Hi everybody, I am trying to set up a specific automation. I have set up already the importation of emails in Airtable, in the table "my emails". It looks like this :Now, I would like to automate the following steps : - check if in table "Contacts", there is in the field "email" the same address email than in the field "email" from the table "my emails".- if YES, then, in "my emails" in the linked field "Contact", link the existing contact with the same email address.- if NO, then create a new record in the table "Contacts" with all the information of the new contact. Basically the idea is simple : if the email comes from a know person, link the email to the person, if it comes from a new person, create a contact for this person.  Thank you so much,  Have a nice day,  Arthur

I have two tables Tenants and Property so i am creating a new record in a 3rd table called interaction where condition is The tenant's move-in date should not be more than one month later than the property's availability date.How to do this ?

Hey guys,I have noticed an issue recently where "Find Records" from a view is not pulling all records from said view, it's only pulling the first 10. I have maximum record limit set to 1000. The view is definitely pulling more records then that. Anyone else having this bug? And does anyone know a fix?Thanks.

Hi! I am working with a team member to embed a Vega-lite visualization into Softr using data from Airtable, and we have successfully been able to figure out how to embed the visualization in Softr, but we want the visualization to display different data for each project. When users sign into Softr, they create a project so all of their data is attached to it in Airtable, but we can’t figure out how to modify the embed code so that it pulls data related to a specific project. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about this issue?

I am trying  to connect Google API to access Google Drive and Google Docs inside Airtable automation script.I setup a project with credentials and redirect URI on Google Cloud console and I am able to successfully get authorize code and access token.However I realized that access token might not work in case automation as it expires after 1 hour and I will need refresh token to refresh the access token after it is expired.So i am trying to change my code where I am storing the refresh token, access token and expiry time in a table on Airtable Base. As ever, something that I think should he simple is proving anything but.I have a table with 4 simple fields:MakeModelLineExists ?DellLatitude2243 HPProbookM123 DellOptiplexC132 I have another table with similar Make, Model, Line fieldsI would like to change the value of Exists in the first table to 'True' if there is a record in the second table that has a matching Make/Model/Line combination.I created an automation that works (sort of) in testing mode. It actually saves one of the values in to the Exists? field as I haven't worked out how to make it say 'True'.But I can't work out how to run the automation on demand. I have tried having a checkbox field in the first table and watching that field, but that doesn't seem to trigger the automation. I would ideally have a button field on each record - sort of 'Check this' - or a button that would check all the fields in the first table.How should I attack this ?

Hi I am a total newbie to airtable so I hope you can bear with me. I am wondering if I could share a link externally with lots of different people without airtable account? This would somehow need to be done through automation because I cannot create all of these different group links as there will be too many. Background: I have data with results of a animal rescue drone search and I need to communicate the progress and results of our searches with the owners of the field. We put this information into a google sheets file. So I need to be able to share the results for one farmer (with multiple fields in spreadsheet rows) via external link. But the farmers should not see each others field but just their own.Could someone help me if I can somehow do this with airtable?Many thanks in advanceJanine

I have a “Campaign Name” table that contains a “Product” field (which uses abbreviations).The “Campaign Name” table has a formula field which uses the “Product” values (along with other fields) to generate a campaign name.Our request form (on the “Campaign Name” table) uses the “Product” field, which shows the abbreviations in a picklist. You can only choose one Product per campaign.I have created a new “Products" table which maps the Product Codes (abbreviations) with full Product Names.For example:Product CodeProduct NameWDGWidgetWhat I would like to do is have the form display the Product Name to the user but still use the Product Code when generating the campaign name. Is this done just with Lookup fields, or is another formula required to do the mapping? And then what product field am I referencing in the existing formula that generates the campaign name in the "Campaign Name" table?

I have a database that allows users to fill out a form to add information to it. They can also update information via a form as well. While "Created by" is one field, the "Edited by" may have several users and times. Is there a way to store this information in a different base and display it in another?I am limited on the number of rows I can have.

