Hi everyone! I'm trying to create an automation that tracks data from two columns. We have a "planned publish date" and an "actual publish date." I'd like to have a way to track how frequently records are published within a week or so of the planned publish date. Is there a way to set up reporting in an interface for this? Or an automation that can compare the two dates and perform an action if they're within a certain timeframe to one another? I haven't tried writing my own script, but I'm open to that, as well as other suggestions. Hi all, any help appreciated.I'm creating a Matrix and trying to use the bulletpoint "Unordered List" and check box style "Task List" options when creating the content. I am copy/pasting the syntax directly from the Markdown cheat sheet and it is working for *most* cases, but randomly not for others and I have no idea why. I've tried deleting and re-entering, typing out rather than pasting, deleting the record and starting over... There seems to be no reasoning - that I can see - for the random times it goes wonky. I've attached some screenshots of the wonky incidents.Thanks in advance!

I have a table of Properties, and a table of Transactions. I would like to do an interface, whereby one can first select the property, and then enter the date range.Based on that, i wanted to show the Transactions which match the PropertyId, and are within that date range. I couldn't find any 'datepicker' element, and neither could I link the filter to the value of the Property Select earlier. Am I missing something, or is this functionality not supported?

Hello everybody ! I would like to set up an RFID card reader system for my fitness center that will be linked to a database. I would like to have the time when a customer scans their RFID card saved in the corresponding customer line and change his status from something like “Inactive” to “Active”. Can I do this with Airtable? I’m kind of a newbie :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks in advance !

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm going to try my luck. I have a table with a lot of columns, and lots of records.  Sometimes, I need to find a particular set of records.  Considering I have say 100 columns,  I then need to locate the column. I use the "Find" feature to search for the column name, which locates it.  However, if I then have to move around the dataset to locate certain rows, I might need to move horizontally within the view, to locate certain information. This makes me end up losing the horizontal position of where that column is. Considering that there is no concept of a column index, I cannot say "Column Name" is Column Index 50 in this view, and then I can easily scroll to it.  I need to remember the scrollbar position, which is very vague.I'd appreciate if you have any advice on this matter. Hi! Does anyone know how to restrict access to a shared interface? I gave a read-only user access to an "editable" interface I made for my creators so that she couldn't utilize it. For her to submit information, I made a read-only version with a form; however, I cannot unshare the editable interface at this time. I can't find a "remote access" option for her account. How come? If it helps, my account is Pro.

Hi,I am looking for a way to make my 'Last Modified' column update when a look up field updates. I understand that this is not directly able to happen as it is not an editable field. But I was wondering if I could do this with automation? The look up field is a text box and could contain anything.

I’m creating a database of training staff have completed. I want to be able to cross reference between a table of staff and a table of training so I can:pull up a staff member’s records to see what training they’ve carried outsee the different training that has been carried out and expiry dates of thoseSo I can store the data, I’ve currently got it set as one table that does everything but when I add new training for a member of staff, I need to copy their data (team etc) for that new training. Or when I create a new training for lots of people, I’m having to copy the course details for everyone (course name, date etc).Complications are that there will be courses that staff will complete on different days but it would be good to view them in the training table all together.I can’t visualise how the two will work together or how to set it up. Can anyone make any suggestions or send a snapshot of something similar you’ve created? I have

Hi all, I have automation setup to put notes in long text field when certain conditions met (and was proud of myself :winking_face: )…BUT when it triggers it removes and REPLACES any text that may already be there…just wanting to add additional text in that field…can that be done?

Hiya AT community, I was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on my issue, as I haven't been able to solve this one on my own!I have a script that is performing some updates to a stocktake via a script. It will find matching items and then update the value in the number field. My confusion here is that it is working for one field and not the other field, I have tried different strategies to try and get an error or figure out why, but the field ID is defs correct and the field name used instead also produces the same result. When I check off some of the tasks in my task list I get "An error has occurred" and I get logged out. This is happening for other users too. I did a hard refresh, cleared cache, tried from an incognito window.... Nothing. It happens in the interface and in the data view too. I think maybe ones linked to automations, altho the automations seem okay. I also tried cloning the base in case it was just corrupted. Same thing.

