I have a table with a date field, an I want to link these dates to another table, but group them by month. This is so I can create rollups for monthly financial figures. I have tried to create an automation to auto fill in another field, using the date as its source and then converting the format to mmmm yyyy, from the usual dd/mm/yy. I then linked this field to the other table, but now the automation does not update it even if it runs successfully.Can anyone help solve this issue?

Hi there,I think I already know the answer to this but thought that I should ask. Is there a way for a user who has filled out a public form to edit the data that they submitted in the past? For example. If I have a form that invites people to provide information about their product which they do, is there a way for me to allow them in the future to "Edit" that information later if the price of description of the product changes?Thanks in advance. S

Hello! I am attempting to assign employees to presentation times and have the automation create the event and invite them to it via Outlook. I've established everything necessary but cannot assign the public calendar in the Outlook: Create Event automation. I also cannot adjust the "From" email. I need to do so because we want the invites to come from a shell email address and not from an individual, and utilizing the Public Folder Calendar in outlook instead of a personal outlook calendar that is shared so that we don't have any interruptions if the owner leaves the company. Can anyone advise a workaround or if this is a feature that Airtable is working on?Thanks!

Hi all - here’s my set up: Table 1 - [3 designs] with [multiple components each] Table 2 - [many interview questions] each tagged with [a specific design component] and [one of 3 interview guide types] In Table 1, I link to the interview questions for each component. This is great! I can see which interview questions have been developed for each component. In Table 1, I also want to include which guides the component is tested in. If I add the lookup, it repeats the guide name for every single question. This gives me a set of ~10 “Student” tags and ~10 “Advisor” tags - I really just want to know which of the 3 guide options (student, advisor, instructor) each component is tested in. Is this possible?

I'm looking to send out an email when a record is updated to interface-only collaborators. I want the email to include a link to the record in question.I've got a link to the record using the following formula:"https://airtable.com/appxxx/pagxxx?xxxx=" & RECORD_ID()  But I need to link to the Details section of the record with this link. I.e., my Interface uses the 'Sidesheet' details pane. When I click the email link, I want to be taken to the correct Interface and correct page and have the sidebar pop out too. What do I append to the above formula to make the correct sidebar pop out?

Hi, I'm relatively new to Airtable - still enjoying learning how to build neat things with it!I've noticed that when I'm testing my Airtable forms, my browser doesn't pop up the usual menu of autofill options for things like my name, email, address, etc. as usual. Is Airtable blocking this somehow? Can I un-block that? It certainly makes testing slower but more importantly, autofill helps users accurately enter common information, saving them time and reducing typos and other common errors. Example screenshot attached - starting to type my name doesn't offer to fill out the rest like it does on just about every other form on the web 🙃I searched Google and this community before posting but found almost nothing mentioning this, but got a lot of unrelated things since "Autofill" is often discussed in relation to formulxs [sic] etc. Sorry if this has already been asked.Thanks!-Chris

I want to create look up field for only apartment details in a row that I have in a table called lease tracker in a base The row has 50 columns and lets say I just want 20 columns data to atomically go to the other tables in my base when updated to the specific unit number of a rental building. My current tables in my base are called, listings, building, apartment rented, calendly interaction,  and lease tracker.I want the tables to look up the data in my lease tracker table and put only the apartment details in the other bases.  I have multiple buildings and multiple apartment number listed in two different columns of the table with the other columns so not sure how to look only the specific unit number of a specific building. Hello,I'm trying to build a form where my team can submit a PTO request.I set two date fields, one for date when they want to start their PTO and one for their return date.So I would like to set the return date field to be after the start date.Is there any way to disallow people from entering the same or earlier date as their return date than their start date? I don't really mind how it's done (ie. pop up message, greying out any dates on or prior to the start date on the calendar), but just a way so that people won't be able to proceed to submit their request unless they put a date after their start date as the return date.Any input would be appreciated. I have a table that uses a form to enter meeting information including who was there (linked field to another table). If I need to add new people to the people table through the meeting form, is there a way to do that?

As the title suggests, I have a gallery view in my interface. Showing nice cards, each one with an image pulled from a table. Perfect. But the issue is, the image on the card is clickable and when clicked opens up a large version of the image which the user has to close. Ideally, when they click either the card text or the image, the card should open the record. Is there a way of doing this?Same thing happens when the record opens, if they click the banner image, it  opens a larger version of it. I don't want it clickable. 

