Hello! I’m trying to merge the data from 2 separate fields whenever they are updated into another field to keep a history of those changes. The first field is date and time, the second field is a single select of location. Ideally, this information would just automatically copy to the next line down of a long text field whenever it’s changed. I have no idea the best way to go about this. Hello All, I have the following script that I use to create links between tables based on the “ID,” which is consistent between the two tables. Typically, I run this script manually every few days or so, but I have recently discovered the “Run a Script” automation, which would completely eliminate the need for manually clicking the “Run Script” button. However, the following script throws an error every time I test the automation (which is when a new record in the “Enrollment” table is created, the script is supposed to run). I’ve gathered that this is an issue with certain functions not being recognized in the automation, however I do not know how to fix this. Hi All, Im not sure if this has been asked before. I tried searching for it but could not find a solution. So here it goes. Im trying to do a simple recurring monthly subscription record. For Example: John is billed every 13th of the month. On his record there is a checkbox, bill date and next bill date. The next billdate is a formula that adds 30 days from the bill date. I have created a view called Monthly. When John makes a payment, the check box will be checked and it will appear on the monthly view. I wanted to uncheck this boc 7 days before the next bill date and how do I update the next bill date so it would add 30 days everytime? Any suggestions?

I have a projects table where I link multiple records from a resources table. The linked records (resources) have different attributes (e.g. aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd) that come from a “single-select” field. My challenge now is to find projects where resources of a special attribute (e.g. bbb) are linked. Is there a function/formula field I could use to color records in my view? I’m not the full Expert on automation or formulas, but I think of a formula that goes to the link of the record, looks for the attribute, and then makes it possible to color or maybe write a “true/false” to another field and I color/filter/group for that. Currently the only solution I could find is to separate the resource-link field into a "link “bbb” resources here (links based on a filtered view) and all other resources on another field. Thus I see in a coulum quickly if a resource with the attribute “bbb” is linked. I don’t like this approach as I want to have all resources linked to a project in one field. It wou

The URL to attachment script has stopped working for me completely. It seemingly add files from URLs at first, but then, a few seconds later, deletes all attachments. This alarmingly also happens when I use automations to add attachments from URLs Both of these methods have worked perfectly fine all other times I’ve needed it.

Hello! I am trying to figure out how to apply a unique ID when entering a form so you can see where it was clicked from. I have a store where each row in Airtable posts a new object for sale. I want the ‘purchase item’ button to lead to a form where they can fill in all their information but I can’t figure out how to assign some sort of unique ID so that I can correlate the item they want to buy to the information they put into the form. Is anything like this achievable or is there any advice? Thanks so much for anything and everything!

Hello community! I have streetdance school and this year im doing database with airtable (amazing next to the numbers :slightly_smiling_face: ). Id like to put price for each member of my school. I have collumn with multiple selection (for ex.: streetdance, breakdance, contemporary) and for each course is different payment. Is possilbe to put pricetag for every selection and if i choose any of styles there would be amount of payment. if streetdance would be $40, breaking $50, contemporary $60 member 1 choose streetdance > automaticaly 50 member 2 choose streetdance + breaking > automaticaly 90 member 3 choose streetdance + contemporary > automaticaly 100 is that possible? I am evaluating productivity of another team in AirTable. The team in question enters their projects and tasks into AirTable, however many Task start dates were not entered by users. Is it possible to export the date each task was entered to AirTable in a fairly simple way, or is it impossible to collect that data retroactively without already having an API set up? Thanks.

I am trying to make a quote builder in an “opportunity table” The way I do it is I mark a company/contact (in their respective tables) as “in progress” and a record gets created in another table (called Opportunities). in there I link to a products table and delivery table (the products are ad spaces, the delivery are the publications/issues) and then I add lookup fields and counting fields to make one quote. I have made 4 copies of this to be able to put together multiple offers for the client to chose from. After filling out fields, I would like to be able to click a button for the quotes to aggregate to a pdf (or straight into the body of the e-mail) and sends it to the contact. I know there’s a solution similar to this for contracts that requires two other apps (zapier and helloSign) but I’m wondering if there’s a way of doing this without the extra apps.

Hey! I am struggling to search records in integromat. I have a table with field Status and Last Modified Status autofield. When I try to fetch data with integromat with formula everything is ok: ({Last Modified Status}) but when I add condition to the formula: ({Last Modified Status} <= "{{addDays(now; -30)}}") it fails with: The formula for filtering records is invalid: Unknown field names: last modified status I also tried this formula with the same error: IS_AFTER({Last Modified Status}, "{{addDays(now; -30)}}") Any ideas how to fix this error?

