Hi there Airtable community! I’m having trouble with an IF statement. I have a lookup column with two values, Turned or H/L. If the value is Turned, I want my formula to add the values in each of the shoe sizes listed. I’m getting an ERROR every time I try it though. Is it because the value (H/L) is a lookup value? The formula saves correctly, but the resulting value is #ERROR! I know that these types of questions have been asked several times here, but I haven’t been able to replicate suggestions from other threads to get the desired empty cell for my formula. Thanks in advance for any assistance! My formula is: DATEADD({Associated Event Date}, {Days before/after event date} * 1, ‘days’) some of my tasks do not have a value for the {Days before/after event date} field. In these cases, I would like for the cell to show up empty rather than show #ERROR. Please help :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

That is probably a very confusing title, I will do my best to explain what I want but I am pretty new to coding and Airtable. I already have a Grid View with multiple fields, and I am using the Forms View to add to my Grid View. In my Form I have a multiple select option where I can add multiple pieces of equipment that will be assigned to one project. However, for my Gantt Views I need the Primary Field to only contain one value. Right now I am using a formula to define my Primary Field. I think what I need to do is create a script that will extract the individual values of the array and assign them their own records. You can see from the images that not every record contains an array. Just for the sake of clarity, my Forms View updates the “Equipment # and Description” field, which has the lookup field “New # (Don’t Use)” which is what is used to define the Primary field. Hi I managed to get a button to run a script to populate a linked field with a unique value, thanks to the exellent advice by @JonathanBowen The link to the topic is here As the populated field only ever has the value pasted by the script or is empty, I wonder if I can adapt the script to only run if my target field is empty and display a warning and abort if it isn’t? Hello :slightly_smiling_face: I am a beginner in the creation of Airtable formulas. Is it possible to create a formula IF(AND(value1,value2,value3) with at least 3 conditions ? I only succeeded it with 2 conditions. If it’s not possible, do you know how i can make it with others formulas ? Tx u very much for your help/time

Hello Everyone! Would greatly appreciate any help on this matter. I have a base with two rows: people can enter their name and a date. Is there a formula I can use in the third row which would check how many entries are recorded for the same date, and could show a message along the line of: “Too late, there are already 8 entries with this date”. Hi all, I am building a sort of ‘attendance list’ which is displayed over a calendar, all I want from it is so that people are able to add their name, and a date in which they will be attending. I do however, want to limit the number of records per day. For Example: If there are already 10 people with the date 09/06/2021, I would like to either not allow another person to add an entry with their name and this date. A warning message would also suffice, in the way of having a last column, and once a person tries do add himself to the a date that has reached its max amount, the term “unavailable” would appear in the last column Any idea on how to approach this situation? Ive looked at numerous other community posts but don’t seem to be understanding this. I want to update a linked field with a room location. The location is being provided by users selecting it from a list via recordasync, and I’m storing it as a string with .name. This unlinked field updates without issue: sourceTable.updateRecordAsync(recordID,{'nonlinked location': roomName}); but i can’t get the linked table to update no matter how I format the portion after the :. I’ve tried sourceTable.updateRecordAsync(recordID,{'linked location': [{id: roomName}]}) and other variations of that to no avail. I believe it has to do with the location being passed as a string to the linked array, but I’m not sure how to format either the input or the updaterecord to accept the change. Hey Everyone: I have a table that houses 260 records. Each record represents 1 Song. I have a rollup in that table that has every date I have practiced that song in my set lists. Set lists are individual records that track each show and adds the song in the position played. I want to take that list of songs and the date rollups and create a new table that has all the songs listed one by one by date played. I know moving forward I can do this by automation as the records are created, but how do I do it for everything in the past?

