Hi, I have two linked record columns. Our users use a custom app to link records to these columns.,I don’t want the users to link records directly from the columns but instead use the app. since we cannot restrict permissions to a column, is there a way to open the app when someone makes changes to a column? I am thinking an Automation when the record is updated and open the app from Autmation? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone! In a client’s base, they have a form where applicants essentially fill out a job application. Applicants upload their resume, and then I have an automation set up that pushes their demographic information into a “Contacts” table and the job-specific information, including their resume, into an “Applications” table. This works perfectly about 90% of the time. Seemingly randomly, some resumes aren’t appearing in the Applications table. When I look at the record history, I see this: Why would the automation add the resume only to immediately delete it? Has anyone run into this before?

Hello, I am trying to write an equation for total pallets used. If the total cartons is over 4it gets palletized. My equation is IF(Cartons > 4, ROUNDUP(Cartons/{Cartons per Pallet}), 0). but Airtable wont accept it. Any advice?

Trying to create a formula that adds x number of business days if priority is x. This is what I have so far: IF(Priority=“High”,WORKDAY({Writer Assignment Date},3, IF(Priority=“Normal”,WORKDAY({Writer Assignment Date},5, IF(Priority=“Low”,WORKDAY({Writer Assignment Date},10)))))) It accepts this formula, but populates with an “#ERROR” in some fields and blank in others. All fields have the required selections. Trying to create a due date field that is customized by priority. If it is high priority for instance, the person would need to complete the assignment within 3 business days by that date.

So I have a table with a field Client that references a record from another table. Client column as such can contain a value such as ['rec1234abc']. Now I want to do a filter to return all records that reference a specific record. I tried this (using the Python client): my_table.get_all(formula="ARRAYJOIN(Client, '')='rec1234abc'") But that returns me no results. How can I accomplish this?

In Automation “Find Records”, only 100 records get found for the subsequent action. What are the work arounds for updating more than 100 records?

The Vision App requires an API Key. The API Key is visible to all collaborators. Google specifies that API Keys should not be exposed in code, as this is a security problem. I attempted to “restrict” the API so that I could at least limit usage to airtable / vision. But I got an error related to OAuth. Am I misunderstanding something about the potential security implications? Why would this app be designed to keep the API exposed? Thanks for any advice!

Hi, any idea why is Vega-lite displaying the last month July 1 2022 of my table as the first month in my Chart, even before June 1 2021 ?!! this happen with whatever Date I start the table on. It looks like a Bug (in Vega or AT) to me, displaying the last month before the first one… Anyone facing the same issue, Thanks ! Hi there, I want to add a formula to result in a date. I have a delivery date column. and I want formula to calculate a date 7weeks (49 days) before the delivery date. I have this working in Excel & numbers, but copying the formula into Airtable does not work - results in NaN. Please may you help. Thank you, Sally

I have a table containing a PostCode column, and Address columns 1 to 6, all of type “single line text”. I wish to know which of the columns contains the PostCode and will use SWITCH(PostCode,Address1,1,Address2,2 …). However even when I can see which column contains the PostCode, let’s say Address3, a formula of PostCode = Address3 is returning false, when it should be true as they appear equal. Adding LEN() to both sides of the formula confirms they are the same expected length. The values I see in both columns appear identical. This behaviour is not the same in a table created with just these 2 columns and the values manually input. What differences in the values could there be that is not visible and how might the difference be eliminated?

