I tend to have a number of Airtable views open, each with a different focus. However, the default Airtable only says (Table Name) - Airtable. Hi, I am working on a historical research that deals with a timespan of 500 years. Now I want the timeline and Gantt to display that timespan with subdivisions of 100 / 50/ 10 years. The UI allows me only a max span of 5 years. Any ideas? Thanks, Gerhard 

Hi everyone,I just had a very strange case. I have an automation that has run for days without any problem (9 runs no failure). It's a simple "repeat update" after a "find" to copy a computed field into a link field, in order to ensure the connection. I've done such automations in many circumstances without any difficulty nor any problem.Today one run failed : 3 records out of 6 were updated correctly, others failed with the comment  - Field "Opération" cannot accept the provided value: Cannot modify a computed field. -.I tried to rerun the very same automation ; all 6 succeeded !!! Of course the update was exactly the same for the 2 runs, and each time same content for the 6 records. Thus I have no idea of where to investigate to mend if needed.Did anyone encounter such a problem ? Any clue on what to look at to prevent this from happening again ?Many thanks in advance !

Prefilling those forms with all of the relevant data is amazing as it speeds up the workflow, gives my employees a better user experience, and gives me cleaner data. I was receiving employee submissions that were missing quite a bit of data that should have been prefilled. After a week of pulling my hair out, I finally realized the problem: many of the fields in this form have field names that contain a space character in the name e.g. "Checklist A". I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner, but Airtable is a perfect platform if you want to set up a simple message board for a team of people. I built this interface to do just that.You can post messages, reply to conversations and edit your own messages. One automation and a few tweaks to the settings and you can allow users to edit or delete their own messages, but only reply to those posted by others. Conversations are added to an ongoing "log" with each message so you can easily keep up with any discussions.

Hello all,I have 2 different bases one for Employees and one for Equipment.  I have synced the Employee table to the Equipment table to assign Employees to different pieces of equipment linked to the sync data.  I see the new fields in the synced table in the Equipment base, but I don't see the Equipment showing up on the Employee base.How do I get it to sync back to the original base? and show in other tables that based is synced to.Thank you in advance for all your help.

Hello, In my Airtable's "PEOPLE" Table, we stored many people's name records—more than 15,500 records. I aimed to identify those name records whose spelling is the same as any particular person's name. I developed the following scripting codes using the Scripting Extension in Airtable. When I tested it with another table with a small number of name records, less than 10, it worked well. However, when testing the code with a table with many people's names, the script's running was not complete. This issue could be related to the large number of records in the Table. Please note the following regarding my "PEOPLE" Table: 1) Table name: PEOPLE, 2. Primary field name: English Name, and 3. "Duplicate Name" is a checkbox field, which means if a tick is created for any name, that name has more than one record.
