I have a form using Fillout that accepts submissions of repair service requests. The results populate a dedicated table and I use an automation to distribute the response data among multiple other tables, such as People and Repairs.When someone submits a request, part of the automation looks to see if the same first name–email address pair exists on a record in the People table. If so, it creates a Repair record and attaches the existing Person record as requestor. Otherwise, it creates a new Person record, then a Repair record, and attaches the new Person record as the requestor.Currently, first part of this is not working at all. It fails tests, logging "Could not find matching rows for string." How can I troubleshoot this?Additionally, when the automation does work, it correctly fills the new Repair record with the existing Person but also removes this Person association from any prior Repairs connected to them. I can't figure out why it does this.How

Hello, I am stuck on something that seems simple, and I've tried navigating the answer here, but still can't get my formula to work.I have two fields I'm working with, a check-in field, which is a dd/mm/yyyy field, and a check-out which is also a dd/mm/yyyy field.  I don't always use both fields, though - sometimes one is blank, and sometimes both are blank.I'm trying to calculate the # of nights between the two dates, and the formula is working fine, but returns "NaN" when there is no date.  How can I correct the formula to simply leave that field empty if there are no dates? Also, it seems to be wanting to calculate a sum, which I don't want it to do.  Not sure why the Sum and Infinity symbols? Here is my formula: DATETIME_DIFF({Check-out}, {Check-in}, "days")Thank you!

Hi Airtable Community, I have the following problem:I have a Projects table with columns Assigned Budget 25, Assigned Budget 26 etc.I also have a table “Orders” which is linked to the project table. This means that several purchase orders can be assigned to one project. Each purchase order is also linked to table 3 Financial budget.So there are projects that can have several financial budgets. Each project can have different purchase orders which can also run on different financial budgets.However, the projects are not directly linked to the financial budget.Projects to Orders (1 to n)Orders to financial budgets (1 to 1)Now I would like to have the sum of all assigned budgets for each calendar year in the Financial budgets table. So I need to somehow get the values from the Projects table into the Assigned Budget table.Any ideas?Thanks & bestMirko 

Have a nice day,I would like to ask for advice - I have created an interface in which I have created buttons - in the web version everything works correctly. But when I display it in the mobile app, the buttons do not appear there. In addition, the search button is displayed there, although again I don't have it enabled in the web version.Can anyone advise? Or is this an airtable bug?Thanks a lot!

I'm creating an airtable base to store member information of a makerspace. We store basic info like name, address, email and phone number. We also take their state id and record the number, in the event they do something bad like steal from our makerspace or other types of bad behavior. Note, we've never had to use this information, but oftentimes knowing that we have it is a good deterrent (I'm not going to argue that point here).My concern is that some might worry about PII on this database and the risk of identity theft. I know airtable uses encryption going back and forth (according to my googles), but how safe is that really?  I will need to defend us doing this as some of my board members are super sensitive to any risk. Also, I suppose it might be able to be encrypted on the table, if we have a way to unjumble it later.  And.... I realize that the other stuff, name, address etc is also PII, but apparently the ID is what is freaking some of the people out.

I have created some automation emails that include a link back to view an interface record, where someone can edit and update it, I have the email set up using the "page record URL" under the "Insert a link" dropdown in the Message box of the automation email.It was all working fine up until the beginning of this year, now when you click the link in the email, it brings me to the interface, but not to the exact record. Furthermore it brings me to the interface and all the information is greyed out, if I physically go into the interface and find the record from there it works fine. But I need it to link directly to the record, which it was doing earlier, and I didn't change anything and it stopped working, for all my bases and interfaces. I've tried on multiple devices and I get the same issue. Wonder if anyone else is having this issue. 

I've created a task list. When 'Done" is clicked, the "Date Completed" is updated and the "Next Due" is updated based on a formula dependent on the 'Freq'. All this works fine.I then have an automation that runs to create a new record with a 'Due' date populated with the previous records 'Next Due'The automation runs fine except in the evenings where it adds a day? During the day it is fine. You an see in the attached, "IG New Messages" was clicked 'Done" on 1/10, 'Date Completed' was 1/10, 'Next Due' was 1/11 but then the automation changed the new records 'Due' to 1/12It is like there is a time zone issue somewhere but I can't figure it out so any help is greatly appreciated.

I am looking to make a reviews website, like a business directory with reviews. Is something like this possible in airtable for each listing?

When I click in the field to link a record, a panel pops up showing all the records from the other table that I can search through. It also previews some relevant fields for each record on the little card. How does AirTable choose which fields are shown here? As you can see in my attached image, there are 4 fields being previewed. I would like to show a different field called “Category”, instead of the “Framecount” field.

Noob here. Frankly don't know where to start, and my mind is whirling with the results in the community, so let me describe what I'm going for.I've created a form that allows my community to report data in four areas for a health challenge: calories consumed, exercise calories, water consumption, and sleep hours. There's also the date and the person's name in the table.What I want my community to see is a summary of each of the four areas for the current month. I'll embed the view on a web page. Rollups, aggregations, linked records — I'm starting from square one in using Airtable and haven't figured out which and how to make this work. 'Lil help? Thanks!

