Hello. I have a lookup field which lists the age groups that are related to all the linked records. I have a formula field which I’d like to show ‘Senior’ if the lookup field contains Senior, ‘Intermediate’ if it contains Intermediate (but not Senior) and ‘Junior’ if it only contains Junior. The formula I’m using is this: IF( FIND( ‘Senior’, {Lookup Correct Section} ), ‘Senior’, IF( FIND( ‘Intermediate’, {Lookup Correct Section} ), ‘Intermediate’, IF( FIND( ‘Junior’, {Lookup Correct Section} ), ‘Junior’ ) ) ) If it is listed “Intermediate, Senior” then the formula works perfectly however if it is “Senior, Intermediate” then it returns Intermediate (even though Senior is in there). I’m sure it’s something really simple that

I’m using Python API Wrapper. When I use get() method to retrieve a record that contains a ‘Link to Another Field’ Column, the method returns the linked record ID. I would like to get the linked record name instead. My next step will be to do a 2nd operation to look up each record (by id) and get the name. But I wonder if there is an easier way that I’m overlooking. If not, any recommendations about an efficient way to do this with Python / Pandas would be appreciated.

Hi, I’m trying to build an IF statement with an OR in it but I’m not getting the expected result. I have created a simple table for tracking hours worked and calculates overtime. Columns are as follows… Date - is just the date in question. Calculate Weekday - WEEKDAY(Date) So far so good. Because the standard work hours vary from day to day (7.5 for Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu / 7.25 for Fri / 0 for Sat, Sun), I wanted to create an IF query to return the correct hours for that day number. Rather than going overboard with nested IF, I tried to simplify to the following, but the OR in this doesn’t seem to be doing what I expected… IF(WEEKDAY(Date)=5,7.25,IF(WEEKDAY(Date)=OR(1,2,3,4),7.50,0)) From what I can see, the day 5, 0 & 6 work okay. But my problem comes with the OR as only day 1 works; the rest come back as 0 hours. Am I misusing this function? I was expecting the OR to then return 7.50 fo all of 1,2,3, and 4.

In airtable, I have an “Order Line Item” table in my “Sales” base that links to a record from the “Inventory” table from the “Inventory” base. This linked record column is called “Inventory ID”. It also has a linked record to my “Order” table in the “Sales” base. –order line item table– In integromat, I have a “Create Record” airbase tool. When I manually put in the Order ID, that creates the new order line item record no problem. But when I manually put in the Inventory ID record, it says it doesn’t exist. And, I’ve tried both the POST API and the Create Record tool. –synced inventory table– –integromat scenario excerpt– Is this a bug in the airtable API?

Hello! Here is the situation: I have a free plan and have created an Airtable base that I plan to embed on a website that is public facing. I noticed, when I look at the embedded view preview, that if you hover over the views on the left hand side (e.g. gallery view or grid view) you can see my name and email. Is there a way to anonymize this so that users of the Airtable can not see my email address? Thanks for your help!

Hi, Sorry in advance for the long post, but I think it may be important for context. I’m creating a base for HR and figuring out the best way to structure the base. Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish and my dilemma. I have two entities (still figuring out if these should be separate tables or within the same table, which is why I’m referring to them as entities). (1) Employees and (2) Onboarding tasks. Employees will have their own properties so fields like name, position, date of joining, and a ton of other fields. Onboarding tasks also have a bunch of properties such as task description, applicable to (FTE/PTE), responsible for task (HR or Employee since HR has to perform some of the tasks and there are other tasks that the employee must perform) and a bunch of other onboarding task fields. Hi everyone, Right now I have following options to share: Using “Share” button: This only allows to share entire Workspace or entire Base. Using “Share View”: This option creates a view where I can’t provide the ability to accept comments. But what I want is to share a view with the ability to get comments on the records I shared. Just added the Scripting app and am trying to write my first script: to create a new field of hyper-linked text (“Opportunity”) from existing text (“Program”) and url (“Website URL”) fields in my table. I found this suggested solution and adapted it to my table like this: The problem: it works on only about 10 percent of my records: I’d appreciate any suggestions for how to make this work for all records, or an alternate method. What is the significance of “selectRecordsAsync” showing as struck through after I run the script? Is this a problem with the script not waiting for calculations? I am trying to create a booking tool for oral examination. I managed to create a form where the student can select a hour of his/her choice (in a list) and when submitted, that time slot is no longer available for other students. So far so good. But I noticed that students can add+ multiple slots; I would like this to be limited to 1. How can I fix this? Additionally is there a way that students can only submit the form once?

