Hi everyone! Well I’ve been using AirTable to help me organize my inventory and sales orders. But now I’m trying to build a template to help me organize my construction project. In general I’m trying to set up a tab in my table that tells me how much money I have available, so that it takes all of the money we’ve received from the client in different instances and subtracts all of the money given to different contracts and shows us how much is available. Is this possible? Thank you everyone beforehand!

I'm working with a long-text column in Airtable and need to insert line breaks into my text to help improve readability. Could anyone guide me on how to add a break (\n) in my text within a long-text field in Airtable? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

When using linked records, is it possible to apply a value to only the first linked record in a cell?So if I have two tables.Table ATable BWith Table A, I'd like to find a way for the Revenue to only be a logged against the first linked record in the Products column. Is there a way to do this?(I can't do it the other way around - so applying the rollup to the first linked record only in the Sales column on table B, since I do need to be able to sum multiple Sales in this column). Effectively, I need to be able to roll up revenue from sales against each product, but in cases where multiple products are placed against a sale in Table A, I only want the revenue to be assigned to the first product in the list. Hope tha

Concept:  I have 3 columns  i  have a multi-select field of Job Types as followsAerial Display - Water / BargeAerial Display - LandClose ProximityI have a total invoice column in $ (approved spend)I have a formula column with the current formula "IF({Job Type}="Aerial Display - Water / Barge", ({ApprovedSpend}-2000)*.27, {ApprovedSpend}*.27)I have run into the issue that when the column 1 (job type) has more then just "aerial Display water/barge" selected it ignores the first, part of the formula. so I'd rather it be something along the lines of IFCONTAIN?  

Hi, I’m trying to find a way of calculating the difference between two values within the same field but in different records within the same table as per the image below. I have read many similar questions and answers but they always appear to be over complicated, although most have been from a few years ago. I am hoping therefore, Airtable might have introduce a simple way of carrying out this calculation and hope someone might be able to point me in the right direction.Just to clarify what I’m trying to achieve, I am tracking the weight (plus lots of other info) of our new puppy and want the ‘difference’ field to calculate the difference between his current weight versus his previous weight.

I'm working with a Kanban view where we drag action items into Today/Tomorrow (single select) options. I'm currently assigning dates manually, but I'd like to automate this - so that when someone drags an item into the "today" pile, it automatically gets today's date. I don't think it should be a formula (because that would automatically change dates on items that have been done in the past), but I can't find a way to automatically assign a date dynamically (today's date) with an automation. (but there must be a way, right?)

The timelines in airtable are not overly functional for what I need. I need to view up to 50 timelines on the same screen, each with multiple records. As you can see, I am only able to view a few things at once.Partially there is a base design issue here, but for other reasons I don't really want to redesign the whole base to make viewing easier.So the UI doesn't quite work for me here. I need something that can condense the vertical height these take. E.g. thinner lines, or being able to overlap them, or being able to "summarise" the total time frames on the sub-grouping.Does anyone have any suggestions for a better app that plays with airtable?  

As I've searched the Community, big shout out to folks who have shared formulas which convert dates to quarters and fiscal years. I'm currently using the formula below, and I'm trying to find a way to blank out cells which have no date. Our Attachments field ("Images") contains sometimes five or six images. Is there a formula I can use to copy just, for example, the first or first & second images only?THANKS!

Is there any way to give base user permissions to access only selected tables in a base, not the the whole base?

Previously, the table was shared and synced, but troubleshooting was done after disabling it.  Once I delete records, it re-generates deleted records back within a few minutes (less than 2 minutes), just like the undoing delete operation. Any ideas about possible scenarios? No automation is relevant to the table.

Hello there! I work with an organization that produces a 50-concert summer festival. We have about 120 Season Pass Holders, about half of whom show up to any given concert. We would like to check them in at each concert and track their overall attendance.Each person receives a physical Season Pass (a 3x5 laminate) that they bring to the concert, so my hope was to include a unique QR code on each pass that corresponds to a unique ID for each pass holder. Then our Front of House staff could scan that QR code via the Airtable app on their phone, and it would create a record of them having checked in for that concert.One thought is that each concert could be its own view, and then any check-ins within that view could be clearly reconciled. Maybe that check-in could just be a timestamp, or it could be that when the staff scans their QR, it gives them an option to toggle a "check-in" switch.Open to any all suggestions, and grateful for your help!

I would like to set a checkbox to checked based on if another field has a number in it. Here is the Function I have in a Field called CheckChain. IF({Chain Amount} = BLANK(), Chain = 0,Chain = 1) The field Chain is a checkbox, and the field Chain Amount is how many times tire chains are applied. I am using this as a check to be sure the Chain checkbox is checked, if someone forgot to check it and entered an amount.

Hi, I have a Make scenario setup, but it is not pulling through any data to Airtable. The Make scenario is attached and is very simple; it Watches for items in Podio and then Creates Records in Airtable. I have set up the link between accounts a few times to double-check that everything is working. I've continued to run the scenario, and it comes back with no errors or warnings, but when I refresh the Airtable page, no data is being pulled through. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have two automations in question.  The last time they both ran successfully was September 26, 2023 at 4:43pm CDT, and now neither work as of today.I'm not sure if its some strange permissions thing or an internal limit?