Hi Airtable community, I’m a complete novice at scripting, so bear with my ignorance here. I have a table with three fields: Email, Converted Email, and a Button. I want the button to trigger a script that encodes whatever’s listed in the Email field to base 64 and push it to the Converted Email field. I am currently working on putting together a price list from our various venders who offer similar products. One of my tables list the “Generic Product” ID while I have another table with a list of all products we purchase. I was able to use a rollup easy enough to tell me what the lowest price for that “Generic Product” is but would like for that to also pull the information from that table to tell me which supplier offers the lowest price. Is there a simple way for me to accomplish this? I have been missing around with some ideas but figured I would ask the community.

Hello ! To manage my dev, i search a way to ‘extract’ formulas used in a field . The idea is to have a table regrouping all my differents fields created with formulas. Something like this

I have a small farm and use Airtable to track the animals. I have a table for their basic info (name, dob, etc), one for weights (used every time we weight them), one for any treatment(s) they get, and one to track breedings. I’d like to be able to have a view where I can pull up an animal by name, then see all the other associated records regarding it from the other tables. If I pull up animal “Bob,” I’d like to then see his weights and treatments in the same view (by most recent). I’ve tried searching these forums and the web to see if it’s possible, but have come up empty. This view would normally be used from a mobile device.

Would like to know is there a way to do automation so that I can count how many times I have checked a checkbox? :white_check_mark: The counter (or variable?) should increase by 1 every time I check a checkbox in the corresponding record. It should NOT decrease by 1 if the checkbox is unchecked. :white_medium_small_square: I need this function/automation because I have recurring tasks every week and want to count the times I completed the task. Also, I think there is currently no way to uncheck a checkbox by formula / automation. How can I make my weekly tasks show up to be unchecked when a new week starts? Thanks! P.S. I have tried this method: By automation, every time a record is checked (trigger), I create a new record in the ‘Script’ table. The record has my task’s ID as its name and the number (initially 0) copied from the triggering record field ‘counter’. Then, another action is modifying the triggering record by adding 1 to the Script record. But it seems doesn’t work

Hello there I would like to avoid user copy and paste in one of our tables. For this is have created a button and modified the excellent ‘copy values from one field to another’ script by @JonathanBowen to my needs. This works really well to copy a value from my source field to a target field, replacing the existing value in the target and leaving a create date in the source field. Now what I want to achieve is that that target field is a linked primary field in another table. At the moment users do this manually with copy and paste, but we do not want to introduce the idea of copy and paste as a function, a button would make this more elegant. The idea behind it is that we use one table to build a product by formula from other field values, so that we end up with a full parts code in one field (the source). I am building a simple daily task management automation. I want any task that was not Done to be forwarded to the next day at 3AM so when I start work I have all uncompleted tasks automatically in today’s task list. So far… Trigger When records matches conditions When Date is yesterday And Status is not Done Action Update record Record ID: Record (step 1 Trigger) | Field values | Date Fields: Date | Today() Also tried DATEADD( Date, 1, ‘days’) Trigger test ran successfiully. Action test failed “Received invalid inputs.” Wondering how to do this? (New to Airtable.)

Is it possible to get visible fields for a chosen table and view? I checked the Airtable scripting documentation and I cannot find the property to check if a field is visible for that view

With a table with these columns: Name | Surname | ID | email I would like to implement an external webapp that given email + ID, checks if the record actually exists and returns true or false. Hi! I’ve tried to read on my question since a lot of people also ask about it in the community but I’m still not very clear with the answer, so I will share my specific scenario to be sure. I’m setting up Airtable workspaces for a Company that will have 9 Pro users. By this, I initially assumed it would be $20/year per user. BUT… it got a little confusing with the different shared workspaces. So the 9 users are spread into 3 different departments: 3 users in HR, 3 users in IT, 3 users in Sales. Each team will have their own workspace. But there are some processes where the Sales Team needs to share certain Bases from their workspace to the 3 people in IT Team to complete a process. Does that mean, even though the 3 IT Team are already paid Pro users, there will be an additional $20*3 users for them to have Editor permissions in specific Sales Bases?

Hey Community: I built a pretty extensive base that tracks all the places a band has been. I want to be able to have a formula that will take this field’s output and make is a list. I will never know where the commas may fall for the names of the places.
