I have an airtable interface that shows records from my "Ideas" table. One record in the idea table is a linked record, linked to the "Engagement" table.  I set up my interface & fields so I can have link to multiple records (field setting) and expand the linked record (ie the engagmenet record), link/unlink records from the interface, and create new records from the interface.  When I click "New engagement", my form pops up to create a new engagement. However, when I click "Create", nothing happens, and a pop up in the left hand corner says "You are not permitted to perform this operation" Any ideas what might be going on? 

Hi and thank you for any help you can provide.I have created an automation so that when a record status is set (trigger = Pending), I get an email and Slack notification.I would like to know how to include record information in the notification. Right now, I'm just getting the message I typed in the Message field. Can I add record specifics there? I would like to see when the record was last modified, which in this case would be when it was set to Pending. I would also like to include other fields, such as the headline and writer.Thanks for your help.

Is there a way to convert an existing Project to a Task? We are cleaning up/re-organizing our system. There are 4-5 existing active Projects (with notes, dates, details) all for the same client... these should really be Tasks under a single Project. I just can't recreate these as Tasks under a new Project - too many notes and details. Is there a way to move those 4-5 Projects under a new Project, making them tasks? keeping all the existing information?Example: Cat Photos, Cat Bio, Cat News Release, Cat Petting Event have all been entered into our system as Projects. I would like them to be Tasks under a single Project named Cat.Help!

Is there a way to filter a table that has been grouped and totaled (sum) by the group's total? 

Hi,I'm a relatively new Airtable admin. We have a user who can log in using SSO, but when he does he gets an error message saying that his free trial period is almost over. Since we have an enterprise account, I would think he shouldn't see that message.His account looks ok to me in the airtable admin area:(I covered over his real email address for privacy, but it looks like the rest of our users - uniqueid@dartmouth.edu.) I've tried signing him out of all sessions from the button shown, and had him log in with a different browser and a private window. None of those things helped.I opened a ticket with Airtable support, but I thought it was worth posting here as well. Any thoughts on how to fix this?Thanks and have a good day,Joe MontibelloMana

Hello, I would like to ask someone from the community for advice, or the correct formula, since within Airtable I solve such tables, or a linked table with several fields / windows, while it is a kind of recorder and at the same time an evaluation of records in the recorder of activities of members of a team.So I have one table called Schedule of activities where I have the first column which belongs to the Activity ID, the second column which belongs to the date and the third which belongs to the Type of Activity and then there are other columns with checkboxes, each one belonging to a specific member - e.g. Member A, Member B, Member C etc. (one column for one member).And then I want in the next table, or table field /table window called Summary of members' participation in Type of Activities, I wan to make a summary of the number of participation of specific members in specific types of activities. I am creating an automation between airtable and slack, so when a record is created in a view in airtable it notifies a slack channel, and tags people based on another field - but I'm having a few issues!In the record we have today's date, the task type, details about the task, the scheduled date and the member of staff needing to be notified. If no staff member is mentioned, it notifies the channelI have the trigger set up as "When a record enters a view" and a delay totaling 116 seconds (multiple scripts one after another) with an action to find the record. In the run history this is complete, and it shows the fields and their content - however the slack notification is not including any of the fields in the message. Additionally, if 2 members of staff are tagged, it only actions the first one, then finishes the automation. Any help appreciated, some images attached

Hello, Airtable community. I have a Google Drive synced Airtable base and all Zoom call recordings are stored there. I need to use an app to show the Zoom recordings by clicking on the drive link. Is that possible anyway? Any app for that? All apps I tried, are looking for the attachment field. Thanks in advance. Dave

Hi all,I am trying to create a grid view in which I keep track of projects (the latter come into through Airtable forms).Each project goes through 6 stages with specific tasks associated to them (the tasks are always the same for each project). I would like to have a list that shows the tasks that have been completed for each project against the ones that are missing and, on the basis of this, I'd like to be able to track the progress (through a progress bar/formula?).Is is possible? If so, how could I set this up?

