Hi everyone! Thank you in advance for taking a look at this. I have a formula that I think is REALLY CLOSE but keeps giving me an error. The field I’m having the formula search contains a series of state abbreviations, so MI may or may not be present in the string, and I want to differentiate between MI not being present (but other states being present) and the cell being blank. The formula should work a little something like this: IF (MI is present, then “SLP”), IF (MI is not present, then “Applying”), IF(BLANK(), “Candidate”). Here’s what I have so far. Each half works by itself, but when I put them together they always give me an error. IF({SLPs Licenses (from SLP Onboarding Link)}=BLANK(), “Candidate”, IF( FIND(“MI”,{SLPs Licenses (from SLP Onboarding Link)}),“SLP”, "Applying”))

Hello, I want to add a condition in “Find records” but somehow nothing get added when I choose it. I can only add field which show me the “Insert” button. With the other option I can only press “continue” until I have no option anymore. Can anyone tell me how to add those value fields or tell my why it won’t work? Thanks in advance, Sebastian

I am trying to set up an automation so that when I tick a checkbox in one record, it updates a status field in the same record - I must be missing something in the help files as for the life of me I can’t find how to do this. Any help much appreciated!

Hello good people of airtable! I would like to know how to: add two percentages together, then minus that percentage from an amount? to get the sum of that calculation in this case- FEE (£40) - (CUT (10%) + TAX (20%) = 30%) = PROFIT (£28)

So im trying to calculate days that are left for a project to end. Im using DATETIME_DIFF({End Date}, TODAY(), ‘days’) but some ended projects show -2 (the ones that ended 2 days ago) how can I make them just stay at 0? Maybe an if condition. But Cant seem to find it. Thanks!

Automation keeps shutting itself off after 5 seconds. Tested all the step success all the way through. Trigger: New Google form Submission Action: Find Record based on email Action: Script to format data Action: Create new Record with data and linking to found record Error just says try again no information Airtable Documentation suggests it’s issue with managed accounts so I did a reconnect still no difference. Hi folks, I’m in the process of moving some data from Google Sheets into Airtable. In the Google sheets I have three tabs. The first two have data added manually. The third tab uses formula to pull through the data from tabs 1 & 2. This formula is working fine in Google sheets, but I get an error message in AirTable when trying to switch the column type to formula. I’m sure it’s something simple, like I’m referencing the wrong fields in the formula, but as I’m a newbie to AirTable, I’m struggling to find a solution.

I have a field in Airtable with L x W x H listed in one cell. The information follows the same format every time. There is a space followed by an x followed by another space. I would like to pull each value into it’s own cell. I know it would be easier to go the other way around, but we already have a lot of data in this format and it’d be easier for the team entering the information to continue their process. Can someone help me write a formula to get these 3 values into their own fields?

Hello! I’m fairly new to using Airtable but right now I am creating an application where I pull data from a table I created and populate React components with that data. It’s a pretty simple integration and has been pretty straight forward for the most part but the only thing I am struggling with at the moment is pulling an image I stored in a table. I know Airtable has the “Attachment” datatype which is what I’ve been using but it’s been causing me runtime errors every time I try to pull the image for each record. Is there a better way to store and fetch images using Airtable? Is it better to use a third party alternative?

I’m from the UK, I want to store contacts including their post code. I want to somehow have the table display the area in which the contact lives based off the first part of their postcode. So for example if I have John Smith who lives in PL5 9KG, I want a formula to display only the ‘PL5’ part of his postcode, and then somehow have the next field then look this PL5 up in another table and then display ‘PLYMOUTH’. This would need to work for other, longer post codes too like PL21 or TR58. I already have the formula "LEFT(Postcode,4) to get the first 4 characters of the postcode field (Including the space if it’s only 3 characters at the start), but that’s as far as I have got. I have looked at various threads on here but can’t seem to work it out!

Slightly different from the other many birthday calculations. I have AGE(date of record opened) and need to calculate AGE(Current). I do NOT have a birthdate and can’t get it. How do I calculate - DateCreated - XX(years) = YOB Which would allow me to then use - DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {YOB}, ‘years’)

I have created an weekly triggered automation I want to call the Airtable Form Designer App, that i have installed on dashboard. This App is configured to create a well formatted document using a filtered table view. I am aware that i could create an email action in my automation, however the email options are Grid or List which is not formatted. Please advise thanks

Hi all, I am hiring a staff member to work with my in my small business. I have a recruitment agency and naturally my database is so valuable to me. I would love to know if there is a way I can stop a collaborator from being able to download the data in my base? What is to stop a person from taking my database (either by copying and pasting or downloading) and starting their own recruitment business in the same, very specialised industry. No harsh comments please — I know I need to trust my future staff and sure I will eventually but in the meantime I also need to protect my intellectual property. PlEASE NOTE: they do need the database access in order to do their job Thanks in advance!