Hi,The Typeform extension in Airtable is repeatedly failing to connect (screenshots at the bottom of this post). I have written multiple emails to Airtable Support but the responses are vague and not very helpful so far.I want to create a Typeform that pulls data from certain fields in Airtable, and displays that data as options for certain selection-based questions in my form. Using Airtable to do staffing plans. Basically we have [Projects] which have [Phases], which in turn have [Staffing Needs] which [People] can then be assigned to ([Assignments]). For reasons, the duration of a Phase can vary from a month up to a year. This means for some projects a single person may be have 12 separate assignments -- this allows us to have the specific workload/allocation someone is putting towards an assignment vary month over month (e.g. John is working on Project Airtable with 10% of his time in January, 15% in March, 5% in April, etc.)A critical interface is a Project view where we can look at an individual project and see all the people working on it.I have been able to do this using Timeline views easily, and also with a bit of regex magic to select a project and a specific month and get a list of individuals and their allocation for that one month. But what I really want is a list/grid view that is each per

I know this is impossible as far as basic automation behavior, so I'm mostly looking for ideas on what I could do.I have a form for requesting time slots. Because of the way my department works, only a certain time frame should be open at any given time for these requests, and it's in six month chunks. I'm using the range limit on my Event Start/End fields to do this, and it works as expected.At this present moment, let's say we're only able to select a time slot from January - June. But in June, I'd need to change the range limit for both fields on the form to reflect that selections can be made from July - December. While I could do this manually, I won't be an admin on this once it's live, so I'd like to make the range limit change automatic if possible.Any chance I can alter form configuration on an automatic schedule? Code-heavy solutions are very welcome.

Hello, I am attempting to create a “email merge” document template using Airtable that allows me to: Use rich text formatting (bold, bullets, etc. for email formatting), and Use reference fields in the text (for example “Hello {First Name}, your User Name is {User Name} and your Password is {Password}.” If I try to do this in Page Designer, I can do #2, but not #1 that I know of. If I try to do this in a Long Text Field, I can do #1, but not #2 that I know of. Any ideas? Thanks, ML

I'm wondering if a formula has a way to reference the field name.  For example I want to name a field the number 10 and then use a formula which calculates if {other field} < {thisfield.name}.Is that possible?

When you turn on the Rich Text Formatting option in a Long Text Field, you are limited in the Page Design Block. First of all, it is not possible to change the typefont, neither is it possible to change the font size. It is understandable that you cannot make the text bold, italic and so on, because that is what you do in the field itself. But, the font size and fonttype can not be change in the field itself. So, what is it gonna be: add features in the Long Field, or add them in the Block area? Regards, André

Ive been looking all over youtube and the forums to find something that matches the automation I have in mind but to no avail unfortunately. Im attempting to create an inventory list that pulls from an item master list.Currently every detail of items being stored on shelves is being manually typed out, I would like to improve the process but typing in the details once into the item master and whenever a part is being put away the PN is typed in, the remaining data would be pulled from a separate table and auto populate in their respective fields. Hi all,I'm new to airtable and I'm trying to take first steps using automations.I'm setting up notifications about a new tasks: an email is sent every time a task with to-do status is assigned to a user. The emails are sent fine, this part works like a charm. But here is the difficult part: I'd like to include in the email the link for the new task and I cannot find the variable I can use in the email text. Like "if task x is assigned to a user send an email to the users email address with the link to x in the email text".I've checked the resources here and couldn't find anything.Can anyone help me with this link/variable?Thank you in advace!

Hi,I’m trying to update our CRM’s product listing with upgradeable pricing. The current structure is simple, one record per product, with price as one of the fields. Customer orders are directly linked to products sold.Now we need to update prices. The challenge becomes that if we just update the existing products’ prices, historical data such as value of sold product would change, and any reports would change totally.I have seen in similar systems that products may have Valid From and Valid To fields for prices. Or perhaps for the whole product record, I’m not sure.Testing this concept I’m able to build a logic that tests if a product price is valid TODAY. I guess I could duplicate the whole price list, and use some “Valid today?” formula to determine which product to link to an order. Hello, I am looking to get help automatically updating records. I have an airtable setup that pulls in companies that visit our website from a lead tracking system. I manually select an option to tag the company as "Sales Target, Client, Employee". There are instances where the same company/person will come to the website and show up as a new line item in my airtable.Is there an automation that I can setup that will automatically update the record to match the previous line where I tagged them? Said differently, If I manually tag Apple as a "sales target" in row 7, I'd like to have airtag automatically mark them as a "sales target" when they show up again in row 101.Thank you

I'm having trouble getting past the Update record in an automation:I was able to:- get the trigger to catch a new email in a table (pic #1)- filter out the matching email and corresponding row (pic #2)In the Update action, I used the Airtable record ID from the first step (pic #3). The field of interest I want to import from the donor table, for example, is What year and school did you graduate from (pic #4) but it doesn't work (pic #5) and I also dont see where in the receiving table I can choose where the donor information I want to collect to insert. Thanks so much!

I'm trying to set up an Airtable automation that's not working as expected.Here are the details:Current Setup1. Trigger: When a record matches conditions- Quote_Date_String is not empty- Axonaut_Status is "accepted"2. Action: Find records- Where Quote_ID matches Quote_ID from trigger3. Action: Update record (in a "Repeat for each" loop)- Table: Landing_Table- Update Quote_Date_String fieldError:Getting "Received invalid inputs" when testing the automation, even though the test step shows valid data in the trigger record.Screenshots of the automation and test results are attached.Any help identifying why the update action is failing would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Hugo
