I’m trying to use the SUBSTITUTE function to get rid of emojis so I can have a “clean” version of some fields my client want to have as downloadable in .CSV I need to have a formula with a bunch of substiutions, but I started from the very first and I get nothing but errors, formula atm looks like this:SUBSTITUTE({Respuesta Pregunta 1},'✅','')I realised the error has something to do with the type of field of {Respuesta Pregunta 1} as it is a lookup field, just for testing I created a single text field next to it, copy the data of the lookups to the new text field, applied the formula to the text field, and it works. So I’m suspecting SUBSTITUTE doesn’t work with lookups? Any ideas to work this out?

Hey Guys! Hoping everyone is well. I'm finding myself wanting to bulk-update records by a specific field and I'm wondering if this is possible? Does anyone know? Is there a script or anything? See the two fields? "Goes out to" and "Status"? Both are single select and currently I need to update each record individually which is time-consuming on some of our tables. They can have hundreds of records that need updating. What I would loooooove to be able to do is select multiple records and update the statuses on the selected records in one action. Anyone have a way to do this?

I’m creating an event registration form, and pulling in the event through a linked record, but the only field displayed in the form is the name of the event. Because I have multiple events with different dates / times and the same name, I’m wondering if there is a way to pull in additional information into the form for each event. Thanks! Clay

Hi all — every time I try to import a Google Sheet into Airtable, I get this error:"Can’t import from Google Sheets — Something is wrong with Google API."This happens regardless of which sheet I try. The sheet is shared properly and I'm logged in with the right Google account. Is this a known issue with the Google Sheets sync or a permissions problem? Would appreciate any tips on fixing or working around this (besides switching to Excel!).Thanks!

I have to put into place a secure Data base that I can generate a form from and when it's completed populates the Data base. I would like the feature where for that particular information I can generate a QR code, so if scanned the information associated with that form can be read. when scanning the QR code 2FA authentication is required. Is this possible in Airtable. If so could I have directions as to how to get this going. I want to try and do this myself if I fail I will ask for assistance or a developer to do it for me

I apologize- I feel like this is probably already asked and answered, but I’ve run out of search ideas. We have a form with lots of conditional logic- it’s being used as a call script. There are several places where folks may jump off and want to hit “Submit”- dead ends on the tree. Is there a way to do this?

Hi. I’m not a coder and I’ve only been using Airtable for a few months. I’ve mostly used chatgpt when I’ve come up against something I can’t figure out on my own (which is mostly anything that requires coding) and it’s mostly done OK with a little back and forth. For my current problem it keeps giving me bad info so I’m turning to you all. I’m building a database for my company to track various data points about the projects we manage. I have a table called ProjectsList for this. For each project, we get many associated elements and I try to capture various data points on each element. This is done in ElementLog table. When we receive a schedule for a project, I log ScheduleStart and ScheduleEnd. In a normal world, every schedule would be a 5-day workweek and have the same holiday days off, etc. and it would be easy to set up fields that count work days/weeks between schedules, can do countdowns from today to start date, or tally days remaining in the schedule if we’re within

Hello everyone,I'm experiencing an issue with one of my Airtable bases and a Google Drive synchronization. For the past few days, a specific table that is linked to a Google Drive folder has stopped syncing. I haven't made any changes to the base, the Google Drive folder, or the synchronization settings.The error message I'm receiving is: "Unable to sync new data."I've already tried checking the connection to Google Drive and restarting Airtable, but the issue persists. Has anyone encountered this error before or have any suggestions on how to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance."

