUNT is between 25 and 140, then :ok_hand: , otherwise :exclamation: :exclamation: Thanks in advance!

When trying to do the very simple formula of CONCATENATE({First Name}& “ “&{Last Name}) it won’t submit, simply saying invalid formula. I have read another thread that said this is what to input to have a space between the two values, and that I also shouldn’t need to use the concatenate prefix, I’ve tried many things and nothing works. Any help?
