Hi, I’m using the following formula in the column “is absent today”, but for some reason it isn’t correctly finding August 16th. I suspect this is because the linked “Absent” field is an array, which is why I included the &"" in my formula, but that didn’t fix it… IF(FIND({Today's Date},{Absent} & ""), 'Y', 'N')

Hi, Is there a way to ‘freeze’ a view so any newly created records don’t enter it. I’ve got to download a load of data from the table and run them through another software and then re-upload the results. I’m hoping i can just paste in the results but i new records enter the view that weren’t included in the original download then there might be a race condition. Thanks in advance

Hey everyone, Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn’t find anything. I am still a beginner. My Problem is the following: IF({Laufzeit (Monate)}= BLANK(),"", DATEADD(Vertragsbeginn,{Laufzeit (Monate)},“Month”)) It works, but the result it is no longer shown as a date. I guess because it could either be a date or a text, it doesn’t recognize it. So what I want is to have an empty cell in case “Laufzeit (Monate)” ist empty and the calculated date as a date in case “Laufzeit (Monate)” is filled. Could anyone help?

Hi, I’m trying to set up a sheet to manage attendance for a preschool center. Kids have a different “weight” depending on their age, which I successfully set up. The weighting is used to determine how many kids we can have at once. What I now need to do is show a daily breakdown of those weights, because some children don’t attend preschool every day. I need a calendar where I can look at any given day and see how many total kids will be there. I’m trying to combine the weight formula with START and END date fields, but can’t make it work… Any advice is much appreciated!

I’ve got my PEOPLE and COMPANIES in separate sheets in one base. Cool. (Love it if we could link multiple bases!) I finally figured out I should link all their social media spheres into one sheet, too (so those entries don’t go on forevah!) Q: But how do I keep straight (i.e.: link) the many TITLES one person who wears a lot of hats may have with their variety of entitles? Example: A gal who’s the CEO of her own company but ALSO the VP of a joint venture/partnership, on the Board of a charity and maybe the President of a trade organization? Sure: I can reciprocally link her - as a person - to a variety of companies/entities (and of course, lots of peeps with one company) - I get that - but how do I keep all her various TITLES straight? So I know which title goes to which company - for the same person? A whole 'nuther “Titles” sheet? Like the Social Media sheet? Ugh. Better way? Beuller?

Record ID is not being detected by the automation tool. I need to change a status of a record when another record is created. But when I link them together it does not detect the ID and the error says the field is invalid. I have other automations done the same way. I am using “copy” tables so I don’t mess with my current data Flow wanted: The table that is going to be updated is “Control Modulos” When record is created in Cosecha → Change status of linked record to “Disponible” and then When record is created in Paso Modulo → Change status of linked record to “En operacion”