I have a formula that’s doing what I want it to do. But I’d like the field {ACTUAL VALUE} to be currency formatted like {EST. VALUE} - I’d also like to get a SUM at the bottom of this column, so I need it to be a number. This is what I have so far. IF(STAGE="Executed", {EST. VALUE},"") What do I need to add? Hi - please help, bit confused. I published a base up into the Airtable Universe (and luckily saved the link for it). If I search the Airtable Universe, I can’t find it anywhere. I have a base to keep track of the FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION of each of our FILMS. In table 1, I record the participation of each FILM on different festivals (which I pull from a FESTIVAL DB in table 2). This means that on table 1, on the first field {FILMS} film1, film2, film3 are recurrent values, appearing in as many records, as festivals where they get invited. In table 1, I include a text field named {SOCIAL MEDIA} where I include the film’s social media related profiles and hashtags. I do that on the first occurrence of each film on a record. MY PROBLEM: I can’t figure out a way to either LOOKUP, ROLLUP, or find a FORMULA to reproduce the info I entered in {SOCIAL MEDIA} for a particular FILM X in a record to another record in the same table where FILM X appears. In my mind is like making an intra-table “related field” but I cannot figure out how to do it.! I am attempting to create a simple script which will count the number of entries in a linked lookup field. My plan was to invoke .selectRecordAsync() on the table of interest to pull the records and count the number of entries for a given record in that field. I’ve run into an issue early on with this script: the selectRecordAsync call appears to only be returning the name field and Id for the records, but no other data. I have a base with a table full of tags that is used to tag different items along different dimensions. Each item can be tagged in alot of differnt categories. I’m trying to use airtable in conjunction with Bubble.io and it seems I’ll make life easier for myself if I rename the linked fields back in my tag table to something more meaningful rather than tablename 1, tablename 2, tablename 3… Is there a quick way to see what these field corresponds to, so I don’t have to toggle between tables and try to match up which tags are present where?

I am trying uploading an image from webflow form to airtable using zapier. All the form data like name, email, etc are getting added to the table when I submit the form except for the attached image. The image column (Attachment) is always empty. So I tried manually add the image using the Link (URL) option and kept getting following error: “Error fetching URL metadata.” Following is the image URL generated by webflow: https://webflow.com/api/sites/3d-jobs-project/formUploads/8070822d-b223-4bfe-9d61-eab61d069dc4.png Any idea how to fix this?

Dear airtable community, i am looking for a function that: if a certain cell is modified, i get a value in a ‘last modified time’ field. after getting that, i want to know the work day difference between my ‘last modified time’ field and a ‘order date’ field. if the mentioned cell at first hasn’t been modified yet, i won’t get an return for the ‘last modified time’ field and so i want to have a blanc for the difference in work days. the function i was able to set up for now is: IF({found at},WORKDAY_DIFF({order date},{found at}, BLANK()) i’m aware of the fact that the point of formulating the conditon, isn’t fullfilled, but i have no idea what else to put there. if there’s an easier way of fullfilling my need than the if function, please. let me know :slightly_smiling_face: as always thanks in advance and stay safe guys

Not related to Airtable, but I wonder if anybody came across a service where I can push clickable URL address to. I created a dynamic URL formula to Airtable form with help of kuovonne’s Prefilled Forms. That URL changes and new URL is generated after the previous form was submitted. So now I am looking to upload upload that URL somewhere online where I can click it in a web browser. I am thinking Zapier or Integromat would watch changes in the field containing kuovonne’s changing URL and it would pick up the new URL and push it somewhere. Where … that I don’t know. I could setup twitter account for example and click the URL in the twitter feed. RSS could also work but I don’t want to display old URLs in the feed. I just want to show the latest version of the URL. However, I am looking for something simple, without need to open an app, something that would work without login, for example web-page and Zapier / Integromat would update that link there. Anybody knows anything like that? M

Hi folks, I am fairly new to the formula game and I’m working on a formula where I have 3 columns with dates {LOI Target}, {ETA to AMZ}, {Content Delivery Date} and i’ll need to calculate the latest date out of the three of these Add 7 days to the latest date Calculate to the next Tuesday input date correctly into column It’s a bit of a monster. Any help even in little pieces would be great. I’ve been wandering the forums looking for help and this one was the closest formula to one of my needs (latest date out of the 3 dates). So, is the following formula on the right track for what I want? I know that the MAX function doesn’t really bode well with dates but that’s about all I know. Hi, In my table I have a field where I want the expiration date of a contract be automátically calculated based on another date field (when the contract was signed) + 36 months duration period. The formula is as follows: DATEADD({signed}, 36, “months”) Most of our contracts are for 3 year periods, but because, we actually have some that are for one year, I thought I could create another number field where I could set as default the value “36” but eventually could change the number of months to “12”, for example. Now the new formula is: DATEADD({signed}, {contract duration}, “months”) PROBLEM: The date appearing in the signed field is June 20, 2015. In the first formula, the date that resulted was June 20, 2018 (signed date, 36 months later) The second formula however came June 19, 2018, a day earlier. I’ve tried with different month values. it always comes one day earlier. Any tips, suggestions, etc would be appreciated.
