So I currently have an automation set to when it hits 6:00 AM everyday, a record will be created and it will tag the record as backlog (in the status field) and will copy the created field's date and update the name of that same record. However it is always one day delayed. I do not know why this is happening. Here are SS of it happening. Would need all the help I can get. Thanks!

Hello, hope you are all doing well. Need some help giving points to each participant per race result, would like to create a field on the same table with a formula that does that automatically. The point system is basically the reverse order of the number of participants, ea: 1st place gets the total number of participants in points, the 2nd place gets one less, and so on, with last place getting 1 pointHere is the condition, only the "Pos" with numbers will get assign the points. Good afternoon, I’ve got a handful of automations that are triggered by updates to specific fields in a table, and when the criteria match a record gets flagged. I’m seeking a solution for how to get a new automation to run where the trigger criteria are met by existing records when I flip it on. Currently, when I set the automation to run, the existing matching records don’t execute without manually updating them. There are tens of thousands of records in play, I know I could manually trigger it via a checkbox or some other square peg, but the maintenance of it all is becoming a part time job on its own. Is there a mechanism that yall have found which lets this flow more like opening a spigot and less like doing it twice because some records already match the trigger? Would appreciate any insights. I am considering linking back to a specific cell in Airtable. I can copy a link to the cell by right-clicking on it and selecting 'Copy cell URL.' However, this opens Airtable in a browser. I want it to open in Airtable's desktop app for Mac. Please suggest how to do this.

We use a form with our database so that students can post pictures of homework. When completing the form, each student inputs her student ID to create a new record, and attaches pictures of homework. The homework is associated with a specific session. The master table of students and sessions includes a unique “student session id”, but students don’t know it (ie can’t input it into the record). I would like to create an automation that is triggered when a student submits a record to the homework table. The automation would look for all of the “student session IDs” associated with that student ID, find the largest “student session ID” for that student (more recent = highest number), and input it into a field in the record. Can anyone point me to a script that would do something like this? Thanks!

I have both the Teams Plan and the Business Plan. Very often I found that Teams Plan is sluggish and unresponsive at certain times of the day. But I don't get that in the Business Plan. Do you also experience the same? Granted, that the Business Plan is 2x the price...

Hi!I'm trying to create a formula to calculate the number of hours between two date/time fields, excluding weekends. The fields are "Completion Date/Time" and "Writer Claimed Date/Time". So for one example, the Completion Date/Time field is 11/7/24 at 11:10am, and the "Writer Claimed Date/Time" is 10/31/24 at 2:59pm. I am working on in a table whose purpose is to have all aircraft on market & recently sold as a mechanism to build an MLS type system. I am trying to create an automation to delete a record IF a record that is being imported/create whose MSN matches and the Sold Price was filed where as before it might have been blank (signifying the aircraft was available). We manage a vehicle fleet and to make it easy for non-technical staff to add vehicles, I have created simplified interface forms with just the necessary fields (and some optional ones). This is great for adding one at a time, however often we will be adding multiple of the same vehicle. being comfortable with large sets of data myself, it's easy enough to just duplicate the record mulitple times in a grid view, however for users not comfortable with a grid view, is there a way for me to add a dropdown or number field or something to my interface form that will create a number of duplicates equal to the number provided in the dropdown/number field? Or is there another simple way to generate duplicate records? Thanks for any help in advance!

I want to use a form to allow volunteers to register for upcoming events. Each volunteer can select multiple events. Volunteers may also return to fill out the form more than once, as many of them will return for future events. The volunteers will just be members of the general public, not Airtable users.Is it possible to set up my tables and form to ensure the following conditions are met?1. Each volunteer is listed in the Volunteers form once, with a unique email address and phone number for each volunteer.2. Volunteers select one or more upcoming events from a list of upcoming events.3. Volunteers who return to fill out the form more than once can select other events, but the name and contact information they enter is not duplicated in a new record. Only the new events they sign up for are added to the record that already exists for them.

