Hello! I’m looking to create a calculated field that shows me the number of days it takes to complete a record. The start date should be when the record is created, and the end date will be based on a dropdown field’s value (e.g. when the status field is set to “complete”). My thinking is that I need to create three formula fields: The date when a record is created (I’ve managed to achieve this part). The date when the status dropdown field is set to “complete”. The difference between the two dates in days (I’ve managed to achieve this part). So basically I’m missing how to create the 2nd field. Am I approaching this the wrong way? Is there a better way to show this report that doesn’t involve using an app add-on? Thank you!

Hello! I am brand new to Airtable scripting and trying to get a very simple script to work with no luck. What I am trying to accomplish is to have a use click a button then run a script to update 2 fields on that record. I have pieced this together and it doesn’t show any specific error but also doesn’t change the field (I am starting with only one first to see if I can get this working). I am building a list of Italian verbs. It grows as my knowledge of Italian does. Currently I have the six persons for each verb in the present tense only. (io - I, tu - you, lui/lei - he/she, voi - we, noi - you, loro - they). I want to start adding other tenses like past for example. But it occurs to me that it might be better design to have the six persons and then have each of them contain the tenses. So a table of persons, each containing several tense fields. Then in the main table, I would want to be able to sort or group by either. I may not be explaining this correctly. Apologies. Can I do this in my Base? Do I need to add an app? Thanks.

Hello! Can anyone advise on the IF formula to state if a date has passed a number of days? So if the date in “DATE” column is more than 60 days ago, then :white_check_mark: or :no_entry: . I’ve been looking through date and time functions in the Formula Field Reference, plus lots of posts in this community, but haven’t been able to find an answer that works. I’ve got a formula to display the number of days since, and looked into creating a view filtering for those above 60 days (that didn’t work anyway), but I would prefer it to just display :white_check_mark: (60 days or more) or :no_entry: (less than 60 days). The first half of the setup texts fine, but then the second half (the actual email) keeps giving me an error message- see image. My email says it is set up, both in Airtable and in gmail. Hello, I’m trying to get a formula working to determine age in years with one decimal place. The date is in a column called “Created”, the formula I’ve got is: DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), Created,'years') & ' years' Can anyone help add the decimal place so the result for example is “1.2 years”? Hi, I previously posted a topic (see below) and @Justin_Barrett has answered the topic to my satisfaction. However, when trying this solution with dates, I can not get it to work. I looked it over multiple times but I’m at a loss here. Is it possible to do this with dates (so am I doing something wrong?) or is there another solution? Thanks in advance for any insight from the AT community! I have a base that includes a bunch of school enrollment information. Some is static/historical, and some is updated monthly. There is one table that with the list of schools as the primary key, and those schools are linked in another table for monthly enrollment tracking. From the latter is a form that schools complete to enter their monthly enrollment information. The form submission has a “Date Created” field. I want to be able to provide the updated enrollment total based on the MOST RECENT entry date. Because different schools provide there updates on any given date of the month (and some haven’t submitted since the previous month), I can’t just filter by date because I will lose some data. For instance, if I put a filter on the date for the last month, it won’t catch a school that last submitted five weeks ago. Hello, can I use date DD-MMM-YY date format like I can with Jotform? Some services will only use the American date format, so I like to use MMM for the month letters, otherwise it’s very easy to mix up the day and month. Tomorrow for example is 10/9/21 - that’s 10th September, unless you’re American then it’s 9th October… sorry, I mean October 9th. I know I can use “friendly format” which shows the full length of the day and month (i.e “Friday, 10th September, 2021”) and cuts off half the date unless the column is unnecessarily wide. Can I get a second pair of eyes on my script? Expected behavior is that a user can click a button on any record in the “People” table, and it will create a record in the “Payouts” table, linked to People by a lookup field called “Person” I don’t get any error messages when I run this script, but I also don’t get any new records in the “Payouts” table. And I’m the only user on the license, so I don’t think it would be a permissions error. Can you see anything I’m missing? I just found the vega-lite block today and am trying to get a stacked bar graph using 2 fields. I stumbled onto the fold example (Fold | Vega-Lite) and was able to convert it to stacked instead of columns… and it looks like exactly what I want inside the vega-lite editor. But inside airtable, it seems that it doesn’t like the return “key” and “value” from the fold command. I’m designing a CRM using a series of Airtable Automations when I change the status of a record in company table (or contact table) to “in progress” (a single select field) a new record in the Opportunity table gets created. This is working fine. my problem is that I can’t figure out to do it in reverse: so when the opportunity resolves as “sale” or “no sale” I want the single select fields in the Company/Contact tables to automatically update accordingly (“sale” → “client” / “no sale” - > “not a client”) I first create a “when a record matches conditions” trigger (when stage is “no sale”) I then go on to create an “Update Record” Action but then I can’t find the correct fields. I chose the table where the action should happen but when I hit the “plus” sign I am shown fields in a different table.

Hi everyone, My goal here is to allow my master inventory list to have a dynamic price based on the most recent purchased price of an item. Hi! This is my table: https://airtable.com/shr0FiM4g1quNwnpG. It’s a table of our customers’ active licenses. Each license continue to be active until the customer calls us and terminates it. Then we remove the record from the table. Start day = The date the customer signed the license. Notice period (days) = The amount of days in which the customer need to terminate it’s license in advance. Otherwise the license is continued for another Agreement period. Agreement period (months) = The amount of months the customer is tied to it’s license. Tied until = The date the customer is tied to it’s license, I.e. Start day + Agreement period (months). The problem: I want the last field, Current possible termination date, to calculate a future date, that is the last day the customer is allowed to terminate it’s license. This date should be dynamic and based on today’s date and the criteria in the other fields. I’ve included some examples to show how it’s supposed to be calculated. Please let me

Hi everyone, I want to use Airtable to make shopping order for a store. I have 4 tables: List of products (Airtable - Grid view) Supplier list Price list: for each product, I indicate the price at each supplier (Airtable - Grid view) Purchase order Airtable - Grid view The problem is on this last table. I indicate the product I want, the supplier, and I would like to have a column that searches for the price of this product, for this supplier, in the price table. Hello! I want to have a Formula as the Secondary Field. Now the Formula is: CONCATENATE(“PR-”,Autonumber,"/",YEAR(TODAY())) The “Autonumber” is a Field as Autonumber. How can I achieve, that the “Autonumber” in the CONCATENATE is always 4 digits long, independent of it’s length. Besides that I want only the two second digits of the year.
