PDF OCR badly needed. Note the Vision block only supports images. Any thoughts/ideas on bulk OCR of uploaded documents?

I am no geek when it comes to sheets, most of the stuff I do comes from watching a video on youtube. I have a retail booth at a flea market and I get  my items from various resources, Some items come from estates that I buy, some from garage sales, some from a local auction house etc. I use the cents in the pricing to help identify where the items were purchased. For an estate sale, the price would be, for example, 10.31, so I can look at the daily sales report and immediately identify every item sold ending in .31came from the estate sale. What I’m wanting to do is  list the different sources I use and have sheets track and total each item based up the cents.  So in the Cell that has a heading Estate Sales, create a sum formula with the criteria of searching the sales report looking for every item sold that ended .31 Thanks in advance for the replies.  If this isn’t possible, is there a way to copy and paste selected random cells.  When I highlight multiple cells using the ctrl tab, c

Are there any plans to make a more robust print/export/embed functionality in the Interface feature? I know there are some graphs that can be printed, but I want to be able to export the full Interface as a PDF. We are using the Interface for an org-wide dashboard of our shared goals and the best way I could figure out how to do it was to take screenshots and recreate it in a separate program, which in addition to being cumbersome, creates a low-quality final product. Can you please prioritize this feature so we can use the interface as a share-able dashboard with a broader audience? We don't want to have to have everyone in our org to have to log into Airtable to see the dashboard, we want to be able to embed, print, and share.

Hi, I’ve recently downgraded from a team account to the free account. I duplicated my bases to make sure there were less than 1000 records and archived older data but I’m still getting the error. I’m not using any attachments or AI automations. Is there another criteria I should look for as I’d like to continue adding data to these bases.

Hello im trying to build an ERP for my food business we manufacture and package fast food, so my main goal using airtable is to control raw materials, receiving of raw materials, production control, finished product control, recipes, and inventory.Since my Finished product (recipe) consists of various ingredients, im wondering if its possible to populate said ingredients taken from my recipe table to my production table every time I add (manually) the quantity of items to be produced in the day. or if the is a simpler solution would be great, im trying to control de raw materials consumption during production.    

Hello! I am struggling to create an easy database template for importing data from a manual CSV export with some weirdness to it. Then an interface for data visualization that once was done using a platform that linked directly with the app generating the data. The app generating the data exports two CSV files, one for a list of “interactions” and one for a list of “buttons”, so I started with a table for each with the same fields. Each interaction row contains a lot of data pertaining to the user, so I added a 3rd table of Users in Airtable, and just made those fields in the Interactions table lookup fields to pull from Users. The Interactions can have up to 12 Buttons, and the export has several columns for each button - some of it is unique to the interaction and some applies to every use of that button, so I have put that info in the Button table and the fields in Interactions are now a lookup. Can’t imagine this isn’t a bug, but I’m open to hearing explanations. I have a table built from a Salesforce report sync. One field is Account Name. If account name contains a comma, lots of other things break because Airtable doesn’t handle commas correctly in linked records (there’s a feature request open to address this). So I have a very simple automation that should fix things.When a record enters a view I have 2 actions:Run a simple script to grab the account name, strip commas, write the new account name to a separate field in the table. This works fine. Send a Slack message that includes the new account name from that just-written field. This does NOT work. Account name is always empty in the Slack message.If I test the automation by generating a preview of the Slack message, the account name is there correctly, without commas. I’m trying to create a base for researching and resolving potential duplicates in another system. This system produces reports on a monthly basis that I’m trying to use as my starting point, ideally without any data cleanup of that file. So far I have 3 Tables:Imports Individual Records Group RecordsMy imports file/table has one row per individual record. Each individual record has a field called duplicate group ID. Hello, I have built an interface on top of a table. Within this table I have dates and I have put a column formula to get the week number. I've created a chart in the interface and I'd like a drop-down that filters by the week number but currently only allows me to filter by the date. Please help.

I've only been using Airtable for a short time, and coming from RDBMS, I admit I'm struggling a bit.Right now, I'd just like to get the equivalent of a “select distinct ... from...” and I can't seem to do it.I have a table with a column called category.How can I create a view containing one row per distinct category?I want to use it in n8n...Thank you for your help. 

