Hi community! Is it possible to trigger a built-in Airtable automation (example: Create a custom automation) when a button is clicked? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I have been using Airtable together with one collaborator for a while and reached record limit on one of my bases. Unfortunately, I think the service has a rather steep cost rise for users like me that have few basic bases with one collaborator only but who surpass a thousand records x base. I am currently paying for premium services but none of them is $20 x month with the prospect of having to upgrade to $40 sometime soon. I was thinking of excluding my collaborator from the base workplace (making him not billable) and hence cutting my costs to half. Before doing that, I need to be extra SURE that my base data will remain as it is, and if I eliminate him I won’t lose any records and changes HE had previously made to my base. Can anyone please advise me on how to proceed? Thanks so much.

Hi there, I am using a formula field to pull the time stamp (and t-zone) from a Date and Time field. I am using this formula currently: DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_TIMEZONE({Day 1 - Start}, ‘America/Los_Angeles’), ‘h:mm a’). This works wonderfully, however, if the time and date field is blank (which, in my case, does happen) my time stamp field shows #ERROR. How can I add to this formula so it knows to leave the field blank if the date and time field is blank? Would appreciate all and any help on this. Daniel

Hi, as the title says, is it possible to remove the stickiness of primary tables while scrolling horizontally? It’s irritating because sometimes a field that’s hidden behind it seems to be having a blank title while it’s only hidden. So is there a way? I didn’t find the option to when I right clicked on it. TYIA.

Progressing with Javascript and airtable, was distracted with the thought - can I gear a scripting app button to open a link? I know I that the button fields can open links within a base (but annoyingly their labels can’t be configured on a per record basis). Hey all! I’m stumped. I have a “Link to” column compiling every testing date, then a “Most Recent Test Date” rollup column using MAX (VALUES) to list back what the most recent date is. However, sometimes we schedule testing dates in advance. HOW do I get a column to determine what the most recent testing date is before TODAY? Thanks so much!!!

Hi there, I’m using airtable to compare an actual quantity with a goal quantity, then using an If, Then statement to tell me whether I’m at my goal, need to increase, or need to decrease my actual. Here’s my current formula: IF({% of total}={Goal % of total}, "OK", IF({% of total}>{Goal % of total}, "Trim", "Expand")) This is working fine, but what I would really like is if I were able to specify a range for values that are “close enough” to the goal. For example if {% of total} is plus or minus 0.5 of the goal, I want it to return OK. Anyone have any thoughts on how to do this? Thanks in advance!

Pretty much what the title says. We have a role in the company that is going to be split. One of the users / accounts was given “Creator” status, and we need to change it back to “Editor”. I’ve done that, but the account can still do all of the things that a Creator can do. Is there a known issue about this problem?

This is a tough one to describe in one sentence. Basically, I have a group of people who “sponsor” one another. There is no real hierarchy. Person A could sponsor Person B who could sponsor Person C who could Sponsor Person A. Some Sponsors might have multiple Sponsees. So I have one field, “Name”, and another Field “Their Sponsor” that links to the Name field. So I can see each Sponsee’s Sponsor, and what I would like is a way to see each Sponsor’s Sponsees, ideally in the same table. And, ideally, when the field “Their Sponsor” is updated, the “Sponsor’s Sponsees” field is automatically updated. Thanks in advance.