Our organization has several different bases for the different functional areas (sales, marketing, operations, product etc). Each of these bases has linked tables for projects and tasks. I am looking to create a master base with tables that merge all of the tasks, and all of the projects from the other bases. I can see how to sync tables separately from other bases but I’d like to be able to merge them into a single table. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello! I am trying to troubleshoot a formula field. Currently I have this in the formula field: CONCATENATE({Part}," | “,{Objective},” ",{#}) to create the following: Looking at the first record, the result reads: Part 1: Competent Leader | Heart 1 However, I would like create a search that allows the final formula to read as such: Part 1 | Heart 1 I want it to be able to search the {Part} field, but not list the entire title - if that makes sense. Seems simple enough, but I had problems using the Find or Search field.

I am attempting to create a Form to standardize intake parameters for a receiving team. I would like to know which user is responsible for submitting each record. Currently i am unable to find a way utilizing the Form view to have the user ID auto populated when that user accesses the form. Is this something that is possible. The only work around we have found for this is to create unique prefill URLs for each user, which is not ideal and still allows the user to manually modify that info.

Hello all Here is my situation: I have collaborators working on TableFoo on a certain amount of items. When they are done on an item, they change the status and other collaborators take over on it. This other team is working on TableBar To ease the process, I need to add an Automation action that looks for this status change and creates a record in TableBar whenever it’s triggered. Problem is, one of the field I need to transfer over is a MultiSelect Field and when I use the createRecordAsync() function as follow, I receive an error let newRecordID = await TableBar.createRecordAsync({ "Tags":TableFooRecord.getCellValue("Tags"), }); The error is obviously that the “Tags” field of TableBar does not have the same choices as TableFoo. I read that the Automation is not able to use ‘typecast = true’. So I thought “fine, I’ll just add step that updates the option of this field in TableBar to have all from TableFoo and I’ll be good”. Hi, everyone! I’m sure this has a simple answer, but as a non-developer - I could use some help! I currently have a few webhooks for Zapier and Integromat programmed into button fields in my base. Their function is working just fine; however, each time the webhook is sent, I get a success message in a new window. I appreciate the confirmation, but when I am processing hundreds of records in one sitting, this becomes extremely annoying. Is there any way to get my webhook to run without the success message? Or any recommendations for alternate solutions? I know it’s possible to have a button or an automation run a script, but I don’t know how to create a script to send a webhook. Hi, How can I add formula which autoadds date field to be +1 day to date field in previous record? I am working on content publishing base and want to automate publishing date field. For example: in record 1, my date field is: 10/13/2021 and I need formula which gives date 10/14/2021 in record 2 and 10/15/2021 in record 3. Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I’m getting crypto prices from the Coinmarketcap API and the prices have 12 decimal places E.g. $0.000000007269 However, when I fetch the prices into Airtable, the field [Prices] has precision set to 1.0000000 - 7 places and missing the remaining 5 places. Hi there, I adapted the below script by @Justin_Barrett. Everything was working great until I added a few hundred new records to the ‘TaskLog’ table. The script now throws this error: Exceeded quota of 15 mutations per second at main on line 20: let result = await table.selectRecordsAsync() In addition, the run time is now 23.8/30s - also an error for my purposes - as any run time that goes over say 6-seconds will make the script unusable. Can anyone tell me exactly how to edit the script to include batch processing or another solution that will solve the two errors at hand? I have a a Multiple Select Field which I am trying to substitute spaces with hyphens. The issue that I am running against is that the is space between items and the formula adds an extra hyphen in the final result. Hey there, My production team is using one base to handle our production. (supply, suppliers etc) One table in this base is dedicated to our PRODUCTS. We have one column for price (currency type). An other table, in this same base, is dedicated to VARIANTS. It is simply a linked record to a PRODUCT and a size. The price is “looked up” from product, and thus is showing as a currency type on the variant record. On the other side, the SALES team is sync the VARIANTS table from production to another base (SALES) to get a list of all of our product. To create a sale in the LINE ITEMS table, they pick a VARIANT from the synced table in their base. They write a quantity. And obviously the quantity should be multiplied by the VARIANT PRICE to have the line price. My problem : in the synced table (in SALES base), the price is shown as a TEXT. Hello, I’m originally a programmer but I’m completely new to Airtable and the script syntax. Basically, I have a PHP file somewhere in my server that makes a GET request to Twitch and gets the follower count of any channel. Now, I have in Airtable a list of Twitch users, with their username. What I want do to is to pass the username to my URL so that the PHP script in my server does the rest, and, posts a simple ECHO with the number of followers. Then I’ll just grab the number to update my field. A bit more graphically: Grab the ‘username’ field from my table ‘table’. Append it to my external URL, i.e. “https://mycoolphpscript.com?user=username” Launch the query, fetch the output, which is just a PHP echo with just a number as output, i.e. “458” (followers) - actually if you paste the URL in your browser you’d also get “458” since there’s just a PHP echo in the background. Update my ‘followers’ field with the result. I know how to do 1, 2 and 4, but I have no idea how to do number 3.
