Hello there, I’m using Make / Integromat to create Google Docs and upload them as PDFs to Airtable. Occasionally this results (without obvious reasons) in broken PDF files. While the file name is correct, they’re missing a preview, open as blank and are read corrupted in external PDF apps. The automation completes successfully. If I open the Google Docs PDF export link, the PDF comes out alright. This makes me think the PDF file breaks while being imported to Airtable. Is there a known error, fix or workaround to this? I can’t find an indicator to tell the system the file is corrupted (still has regular file size) to let it redo it automatically. Thanks for your input

I have a couple word document templates that are localized on our company's SharePoint.I would like to create a button automation that would connect with Make to generate a letter based off the template and then create a pdf and upload it to the attachment field in AirTable.I am having difficulty in figuring out the right steps in Make to perform this action.   The word templates are in our document library in a SharePoint.   I was thinking of having the button in AirTable interface check off a box in the back end that would trigger the Watch Records in Make to run the scenario.  However, I don't know how to properly generate the letter and do the next steps that follow.Can anyone help?  Or perhaps offer guidance?   If there is an alternative method to generating letters that you prefer that would be accessible in the Interface Designer, I would appreciate it. 

Is it possible to have a shared view link expire or become disabled after a certain time frame? I’d like to be able to automatically expire a link after a week or on a certain date, so I don’t have this link floating out there after the event date or whatever. For example, the form view should expire after the registration deadline. Is this possible?

Hi,I am new to the Airtable forum but been using Airtable for over a year now. I am trying to create a Gantt view with multiple start and end dates for an employee (the employee has multiple contracts and I want to make sure the contracts don't overlap (too much!) with a visual display. Currently I was able to create a Gantt as seen here:The different contracts are highlighted with boxes, are sourced from a Lookup Field (from a separate, linked table) and separated by commas. How can I make the Gantt recognize the start & end dates associated with each contract? Right now it just shows the employee working (this is hidden off to the left side of the screenshot) from the start date of their first contract through the end date of their last contract, even if there are dates in which they are not working (on the top example 7/7–7/11).The Grid View the Gantt is ba

Evening All, I'm building a data structure in airtable to represent a rather large tree style database. We're talking about 50k to 100k objects in the tree. I've got the heirachy view working quite nicely by uploading the components using the api, and then (again using the api) linking the objects with parent/child relationships. The next issue I have is some of the data the objects have. Most objects in the tree have a unique set of data. For example, one might have {colour, size and weight} while another might have {power, consumption}Is there a good way of representing this? The cleanest way I found was by creating another table of this data and then linking it to the original objects, but with 650k data points, this doesn't seem feasible on a large scale.I can add them as generic fields i.e. data01, make it a text type and then put the value in like "colour:Blue", but it's not ideal.Let me know if

Hello !I'd like external users (not on airtable) to find specific records in a airtable thanks to a form filtering a database.Ex : I have a dataset of clothes, with criteria : type (tshirt, pullover, pant), prices, size, colorAnd I'd like my customer to be able to tick in a form those criteria (or not), so that I send him (or he sees) a database with only the specific records. ex : he ticks thisrt & pant, between 30 & 60€, M, blue, then lands (or have by email) the list of the 40 products that meet those conditions (among 3K products).Thanks a lot !!!

Having a bit of trouble and would love some insight. I have 2 tables. The first table is a Work Order Table and the second is an Activity log table. In Table 1 I have a button configured to upon click open the form view on Table 2. I have a referenced field in Table 2 to reference the record the button was clicked on table 1. I am struggling with the button url on a table 1 record that will open the form on table 2 and prefill the referenced linked fields. Here is what I have so far:

Why does the logo at the top of the forms always appear so tiny? I have resized and changed image formats and the logo still appears very small. Is this intentional? Can this be changed?Thanks!H.

Hello!We made the request to have the form answers emailed to the respondent optional; however, now I have a person who did not tick the box, who would like a copy of their responses. What is the easiest way to send that to them? I do have their email.Thanks!

My organization has several airtable forms for the public to use, and when a new submission is created, the form sends an email to the creator of the form (someone on staff). That staff person is leaving the organization and those emails need to be sent to someone else. Where is the setting to change this? Thanks in advance.

When someone completes a form and a new record is created in the grid, how can I notify my team about the new record?

Hello all,New to Airtable and still figuring out things.I am creating a job board, and want some data to be blurred in the main page for non logged in users. I am attaching two screenshots -- one from Airtable and the other from the app I am using to create the board. For example, I want the Company details to be blurred.Is there a way to do this in Airtable (the app itself doesn't have any). TIA 

I may be missing the obvious here but unfortunately the Airtable support pages do NOT explain this. I'm on Enterprise.It looks to me like there is no way to restrict read/write access to bases within a Workspace. I can only see "creator" and "editor" and "viewer" setting on a WORKSPACE level. All bases within that workspace seem to simply inherit those settings.At the same time, I also cannot see the possibility to sync between bases in different WORKSPACES. Or at least when I created a new workspace and a base within that, I was not able to sync/link to a base in the other workspace. What we're trying to do is simple... have interconnected/sync'd bases but each base has different write permissions for specific users. Is that really not possible?

I have an airtable graph in which I would like to export to PDF before my automation sends a message to slack. The automation message I'd like to include the PDF as an attachment. Hey all! I want to create a letter within Airtable and link the letter’s PDF to a specific field. The purpose of it is to eventually send an email with the attachment connected to each record. By the way, it is possible to create the letter with Airtable’s Page Designer app. But, you can not link it automatically to a specific field. Do you have any idea what I should use to get it done?

Hello,I am using make to create a google doc using information coming from airtable. I then download the google doc into a pdf that I upload back on my google drive, it works fine.Trouble comes when i try to feed back to Airtable. I have no problem with sending back a URL into airtable to open the document stored on Google Drive.But I do not know how to send the PDF into an attachement field in airtable. Here is my Make scenario:I have tried to insert a google drive share link action before the last airtable action and to pass this share link in the attachement field. Scenario works, and attachement field is populated, but clicking on the attachement in airtable opens a blank document (the direct link to the same document does open correctly).What do I need to do to correctly populate the attachement field?Thank you for help

I am currently using Airtable to manage payment records for my team. I have set up a workflow where each team member completes a form, and based on that information, we generate a personalized invoice using the Page Designer extension. I would like to know if there is a way to automate the sending of this invoice as a PDF attachment directly from Airtable. My goal is that, once a team member completes the form, the PDF would automatically be generated and sent via email to the appropriate person. So far, I haven’t found an option to save or send the PDF directly within the platform. If anyone knows how it could be done but through some external tool or platform, I could also use that information. Hi everyone,I have the below Make / Integromat scenario:It catches a wehook URL containing a record ID, gets the data associated with that record ID to create a Google Docs document from a template.A share link to the file is then generated and used to upload the target file to an Airtable attachment field.It then searches for a state of a status single select field and depending on the state, it will create and send a pre-written email with the file in the attachement field attached to it, unshare the file and change the state of the status field to disable further sending.My problem is that what is uploaded to the attachment field is not the actual file but the share link to it.For security reason, I would like to unshare the file once it is uploaded since I read that once a file is uploaded to an attachment field, Airtable replace it

Hi, everyone!We are using Page Designer for creating our Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes and so on. But when we create the file, it is only allowing to print or save as PDF option. It is really handy that taking data from two tables when creating documents with Page Designer. I wonder if it is possible to automate Page Designer to save it into attachment section in related row. If it is not, we are using Make for automations, how can we achieve that goal? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks in advance!