I have a formula field that takes 2 datetime fields and creates a “week overview” with them. But value of [Day] 11:59pm in the End Date field seems to round the day up to the next day, which is misleading. Earlier today I responded to a question from a new user here, explaining how she could hide a field on a locked view and keep the field hidden from non-creator users by making it visible only on a personal view configured by the creator. I then had to add that this is security theater (I think that’s the phrase we use these days) because in truth, any user with editor or commenter privileges can simply duplicate the locked view as a new personal view, which they can then configure to their heart’s content–including making visible the fields that the base creator wanted hidden. After posting my response, I began to feel uneasy, so I looked into this a little more deeply than I have before, and I’m a bit disappointed by what I’ve found. I’m praying someone here tells me that I didn’t look deep enough–that there are better answers to my concerns. Hello Everyone, I have tried watching some videos to no avail… I have a CRM base with many tables. One is [Leads] which I populate with as many different fields as possible to qualify the company. Since I take the time to populate many fields, I then dig into the company and decide if I want to pass them along to sales but I do not want to loose the history of companies I have researched. So I have a pass/fail check box field that is filtered so only the pass appear in that view. I have this table linked with [Sales] so they can enter into the linked field and simply “pull in” leads from the [Leads] table from the + POP Up window. What I would like to have happen is when the sales team brings that record into the [Sales] table it “disappears” from the [Leads] table so it is no longer available. Hello! I’m trying to merge the data from 2 separate fields whenever they are updated into another field to keep a history of those changes. The first field is date and time, the second field is a single select of location. Ideally, this information would just automatically copy to the next line down of a long text field whenever it’s changed. I have no idea the best way to go about this. Hello All, I have the following script that I use to create links between tables based on the “ID,” which is consistent between the two tables. Typically, I run this script manually every few days or so, but I have recently discovered the “Run a Script” automation, which would completely eliminate the need for manually clicking the “Run Script” button. However, the following script throws an error every time I test the automation (which is when a new record in the “Enrollment” table is created, the script is supposed to run). I’ve gathered that this is an issue with certain functions not being recognized in the automation, however I do not know how to fix this. Hi All, Im not sure if this has been asked before. I tried searching for it but could not find a solution. So here it goes. Im trying to do a simple recurring monthly subscription record. For Example: John is billed every 13th of the month. On his record there is a checkbox, bill date and next bill date. The next billdate is a formula that adds 30 days from the bill date. I have created a view called Monthly. When John makes a payment, the check box will be checked and it will appear on the monthly view. I wanted to uncheck this boc 7 days before the next bill date and how do I update the next bill date so it would add 30 days everytime? Any suggestions?

I have a projects table where I link multiple records from a resources table. The linked records (resources) have different attributes (e.g. aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd) that come from a “single-select” field. My challenge now is to find projects where resources of a special attribute (e.g. bbb) are linked. Is there a function/formula field I could use to color records in my view? I’m not the full Expert on automation or formulas, but I think of a formula that goes to the link of the record, looks for the attribute, and then makes it possible to color or maybe write a “true/false” to another field and I color/filter/group for that. Currently the only solution I could find is to separate the resource-link field into a "link “bbb” resources here (links based on a filtered view) and all other resources on another field. Thus I see in a coulum quickly if a resource with the attribute “bbb” is linked. I don’t like this approach as I want to have all resources linked to a project in one field. It wou

The URL to attachment script has stopped working for me completely. It seemingly add files from URLs at first, but then, a few seconds later, deletes all attachments. This alarmingly also happens when I use automations to add attachments from URLs Both of these methods have worked perfectly fine all other times I’ve needed it.

Hello! I am trying to figure out how to apply a unique ID when entering a form so you can see where it was clicked from. I have a store where each row in Airtable posts a new object for sale. I want the ‘purchase item’ button to lead to a form where they can fill in all their information but I can’t figure out how to assign some sort of unique ID so that I can correlate the item they want to buy to the information they put into the form. Is anything like this achievable or is there any advice? Thanks so much for anything and everything!

Hello community! I have streetdance school and this year im doing database with airtable (amazing next to the numbers :slightly_smiling_face: ). Id like to put price for each member of my school. I have collumn with multiple selection (for ex.: streetdance, breakdance, contemporary) and for each course is different payment. Is possilbe to put pricetag for every selection and if i choose any of styles there would be amount of payment. if streetdance would be $40, breaking $50, contemporary $60 member 1 choose streetdance > automaticaly 50 member 2 choose streetdance + breaking > automaticaly 90 member 3 choose streetdance + contemporary > automaticaly 100 is that possible?