Hi all! Looking to figure out a way to hide certain options in a Single-Select Field for a form. I run trainings throughout the globe and it’s all tracked via AirTable. The list of training dates is getting rather long, and I would like to shorten that list to available dates for users filling out the form. The only way I can figure to do this is move any trainings older than 30 days to another tab, but that is rather cumbersome to have data points in two locations. Any thoughts on how to best solve this problem?

Hey, I’m a newbie with JavaScript so this might be obvious … I need a delay(ms) method to slow down the script after 5 API calls (limit 5/min.). Problem is all the JavaScript help on the intertube points to the setTimeout() method of the Window object. But it appears that Window is not instantiated inside the Airtable code block, therefore, no setTimeout() method. What’s a good workaround for this? What might I be missing - other methods? Hey, basically I have got a table with important deals and using Record Track extension I managed to create a report with all statuses and prices and etc, however, I can not send it on a weekly basis on email using automation. Any ideas which extension I can use? To generate report and send it to email on a weekly basis.  Thanks

Hi, I'm using automations as a workaround to add more options to a dropdown menu, per Airtable Support's instructions, but it's not working correctly. Currently, a user can select "Other" from a single select and enter the "Other" option in a separate text field. The automation is supposed to pull that text back into the original single select field as a new option in the dropdown menu. Right now it is only pulling the starting character, rather than the whole string of text. I've tried deleting and reconfiguring several times, but it still is not working. I've attached some screenshots for clarity.  Thanks for your help!K

Hi! How are you? I’m new, and I’m having trouble with the average. I want to calculate the average of ao column that will ever grow (each day I’ll add new numbers). But when I create a new column to calculate it, it just repeat the numbers, instead of calculating the average number. I need a field with the Average, to link this field to Dasheroo (and I’ll do that with other fields, to, like the highest rated item in the database). How can I do that? Thanks

Hi! We've created a base with a tab for each project (e.g., Project 1, Project 2, etc.), and within each project, we need to view (in the interface) the payments made, sorted by year. To manage this, we've created a column for each year within the base. However, this setup makes all years visible across all projects, which is not ideal since each project has a different timeline. For example, if Project 1 runs from 2022 to 2025, I would want to see only those years on that project's page, and not years that apply to other projects (like a project spanning 2008 to 2025).In the interfaces, we have different tabs for different projects (e.g., charity projects), but currently, we don't have the option to filter the years so that only relevant years show on each project’s page. Is there a way to display different years per project within the interface, rather than having all the same years appear across all pages?Thank you! 

Hello!I'm looking to have a daily email automation run with a list of Found Records. I'd like the subject line of the email to have the current date. I see that I can add in a List of the Dates for the Found Records, but...it will show the date for EVERY record, rather than just one instance. Is there a way to suppress that to only the first instance of the date so that my subject line doesn't read "Daily Attendance Log DATE DATE DATE"?Thanks in advance for any help! 

Hi there -  I am attempting to track contract breach status (pending, resolved, or n/a) depending on the source of the breach and whether there is a specific response date. My formula will be 5 if statements, of which 4 are also if/and. Hello Airtable Support, I’d like to know if the following HR automation is possible: Our goal is to streamline our interview scheduling workflow. Once we decide to interview a particular applicant, we’d like to send them an Airtable link. On that form, they should be able to: Book an available interview slot. Upload their resume. On our end, we have several roles, each with designated interviewers. The idea is that when an applicant selects a role from a dropdown menu, a calendar appears showing the available interview slots specifically for the chosen role. This calendar would need to sync with each interviewer’s availability. Is this feasible in Airtable? Thank you!

Hello I need to build a form where users create a 'Deals' table record. The description of the form should contain  dates that come from a  record in another table: 'Cohort'. It seems that Fillout pre-fetch is exactly what I need, but it is only available for 79$/mo which seems too much for this form only (and mini-extensions likewise). Is there any another solution?
