I am seeking to set up a new base for my Podcast with all the lessons learned from using airtable the last several month, however I am unsure the best way to go about planning a whole new base.  Is there any suggestions for best practices?

I am evaluating various platforms to build a custom production scheduling application for a client.  Here are some details:Customers place orders for products they need produced Each order can have multiple line items for different products they would like produced Each order line item needs to be scheduled on one or more machines to be produced. The scheduled jobs for each line item need to be run sequentially, but not necessarily back-to-back.  In fact, some products need to sit for a set period of time after one job before it can be consumed by the next job to make the final product If the date of the first job scheduled for a line item needs to be adjusted ahead or back, the other subsequent jobs need to be adjusted by the same amount of time as well.  For example, if a customer orders “Product A”, which needs to run on “Machine 1” on 3/20, then “Machine 2” on 3/21, then “Machine 3” on 3/25, if the job scheduled on “Machin

I have an Airtable base for events I host. We get repeat attendees at the different events. I would like to send text messages to the participants at a particular event if they opt in for text messages. I have this all working.The issue I need help with is that I’d like to keep a master list of participants and their phone numbers who have already opted in at a previous event so they don’t have to opt-in every time. I’m looking for suggestions on how to handle this. When I add a participant for a new event, it needs to check the master opt-in table to see if there is a match. There will be records that don’t have a match as they have not completed the opt-in previously and opt-in records that won’t have a participant as they are not attending this event. As I write this, I’m wondering if an automation is where I need to go for this???

Hey, I’m trying to achieve a scheduled reminder for the people assigned to the records. I have the whole logic defined, but it looks like the simplest solution of using “Actionable message” within “repeat for each” within the list doesn’t work (as Actionable message is waiting for action before moving forward).  Any other ideas on how to approach it in an easy and clean way without adding extra fields in the database?Also, Airtable Team, it would be awesome if this could be actually improved on your end if possible :)

When the seed movement is linked to a contractThe Lot ID should concatenate:{Final Initials (from Farmers)} {Program (from Contracts)} {Seed Variety (from Contracts)} The last two digits of {Crop Year (from Contracts)} {Contracts} (the contract number) The final Bin code (from {To Bin}) following these rules: If the seed is moved to one of these bins — HK 01, HK 02, HK 03, HK 48, HK 49 — the lot number should display the full Bin code (alphanumeric). Hi! Trying to figure out how to make a field that turns these times into a 24hr format. I’ve tried 2 different time formats examples (01:00 PM - 7:30 PM) as well as (3-8 PM). I’m have a hard time figuring out a formula that will display that in a 24hr format? Any ideas? 

This one is a little convoluted and I can’t figure out where I’ve gone wrong. I have three tables - course list, participant list, and course completion status. I set up an automation so that when a participant is added to the linked field in course list, or a course is added to the linked field in the participants table, it creates a record in course completion with that information.What is happening is that the new record will do one of three things: it will link to the correct record in the course list, it will link to a different record in the course list, or it will create a new record in the course list. I’m trying to convert an Access database we use to track event and participant data to Airtable so that we can get away from Access and all of its downsides. What we have has always seemed pretty simple and straightforward, but I’m really struggling to create a similar situation in Airtable that isn’t so time consuming. What I have is two tables connected by a join table: Events is where I create records for each new event we host, with a unique number as the identifier, as it’s possible to have multiple events on the same day. Participants is where I create records for each new attendee who participates, and the unique identifier is their username. Hi Community, I would like to know if a status change in a chart can trigger an email automation flow in another program like Klaviyo? Basically, if we generate leads from a fair and add them to our airtable and move their status to “email recipient”, can a specific email flow “fair visitors” be started? I am new to Airtable and was unable to solve my question via YT-videos, so I´m hoping that you guys can help me out. Thanks!!

Hello! When I share my forms link, even though nothing is checked to restrict access, it is requiring everyone to sign-in to Airtable? I use to be able to send the forms link and it sent the form, now it is requiring folks to sign-in. Any fix for this?

Hi, all! We’re using Airtable to intake scheduling for content, and have an automation that builds a secondary record for later content updates based on information provided in the intake form.As a second step in that automation, I’m trying to send a note to a Teams channel to confirm the automation has run and alert our team that there’s a new task scheduled on the update date .. but every time I test the automation, the update date generates blank in the preview and comes through blank in the Teams message as well, even though the field itself is populated in the original record (that’s one of the conditions).Is there anything I could be doing wrong, or is this just a quirk that will be worked out at some point?

 I’ve been building an Airtable app for my team (about 10 people) at a foundation. We make a lot of grants across different programs, and I’ve been trying to create a central hub for all of our work. So much of what we do overlaps that it just made sense to keep everything in one app rather than splitting it up.Right now I’ve got about 15 tables:  organizations, projects, tasks, budgets, inquiries (from email), notes, annual budgets, program budgets, etc. It’s a big base, but I’ve built separate interfaces for each program, so even though the back end is large, the front end feels really clean.Some folks on my team have suggested that each program should have its own app, with a master one where everything rolls up. I’m not sure that’s the best approach. it feels like it would add more work and complexity.Curious what others think.  has anyone else gone through this decision? Hi everyone,I’m trying to create a line chart in Interface Designer that shows interest rates over time. My table structure is simple: Date (date field) Rate (percentage field) Type (single select) In the chart settings: I use Date for the X-axis, Rate for the Y-axis, And I apply a filter so that only records with a certain value in the Type field appear. However, I noticed that Airtable automatically applies an aggregation (e.g., average, sum, etc.) to the Y-axis values, and I can’t find a way to set it to “none.”Since each date in my table corresponds to exactly one record (no duplicates), I’d like the chart to simply plot the rate as-is, without aggregation.Is there a way to disable aggregation or ma

Hello I thought this would be simple to figure out but somehow its not working for me.I have 4 tables.  They are all linked together.  Each field in everyone of these 4 tables has a common Dept Code (this is their link to each other).  Also in each of these fields is a field Associated Program.  At times we may need to edit the data in the Associated Program field.  If we do this I would like that update to appear in all the other tables as well.  I thought if I linked them this would be the case.  But they are linked on the dept code?  How can I create something that would update this other field in each of these tables.   Thank you, hope this makes sense.

Hi, I needed help with airtable, specifically on the fields of our content calendar. We have this added field that says “Updated Verbiage” and this is where we usually attach the Updated Document. We were able to use that before but recently and these past few weeks, we had a hard time using it because the field is not working. We cannot click the field and add the updated document. Has anyone experienced the same dilemma and how were you able to fixed it? 

Just posting this to check if there is some kind of systemic issue happening, or if this s***storm is unique to my Org. Airtable status says fully operational but something is definitely wrong.My Organization has several bases that are currently experiencing a complete collapse in their functionality. At the moment, we have 4 bases that cannot be accessed reliably, and 2 of these can’t be accessed at all. The bases can’t be loaded by any user, on any device, on any network.