Hello everyone,I have a form from which i collect various data for my events. I am trying to create an automation to pull 2 parts of the form to put them in 2 new records in some other tables (Form -> Contact[table] and Company[table]).I was having no issue at all until I tried to pull the data of a single select field from my trigger record (the form) and use it as input for a single select field in the other table. It only gives me the possibility of choosing an option from the destination table an not from the trigger record. Also meaning, the blue button to choose which data to pull isn't appearing.Anybody had the same issue and/or have a solution for this subject matter ? I would really appreciate your help !Thank you all

Hello everyone,I need to insert the current date in a filed when a second field is updated (Yes or no) in the record updated.My need is that the first field is a "Date" because it could be modified inserting a different date in the case of any modification.I can not find any solution: automation with a button is too difficult for me (script) and automation does not the job for the record updating.Please can you help me? I’m curious if anyone else has tried pulling data from Airtable into AutoCAD. I understand that AutoCAD can connect to SQL databases or an ODBC source. That makes me wonder if I could connect to Airtable through the ODBC Data Source Administrator in Windows to then connect to AutoCAD. Thoughts or Ideas?

Hi, I am a new Airtable user and I have a problem with the display of data in Calendar view: the date of today is wrong and tasks are scheduled one day before the defined date (see attachment). If I login on the phone the dates in Calendar view are correct. How can I correct the today date in Airtabel on my PC?

Hi all,I am stumped on this, but I imagine it's something fairly straightforward.I want to run an automation that will copy data from one field (Copy-to-field) to another (Copy-from-field) but preserve the original data in the Copy-to-field.Note - the Copy-to-field is a look-up field.The trouble is, when the Copy-to-field contains data, it  is wiped by the new data from the Copy-from-field.I have tried adding the Copy-to-field as a data source in the Copy-to-field in the automation, along with the new data I want added but this throws up two problems:1. It combines the original data with the new data, rather than keeping them as separate entities as I need, which is important because this is a look up field (i.e. it creates a new combined record in the look-up table e.g. instead of 'Joe' and 'Bob' as two distinct entities, the entry jus

I have interface pages utilizing the "tab" filters, but im not seeing any way to default to a specific tab. Instead it defaults to "all records" every time. Even if i navigate to a specific tab, and copy the URL to share with someone, it refreshes back to "all records" tab.

Hello 👋I have been building automation to link data from one table to another when one table receives data from Airtable's Web Clipper extension.I have a way to do this, and when I run each step of the automation test, the data is populated in the correct fields in the other table.The problem is that on the final step of the automation, Airtable thinks that it received invalid inputs despite it correctly updating the record when running the test.I will try to outline the automation below:1. Web Clipper is sending data to a table called 'Applications'; it has a single select field for Companies, linked from a table called 'Companies'.2. If a company does not exist in the Companies table, there is a text field for New Company's.3. The rest of the data is entered into the Web Clipper and sent.4. I need to upgrade to Teams, but don't have time right now to  re-train myself and others if necessary.  What are the major differences between the two products?  Will the bases look and act the same in Teams as it did in the free product?

Hello,How can I change who receives the notification when a form is submitted. There are other people designated as owner in our workspace. 

Basically the title. This was working yesterday, showing the name of the person who modified the record most recently. Now it shows the red ! triangle and says "Invalid visual variant" in the Record Detail.What's weirder is when you open the interface editor to try and figure out what's going on with the Record Detail, it shows the correct name.

Hello all, I am stumped. I am trying to combine data from two multiple select fields, into one. For the sake of confidentiality, I have created an example of what I am working with, using part of the Greek alphabet instead of the actual data: The goal is to combine these two columns into a third that looks and behaves exactly the same as the first two, simply with the data from both combined, into one. As easy as this feels like it should be, every single option I’ve seen either turns the output into text strings (which renders it useless for our tracking purposes), or else it requires a great deal of manually typing or copy-pasting the individual options of the multiple select, into the formula, one by one. I have information coming in from another application that puts a list of email addresses in a text field and I want to use that list of emails to each contact associated with that list and link them in a separate link field. I've tried to think through ways I can use Loop on Zapier, but it overwrites each subsequent contact, and Airtable doesn't seem to let me use a comma-separated list as something to use with it's repeat action in Automations. Any ideas?