I have two tables: “Widgets”, “Sales”. A Sale record can reference one or more Widgets. When I create a new Sale record, I want the the “sold” field in the corresponding widget record(s) to be toggled. Sounds like this might be an Automation, but I’m new and not sure. I’m prefilling a link in a button field to an adobe webform. It works perfectly if I click the button on desktop, but on mobile it encodes the # that adobes requires as is and doesnt fill the form. Is there something I change in the button? Its useless if mobile users can’t use it since most of the team uses their phones vs desktop. Sorry for the newbie question. I imported an excel file into Airtable. My main column (far left column in image) I would like to convert it to Single Select. In the second screenshot you will see that it does not allow me to do so. I tried then to create a new column from scratch and create each value with the color coding, with the intention of deleting or hiding the original column on the far left, but it doesn´t allow me to do that either. Hi, my code is working locally just fine but not on the server. The code’s purpose is to create a new record is created in Airtable. When I push this code to IBM Cloud Functions, which is equivalent to AWS Lambda if folks are more familiar with AWS, the code seems to finish before Airtable’s “create record in base” function executes. A little about the code: it’s an analytics function. It will take a search term, like “dog food”, figure out all of the products tied to that search (say there are 64 products) and for each of those 64 return five different scenarios based on whether our main Airtable has that data: relevant result (in this case, 50% or 32 relevant results) not found in database (in this case 28% or 18 not found) found, but missing country (in this case 8% or 5 missing country) found, but missing manufacturer (in this case 14% or 9 missing manufacturer) edge case (in this case 0% or 0 edge cases) All code samples are below. Hello All, I created a table in my base called notes. Customized the field type to Long Text then turned on the Enable rich text formatting. Copied and pasted a bunch of town names into one of the cells. Clicked on expand cell blue button so I could see the whole list. When it opened it had a red zig-zag underline under most of the names. I was right clicking on them all one by one and selecting add to dictionary when I realized I had added one of them to the dictionary that was spelled incorrectly. NOTE: Undo from adding to dictionary only seems to work on the LAST word added. Q: How do I find this dictionary and remove the misspelled word so it is caught again in the future! I’ve written an automation script that I’d like to migrate over to the scripting app. I know that there are some differences between the two, but I’m having a lot more trouble than I thought. The script connects to an external API and pulls data from the API into my base. I seem to be running into issues with the async functions I’ve written to connect to the API and pull the data in. The code works when it’s not wrapped up in a function, but fails when it looks like the example below: async function testFunction(){ let response = await fetch('https://api.github.com/orgs/Airtable'); console.log(await response.json()); } testFunction(); This code above works as an automation script, but not in the scripting app.

Is the fact that the Scripting app linter recognizes this method a bug, or a sign of things to come? The capital B seems to imply React shenanigans. I know there have been calls for table creation to be added to the app, but I didn’t think it would actually happen. I still don’t, but I guess that’s one way to place it behind a paywall in style come September (assuming Airtable actually comes through with it this time around lol). Hello, First challenge…I am trying to show when a number is input to the RECEIVED column, that it subtracts itself from the ORDERED column and puts the result in the BACKORDERED column (however if the RECEIVED column is blank, I need the BACKORDERED column to be ‘0’ or blank as well). Second challenge…If the RECEIVED number equals the ORDERED column then the STATUS column should show ‘complete’. If the RECEIVED number is less than the ORDERED column, the STATUS column should show ‘in progress’. If I was to say this in one sentence it would be “If received is not 0 or blank, subtract it from ordered and show result in backordered AND if received equals ordered change status to complete OR if received is less than ordered change status to in progress” Any help would be much appreciated! :grinning:

Hi All - I would appreciate any support In one base, I have two tables (Master and Prices). I have a list of products on the master table with a field (column) named costs, and in Prices, I have Product and new Price fields. I need assistance (not sure if this is possible) with a formula that will help me update the costs in the Master table if the product in the Master table is also available in the Prices table. Example: In this example, the Master table will only update products A and C’s Cost fields because it has not picked up a product on the Price table. This means that in Table 1, product A will change automatically to 150 and C to 250. Nothing will happen to B because there is not a unit for it in Table 2. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

I had searched through the community and seen a post stating about the date difference of a period showing data like 2 months and 31 days or 3 months 30 days. It is worse if it involves February as it will be calculated as 1 month 30 days. Example as below. I’m making all the months defaulted to have 30 days, as per below formula. Hi I’m playing around with scripting (not a programmer) and I’ve run into a situation where I can’t update assign the collaborator object. I’ve modified my code to represent what I’m looking for Collaborator is the collaborator field on my base. I’m just needing a hand with the Automation Scripting Syntax - I can push it to Console.Log, but just struggling to pull/assign the input values to variables. I’m trying to get local time date stamping into fields, really struggling to get my head around the timezones, when I think I’ve got the problem solved, it’s not. I’m looking to create a formula that will set a trigger for a reminder in 30 days time from an activity, when it will display “Trigger Reminder” after 30 days have passed from that live date field. I thought this formula would work: IF(AND(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Live Date}, ‘days’ > 30)), “Trigger Reminder”) But that just comes up with Trigger Reminder for pretty much everything in my base.
