Hi, I have two dates in my base, one is manually inputted, the second is linked from another tab. The date pulled from another tab is the most recent date and we need this date to replace the manually inputted date so we can track most recent updates. I've tried creating a new column that merges these dates but that isn't working. I've been studying airtable lately.I'm trying to express a sheet in Excel with an airtable, but I want to create a cumulative balance field, but I don't know how.Is there any way to find the balance of this row after adding or subtracting this row's income or expenses from the previous row's balance? Hello,I have a very simple request.I simply need to generate a formula to compute the first and last name of my contacts.However, as simple it is, I do not have the text format in the formatting bar. Only Number, Currency, Percent and Duration.Then it is impossible for me to create the basic field {First Name} & {Last Name}Is it possible to allow the text format anywhere?Thank you very much for your help.Franck

I'm trying to show the graduation rate  and drop out rate of program participants in a dashboard. We used to track both in separate fields to using the percent filled under summary type, but both fields were recently combined into one. I tried to find a way to show an accurate percent of graduates and non graduates with both being under the same field, and have been unable to do so. Is there a way to do it? If so, what is it?I'm trying to show this as a straight up number, and not in graph form. 

How can I make it so someone can add drop down items to a field but not be able to delete,rename,access specific views? Seems like this permission system needs to be more complex bc I’m finding that I have to give up a lot of control to simply manage a table/view or add new rows. I feel like there should be minimum one more level where I can create a user to manage rows and specific fields but not delete/rename views. am I missing something? 

Hello All, I am new to Airtable & have searched but could not find a solution to my query. My table has the following fields (and a couple of more). 5 days before the due date, I send myself a reminder mail. And, this seems to be fine (preview tells me it is fine). The issue is the format of the due date. I want the format to be 22-Jul-2022 but the email shows 2022-07-22 I used the formula in the email, but it is treated as text in the email. I created another field (column) with my kind of format and the column shows the format, but when I reference this column in my email, the content is blank. Can you please help me? Best, Vikas

I am trying to set up a basic template for managing about 20 small construction projects. I have a table with records for each project and a separate table for all the various tasks that could apply to each project. I can't figure out how to link the various tasks to MULTIPLE projects while also tracking the status of the task within each separate project. Hi there,So interfaces seem really helpful, but I essentially can't use *any* of them, because it appears they consume from the 5 request/second per base rate limit that currently causes *all* interfaces to fail.  This is because we have many automations already accessing the base, accordingly.Can someone from the Airtable team comment on whether this is intentional?  I was hoping the interface designer used a different API rate limit quota than for my backend automations, but it seems that's not the case.Thanks!

I have a form for inputting contact and basic account information for new sales (form 1) - when the form is submitted, it sends a survey that the customer needs to fill out (form 2).Depending on one of the fields from form 1, form 2 can be one of five different form views (specific questions and information are pertinent to specific account types).I currently have a nested IF function and hardcoded URLs for the five different forms - is there a way to make this connection dynamic instead?  Concern would be something like, if a sixth account type was created it breaks the workflow.

I have a problem, everytime when I creating new base, I need to manually set up all tables. I have the main base that I would like copy(tables, extensions, automations) to others, can I archive that by API or code ?

Hey everyone!I'm new to this and need some help. I have a list of client details that include two attachments: a price list and a software update list. These attachments are used in automated emails. Periodically, I need to update these attachments with the latest versions.I've tried two methods:1. Linked records: I created a second table with the attachments linked to the client list. However, I'm having trouble getting the attachments to appear in the client list.2. Update record automation: My understanding is that I need to first find the relevant records and then run a repeating group to update them. However, I'm facing two challenges here. First, it seems to only find up to 100 records, but our list is much larger. Second, I'm struggling to get the automation to work smoothly.Has anyone encountered a similar situation and found a solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Some items are textiles with 7 different sizes.The 30 items are common to different entities of the company, but the stocks are different from one entity to another. (1 entity by city)I built the following tables:Entitie,Sizes,Categories,Objects,Received items,Distributed items.The last two have a form for entering what has been received or distributed.Finally, the interface displays the catalog with all the items and quantities for an agency.After this long intro, I share you my problem:To display the stock by size for a given item (textile) and for an agency, I can't find any other solution than to calculate stock for each agency by creating a column per item per size per agency.For each size, I calculate quantity received, quantity distributed and finally stock, i.e. 21 columns per agency ...I think there's a more optima

Hello there, I’ve created a pretty nice base that tracks almost everything necessary about thousands of trees planted on a farm. The base has lots of info from the date of acquisition to genus, species, notes, tons of photos, etc. But the one thing I’m stuck on is this: Since they’re 1000s of trees spread across 20 acres, I need to figure out how to Geo locate each tree or auto tag the geolocation of each tree so I know where it is on the farm. I would like this to be automatically created on a map, something like Google maps with a pin drop that shows me where I can find a plant. Spent some time googling and everything seems to be over my head in understanding how to do this. I’ve read many opinions including having to purchase some map tool from Google clouds and I’m just like “I thought this would be simple but maybe it’s not?” And this is a personal project so not any $ to spend. Hello,I have a Database that includes a table of Users and a Table of inventory (Computers , Monitors, Docking stations and so on).All of our inventory is mapped by serial number.When I give the user a device I assign it to the Air table.I want to have the option to see the assigned history by user or by device.That means if I have a user name Tom, and I gave him on 01/12/2023 a laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad , S/N:ABCD123, and I took it back on 15/01/2024.Let's say I have the record of this computer.Through that record I want to be able to view the computer assigned History- that means when it was assigned and when it was unassigned.  I couldnt find any automatic way to do so, so i want to check how can i develop this module myself.The main result should be an automated change log for every record modified, instead of writing it manually on the comment section. how can this be achieved? would love to receive any ideas or any SDK or developer documentation regarding this. &nbsp

Hi,I am creating a formula for my fixed field for a sponsor base. Not all sponsors have business names; therefore I am looking for a formula that will be something along the lines of:IF({Business Name (from Contacts)}, {Business Name (from Contacts)}, "{Contacts}"). However, the " " shows up as the physical text rather than what is in the Contacts field.  What should I be doing instead? P

Are empty record fields counted as 'Unique' in the Unique total number? I expect not, but just checking.

Hello! I'm using the Airtable API and I'm encountering an error.I'm making API requests in Node.js with OAuth authentication to retrieve records with applied filters. However, I'm receiving an error message that says 'You should provide a valid API key to perform this operation,' and I couldn't find any information about this error no matter how hard I looked. I have a single table where I have different columns for Town, County, Region etc. I then have a Description field with some generic copy but at the end I want to automatically add the Town name within its row (see image).E.g. Hello. I have used the script extension to get the URL stored in the URL field of the currently selected record. I am using the button field to send the URL to the script but ideally, I would want to just click on a record and the extension identifies the currently selected record. However, when I try to output the URL from the record in an iFrame, I simply get the HTML code for the iFrame in my output. How can I display the actual website?
