Hey there, I would love a bit of help with an issue I have been struggling with: I have large data set containing keywords / descriptive tags to describe/classify the designs on our webshop juniqe.com, they are stored on a table called Image Keywords in my base, whereas the designs they are related to are on a table called DESIGNS I wrote the script below to merge the duplicate entries in the keyword table, since these records hold much information other than the linked record to DESIGNS. I’d like to believe that the script does the following cycle through all the records and compare the current records main field to the others, using the field Name (EN) as comparison value (the keywords english translation) If a duplicate has been found, combine the linked records of both the instances the script has found, and write them back to the first instance Clear the linked record field of the second instance (the comparison record) and mark that record with a checkbox field called DUPE to in

Hi everyone! I’m setting up an automation for my team that will send an e-mail for our stakeholders based on a trigger. Right now we already have a few similar automations running, in which the action is the airtable native “Send E-mail”, and it sends an e-mail based off our team’s outlook inbox. Now I’ve noticed that airtable also has an integration with outlook that allows for an action “Send E-mail”. So I’ve been wondering: what’s the difference between sending an e-mail with airtable “send e-mail” and Outlook’s integration (considering that I’ll always use an outlook inbox)? Thanks!

Hello, first of all, the Airtable API documentation is great. That said, closely following the example code, i’m trying to understand how I might do something functional with the retrieve method. If one of them is missing, i want to show the other, if both are missing, i want to keep it blank, and if both are full i want to concantenate them. This is my formula syntax but its not working. Hello, I’m trying to create a formula field that will return a value of “Overdue” or “In Progress” based on the values of 2 other fields: Writer Due Date and Status. Here’s what I’m trying to achieve: IF the Status is any of the following: In Progress, Awaiting Information (Outreach 1), Awaiting Information (Outreach 2), Awaiting Information (Outreach 3), AND the Writer Due Date is BEFORE the provided deadline, then the field returns “In Progress”. IF the Status is any of the following: In Progress, Awaiting Information (Outreach 1), Awaiting Information (Outreach 2), Awaiting Information (Outreach 3), AND the Writer Due Date is AFTER the provided deadline, then the field returns “Overdue”. I have a table for physical addresses and a formula field to convert linked records to an array. Below is an example of the array. “Main Residence: 123 Main, New York, NY 10001”, “Office: 789 Left Ave, 3b, New York, NY 10001”, “Vacation: 456 Right St, New York, NY 10001” How can I extract or leave only the address for the office? If there is an office, show the address and if not, leave the field blank.

Hello, HELP! Working with a base containing formatted currency fields but when downloading CSV, the resulting import into MS Excel, converts the currency fields to TEXT. Is there a way to override this so that currency remains as a number field? Thank you in advance Kind regards, Sally

Is there any good workaround to specify a global filter that applies to all shown tables or views? The idea is that a user needs to work with multiple tables/views and applying a filter to each of them (changing customer, for example) is quite cumbersome. Any ideas? The alternative we are using is using a different base for each customer, but that doesn’t seem very efficient and requires to apply changes in multiple bases.

Hello everyone! I’m trying to migrate from Google Sheets to Airtable, but still having issues creating a budget template for my projects… As you can see in the screenshot below, my “total” and “tax” fields are working fine when I add numbers to the fields “QTY” and “COST”, however, my “SUBTOTAL” formula (also in the screenshot) always stays at zero, regardless if I do or do not add numbers to the fields “freight” or “Discount”. I also would like my subtotal field to calculate the formulas even if “discounts” and “freight” are numbered as zero as I don’t always get a discount or have to pay for freight. Can someone please help me understand what I’m doing wrong and how to solve it? It would be very much appreciated!

I’m having a little trouble with a script I’m using to update a date field in Airtable with data from an API. The API I’m using gives date/time info most of the time. Every once in a while it’ll output a string like “UNKNOWN,” which brings the whole thing to a grinding halt. I’d like my script to be able to skip trying to enter that in and move on to the next iteration in the loop. I’m feeding the data it gives me to a Date() function to save it as a new variable, then I pass that variable to table.updateRecordAsync(). But when the data is a string that can’t be parsed into a date, I get an error saying that the Airtable can’t store that string into a date field. Which is totally accurate and fine, but it halts the whole script. Is there a function/operator or something to check whether a variable/constant/piece of data is in a format that Airtable will accept for a specific kind of field? Thank you!

Hi all, I want to use the DATEADD() formula on only the oldest created value (date) in a Lookup column that stores multiple values (a 1-to-many relationship is needed). I can’t seem to figure out a way to design the base or write a formula that does this. Any ideas? Thanks, Julie

I have long-text field with many words ( I do not know exact number of words, but all of them separated by " "). Is there any possibility to split this field to different words? This script for automation. When the form is submitted with long-text field, the script will create as much records as words in long-text field. Thank you so much

Scripting within an automation, I’ve tried a couple of ways but I can’t get the console log to output across multiple lines. As a work around I can use a table, but it’s kind of annoying that it’s collapsed, and I just want a few lines of console to appear; Any suggestions?

I’m trying to build a dashboard for investors on top of our sales and client data. I don’t want them to have access to the data itself, but only see charts and summarized values. I believe that with the built-in Airtable data visualization tools, this is not possible as I have to give access to the entire base. How would you approach this? Hey all. I am trying to use Airtable to manage farming schedules. I’m trying to figure out an automation that would create an entry in one of four other tables, whenever I update a status on a primary table. Specifically, I have a primary table with all the seeds I am using, and one of the field types is a single-select with labels [Seeded, Transplant, Finish, Harvest]. I also have several scheduling tables that correspond to each of those labels. The idea then, is that when I set a seed status to “Seeded”, an entry for that seed would be created in the Seeded table, and so on for the other tables. Would a REGEX_MATCH formula work for this? I have zero experience writing up complicated formulas.

I want only current records to show in a view. There doesn’t seem to be a way to filter for “date created after dateX”, so I figure I can create a field that says “yes” if the date created is after whatever date I put in, then filter on that field. But what would be the formula for saying, "If ‘date created’ is after September 13, “yes”, “no”)? Thanks!

I’m not too sure where I’m going wrong. The Javascript examples I’ve read indicate that this should work, but Airtable isn’t processing them as I’d hoped - and judging from the results I’ll need to modify my script somehow. Hi everyone, I currently have a base where there is a column for DIMENSIONS in the form of manual entry formated as such: 12" x 10" x 8" I would like to SPLIT the numerical values into 3 different columns (column 1 = 12, column 2 = 10, column 3 = 8) From my research I have not been able to find an adequate split formula (I know that airtable, unfortunately, doesn’t have an easy way to SPLIT) How best would I go about splitting this information by a split-like formula?
