You fellas at Airtable seem to have a good support system. Are you using Airtable to help manage this? I run IT for a small business and am looking for ways to integrate support/ticketing with Airtable. Any suggestions?

Hello, does anyone know if it is possible within the use of Airtable with Zapier or even just Airtable to create an automation where the automation will search for a number of different pre-defined strings and count every record where it exists, then write to a table to record the count for various timeframes like day, week, month, year? If not exactly that, can be a more simplified version. As long as I can define certain strings I am searching for and have it count and record for a given time period - day, week, month, etc.Request Details contains large text and for any record , Request Details could contain one or more of the string matches I am looking for. Would it be better to create an automation which searches Request Details field for the string matches I am looking for then create a linked record for every string match before accomplishing the original ask?For example: I have a field called Request Details. I want to be able to search for certain string matches like Strawberr

Forgive my ignorance but I am new to using automations and cannot for the life of me figure out what's going wrong.I am trying to set up an automation to do 2 things:send an emailupdate a recordThe trigger and email portions test fine, but I can't get the Update a Record action to work.It seems to me that it must be something within the Field I want to update - I am trying to have it mark a checkbox once an email has been sent.Any advice appreciated!

Hi Airtable users, a few hours ago the performance of one of my bases started degrading. For the last two hours, tables/views stopped loading records and API calls are partly timing out, too. This affects all users, across different browsers, devices and locations. Other bases than the main production are not affected.I cannot detect any unusual behavior, but might be looking in the wrong place. Has anyone encountered services failing before and can offer any advice on how to address the situation, identify and fix the situation? Any clues would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have created a form for team members to submit their "updates on contacts" in our Airtable Database. The field updating actually removes previous content from the field and then updates to the new field submission. What I would like to do is have the automation "add" the new submission to the content that is already in the field. How can I do that?For example, we have a Notes field with previous notes already entered. We would like to keep these old notes but add the new notes to the column when the team member submits the form.

Our Airtable base collects information about our program. Two of the tables track people and the programs that people are registered for. For more unchanging information--like name, email, or date of birth--we have fields on the people table. However, for information that can change from year to year--like city, job title, or phone number-- we collect it on the program registration table. In the past, we set up our base so the most recent records for a given person in the program registration table would update lookup fields in the people table, so the people table would display the most recent city, job title, phone number, etc. This system has worked well for us, but we are running into an issue where if the most recent record in the program registration table contains blank fields that correspond with people table lookups, then those people table lookup fields will also be blank. Hey there,I've been trying to achieve the following for a few hours now, but without any luck.STEP 1: I track the time I spend on a certain activity (# session in minutes column in screenshot)STEP2:  I also sum up the time I spent across all sessions (# sum minutes column in screenshot)Question: Right now I have to do step 2 manually. As you can see in the screenshot, I manually add the last session's number of minutes to the existing sum of minutes. I oftentimes forget, and / or make errors.How can I do STEP2 automatically? I just want a column in which the last sessions' number of minutes gets automatically added to the existing total sum of minutes. Do you have ANY idea on how to do this? Seems kind of simple and I'd know how to to this in excel but I can't seem to get this to work in Airtable.Thanks!

Hi alli'm struggling with an automation and i have done my fare share of research before i decided to create this post. i have a table to track multiple account if the bank matches the books.  Here are my fields: Account, Date last matched, Status My goal is that when the date of the last matched is TODAY the status should be UP-TO-DATEIf the date of last matched is YESTERDAY the status should be UP TO YESTERDAYand so on, see attached screenshot.I have tried different automations but i couldn't find something that would work.Here are some of the stuff that i tried.     

Every day, a pizza shop offers a different specialty slice pie of the day, which I have listed on Airtables. The chat bot platform I'm using now is bad at telling time, so when someone starts using the chatbot, I would like to make an API call to my base to see(1) what time it is and if the pizza shop is open; (2) if the pizza shop is serving slices [which serves between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.]; and(3) What specialty slice pie of the day they're serving?I'm a newbie, but I don't mind doing research. Hello!I'm quite new to airtable and have been unsuccessfully trying to solve this for a while now. I'd like to assign a tags to a record based on keywords in a long text field. For simplification. Let's assum guests at a wedding text me their food options as a text field. Then I want a script or formular to find keywords in the text field. If it matches a keyword it should then assign a tag. In the image below: I want to assign the tag "omnivore" if either keyword (meat, fish, chicken) appears in the column "Dinner requests". The other keywords respectively.In my case, I only need to assign one tag, not many. We can disregard the possibility that a guest wants vegan and meat option.This is my keyword mapping table. In total, I have a fixed list of around 20 tags with 3-4 keywords each.Thanks for your help!