Hello! I’m looking to create a calculated field that shows me the number of days it takes to complete a record. The start date should be when the record is created, and the end date will be based on a dropdown field’s value (e.g. when the status field is set to “complete”). My thinking is that I need to create three formula fields: The date when a record is created (I’ve managed to achieve this part). The date when the status dropdown field is set to “complete”. The difference between the two dates in days (I’ve managed to achieve this part). So basically I’m missing how to create the 2nd field. Am I approaching this the wrong way? Is there a better way to show this report that doesn’t involve using an app add-on? Thank you!

Hello! I am brand new to Airtable scripting and trying to get a very simple script to work with no luck. What I am trying to accomplish is to have a use click a button then run a script to update 2 fields on that record. I have pieced this together and it doesn’t show any specific error but also doesn’t change the field (I am starting with only one first to see if I can get this working). I am building a list of Italian verbs. It grows as my knowledge of Italian does. Currently I have the six persons for each verb in the present tense only. (io - I, tu - you, lui/lei - he/she, voi - we, noi - you, loro - they). I want to start adding other tenses like past for example. But it occurs to me that it might be better design to have the six persons and then have each of them contain the tenses. So a table of persons, each containing several tense fields. Then in the main table, I would want to be able to sort or group by either. I may not be explaining this correctly. Apologies. Can I do this in my Base? Do I need to add an app? Thanks.

Hello! Can anyone advise on the IF formula to state if a date has passed a number of days? So if the date in “DATE” column is more than 60 days ago, then :white_check_mark: or :no_entry: . I’ve been looking through date and time functions in the Formula Field Reference, plus lots of posts in this community, but haven’t been able to find an answer that works. I’ve got a formula to display the number of days since, and looked into creating a view filtering for those above 60 days (that didn’t work anyway), but I would prefer it to just display :white_check_mark: (60 days or more) or :no_entry: (less than 60 days). The first half of the setup texts fine, but then the second half (the actual email) keeps giving me an error message- see image. My email says it is set up, both in Airtable and in gmail. The date is in a column called “Created”, the formula I’ve got is: DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), Created,'years') & ' years' Can anyone help add the decimal place so the result for example is “1.2 years”? I looked it over multiple times but I’m at a loss here. Is it possible to do this with dates (so am I doing something wrong?) or is there another solution? Thanks in advance for any insight from the AT community! I have a base that includes a bunch of school enrollment information. Some is static/historical, and some is updated monthly. There is one table that with the list of schools as the primary key, and those schools are linked in another table for monthly enrollment tracking. From the latter is a form that schools complete to enter their monthly enrollment information. The form submission has a “Date Created” field. I want to be able to provide the updated enrollment total based on the MOST RECENT entry date. Because different schools provide there updates on any given date of the month (and some haven’t submitted since the previous month), I can’t just filter by date because I will lose some data. For instance, if I put a filter on the date for the last month, it won’t catch a school that last submitted five weeks ago. Hello, can I use date DD-MMM-YY date format like I can with Jotform? Some services will only use the American date format, so I like to use MMM for the month letters, otherwise it’s very easy to mix up the day and month. Tomorrow for example is 10/9/21 - that’s 10th September, unless you’re American then it’s 9th October… sorry, I mean October 9th. I know I can use “friendly format” which shows the full length of the day and month (i.e “Friday, 10th September, 2021”) and cuts off half the date unless the column is unnecessarily wide. Can I get a second pair of eyes on my script? Expected behavior is that a user can click a button on any record in the “People” table, and it will create a record in the “Payouts” table, linked to People by a lookup field called “Person” I don’t get any error messages when I run this script, but I also don’t get any new records in the “Payouts” table. And I’m the only user on the license, so I don’t think it would be a permissions error. Can you see anything I’m missing? Hi. I am using Airtable Desktop app on Macbook Air M1. When I expanded a row to view in details, there were hidden fields that I can’t scroll to the bottom. Below is the example screenshot. Anybody else having the same issue? How can I solve this issue? Thank you.

I have the following options in a multiselect field with: Table sample options: first row: “$5,400” & “10,400” second row: “10,400” & “Promo” How can I extract the first option; for first row would be “$5,400” and for second row should be “$10,400” Thank fo your help.
