You’ve probably all seen the following warning by now: I’m guessing the deprecated behavior might still work well into 2022, but if you want to future-proof your scripts right now and/or depend on the old behavior, here’s the cleanest, functional way of mimicking it I’ve found so far: const table = base.getTable(yourTableName), fields = table.fields.map( f => f.name), query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({fields}) This particular destructuring syntax obviously depends on your scope being clean. But in practice, I’d usually just write this: const table = base.getTable(yourTableName), query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({ fields:table.fields.map(f=>f.name) }) Either way, I figured I’ll share this and ask if anyone has figured out a quicker method.

Hi, everyone. I was testing my automation with my team and I came across an issue when I had test emails sent. For some reason, the URL sometimes gets cut off and renders the link invalid. It looks almost as if the URL is cut off for it’s length, but I’m not aware that there’s any character limit for that field type. Has anyone gotten this problem? Is it possible that I may need to switch to a different field type? Any information would be helpful, thank you!

Hello! Does anyone know what happened to the way you used to be able to see all tables in a base by clicking the ‘hamburger menu’? Now the box that pops up is empty, instead of being populated with all the tables in the base. How can I now easily jump to a new table in a base, or rearrange the order of the tables in a base? I have bases that have many, many tables…thanks!

I’m trying to just double the value of a field in another field. I have one field called “costs” and another field called “goal” that I want to double to let me know how much profit I should try to make from an event. I’ve tried: {Total Costs} * 2 Also putting the 2 in parenthesis, leaving out the spaces, etc. Nothing seems to work.

Hey there, looking to create a simple slug and for some reason the apostrophe isn’t being removed. Example Title: Zoom Fatigue is real, so let’s deal with it. So make lowercase, remove apostrophes remove commas, remove full stops and replace spaces with dashes (etc) is what I’m after. LOWER( SUBSTITUTE( SUBSTITUTE( SUBSTITUTE( SUBSTITUTE( {Name}, "'","" ), ",", "" ), ".", "" ), " ", "-" ) ) I cannot fathom why the apostrophe is not being removed. Hello! this is my first time using the scripting block and first time trying to use an API with code (I’ve used lots of no-code tools in the past; Zapier, Integromat etc.) I want to use a text field in my base to create a ‘tag’ in Toggl using the Toggl api; The Toggl API documentation looks good, and I think I understand most of it, but I don’t know how to actually start - what is the first think I need to write? I have three fields like this: | Start Date | Billing | Next Billing | In the Start Date field, there’s a past date In the Billing field, there’s a dropdown list with the values “Monthly”, “Quarterly”, “Semi-annually” and “Annually” In the Next Billing field, I want a formula that calculates next billing date based on the values in the two previous fields. Next Billing should always be a upcoming date (or today). Examples: If Start Date is “2018-01-01” and Billing is “Monthly”, I want Next Billing to say “2021-09-01” If Start Date is “2020-06-18” and Billing is “Semi-annually”, I want Next Billing to say “2021-12-18” If Start Date is “2016-10-24” and Billing is “Annually”, I want Next Billing to say “2021-10-24” I have tried to do this myself but I can’t work out how to do it. Hello, I am using this formula to display a red circle if a character count is over 310, or a green check if its not. I would like to add another condition but cannot get the syntax right, any help? Hello. I am trying to sync Airtable with Google Calendar. In the form of “Add” the URL of Airtable’s “Calendar view” to Google Calendar. However, there was one minor problem. Airtable’s “Date” field now selects Date format and Time format, no more options. However, it would be better if there is a “predefined” time slot for Time when actually entering Airtable’s Date. (For example, 10:00/14:00/19:00 or 10:00-13:00/14:00-17:00/19:00-22:00) Creating a “predefined” time slot like this is " Single Select Field", but this field cannot be used in Calendar View. Of course, I know that it is possible by using an automation tool such as Zapier or Integromat, but as much as possible, I try to subscribe the URL of Airtable’s “Calendar” as it is to Google Calendar. In short, is there any way to use predefined time slots in “Date Field”? Or is there any way to use “non-date” field in “Calendar view”?

Hi, I have two linked record columns. Our users use a custom app to link records to these columns.,I don’t want the users to link records directly from the columns but instead use the app. since we cannot restrict permissions to a column, is there a way to open the app when someone makes changes to a column? I am thinking an Automation when the record is updated and open the app from Autmation? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone! In a client’s base, they have a form where applicants essentially fill out a job application. Applicants upload their resume, and then I have an automation set up that pushes their demographic information into a “Contacts” table and the job-specific information, including their resume, into an “Applications” table. This works perfectly about 90% of the time. Seemingly randomly, some resumes aren’t appearing in the Applications table. When I look at the record history, I see this: Why would the automation add the resume only to immediately delete it? Has anyone run into this before?

Hello, I am trying to write an equation for total pallets used. If the total cartons is over 4it gets palletized. My equation is IF(Cartons > 4, ROUNDUP(Cartons/{Cartons per Pallet}), 0). but Airtable wont accept it. Any advice?

Trying to create a formula that adds x number of business days if priority is x. This is what I have so far: IF(Priority=“High”,WORKDAY({Writer Assignment Date},3, IF(Priority=“Normal”,WORKDAY({Writer Assignment Date},5, IF(Priority=“Low”,WORKDAY({Writer Assignment Date},10)))))) It accepts this formula, but populates with an “#ERROR” in some fields and blank in others. All fields have the required selections. Trying to create a due date field that is customized by priority. If it is high priority for instance, the person would need to complete the assignment within 3 business days by that date.

So I have a table with a field Client that references a record from another table. Client column as such can contain a value such as ['rec1234abc']. Now I want to do a filter to return all records that reference a specific record. I tried this (using the Python client): my_table.get_all(formula="ARRAYJOIN(Client, '')='rec1234abc'") But that returns me no results. How can I accomplish this?

In Automation “Find Records”, only 100 records get found for the subsequent action. What are the work arounds for updating more than 100 records?

The Vision App requires an API Key. The API Key is visible to all collaborators. Google specifies that API Keys should not be exposed in code, as this is a security problem. I attempted to “restrict” the API so that I could at least limit usage to airtable / vision. But I got an error related to OAuth. Am I misunderstanding something about the potential security implications? Why would this app be designed to keep the API exposed? Thanks for any advice!

Hi, any idea why is Vega-lite displaying the last month July 1 2022 of my table as the first month in my Chart, even before June 1 2021 ?!! this happen with whatever Date I start the table on.