We have dozens of automations that I've built running in our paid plan. Troubleshooting an automation in a free plan, so I may be missing something obvious!- Automation Trigger - when form submitted. - Slack Action - send channel message with simple text with field data from the form. This was running for months with no issue, we edited the message field and the automation tests run successfully. we see the post appear in the correct slack channel BUT.. we can't get the Automation Toggle to stay on.  (It is on for one second, then reverts to off.)We're below the 100 automation limit for the Free plan, so not sure what else might be causing this.any suggestions?

Interface newbie here (and, I've been at that stage for a LONG time, tbh) I'd love to build out an interface, but I'm just *not getting it*. I can add basic elements, but some of the things that my brain is visualizing, I can't get to replicate in this space. For example: I'd love to have an interface reflect on the success of the events the day prior. How many overall registrants across all events (which I've figured out), and then display the highest few (2/3?) events as a separate widget. I think I need to make these all formulas in my data? Or can I just make a formula in the interface itself?One layer further, we have a team of 6. It would be cool to have one interface show each person's "best" (highest registration count) event from the day prior, all within the same widget. Help?

How do I update a record on a table, based on a record on another table that just got updated, it requires a record ID but the update record automation action only gives the record ID of the just updated record and not the ID of the target record

I have an airtable interface that shows records from my "Ideas" table. One record in the idea table is a linked record, linked to the "Engagement" table.  I set up my interface & fields so I can have link to multiple records (field setting) and expand the linked record (ie the engagmenet record), link/unlink records from the interface, and create new records from the interface.  When I click "New engagement", my form pops up to create a new engagement. However, when I click "Create", nothing happens, and a pop up in the left hand corner says "You are not permitted to perform this operation" Any ideas what might be going on? 

Hi and thank you for any help you can provide.I have created an automation so that when a record status is set (trigger = Pending), I get an email and Slack notification.I would like to know how to include record information in the notification. Right now, I'm just getting the message I typed in the Message field. Can I add record specifics there? I would like to see when the record was last modified, which in this case would be when it was set to Pending. I would also like to include other fields, such as the headline and writer.Thanks for your help.

Is there a way to convert an existing Project to a Task? We are cleaning up/re-organizing our system. There are 4-5 existing active Projects (with notes, dates, details) all for the same client... these should really be Tasks under a single Project. I just can't recreate these as Tasks under a new Project - too many notes and details. Is there a way to move those 4-5 Projects under a new Project, making them tasks? keeping all the existing information?Example: Cat Photos, Cat Bio, Cat News Release, Cat Petting Event have all been entered into our system as Projects. I would like them to be Tasks under a single Project named Cat.Help!

Is there a way to filter a table that has been grouped and totaled (sum) by the group's total? 

Hi,I'm a relatively new Airtable admin. We have a user who can log in using SSO, but when he does he gets an error message saying that his free trial period is almost over. Since we have an enterprise account, I would think he shouldn't see that message.His account looks ok to me in the airtable admin area:(I covered over his real email address for privacy, but it looks like the rest of our users - uniqueid@dartmouth.edu.) I've tried signing him out of all sessions from the button shown, and had him log in with a different browser and a private window. None of those things helped.I opened a ticket with Airtable support, but I thought it was worth posting here as well. Any thoughts on how to fix this?Thanks and have a good day,Joe MontibelloMana

Hello, I would like to ask someone from the community for advice, or the correct formula, since within Airtable I solve such tables, or a linked table with several fields / windows, while it is a kind of recorder and at the same time an evaluation of records in the recorder of activities of members of a team.So I have one table called Schedule of activities where I have the first column which belongs to the Activity ID, the second column which belongs to the date and the third which belongs to the Type of Activity and then there are other columns with checkboxes, each one belonging to a specific member - e.g. Member A, Member B, Member C etc. (one column for one member).And then I want in the next table, or table field /table window called Summary of members' participation in Type of Activities, I wan to make a summary of the number of participation of specific members in specific types of activities. I'm happy to compromise and limit it to 2 options if necessary.

I am creating an automation between airtable and slack, so when a record is created in a view in airtable it notifies a slack channel, and tags people based on another field - but I'm having a few issues!In the record we have today's date, the task type, details about the task, the scheduled date and the member of staff needing to be notified. If no staff member is mentioned, it notifies the channelI have the trigger set up as "When a record enters a view" and a delay totaling 116 seconds (multiple scripts one after another) with an action to find the record. In the run history this is complete, and it shows the fields and their content - however the slack notification is not including any of the fields in the message. Additionally, if 2 members of staff are tagged, it only actions the first one, then finishes the automation. Any help appreciated, some images attached
