Hello everyone,I followed the following tutorial (https://support.airtable.com/docs/visualizing-airtable-records-in-microsoft-power-bi-power-query) to connect Airtable to PowerBI Desktop.I followed each step as required, my IDs are all correct, I even went to GitHub to grab the latest updated code. I also modified the authentication system as the tutorial explains it.However, it doesn't work and I get the following error message: "Sorry, we were unable to convert the null value to Record type."Could you please tell me what the problem is? There's a public Airtable that I want to access via API, but I don't have admin permissions to the table (just the link to it). Is it possible to access this data? If it helps answer the question, what I am trying to do is create a program that allows the user to paste the airtable link and convert that data into a .ICS file.Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello,Your help will be appreciated with the following issue:I have created a form and shared it via a link ("Share form" button in a form view). I need to fix typos in the form description. When I change the content of the form (in the form view), the webpage displayed via the shared link does not change accordingly. Same for the page displayed via the "Open form" button (actually this is the same URL as the shared link). I am under impression that it should.I recall that several weeks ago Airtable seemed to be working differently, i.e. the changes made in the form view were propagated in real time to the webpage reachable via the shared link (and via the "Open form" button).I do not believe this is a problem with my local browser cache, because others who open the form page on their computers for the first time ever, still see the outdated form (while their browsers did not have a chance to cache anything yet).Am I missing something, or am I

Hello, It is my company's first attempt at using Twilio. We already have our account and phone number. Was wondering how do I set it up so we can test if the message was successfully sent to this number.  Such as updating a Single Select field in AirTable corresponding to the record that would say "SUCCESS" or "FAIL". Is that possible?  What would I need to do to set it up?  I know there is a statuscallback URL within the AirTable Twilio automation action, do I do it through that?   How about collecting received responses?  

Hopefully I’m posting this in the correct section. If not, please direct me to the correct one. I was going to post in the API section, but this seemed like a “broader” section to start with. I have setup AirTable to support a gaming group of which I’m the admin. The multiplayer game does not have any admin tools leaving us to develop our own solutions. Having done table design and DW/BI work in the past, I was able to build the table structure and views without any difficulty; once I learned how the table linking worked in Airtable. I’ve even been able to create and post the “forms” for users to input data and respond to events with their “bids”. The next logical step is to create the output I need. I’ve attempted to connect Excel to Airtable with little success. I can get the connection created, but I only get a single field of “Record” values. I have a list of clients and a list of vendors. some clients prefer only a subset of vendors - i define the preferred vendor relationship in my base design. I have a form that collects requests to engage a vendor for a quote. I want : Basic: Based on client selection to present only relevant vendors in the list. Advanced: I want to present relevant vendor based on vendor category in addition to the above what’s the best way to do this with the newly added functionality of logic on lookups / rollups etc? Hello! How to link tables, but to include info in form of linked variants to choose from? Here is the deal. We sell cars. And need Airtable as a database to synch to our website. Our team members add cars to the database. The question is: How to make dropdowns in columns from linked tables, so they would “know” the previous column and provide an option to choose from a specific number of variants? Here is an example: We want to add a car. It has a lot variables, some of which are: “car maker”, “model” and “specification”. I would like to have a columns dedicated to each variable. But so if for example I choose “car maker” Mercedes-Benz, in the next “model” column I would get only Mercedes-Benz’s models, and after I choose, for example “S-class”, in the next column, “specifications” I would only be able to choose from that model’s specifications? How can I achieve that? Spent too much time trying to solve that problem

Hi! Mailed support and didnt get a reply. So Im trying here instead. I understand one can have a conditional dropdown that adds all the values from a linked table. But what if I want to select between the values? Lets say I have TABs called “Company” “Office” and “Employee”. Now I would want to add an Office to an employee - but only the offices linked to a specific company. How would one do that? Im guessing using IF statements - but would it work for string values? Helllo, New to the Airtable platform. I am wondering if this is possible. I am developing a manufacturing schedule and in the schedule you have a Phase and multiple (different) steps in each phase. Ideally I would like a (2) drop-downs side by side and the second one becomes dependent on what you chose in the first. So if i Choose Phase 3 the second column would only show steps associated with Phase 3 not all the others. Thanks

