Hi! I want a field to show one of three values (Active, Expires in a week or Expired) depending on if the field “Startdatum” is after today, within a week or before today. How do I solve this? Thanks!

See the attached screenshot for an idea of what I’m trying to accomplish. I’m using a formula to concatenate the names of sellers and buyers. Simple except that if there are two or more names, how can I remove the identical last name, or add an & between names if they are different names?

If I can’t access airtable suddenly, (This morning I couldn’t access airtable for a while), how can I access my data? Can it be deployed locally?

Is it probable?If I am in a table in workbase A, how can I jump to a table in workbase B quickly? Is there any shortcut?

I could use some assistance with extracting a word from a string. Here is an example of the string. 200 East Broadway #Z001 (Jacob to Seymore) This is the formula that almost has what I need but missing something. I have a list of people and their dates of birth. I’d like to know if that birthday falls in the current month. Right now, I have a column, the formula of which is IS_SAME({55th Birthday},TODAY()), which indicates if that birthday is today, but I’d like to see everyone in the list who turns 55 in the present month. So, in September, the September 55th birthdays are indicated; in October, the October 55th birthdays will be flagged; and so forth.

I need to change this formula to ignore weekends. It is successfully calculating the next day a task should take place on based on frequency, but that frequency should add 1 or 2 days if it is on a Sunday or Saturday. Anyone know how to change my formula to account for this? Hi so i have a airtable table and it has date and time field. I wanted to use those value for time for calculation condition and date for comparison basically i want if else based on date and time values. How can i use that? i used JavaScript functions for that but still i cannot get my desired output. Please someone help me out here. IT IS VERY URGENT pls.

Hi there! Trying to create a formula that pulls various hourly rate information from another table and calculates the hours x hourly rates into a grand total field. Additionally, rates vary depending on the employee selected, so once a name is selected, the formula will pull their respective rates from the other table and start the calculation. I believe this may require a roll up field as well, but not sure where that falls in the flow. Here’s a screen shot of the other table with various $$$ rates Here’s my main timesheet table where you’ll see a number of hour totals (Reg., OT, and 2xOT). Again, once I choose a name (People) I want to calculate those totals with their respective rates in the Total Compensation field. Really stuck on this one! Thanks!

I have a problem in fetching the github api using this code and the error show is Response status 301 ‘Moved Permanently’ but redirect mode was set to ‘error’. I have a button/script that I want to be a toggle the value in a single select field. If the value is blank, I want to e button to mark it “Absent”; if the value is “Absent”, I want the button/script to make the cell blank. In Airtable Scripting, I see how to delete choices, but I don’t think I want to delete the choice, just the value. (I am trying to avoid having a second option of “Present”, as I know my users will assume they have to mark all clear cells as “Present”.) Hey all, I’d love a hand with a formula if anyone knows this? I’d like to find what % a number is of another number, if that makes sense… So for example… If I have $500 in an investment account, and that investment is currently sitting at $750, what’s the formula to show the % increase (which equals to 50%)? The formula would of course show the opposite of -50% if the investment fell to $250. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Christopher

Hi Friends. I am looking for a way to have people select a time slot from a single select field when filling out a form, but then make that option unavailable to other people. When creating a form, you can choose which options are shown, but I can’t figure out how to automate changes to which options are shown. Any ideas? TYIA

I am trying to check to see if the Date column is empty, then if not, display the date’s weekday in the Day of Week column. Here’s my formula in the Day of Week column: IF({Date}!=BLANK(),DATETIME_FORMAT({Date},'dddd'),"") I do not understand why I am getting errors for all the blanks. I’ve tried several different versions of the formula above. Any help appreciated.

Hi There, I’m struggling to figure out a formula (if there is a suitable one available), and wondering if anyone can help. I have a spreadsheet to track subscriptions and when the next orders are due to go out - these are done at regular intervals; either 4-weekly, 6-weekly, 8-weekly or 3-monthly. Rather than having to update the next due date of the subscription for each order I would love to have a formula that can automatically update the next due date based on the start date e.g. if the order started on 01/07/21 on a 3-monthly subscription, then it would be able to update the next due date to 01/10/21. I would then like it to continue updating automatically, so when we get to 01/10/21 it would automatically update to 01/01/21. Is this possible? Or anything similar that doesn’t require it to be a completely manual process. Ideally I would like it to be dependent on the subscription frequency e.g. 4-weekly or 3-monthly from another column, however if this is not possible, I would be

Hi, I have a table with sub-categories where I want to be able to choose, from a multiple-select list, the lowest level and auto populate the higher level, e.g. if I choose “Banana” I want the higher level to automatically become “Fruit”. I have managed to do this with an IF-statement, but my solution doesn’t give such a user-fiendly filtering option. The IF-statement I have created returns the statement as a string, so when I want to filter the category I manually have to write in “Fruit”. I would instead like to filter it by selecting “Fruit” from a list (as you can do with for instance a multiple-select list). Is it possible to do this when autopopulating a field? Hi there, having a difficult time writing a formula, for an employee timesheet. Currently, I am the using DATETIME_DIFF formula to calculate the total amount of hours worked within a 14-day period. I’m using two date/time fields for each day (ex: Day 1 - Start, Day 1 - End), so my formula is embarrassingly long: DATETIME_DIFF({Day 1 - End}, {Day 1 - Start}, ‘hours’)+DATETIME_DIFF({Day 2 - End}, {DAY 2 - Start},‘hours’)+DATETIME_DIFF({Day 3 - End}, {Day 3 - Start},‘hours’)… and so on 11 more times. My issue is, we have some employees that don’t work the full 14 days, so I need a formula that will calculate their total hours, and if some START/END fields are left blank, it will result as a “0” in the overall calculation. I am a novice when it comes to formula writing, and have just started using Airtable this Summer. Any help or guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I am trying to create a simple rollup field that counts the number of check boxes from a linked table for attendance purposes. I create the rollup field like this: You can see that Abdelnasir and Aamir both have at least one check mark for attendance: However nothing changes and the rollup field shows zero: I’ve literally done this exact same thing before and it worked fine, but now I cannot figure why this time it is not working. Any ideas? (Note: I’ve also tried this with the Count field to no avail) Thanks! Justin

You’ve probably all seen the following warning by now: I’m guessing the deprecated behavior might still work well into 2022, but if you want to future-proof your scripts right now and/or depend on the old behavior, here’s the cleanest, functional way of mimicking it I’ve found so far: const table = base.getTable(yourTableName), fields = table.fields.map( f => f.name), query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({fields}) This particular destructuring syntax obviously depends on your scope being clean. But in practice, I’d usually just write this: const table = base.getTable(yourTableName), query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({ fields:table.fields.map(f=>f.name) }) Either way, I figured I’ll share this and ask if anyone has figured out a quicker method.

Hi, everyone. I was testing my automation with my team and I came across an issue when I had test emails sent. For some reason, the URL sometimes gets cut off and renders the link invalid. It looks almost as if the URL is cut off for it’s length, but I’m not aware that there’s any character limit for that field type. Has anyone gotten this problem? Is it possible that I may need to switch to a different field type? Any information would be helpful, thank you!