Hello everyone,I'm trying to extract the first Date&Time from an array from a lookup field that looks like this:2023-06-02 11:00, 2023-06-07 11:30, 2023-06-12 11:45, 2023-06-23 11:00, (etc)But using this formula: ARRAYSLICE({Lookup field}, 1, 1) Gives this result: 2023-06-02T09:00:00.000Z which doesn't get recognized as a Date&Time, so I can't format it.  Is there maybe something I'm doing wrong? Hi all!I'm trying to build an automation that's very similar to something like the automations found in platforms like Asana, Monday.com, etc. but I'm getting errors and can't figure out why. I'm sure it's very simple, but I need help!I'd like to set something up where if someone changes the status of a single dropdown from ANY record in a table, that it will update the status of another single dropdown from that same record.EXAMPLE: We're creating a content calendar for our social clients. Ok so this is a weird one, about three days ago, I paid to upgrade to teams on my airtable account. I have a $0 balance invoice and the money was charged to the card.  Today, I've logged in and my account still appears as a free user? Our approach involves utilizing Airtable as a combined solution for both project and inventory management.Here's a quick rundown: We've established a "project-specific" base to monitor products that need to be ordered, received, and delivered for each project each product has up to 750 items to keep track of. Simultaneously, we maintain an inventory base to keep track of surplus inventory and items that have been received for a project. For instance, if we need 3 units of product A for a project but have 2 in surplus, we only order 1 for that project.Now, I'm facing a challenge. We want to mark products as received in the project base and have our inventory base automatically update when we receive products. I am using a form with some prefilled fields. It works great as long as the item name doesn't include certain special characters. For instance, if it includes an "&" anything after the "&" won't be prefilled. So "Mop & Broom Holder" prefills as just "Mop". Some of the product names we have are a bit long, so it can be a pain to have to type everything out. Is there a formula to have a checkbox automatically checked if the current date is later than a specific date field in that record?  We want to be able to sort by "eligible" records and have it automatically updated as each goes past its "eligible date."  Thanks!

Hello,Is there a way to have two-way cross-references between entries in the same table?For example, there is a table [Companies]. Each entry, a company, can have clients and suppliers. If a company has clients, it means that those clients have at least one supplier - the company. I'd love to be able to connect entries so that when I assign clients, those entries automatically get updated with supplier info—and vice versa.Another example is Investors/Funds and Portfolio companies. I want to be able to add portfolio companies to a Fund and automatically have this Fund added as an investor to all its portfolio companies.Such two-way cross-reference works fine if I have several tables, for example, [Investors] and [Companies]. Airtable shows all the investors associated with a company and all the portfolio companies associated with an investor.However, I am looking for a solution to keep all the companies (portfolio companies, investment funds, clients, suppliers, etc) in the same table.&

Hello - I'm trying to figure out how to set a price based on 2 other columns. One column is Product Type (Socks) and the other would be Variant (single or 3-pack). So for example if Product Type is Socks and Variant is Single, the Price should be $3; if the variant is 3-pack, the price would be $8.Both Product Type and Variant are single select values, and I could potentially make the Price a single field as well. I also thought of combining Product Type and Variant into one column (Socs - Single, Socks - 3-pack, etc) and do Link Records instead, but I would like to eventually sort by Product Type alone (all socks, for example). Does anyone have any experience in this for inventory tracking? I am currently working with the Webhooks notifications (https://airtable.com/developers/web/api/webhooks-overview) to process record updates when a set of files/fields have changed. While I love the power and flexibility of the notification, especially the `fromSources` filtering and metadata, I have hit a few roadbumps in my implementations and I'm wondering if I am missing any obvious solutions that others have discovered.- Cursor value. Initially I thought I could possibly track the cursor value, but then I realized that this is likely just the cursor from the start of the payload list, so after 7 days of payloads, the max cursor value from the payloads will be less than my locally saved cursor, so this doesn't seem viable.- `baseTransactionNumber`. Since AirTable states that "each payload includes a transaction number, which is scoped to that webhook and sequentially increases", we can use this number to ensure we don't process multiple payloads more than once. Hello, As the image uploaded in Airtable returns the URL of the image, I want to convert the contents of the URL(image) to base64, btoa() converts the URL to base64 but not the content of the URL (Actual Image), I want the uploaded Image in base64 format. Is there anyway to do this inside automation script? Thank you