Requires Linked SingleSelect/MultiSelect Dropdown, which can be restricted on the basis of any criteria. In particular I need Dropdowns, which offer a subset of choices based on the result of another dropdown/field. For example, I would like to have a drop-down “LAND”, which gets the data from a separate table (LAND, REGION). The table would then look like this: COUNTRY, REGION Switzerland, Aarau Switzerland, Bern Switzerland, Zurich Germany, Baden-Württemberg Germany, Lower Saxony Germany, Saarland France, Aquitaine France, Brittany France, Poitou-Charentes …, … A second dropdown “REGION” should then only show the regions matching the selected country. Then the second dropdown should only show “Aquitaine”, “Bretage” and “Poitou-Charentes” when I select “France” as the LAND. We review a variety of documents for client. Such as bylaws, legal governance documents, and financial statements. Currently I have a base and a form set up. The form allows a client to submit the documents they would like to have reviewed and provide their client information. Once that is submitted the base is populated with the documents broken down by category, the clients name and contact, and a unique ID for the batch of documents. At this point we vet the documents to confirm they are the right ones start to extract the information that we need. Data can be in the form of select phrases within a set of bylaws, critical dates of documents expiring or when they were registered, and the financial details of a document. Once this is done we create a summary of our findings and present it back to the client. This is largely done manually at this point with a few automations. We want to start fully automating this process and use Airtable to store our data. B

Hello Airtable Community.  I've reached my wits end and so has chatGPT 🙂  I am using the following scripting code in an Automation to extract some data from the record that triggered the automation and insert into an external API.  Most of it is working as expected until the very end of the first function where I keep getting   CONSOLE.ERROR "Error processing Airtable update:" "Unexpected end of JSON input"  I've tried lots of logs to understand the input and everything appears in order to me.  JSON is coming back fine in each of the "console.logs" indicated in the code here.  An example here:What could be causing this error?  Source code below:  // Function to escape HTML characters function escapeHtml(input) {

Airtable, Please consider adding tabs/pages to the Record review area. There are workflows were you do not want to be scrolling up and down. Tabs would allow “pages” for other fields, text descriptions, etc. This would be similar to using the Description app. Thanks, Jonathan

I am hoping someone can help answer this basic question.We have a survey where our athletes answer using a ranting system. I want to take the rating once in airtable and assign it a number value. 1 star = 1, 2 stars = 2, 3 stars = 3, 4 stars = 4, and 5 stars =5 so I can total.Is this an easy thing to do or do I need to get the data into a number before it hits airtable?

Hi everyone, I need to have a “Filter” column that is pulling date values from 3-4 different columns and selecting the one that is the most recent. So if we have 3/10/2021, 3/10/2022 and 3/10/2023, the date that populates the “Filter” column is 3/10/2023. It’s not always consistent which column will have the most updated date. Is that possible to write a formula for? Update: MAX () doesn’t seem to work for anything other than Number fields. Desired outcome is to look at multiple Date column values, pull latest date value or if all the values are the same, output the same value.

I've got a handful of companies that had meetings taking place on various dates.  I want to filter out those companies who did not meet on both 07/17/2023 and 12/05/2023.  For example, if Company A met only on 07/17/2023, it would not be shown.  If Company B met on 07/17/2023, 09/26/2023, and 12/05/2023, only the July and December meeting dates would be shown.  If Company C met on 07/17/2023 and 12/05/2023 only, that record would be shown as-is.  I've attached a file as an example.  Thank you!

I am just about to start learning JS (how many people are saying that now Airtable Scripting exists!) but currently have no coding knowledge! I am creating a mapping from record_ids to view name. IIRC there is no better way to to do this than list all records in each view and then create this mapping. To reduce the traffic, I would like to return no fields, when I am traversing each view. However this doesn't seem to be possible as of right now. Would it be possible to add this option to API ?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to tackle an issue that I'm not sure I can solve with Airtable, but hoping to alongside Zapier integrations. I want to randomize monthly meetings across our staff, volunteers, and board. Not everyone is willing to use Slack, where I could just install an app integration, so I'm hoping to automate monthly emails through Airtable. I have a list of about 30 people in our CRM, so what I need to do is create a formula/automation that randomly pairs those people together on a monthly basis. Does anyone know if and how I could do this in Airtable? I would love for this to just run in the background, rather than me having to manually do this every month. Thank you!

When attempting to edit an app, I enter https://localhost:9000 into the Edit app dialog box, and I’m getting the following message: As well, I run into this screen when going directly to https://localhost:9000 in Chrome: This did not occur previously. I’m not sure what happened but I don’t know what I’m supposed to enable. There doesn’t appear to be an allow-insecure-localhost flag when I go chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost. Any idea what might be causing this?

Hi, I am trying to populate in a cell, "Urgent" when a project is coming up on its {Due Date} within 7 days of today AND the cell that has my completed date, {Date Filed} is Empty. If {Date Filed} is Not Empty, i'd like it to populate "Completed". If {Due Date} is over 7 days away and {Date Filed} is Empty, i'd like it to populate "Pending".Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!