Hello,My accounts departement need to understand how the billing works exactly in order to renew our subscription.Is the subscription renewed automatically ? Because we went from an Enterprise Scale subscription to a free one. It seems like in March 2024, we switched automatically from our Enterprise Scale subscription to a free one. We hadn't reach the date of renewal at the time (May 2024).What does the quantity refers to ? I need to ensure no dates in my base land on a weekend or holiday. I’m trying to use the WORKDAY(startDate, numDays, [holidays]) formula to accomplish this. However… issues. I’m using “0” as numDays since I do not want to add any days if the date already lands on a working day. This does not move the date however if it lands on a weekend or holiday. If I change numDays to “1”, then the date automatically moves forward a day, regardless if the original date already lands on a weekday. How can I resolve this? Is there a “if weekday” formula that I can add in? See More

I have a Jira Cloud instance with the typical Epic -> Story structure. I'm wanting to pull those epics into Airtable with a link to their associated issues and rollup their story point total. Example:DEV-1 (Epic) Make a sandwichDEV-2 (Story) Get Ingredentiants - 5ptsDEV-3 (Story) Assemble - 3ptsDEV-4 (Story) Eat - 1ptHow can I sync this data from Jira and assemble the proper links so I can reference DEV-1 and rollup the estimates to get 9 story points total? I've tried syncing my Jira tickets into its own table which has the Epic <-> Tickets reference information but am unable to convert that information into a 'hard link' that Airtable can use. See screenshot, if I edit the 'Epic Link' field to "Link to another record" it technically works but I get a message saying my Jira Sync won't update this field anymore. 

Hello. I've 6 tables, I've carefully counted the records (with no filters), it's 906, and Airtable indicates it's Off-limit. (only 5 records deleted in the past week)I've removed 32 records, My computed total is now 874, but Airtable indicates 983 (now inside limits !). All other bases are below 1000 recordsDo you have an idea of the difference (109 records) explanation ? (I need these 100 records !)I work in a non profit organisation giving information technology training, and showing Airtable experience for other bigger organisations with bigger budgets. Hey,I have a base where I am storing the height of people, I would like to store the height in feet and inches.I also need to sort and filter by this field as well.I found 4 options that I can do:- I can store it as a string, but then I cant really sort and filter it well- I can store it as a decimal, but then 5.11 is out of order and 5.1 and 5.10 look the same, since all numbers have the same amount of decimal points- I can store it as inches, but then when I go to filter itll be super annoying for the user, since im using interfaces.- I can store 2 columns one in feet and one in inches, but thats annoying for the user as well. But it might be the best option for meAll these options are not really useful for my needs.Does anyone else have any other idea of what I can do to make this work for me? Thanks

Hi,Let's say I have a People table with Name A, Name B, Name C.Another Table "Sports", which links Name A with Football, Name A with Football (again), Name A with Basketball, Name B with Basketball, Name B with Basketball, etc.In the People table I want to create a (rollup?) field that returns e.g. for Name A: "Football (2), Basketball (1)" as a string.Haven't been able to figure it out playing with COUNT, ARRAY, etc in Rollup field and searching this forum. I am trying to create a formula to calculate the number of days a specific status is active. For example, how many days the ticket is "On Hold". The need is to calculate the number of days the ticket was actually active, in other words the difference between the {Closed Date} and the {Created Date}, minus the number of days the ticket was in a "On Hold" status. However, I am not finding a way to keep the counter, when the status changes. Currently, the counter resets to 0 when the status changes. If you could advise me on how to do this, that would be great!

I’ve been working on a custom Extension (App) using the “Getting started” guide. The Extension has been working fine, running on my localhost at https://localhost:9000. Today, the Extension in the Airtable UI started showing the following message: { "error": "FORBIDDEN", "message": "blockId mismatch. Make sure you are entering development for the correct block." } The error message is very clear, but I haven’t changed the blockId in the remote.json file. I’ve also tried restarting my local and reloading the UI, but this error persists. Somehow it seems like the blockId must have changed, but I’m not clear on how/why or where I would get the new blockId from. Any thoughts on how to fix? I’m assuming I could just create a new Extension, but I’d rather get to the root of the problem. Thanks in advance!