Hello, On an airtable registration form that has a required field for DOB, some users have made error on their years of birth (for example 2023 instead of 2003) . Then they submit it and it fills the table with wrong data without them being aware of it. Is there a way that I can set the minimum date of birth to 01/01/2007 for example, so that the forms can alert the user that the date is incorrect at the time of form submission ? If not, which other way is possible ?

I wonder if anyone's done anything similar?We get customer feedback on designs and it's usually in the form of a spreadsheet emailed over, with feedback points per row so I'm creating a customer facing form for them to fill in so it's captured in Airtable as a task.Our 'Task' structure is a Tasks table, and a separate one for 'Subtasks' that are linked records.   Does anyone know if there'd be an easy way to allow the customer to create subtasks from the Feedback form before submitting? Currently if I pull in the Subtask field to the form, it allows them to select from the existing list of subtasks, but not create a new one.   Obviously the constraint is the 'Task' isn't yet created.Any ideas? &#x1f605Ross

New-ish to AirTable and very much appreciate your help and patience!I am trying to create a timeline or calendar view that displays all of our acting clients' working dates for every single film/TV project that our clients are/will be working on. For instance, I need a way to quickly view and edit the statement, "Charlie Chaplin is working on the film MODERN TIMES in NYC on 1/15-1/27, then 2/2, 2/7, 2/9, and again on 2/23-2/28." Additionally, I need to quickly display a client's working dates on a particular project to answer the question, "When is Charlie Chaplin available in Q1 and not filming MODERN TIMES?"  The problem is that I do not love the idea of creating several different start and end date fields for individual days (ex: 2/2, 2/7, 2/9) and short date ranges (ex: 2/23 -2/28). Context: I am a trader and I have a base that tracks trades that I take. I can take many trades on one day. I am attempting to create daily reports for myself, and have created an automation to add trade to my daily report. However, whenever I add a new trade (record created) and the automation runs, it deletes any other trades previously added to that day. Anyone know what I should look at to fix?

I have a table with records with two fields, 'Start Time', and 'End Time'. Both of these are date fields, and need to remain date fields, i.e. they can't become formula fields.The issue is that if 'Start Time' is changed, e.g. I change the day, the 'End Time' field does not update. Is there are way to ensure that the 'End Time' field shifts relative to the 'Start Time' field? Importantly, I don't want this to happen in reverse, e.g. the 'Start Time' field should remain where it is when the 'End Time' field is changed.Hope that all makes sense,Andy

I've been using airtable to handle the backend of an MVP. The tables and  interfaces have been a great way to quickly put together a product that our internal team can work with. Probubly would have been beter to go with a tool like Retool for our use case, but this is were we are.We are still having trouble with the speed of airtable's API for our consumer facing front end. The other issue we've had is that there is no real dev ops workflow where we have a development environment and production environment. The best way to do that is to just copy the base and relink everything so we have a dev base and production base. The issue with that is its time consuming and all the Id's change so links we give the clients in emails etc that have id's as url parameters won't work anymore.We are looking to migrate to a traditional tech stack and would like to sync our airtable base to a postgreSQL base as we do the hard work of putting together a proper backend in react for

Is there anyway to hide certain tables from certain collaborators? I’m using Airtable for my business and want to link financials to projects. I have employees who I want to update records on my projects but not have access to financial information or client information. Is there anyway to do that? If not, I cannot continue using Airtable in my business…

I have a table with all our fiscal weeks, and their corresponding start and end dates.  ("Fiscal Weeks")I have another table with projects, and the start date of each project. ("Projects")I need to add a column to the Projects table that tells me which fiscal week the project belongs to, based on the start date of the project. Nothing I've tried seems to work. Any thoughts?

Over the course of a project we will be conducting a series of feedback surveys, each with the same questions, but after different events. I plan on storing responses to each survey in its own table within a base. Is there a way to duplicate the form to different tables? I will need to do some minor updates (e.g., changing the introductory text), but the questions would be the same.

Hi everyone,I love the Airtable interfaces and am interested in using the new dashboard interface layout (as opposed to using the legacy charts on a blank layout, which is what I currently do).However, one very critical element of the dashboard interface layout is missing: I am not able to locate any way for a user to filter the data by a custom date range. Sure, I can use pre-set filters for general date ranges (this year, this month, any other range I choose as the person building the dashboard) but the purpose of seeing our data on a dashboard is to be able to answer questions like "what does the data look like between January 1st and January 4th?" The user needs to be able to filter the data based on the date ranges that are important to them. They should not have to ask the team member in charge of the interface builder to add a tab filter for every single range they want to review and compare all

I am fairly new to airtable and have gone back and forth on whether this is an automation or a formula. I would like to create a field where when two conditions are met, it auto numbers. For example, when records have the same "created date" and "account name" this field would auto-number. If there are no records with matching "created date" and "account name" then it would auto-number to 1.   

Hello,I have created a check Request form in my system.  For some of our transactions we will deal with multiple transactions but I only want to have one button.  I have created multiple fields (Fee #1, Fee #2, Fee #3, Fee #4, Fee #5). I am trying to create a nested if Statement (or open to other options) to fill the check Request field with the newest fee.  For example If Fee 5 is empty but Fee 4 is not then I want Fee 4 populated in the field.  If Fee 5, 4, and 3 are empty then I want Fee 2 to populate in the field.  And so on.  Appreciate any direction. So far I created a nested if Statement but it only works for the first field then no longer works.
