Hi Friends. I am looking for a way to have people select a time slot from a single select field when filling out a form, but then make that option unavailable to other people. When creating a form, you can choose which options are shown, but I can’t figure out how to automate changes to which options are shown. Any ideas? TYIA

I am trying to check to see if the Date column is empty, then if not, display the date’s weekday in the Day of Week column. Here’s my formula in the Day of Week column: IF({Date}!=BLANK(),DATETIME_FORMAT({Date},'dddd'),"") I do not understand why I am getting errors for all the blanks. I’ve tried several different versions of the formula above. Any help appreciated.

Hi There, I’m struggling to figure out a formula (if there is a suitable one available), and wondering if anyone can help. I have a spreadsheet to track subscriptions and when the next orders are due to go out - these are done at regular intervals; either 4-weekly, 6-weekly, 8-weekly or 3-monthly. Rather than having to update the next due date of the subscription for each order I would love to have a formula that can automatically update the next due date based on the start date e.g. if the order started on 01/07/21 on a 3-monthly subscription, then it would be able to update the next due date to 01/10/21. I would then like it to continue updating automatically, so when we get to 01/10/21 it would automatically update to 01/01/21. Is this possible? Or anything similar that doesn’t require it to be a completely manual process. Hi, I have a table with sub-categories where I want to be able to choose, from a multiple-select list, the lowest level and auto populate the higher level, e.g. if I choose “Banana” I want the higher level to automatically become “Fruit”. I have managed to do this with an IF-statement, but my solution doesn’t give such a user-fiendly filtering option. The IF-statement I have created returns the statement as a string, so when I want to filter the category I manually have to write in “Fruit”. I would instead like to filter it by selecting “Fruit” from a list (as you can do with for instance a multiple-select list). Is it possible to do this when autopopulating a field? Hi there, having a difficult time writing a formula, for an employee timesheet. Currently, I am the using DATETIME_DIFF formula to calculate the total amount of hours worked within a 14-day period. I’m using two date/time fields for each day (ex: Day 1 - Start, Day 1 - End), so my formula is embarrassingly long: DATETIME_DIFF({Day 1 - End}, {Day 1 - Start}, ‘hours’)+DATETIME_DIFF({Day 2 - End}, {DAY 2 - Start},‘hours’)+DATETIME_DIFF({Day 3 - End}, {Day 3 - Start},‘hours’)… and so on 11 more times. My issue is, we have some employees that don’t work the full 14 days, so I need a formula that will calculate their total hours, and if some START/END fields are left blank, it will result as a “0” in the overall calculation. I am a novice when it comes to formula writing, and have just started using Airtable this Summer. Any help or guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I am trying to create a simple rollup field that counts the number of check boxes from a linked table for attendance purposes. I create the rollup field like this: You can see that Abdelnasir and Aamir both have at least one check mark for attendance: However nothing changes and the rollup field shows zero: I’ve literally done this exact same thing before and it worked fine, but now I cannot figure why this time it is not working. Any ideas? (Note: I’ve also tried this with the Count field to no avail) Thanks! Justin

You’ve probably all seen the following warning by now: I’m guessing the deprecated behavior might still work well into 2022, but if you want to future-proof your scripts right now and/or depend on the old behavior, here’s the cleanest, functional way of mimicking it I’ve found so far: const table = base.getTable(yourTableName), fields = table.fields.map( f => f.name), query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({fields}) This particular destructuring syntax obviously depends on your scope being clean. But in practice, I’d usually just write this: const table = base.getTable(yourTableName), query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({ fields:table.fields.map(f=>f.name) }) Either way, I figured I’ll share this and ask if anyone has figured out a quicker method.

Hi, everyone. I was testing my automation with my team and I came across an issue when I had test emails sent. For some reason, the URL sometimes gets cut off and renders the link invalid. It looks almost as if the URL is cut off for it’s length, but I’m not aware that there’s any character limit for that field type. Has anyone gotten this problem? Is it possible that I may need to switch to a different field type? Any information would be helpful, thank you!

Hello! Does anyone know what happened to the way you used to be able to see all tables in a base by clicking the ‘hamburger menu’? Now the box that pops up is empty, instead of being populated with all the tables in the base. How can I now easily jump to a new table in a base, or rearrange the order of the tables in a base? I have bases that have many, many tables…thanks!

I’m trying to just double the value of a field in another field. I have one field called “costs” and another field called “goal” that I want to double to let me know how much profit I should try to make from an event. I’ve tried: {Total Costs} * 2 Also putting the 2 in parenthesis, leaving out the spaces, etc. Nothing seems to work.

Hey there, looking to create a simple slug and for some reason the apostrophe isn’t being removed. Example Title: Zoom Fatigue is real, so let’s deal with it. So make lowercase, remove apostrophes remove commas, remove full stops and replace spaces with dashes (etc) is what I’m after. Hello! this is my first time using the scripting block and first time trying to use an API with code (I’ve used lots of no-code tools in the past; Zapier, Integromat etc.) I want to use a text field in my base to create a ‘tag’ in Toggl using the Toggl api; The Toggl API documentation looks good, and I think I understand most of it, but I don’t know how to actually start - what is the first think I need to write? I have three fields like this: | Start Date | Billing | Next Billing | In the Start Date field, there’s a past date In the Billing field, there’s a dropdown list with the values “Monthly”, “Quarterly”, “Semi-annually” and “Annually” In the Next Billing field, I want a formula that calculates next billing date based on the values in the two previous fields. Next Billing should always be a upcoming date (or today). Examples: If Start Date is “2018-01-01” and Billing is “Monthly”, I want Next Billing to say “2021-09-01” If Start Date is “2020-06-18” and Billing is “Semi-annually”, I want Next Billing to say “2021-12-18” If Start Date is “2016-10-24” and Billing is “Annually”, I want Next Billing to say “2021-10-24” I have tried to do this myself but I can’t work out how to do it. Hello. I am trying to sync Airtable with Google Calendar. In the form of “Add” the URL of Airtable’s “Calendar view” to Google Calendar. However, there was one minor problem. Airtable’s “Date” field now selects Date format and Time format, no more options. However, it would be better if there is a “predefined” time slot for Time when actually entering Airtable’s Date. (For example, 10:00/14:00/19:00 or 10:00-13:00/14:00-17:00/19:00-22:00) Creating a “predefined” time slot like this is " Single Select Field", but this field cannot be used in Calendar View. Of course, I know that it is possible by using an automation tool such as Zapier or Integromat, but as much as possible, I try to subscribe the URL of Airtable’s “Calendar” as it is to Google Calendar. In short, is there any way to use predefined time slots in “Date Field”? Or is there any way to use “non-date” field in “Calendar view”?

Hi, I have two linked record columns. Our users use a custom app to link records to these columns.,I don’t want the users to link records directly from the columns but instead use the app. since we cannot restrict permissions to a column, is there a way to open the app when someone makes changes to a column? I am thinking an Automation when the record is updated and open the app from Autmation? Thanks in advance