Hi all, I’m pretty new to both Airtable and Make, and I’m helping a friend in the construction business (mainly renovations), set up an Airtable system for his workflow. I’m stuck on the best way to create Quote Request records for subcontractors.Here’s the setup:Jobs table – All jobs for each project (linked to Projects table). Each Job is allocated a Trade (Electrics, Carpentry, Plumbing, etc.). After reviewing all Jobs for a project, my friend allocates specific Subcontractors (multi-select linked to Subcontractors table) who should receive quote requests.  This is done by Trade.  He has Subcontractors that could cover more than one Trade. He does not want to auto-allocate subcontractors by trade, as he may not ask all subcontractors in a trade to quote.  However, not sure whether auto-allocating and then removing subcontractors not wanting to send quote requests to, may somehow be a better option - thinking about time consumption in deciding and allocating subcontractors in compari

I’m running into a confusing problem involving PDF attachments and third-party apps (specifically Noloco) that are connected to my Airtable base. Here’s a detailed explanation:Background & Problem I am using n8n (automation platform) to upload multiple PDF attachments to a field in Airtable. In Airtable itself, everything appears correct: The PDF filenames are always displayed exactly as expected (both in the UI and in the API attachment objects). Noloco (an app builder which connects directly to Airtable) is showing incorrect or strange filenames for some attachments: Instead of the real filename (e.g. 2025-08-06-21-43.PDF), Noloco sometimes displays a generic value like uc as the filename. However, for attachments uploaded manually to Airtable (via UI), Noloco displays the correct filename. Hello everyone,I'm facing a challenge with automating the synchronization between two tables: "Meeting Notes" and "Tasks."Goal:When an entry of type "Action" is created in "Meeting Notes," a corresponding task should automatically be created in the "Tasks" table. Changes to an entry in either table should be automatically synchronized in the other table.Current Implementation: I've created a formula field in both tables that checks if the entry has been modified within the last 15 minutes: IF( AND( DATETIME_DIFF(NOW(),LAST_MODIFIED_TIME(), "minutes") >= 1, DATETIME_DIFF(NOW(),LAST_MODIFIED_TIME(),"minutes") <15 ), 1, 0) An automation is triggered by this formula field when it's "1" and the type is "Action." The automation then creates or updates the corresponding entry in the other table. Problem:The formula field remains at "1" even after the 15 minutes have elapsed. I’m struggling with styling in my extension.  I can see in the browser Airtable defines over a hundred theme constants useful for styling elements.  I want to import these into my own style.css so I can refer to them, but I can’t find a way to do so.I have found useColorScheme() and other ways to access theme constants within typescript, but I don’t want to style everything programmatically.  If I want to style in CSS, am I obliged to maintain my own list of constants?

I am very new to Airtable and have been trying to figure out if there are ways for me to automate some of the things I’m doing -  I have ad copy written in one column and I have another column for sorting the ad copy by length (i.e. One-Liners, Paragraph, Essay) - is there any way to automate my length field to auto-populate based on how many lines are in my ad copy field? I tried running a field agent that was ‘if {ad copy} is 1-2 lines…’ and it worked for some records but many had errors. I also tried using the AI assist and asking it ‘if records have 1-2 lines under {ad copy} then categorize it as ‘one-liners’ under {ad copy length}’ but had the same issue where sometimes it worked and other times it ran into errors. 

Hi,One table has the entire list of our shows with an ad budget attached to each. Another table has an entire list of each ad placed, but our ads include multiple shows in each one so there’s already a linked record there, then a formula to calculate total ad spend versus how many shows are in that one ad so that we know how much is spent on each show per ad.Is there a way to use a rollup field or formula field to add up our ad spend per show and attach it to our show list in the first table? I need it to calculate correctly for each show, not just spit out the total amount.

Hi - I am trying to use timeline view to display one bar per record, but to indicate more than start and end dates.Possible?Example: Big Event 17 has a start date, a ‘launch date’, and an end dateIs there any way to have the launch date simply/visually indicated on the single timeline bar for Big Event 17?I suppose I could have it display the text of the  ‘launch date’ field in the title of the bar itself but was hoping for something more elegant... like a dot. 🤓  Are you all going to make me switch to Gantt view? 😉Thanks

Hi all. I am pretty new to working with AirTable but have managed to figure out most of what I need to know thanks to the documentation and this community! I have one question by which I am flummoxed, however: linked record filtering.We have a base with a bunch of different tables in it, including one for Team Members and one for Tasks. In the Tasks table we have a field for Status, which is a single-select field with four options: Not Started, In Progress, Completed, and Deferred. Tasks also has a field that allows them to be linked to particular team members.In the Team Members table we have a field that pulls in all of the tasks associated with a team member. I’d like that field to be filtered by task status, so that only tasks that are not completed are shown. I’d think that turning on “Filter record selection by a condition”  and using a static filter like this would work:Filter record selection by a condition, connected to task statusIt isn’t actually filtering, though; all tasks

Can airtable take an uploaded document, such as pdf, doc, docx and then extract the text from it?If so how do I sort that out?I want users to upload a document rather than paste the words in the document for a smoother UX journey

Someone knows when Airtable will decide to allow data storage in an European Server without paying an Enterprise Price for just 1 or 2 users :'(. I love Airtable, but I cannot use it for my clients and myself without data storage in EU.Or do you know a walk around for this?Cheers
