How to add SMTP inside AirTable as there is a checkbox Send Email?

Hi all, What do you find the easiest to connect (and scale) Airtable to when it comes to reporting/dashboards, Power BI or Tableau? I realise there are no connectors for either through Zapier but have seen some workarounds for both tools. Any thoughts or suggestions? Regards, Tom.

How to filter and set condition IF EMPTY?

I’m currently working on a fairly large base and I was wondering if there is any way I can link it to Tableau, reason being I would like to visualise the data while I’m cleaning/enhancing it. I know I can download a csv - but I’m wondering if there is any way I can link directly or automate this so when I add a new record or alter data I can see the impact in Tableau.

I’m currently Zapier > Google Sheets > Tableau … Looking for Zapier > Airtable > Tableau Equiv … any ideas? Thanks in advance …

Help! I am using the Project Management template and in the broad view on Projects I can reorganize the projects into whatever order I want them in. However, when I get down into the Project and Project detail base (in List view), the only way I see to reorganize them is by sorting and that limits me to A-Z and Z-A. Is there a way to move around the projects in list view that I am not seeing?

Hey, we are currently experiencing the issue that a automation changed the way it works. The Find Records Automation used to just fail if it searched for a empty field now it gives us back the maximum Amount of Records it can find(100).These are also not empty in the field that is searched for. Is this a intentional change or just a bug? 

I have 3 tables in a gsheet - Meals, Dishes and Ingredients with a one to many parent-child relationship through IDs - meal ID, dish ID and ingredient ID.Is it possible to upload this data along with the relationships or I need to establish the relationships in airtable again manually?If it is possible, kindly also explain how?Thanks a lot. Hello everybody,I am very new to AirTable. English is not my native language.I created an external form with Fillout, which is connected to my AirTable base.When I use the block ‘multiple choice questions’ in Fillout, I have 2 options I am aware of :-Connect it to a ‘single-line text’ field-Connect it to a ‘single-select’ field The first option works great, however the second one, which is the one I’d like to use to get the advantage of the colors, brings up the following problem :Whenever somebody fills out the ‘other’ option in the Fillout Form, it creates a new single-select option in my table, which is great, BUT, at the same time, the form is automatically updated and the new option is now available to new users looking at the Form, which in the end can be a problem if people write a lot of nonsense.On the

Hi all!Please tell me, is it possible to change the rights in the interface on a specific entry after the automation has been triggered?I want to do the following:1) I have a Kanban board - an interface in which, when opening one of the records, you can change the status, date, etc.Is it possible to prohibit changing the status or date of this record when a certain status is reached (for example, done) without restricting others?2) I would like certain fields in posts to be edited only by the record author (the record author creates the post via a form)?Thank you in advance and wish you a good productive week!

I have a tab within a table, the tab is called PTO. the PTO tab has two different views I am working between for this automation. The PTO tab as a whole is populated from forms that are submitted containing requests for time off from employees. This form contains fields for [start date] and [end date] and is intended to capture both single and mult-day requests off. The first automation sends an actionable slack message for approval, which is working correctly. The second automation I am trying to set-up is intended to send a message to a slack channel each day that there is an employee out of office, listing which employee is out of office. (Bonus points for this only running Monday-Friday, even if the dates fall on the weekend).My first attempt at the automation was setting up the second view of the same tab, which would be filtered to only show records based on conditions, but I wasn't able to find a way for the records to populate if the request required more dyn

Hello,I have a Database that includes a table of Users and a Table of inventory (Computers , Monitors, Docking stations and so on).All of our inventory is mapped by serial number.When I give the user a device I assign it to the Air table.I want to have the option to see the assigned history by user or by device.That means if I have a user name Tom, and I gave him on 01/12/2023 a laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad , S/N:ABCD123, and I took it back on 15/01/2024.Let's say I have the record of this computer. Through that record I want to be able to view the computer assigned History- that means when it was assigned and when it was unassigned. And also the opposite way, through the user record to be able to see which devices were assigned or unassigned to the user.

Hello and thanks in advance.  I have form submissions coming into Airtable via a Zap from Gravity Forms.  The problematic field is Location which contains lat, lng, and address. I need lat and lng in separate fields in airtable.  This is an example of the imported data: {"location":{"lng":-122.38418565202375,"lat":47.653449368341484},"address":"Magnolia Connector Trail, Seattle, WA 98199, United States"}I need to wind up with 122.38418565202375 and 47.653449368341484 in separate fields. I've created 2 new columns in my table with the names lng and lat and installed the scripting extension. What do I do next?  Also I would like to process all the existing records at once and then process all new entries one by one manually when they come in.Thank you so much!

I have a base full of contractor information (Name, contact info, addresses, etc.) these fields are concatenated into one field.I sync this contractor info base across our project bases so that the information is readily available. When I select a contractor from a dropdown list on a project base I want it to use the corresponding concatenated contractor info field from the sync'd contractor information base into a 'contractor info' field on the project base so my users don't have to copy and paste the info in every time. I've been trying to use automation? Is this possible? What is the best way to achieve this? Shouldn't be too hard to select an option then autofill info based on that selection right? What am I missing? 

Hi! I am teaching myself through online videos, and I stumbled across one that showed me how to create a form and automate an alert in a Team Channel. I did that and it is working great. Next, I wanted to see if I could insert a link so anyone that sees that alert, can be taken directly into the table/grid. I found a video that shows me how to do a custom message, and I can get the name added, but when I add the Base URL, it will not work. At first, it was adding a long ugly code but now nothing. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, and appreciate any assistance. 

Hi all, I'm trying to set up an automation using a trigger using a linked record field. What I want is to trigger an email whenever a record has two or more linked records in a field (but not one). Is this possible to set up?For example, let's say the records are individual baseball players, and the field "Teams played for" links to a "teams" table. In Babe Ruth's record, the field would link to "Red Sox", "Yankees", and "Braves". In Mickey Mantle's record, the field would only link to "Yankees". In Jackie Robinson's record, the field would only link to "Dodgers". How can I set the trigger to email for Babe Ruth's record and not Mickey Mantle or Jackie Robinson?

Hi,My airtable gets slower and slower each day. Last night I couldn't get data from a look-up field from another connected table.The main data which I have is about 800 hotels (with 6 pictures each max 1 MG) and 200 attractions 2 images each. (In total I guess less than 4 GB images in 2 tables)I tried also for browser (Safari) hard refresh, but it didn't work (I checked it on another PC same problem).Any advice?    

Looking for ideas on how to open an Airtable form with a checkbox trigger.  I'd like to avoid using google forms.  I've tried using javascript with no success.  window.open(URL, '_blank');Any other ideas?  Seems awkward that you can open google forms with a trigger and not Airtable forms. 

Hello,I have been using the article "Writing nested IF statements in Airtable" as my template for assigning performance ratings based on a percentage score. This is basically exactly like the example in the article, however, I have not been successful. I cannot get "MSE", "FME", "EE", etc. to populate at all, only "DME". I tried using SWITCH as an alternative and was not having success there either. Can anybody tell what I'm doing incorrectly, and how I can remedy this problem?

Hello,I am trying to create a "grouped bar chart (multiple measure with repeat)" (example). No matter what I try, I continue to get a "Property xOffset is not allowed" error and the chart won't render. At first it kind of produces a stacked chart (but even then, I don't think it is correctly visualizing the data). Hello! I am trying to use the line chart in interface designer to show multiple lines with YTD data across multiple seasons. I've used the "Group By Season" selection. The inputted YTD numbers steadily increase month by month across the x-axis monthly timeline, but the lines displayed in the chart look like scribbles. Can anyone help me understand why?