Hi, what formula can I use to show many days remain for a task? For example, if there are 4 days remaining before the Due Date, I’d like that cell to read “4” I tried using a formula from another table but it didn’t work. The existing formula was: IF({Name (from Due Date)}, DATETIME_DIFF({Name (from Due Date)}, TODAY(), ‘days’)) My new formula is: IF({Follow Up Date}), DATETIME_DIFF({Follow Up Date}), TODAY(), ‘days’)) - but this one doesn’t seem to function correctly. In my database, I have cells that contain both text and one or more hyperlinks I want to extract the URL from those cells and put them in a new column and I have no idea how to do so. I would love to get some help on this please, thanks !

I’m trying to create a table using this code: I keep getting this error: Bundle Error: Cannot find module '@airtable/blocks/dist/types/src/types/field' from 'C:\dev\my_app\build\development\transpiled\user\frontend' As you can see…the type is found and no typescript errors are indicated on the line where it is used. Wondering if this is a bug or some issue that needs a work-around. I know this functionality is beta right now.

I want to combine a linked field containing a job title with each item in a multiple select field, which contains different statuses and sub-statuses in the application process. Ultimately, I need to be able to keep track of each status that a candidate has ever been in. I’m using the simple formula below: {Job Title} & "_" & Status But it seems like Airtable treats the different items in the multiple select field as an array. The formula produces the job title followed by a string of each of the statuses separated by a comma. I’d like for it to produce the different combinations - Job F_1.a, Job F_2.a. Does anyone know how to do this?

3 lookup fields “30 Min Call”, “Proposal Sent” and “Contract Signed” 1 result field “Status”, Formula needed IF “30 Min Call” has a date, enter “Prospect” in “Status” BUT IF “Proposal Sent” has a date, enter “Onboarding” in “Status” BUT IF “Contract Signed” has a date, enter “Client” in “Status” IF all three fields are EMPTY, leave “Status” blank Likely scenario would be when “Status” shows “Client” then all 3 lookup fields have dates (but is not a requirement). I’m pretty sure I am missing one simple thing but I have tried all kinds of strings and tried comparing in the help functions but still getting error results. Thanks for the help.

Happy to do the following in both Airtable and Excel (and involving as many steps as necessary). I have two separate tables with a similar multiselect column in each, involving many values or “tags” as I call them: Table 1: Table 2: I want to add an additional column in Table 1 titled “Tags”. I’m trying to populate this column. If Table 2’s Product Tags can all be found in Table 1’s Product Tags (not an exact match, but rather if Table 1’s column contains the content from Table 2), then I would like to return the name of the brand (column A) from Table 2. Please help!!

I have destination table set up to sync all new fields created in source table but it is not happening. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi there – not new to Airtable, but new to scripting. I’d like to add a new row to a table (table:“Daily”) and set the primary field (column:“Date”) with tomorrow’s date, and run it every day. Simple, right? I suspect the best way to do this is set up a scheduled automation to, say, run each day at 7am, that creates a new row with tomorrow’s date. This would require declaring today’s date and tomorrow’s date in the correct format, either in the script or as an input config. I’ve poured through the documentation and these boards to find a simple way to do this, but am coming up short and appealing for the first time to the pros here for a little assistance. I’ve also tried to set this up as a simpler scheduled automation using the “Create record” action, but you can’t use a formula to declare the field value, either in the automation or as a computed field (e.g. declaring “Tomorrow” as a computed field in the row) Any advice on how to go about this seemingly simple task? Hi! I created an automation that, once a Single Select cell is updated, it will tag a Collaborator in another cell. However, I have to create one automation for each record. Is that right? Is there an easier way to do that? Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to fetch all records from the entire base without needing to pick a single table? I’m creating a To-Do list app that’s pretty much like the example provided by Airtable. We have multiple tables organized by “Offices” like for example “Development”, “Design”, “Marketing” and so on. Each record is a Task. Our goal is to simply display all Records in the App that are not marked as Completed so our manager can easily go through those tasks in one place. The useRecords method requires a Table to be passed as an argument so I thought of maybe looping through all tables and then fetching those records but then I figured that this would make the app not reactive… So… Is this possible? If not, do you have any suggestions of how I could accomplish this? We sure don’t want our manager to have to select which table he’ll be working on since that’s irrelevant to him… Thanks for your help!