I’d like to use AT to create a Directory of our 400+ members.  I’ve set up the fields + form for Members to submit their details. I would like to also use this for our internal team - so they can record notes of all calls with each member and other details.  I understand how to create hidden fields that the members don’t see, however I’m unclear on the best way to create the “member notes” piece -- should I link to a Member Notes document on our Google Drive or can I do this all inside of AT?   We will be asking Members to complete the profiles and for those members who do not, we will add them but keep their profile private.  I’m unclear how to do this also. I’m also unsure how to set up my team members to be able to access the directory backend to add notes.  I’m on the free version and hoping to not require an upgrade.  Any help is welcome!  I am not a ‘techy” but feel confident it should be relatively easy to do.  Tha

pro back up vs on2air. Which is the best and safest way to back up airtable data

Hi all - I am looking to see if anyone has information on the safety of using Pro Backup as their main backup program for Airtable. Our company is needing a backup for our system and this seems to be the best one we've landed on, but we can't get a straight forward answer from Airtable on if they feel like it is a secure company to work with. If you or your team uses Pro Backup, I'd love to hear about your experience and if you feel like your data has stayed safe. If you don't have experience with Pro Backup but have another backup program/system you recommend, that would be helpful as well. Thank you!

Hi,I have made a mistake in one of my automation, and what was supposed to run 1-2 times per week ran over 20 thousand times overnight. Luckily this happened on May 31st, so I did not need to wait for my quota to reset. However this made me wonder if there is some kind of safeguard feature in Airtable that would, for example, maximise the number of daily runs for each automation?

I am newish to AT so maybe I am missing something.  I have read a few, slightly older, threads where users are looking for a two way sync solution and there have been many third party for a few solutions to their connection needs.  I don't need a two way sync, looking for one way from Sheets to AT.I am working on a project to link multiple content calendars and projects. Some of those calendars live in Google sheets, in the future we may be able to lure those teams over to using AT but that is not in the cards at the moment.What I am looking for is a solution that does not require us to have a subscription to yet another service.  I mistakenly thought that AT would have been the solution for these calendars that live in different systems.Is there a way currently to one way sync a Google sheet to AT?  I want AT to be the source of truth but the teams will be working out of sheets to make updates, so would just need those updates to be reflecte

Hi I receive email orders and would like to add the received emails to the order record in my Airtable. Tried a drag and drop but this transfers the message from Outlook as a .msg, which can’t be read. Occasionally there are multiple emails, and I would like to have them all in the same place, with the particular order. Any help appreciated!

I created an interface designer page of the type “list” and it show perfectly  on the desktop client. In this list there is only 1 field (= primary key field), about 30 characters wide. But on my iPhone, the field gets truncated, showing only the first 25 of it, following by 3 little points (...), although there is a lot more space ( I estimate around twice as much). Is there something I can do to prevent this truncation  ? Or is this a standard behavior of the mobile interface designer ?

Hi everyone, I’ve searched the community but only found some older threads on this topic, so I wanted to bring it up again. Are there tricks/workarounds that do not including setting up rules within mail-inboxes to just delete the notifications? Right now, I can follow or unfollow comment threads manually, but it’s tedious to manage this every time. I’d really love the option to set a default notification preference—specifically, to only be notified when I’m mentioned. Having a global setting like “Notify only when mentioned” would make the interface much more manageable, especially in bases with a lot of activity.

I have discovered airtable in the last few days, so very amateur! I have created my first couple of automations to send an alert to managers e-mail when specific actions need to take place. The trigger e-mails include complete an absence review meeting if a staff member exceeds Bradford score of 150, and another is complete punctuality investigation meeting if employee is late more than 3 times in a month for example. The information like absences, probation due dates, lateness are stored in different bases. I would like to know whether it is possible to use these alerts to create a task list from all bases so I don't have to go into multiple bases and tables to find outstanding tasks. I would then like to be able to upload an attachment of say a performance review and this to automatically update to a completed task. Thanks in Advance!

I have a table, Calls, that will soon have lots of records and lots of data.  I would like to provide the user with a simple interface to add a new call.  Each call contains linked records to other tables -- e.g. “Liturgical Date,” “Prelude,” etc.I would like the user to be able to select from a list of existing linked records , or to enter information for a new record for that field if it doesn’t already exist.It’s very straightforward how to allow the user to select an existing linked record.  However, I can’t figure out if there’s a way to let them add a new one on the fly. Does this exist?  I’m really hoping so, since if not, the data entry will be very tedious at first, if the user has to go to one interface to input all the liturgical dates and music, and then to another one to select them.Thank you!
